Dermatologist tips on pores!
FACTS ABOUT PORES: Pore size is affected by: ✔️ Age ✔️ Sun exposure overtime ✔️ Genetics ✔️ Skin type For these reasons, it is not possible to shrink pores, but these products can help minimize the appearance of pores (I listed different options to choose from in each category. One from each category is all that would be needed): 1. Sunscreen ✔️ SPF 30 or higher in the morning, reapply every 2 hours (can use setting powder to reapply!) CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios Ultra Fluid Face Lotion SPF 50+ Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Invincible Setting Powder SPF 45 2. Salicylic acid cleanser ✔️ Once a day ✔️ Treatment for acne CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser THE inkey LIST - Salicylic Acid Acne + Pore Cleanser 3. Retinoids/retinol ✔️ Takes ~12 weeks to see an effect ✔️ Treatment for acne ❗️Acne may get worse before it gets better ❗️Only at night, must wear sunscreen during the day ❌ Avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Adapalene Gel .01% Topical Retinoid Acne Treatment ❗️Sensitive skin may not be able to use salicylic acid cleanser and retinol/retinoid together at night (may be too irritating) ✔️ For sensitive skin: can consider salicylic acid cleanser in the morning & retinol/retinoid at night It can take weeks to months to start noticing a difference, patience is 🔑 What works to help decrease the appearance of your pores? Hormonal and sensitive skin HELP!!!
Hello lovelies! I really need some advice from this community. Also please excuse me for looking extra poopy, I took these photos while at work and on 4 hours of sleep. Throughout my teens I had clear, dewy looking skin (although a bit oily at times). This continued until I stopped taking the BC pill Sprintec. A few months after this I had small cysts, closed comedones, and blackheads galore and my original skincare routine no longer worked. I finally went to a derm and she had me start using Differin and the prescription topical solution Clindamyacin. These appeared to work wonders for my skin and I was essentially back to normal until, well, I went on Lo Loestrin Fe, another BC pill. I grew up with mild eczema on my body but it was very manageable. For the first time ever it started popping up on my face (that includes those red bumps on my cheeks that look like acne, but it’s actually my eczema). Then the forehead comedones lurked back. My skin is now at a standstill and nothing seems to work for it anymore. It is definitely much dryer than it was but my t-zone still gets oily. Below are my AM and PM routines. I’d really like advice for healing my combo/dry VERY sensitive skin. My biggest concerns are the comedones that refuse to leave my forehead. They’ll heal almost fully (maybe leaving 2-3 small ones) and then flare again where they’re all over my forehead. Then my dry patches. I’m afraid that anything I use for these are going to clog my pores. AM: Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser A lot of people hate on this cleanser but it has never irritated my skin. It could do more but I’m afraid to try anything else. Clindamyacin - ONLY on my forehead and chin; I honestly don’t know how much this does for me anymore but I don’t think it hurts me either. Aveeno - Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer I really wanted to love this. It appears to soften the skin at first but it pills before I even apply my SPF. I’ve only used it for a few weeks now and will likely switch to something like the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 I do enjoy this sunscreen. Now, however, it seems to be a little drying on my cheeks. PM: Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump I stopped using this on my dry areas (cheeks and nose) but still use it every day on forehead and chin. Somehow my dry patches got worse after I stopped using this on them. CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I love this moisturizer. It’s great for balancing out my oils and doesn’t clog my pores.
Let’s first start with a major component in “preventing” pigmentation which is sunscreen. It prevents photo damage that leads to brown spots and post- inflammatory hyperpigmentation. My absolute favorite sunscreen and the one I have been using personally for 10 years is elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 Retinoids- They work by increasing the rate of cell turnover. It helps to fade dark spots, acne marks, melasma, sun spots, and liver spots. Just be careful since retinoids can also cause irritation and redness, you don’t want to cause any more pigmentation to your skin. A good over the counter retinoid is DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump which once used to be a prescription, is now available over the counter. Glycolic acid- A popular ingredient used in many skincare products because it works so well at reducing discoloration, getting rid of dead skin cells, and creating new skin cells. It keeps pores clean and reduces hyperpigmentation. A favorite, super affordable, and one I also use personally is The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Be careful because it may not be suitable for all especially sensitive and darker skin types. Azelaic acid- Believed to work just as good as hydroquinone. It speeds up cell turnover and reduces inflammation. A great acid for all skin types and even safe to use during pregnancy. A great option is PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Azelaic Acid Booster I love adding a drop or two to my moisturizer. Vitamin c- A holy grail ingredient for many and myself. A vital component of any skincare routine. Vitamin C works a lot like retinol, inhibiting the production of melanin. Not only does it lighten dark spots, it helps to brighten your complexion. Vitamin C helps to prevent hyperpigmentation, and is most helpful when used in the AM. My absolute favorite hands down is SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum I have yet to find me a better vitamin c serum. Kojic acid- This also like retinol and vitamin c reduces the production of melanin. This ingredient is also a favorite in products because of how well it works to even skin tone, treat acne and acne marks. A favorite product SKINCEUTICALS - Phyto + Hydrating Botanical Serum With Kojic Acid Alpha Arbutin- it works by decreasing the activity of melanocytes. Alpha Arbutin is known to safely and visibly brighten skin and fade pigmentation. It reduces melanin formation, improves appearance of age spots, freckles, melasma, and post inflammatory pigmentation. An amazing and affordable product is THE inkey LIST - Alpha Arbutin Brightening Serum It is a great simple formulation, and super affordable. Incorporate one or more of these ingredients into your skincare routine to achieve great results in reducing pigmentation

I just finished theSupergoop! - Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50 With Sunflower Extract Here’s why I’m giving it a 3/5 stars. Texture: slightly oily but blends well and has no white cast Smell: sunflower essential oil smell. Kinda like tea tree. My skin type: oily and acne prone When I use it: daily or twice a day. I apply it on as part of my morning skincare routine. I wanted to give this product a 5/5 when I first got it but after using it for a while, I started to notice that this product was not good for my skin type. It did not make me break out at all which is a very good thing because my skin is acne prone. Pro: Right when I apply it in the morning, it made me face look dewy and fresh but.. Con: it does leave and build up a heavy oily layer on my face throughout the day which did not feel good on my face. Between reapplying every 2 hours, that layer made me look really oily. Pros: I really liked the smell because I very dislike the smell of regular spf sunscreens so much. This spf was the first that I’ve used that doesn’t smell like regular ones. The smell of this product was pleasant and not overwhelming. Does this product do the job? In my opinion, I think this spf does a great job in protecting my skin because I could see my acne scars and dark spots fading away. I did not get sunburns on my face as I usually would if I’m in the sun without spf. Overall, if you have oily skin, I would not recommend it. However, if you like an spf that doesn’t smell like regular spf and love a dewy look then I would recommend it. It pairs really well with Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Invincible Setting Powder SPF 45 I use the shade medium. It leaves a matte finish which is great for my oily T-zone. MAKE SURE TO WEAR SUNSCREEN EVERYDAY!!! Because what’s the point of doing your skincare routine if you’re not going to protect your skin :) sn
Briannaxliv Recommended👍Must Have at SEPHORA❤️ I tried them and found...
The beauty blogger Briannaxliv shares her favorite skin care product that she brought from Sephora! I'm so excited to not only share her love products with you guys but also with my personal review! Hope this information can be helpful to you! Let's see what's her skincare loves!❤️ 👍First Aid Beauty -- KP BUMP ERASER BODY SCRUB 10% AHA $28: FIRST AID BEAUTY - KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA Keratosis Pilaris (KP) is a common skin condition that causes dry, rough patches and tiny bumps. First Aid Beauty's fast-acting KP body scrub reveals healthier-looking skin with Glycolic and Lactic Acids at a combined level of 10% to help loosen the skin’s top layer while also decongesting pores with pumice buffing beads, delivering the benefits of a chemical peel and microdermabrasion treatment in one. 💋Briannaxliv's Review: Best for the small bumps on her thighs and arms. She feels this is the best money she has ever spent. You won't be disappointed to try this product. 💕My Review: As what's she feels, this product really works! But for my personal feeling, maybe it is because the bump issue on my arm is not serious, I can see my bump issue has been relieved but this product is not able to eliminate the problem. If you have serious bump issues, this product is definitely worth trying! 👍Youth to the People -- Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream $58: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi A deeply hydrating moisturizer with superior plant extracts and a pro-grade peptide complex formulated for dry, reactive, and sensitive skin. Fragrance-free formula made with an intelligent hydration trio of Squalane, Jojoba + Shea butter for long-lasting deep hydration that won't clog pores. Adaptogenic extract blend helps skin cope with dryness, irritation, redness, and fine lines + wrinkles. 💋Briannaxliv's Review: This product is soooo underrated and is her soulmate moisturizer. Especially for someone who has a combination skin type with rosacea, this product does not only help with the redness but also super hydrating and won't break you out. 💕My Review: I'm surprised that she love this product that much. I got this product when the product first came out, but I only used it for a short time and replaced it... The texture is pretty heavy, which I think is not really good for normal oily skin type. If you have dry skin, you might love it. Also, I really really hate the smell of this product. The smell is hard to describe but is really awful to me.🤢 You might want to smell it first before you buy it. 👍Supergoop! -- 100% Mineral Invincible Setting Powder SPF45 $30: Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Invincible Setting Powder SPF 45 Reapply your SPF with a 100% mineral setting powder that mattifies shine and sets makeup. This sweat-resistant, translucent formula smooths skin’s appearance and reduces shine. 💋Briannaxliv's Review: She loves to use this as an SPF reapplied when she has her makeup on. This product is the mineral base, sweatproof, and will leave a matte finish for your makeup but only have 4 shades. 💕My Review: I love this product soooo much!!! You definitely wanna try it for sure!!! It is super convenient to take it with you and reapply your SPF anytime Just simply brush it on your face, then you will get a matte finish without ruin your makeup and added protection! The oil-control power is really nice, so if you are dry skin, I'm not recommending this to you. Another point I loved was the brush! The brush is replaceable and you can take it off to wash it clean when you feel use it too long that it might have bacteria on it. I feel really safe to take it with me! Love it! Love it! Love!👍👍👍 ❤️Hope you guys like it❤️

Lightweight & invisible SPF from the drugstore
Yes, it’s not summer anymore. BUT I’m not giving up sunscreen for the cooler months and neither should you! I love using sunscreen every single day. And I’m always on the hunt for a new one thats super lightweight but effective. This Vichy one super lightweight and great to reapply throughout the day because it just glides over makeup but... it might not be my favourite SPF. VICHY - Idéal Soleil Ultra-Light Face Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 The good: + Glowy, but not too greasy. It does look very dewy at the beginning, but it does settle into a slightly less dewy finish. Still dewy though so if you have oily skin, just be aware of that: + This texture is like a very light liquid, not like a lotion. And because of this texture it is so easy to slide over the skin. + Although the colour is white at first, it does turn invisible on the skin pretty quickly. I don’t experience any white cast. + Sinks into the skin super easily and doesn’t pill or affect your makeup application. + This is great to reapply over your makeup throughout the day because it just glides over whatever is on your face and since it’s invisible, it doesn’t affect the colours of the makeup that you have on. + A super accessible product that you can pick up at almost any drugstore. It’s around $25 depending on where you purchase it which isn’t too cheap but feels like a fair price. + Provides broad spectrum protection against UVA (which lead to aging) and UVB (which lead to burns) rays. + I love how thin and sleek the packaging is. It would be great to throw in a bag or purse when travelling or for a day trip. + It’s fragrance free and oil free for my sensitive or acne prone friends. The not so good: - I do have a TINY bit of skin irritation from this product. Just a tiny bit of stinging. It’s not enough for me to stop using the product but still.. probably not the best thing. - If you have oily skin, you may want to go for a more matte product just to be safe. And if you apply over your makeup you may want to use some powder to mattify the look. Worth it? I do think it’s worth the price for $25! It’s a good amount of product and the product is effective and very pleasant to use (aside from the stinging). Will I repurchase? I honestly think I won’t and may opt for the LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios Ultra Fluid Face Lotion SPF 50+instead once I run out. Just because of the skin irritation that I get. Which is sad because I think overall it’s a great product :( Ps I have combo, acne prone skin 💕
Allure beauty box first impressions 🎁
Surprised I received this box. I was going to cancel September’s box but I must’ve forgotten, not mad at the stuff included. Didn’t rate the products since I’ve never used them before. First item I saw was the elf highlighting brush. Usually elf brushes are really soft. I’m so sure it’ll be a great brush. Full size $4 e.l.f. - e.l.f. Highlighting Brush Wander beauty unleashed volume and curl mascara. I have the mile high club volume & length and I really like it. I feel like these mascaras are pretty underrated, I don’t usually see many people talking about it. Excited to use this. This is full size. $24 WANDER BEAUTY - Unlashed Volume & Curl Mascara Elemis pro collagen cleansing balm, this smells really nice. It’s a good size to try it out, 0.7 oz/ 20g. It’s supposed to melt of makeup and leave your skin really soft. Definitely want to try this out. $14 ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm Cleo noir eyeliner in purple, ok so I’m glad they didn’t send out the standard black or even brown eyeliner color. The color looks really cool and I want to try out many looks with this! This is full size. $18 CLEO NOIR - The Twist-up Liner La roche-posay anthelios light fluid spf 50, super excited about this! Not only is it reef safe I’ve heard it’s really good. Remember you need to apply spf all year long not just in the summer. The sample is small at 0.17 fl oz/ 5ml. This tiny sample would be worth about: $2.09 for 0.10oz $4.18 for 0.21oz LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios Ultra Fluid Face Lotion SPF 50+ Waterless dry conditioner, this seems really cool. Instead of the dry shampoo making my hair seem straw like I’m excited to use something that moisturized my hair. This will be really useful Now since temperatures are going down. Full size is $7.99 for 3.6oz This is the 0.98oz so maybe $1.99 value WATERLESS - Dry Conditioner Weightless Smooth Glam up soothing aloe sheet mask, allure always includes a sheet mask. I’m not sure how I feel about getting a sheet mask all the time. I usually don’t use these that much. If I’m being honest I might gift this to a friend. I’m sure it must feel nice but they’re not for me. $14.20 for a set of 10. Individually $1.42 GLAM UP - Glam Up Sheet masks For $15+tax this is a really nice box. I usually recommend this box to my friends to try it out. This box would have a retail value of approximately $66-70. Definitely worth the $15 price tag. October allure beauty box will be $23+tax, not sure if I will get this.

PRO TIP! when you apply a retinoid before bed, the oil from your skin can cause the retinoid to travel on your face or transfer onto your pillowcases. this can cause the retinoid to get on sensitive areas and cause burns! for me, it was my eyelids. i applied the cerave healing ointment on the burns and they healed in a day. now every night before bed i apply the healing ointment and now no more burns!!! my acne was bad and left deep scars and with these products my skin has never looked and felt better. Acne/Rosacea/Irritation ✨ 2 Month Progress
Hi Lovelies ❤️ I am a new to skincare but slowly starting to fall in love with taking care of my skin and the self care aspect that goes along with it! I have been dealing with redness, acne and rosacea for around 10 years. I have combination leaning oily skin that is pretty sensitive. For the past 2 months I have been using adapalene 3 times a week and I did experience some purging and irritation in the beginning, but it has subsided over the past 2 weeks. I don’t use any other actives like salicylic acid at night with the retinoid since it causes my skin to get irritated. If you also have sensitive skin or rosacea I would love to know what products you use to help with redness! Also I have been looking into a thicker moisturizer and eye cream for nighttime so any recommendations would be appreciated! Here is a run down of products that I use on my skin and the regimen I’ve been following for the past couple months ❤️ PM ROUTINE BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream humane - Oil-Free Daily Lightweight Face Moisturizer LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Adapalene Gel .01% Topical Retinoid Acne Treatment (three times a week) AM ROUTINE CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream humane - Oil-Free Daily Lightweight Face Moisturizer PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ OR Neutrogena - Sensitive Skin Face Liquid Sunscreen SPF 50

Not a fan :(
I have only been using the CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30 for about two weeks, but I’m already not a huge fan. I have very fair skin, so this stuff makes me look orange :( I was very disappointed because CeraVe advertised this in a way that made me believe this would blend into ALL skin tones, but clearly this is false. It also makes me look more oily after I apply it, but I guess that is to be expected with any spf. I will say, this would work for anyone with more of a tan skin tone. My sister is pretty tan and when she tried it, it looked perfect on her. Not a bad product overall, just didn’t work for me. I honestly expected better :( • If anyone has any tips on how to get rid of the orange tint it leaves on my face, please let me know! I would also love some recommendations for good mineral sunscreen (tinted or not) that is not visible on fair skin!
Empties Mini Reviews
✨EMPTIES✨ • CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. I love this product. This is maybe my 10th bottle. It’s lightweight, hydrating, full of beneficial ingredients and none of the unnecessary stuff. This isn’t quite heavy enough for my dry skin to use in PM but I love it for AM use under my sunscreen. Oily / Combo skin friends will love this as a PM moisturizer. ✅ Will definitely repurchase. • Benton Deep Green Tea Toner. Full of antioxidants and calming ingredients. It’s hydrating but super light weight. Great for people with oily skin, acne, or irritation. ✅ Would repurchase. • CeraVa Hydrating Sunscreen (Sheer Tint). This leaves a nice glow and is super comfortable to wear. However, the formula could use some improvement. It transfers VERY easily and doesn’t stay on the skin. A lot of my clothes ended up with this smeared on them. It is also not a great tint, pretty dark / orange hued - people with fair skin should stay clear. I wish they would come out with more tints. The bottle also got clogged up easily and made a huge mess around the top. ❌ Wouldn’t repurchase. • Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer. I Love the feeling of the moisturizer. It is like a big gulp of water for my dry and dehydrated skin. It contains many skin barrier supportive ingredients. This products only downfall is the price. I think I could find other hydrating water cream moisturizers for a more cost effective price. ✅ Would repurchase (if I can’t find a dupe 😜). Have you tried any of these products? Which is your fave? Much love to you, friends!🌻

only a two weeks difference!!!
Crazy how quickly skin can change!! Also, I am 19 and clearly don’t have wrinkles so that can be attributed to an error in the Skin Journey function, lol. HELP I’ve tried everything!
I’ve been trying to take extra care of my skin for the past 4 months but nothing seems to be working. Morning routine: CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin CeraVe - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 for Face with Zinc Oxide Night routine: THE FACE SHOP - Rice Water Bright, Light Cleansing Oil CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% CeraVe - SA Lotion For Rough & Bumpy Skin pura d'or - 100% Rosehip Seed Oil Every few nights, I alternate between Paula’s Choice 2% BHA exfoliant and the CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol in place of The Ordinary Niacinamide. In addition to this routine, I wash my pillow case every week, eat relatively healthy, and don’t wear any makeup. I also use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutiononce a week for 10 minutes. I have acne-prone combination skin. My struggles are acne scars and bumps/texture on my cheeks. I’d especially like to know how to get rid of the bumps and what’s causing them. I also recently abstained from my actives for 2 weeks in hopes of my skin clearing up but that obviously didn’t work. I’ve been using my CeraVe products for almost 2 years. My skin only started breaking out more once I incorporated more products little by little. I don’t think this is considered purging because this has been going on for 3 months. I also don’t think this is maskne because I rarely leave my house. PLS HELP! I feel like I’ve done all I can. I can’t even see a dermatologist because I don’t have insurance. #help #helpmyskin
Layering Guide to Acne Fighting
Heyyyyy y’all! So since I’ve been in Korea and wore a mask for 24 hours straight my chin/jaw is trying to do its own thing. Luckily your girl packed enough skincare to last her 6 mo here! My jet lag has been kicking my ass being 13 hours ahead with a 6mo old, but my skin is so important with all my progress made. When “layering” products in my opinion there is no right amount. Yet, there is a correct order. (Remember water to oil) Nights Cleanse: My favorite acne cleanser right now is the CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser While it can be drying (why it’s has 4 stars) making sure to add a cleansing oil before and hydrating serum after is key! Hydrate Y’all know I’m a toner lover. So I am using the peach slices - Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner I recently reviewed how much I love this toner and how hydrating it is. Followed with The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Remember to apply this damp skin. This is 🔑. Treat The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% This is a godsend for my pores. My oily t-zone has been helped a lot by this product. DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel I replaced this item because I prefer a retinoid over BHA for my acne type. It’s mostly hormonal but since suffering from low grade maskne it’s helped . Moisturize fresh - Lotus Anti-Aging Night Moisturizer This is my HG night moisturizer. It’s amazing. My skin feels so soft and smells so good afterwards! ELEMIS - Daily Defence Shield SPF30 Y’all know I love my Tula but this is hardcore. I wanted something that would be effective under a mask and still moisturize. When I use Tula I get a glow which I would prefer to use in a setting my glow would be “seen”. I’m making a list of k-beauty items I want to get once in our quarantine and other things! I also want input for makeup tutorials 👇🏾👇🏾
Why I Don’t Do DIY Skincare Anymore
So I’ve always been a SUCKER for DIY face masks. Like I have some saved for my dark spots or for my consistent acne. I would try Turmeric and Lemon Face masks or my banana and oatmeal masks.. there was more. Way more.. and it got worst from there. Ik i look scary but that photo was taken LITERALLY 8 DAYS AFTER CONSISTENTLY USING LEMON AND TURMERIC FACE MASK...🤭 sooo i had a good reason why to look a little scary h I would save them in jars to use for later cause I would make big batches to use for later (bad IDEA) and I thought i was going to get great results... little did I know. I didn’t get the results I wanted. I got: -Fungal Acne - Skin Peeling -Sensitivity to the Sun -More Acne Scars -More Hyperpigmentation It was hard to see that my skin wasn’t getting the benefits that I was assuming it would get. My face was irritated and I didn’t put any sunscreen on also which also made it worse. My skin was dry and peeling and I had a LOT OF BREAKOUTS after. My pigmentation got worse and I didn’t really have the self esteem to get up and look good. I just lazier than I already was (Lol). BUT I GAVE UP ON IT AND FIND A SUNSCREEN TO COVER MY SCARS~ elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 Mine was tinted but it definitely helped keeping my scars from showing and it had Zinc and niacinamide to help with my scars so it was AMAZING!

Best for those with non-reactive/sensitive skin
This was gifted to me in PR. I have oily, dehydrated, sensitive/acne prone skin. This SPF 30 is chemical, reef safe, and refillable, which is absolutely amazing! I was hoping to love this formula, but unfortunately it makes my skin red and irritated, and after a few days of use I decided it wasn’t for me. While I am so happy there is an SPF in this line, it could have been better to suit more people - aka sensitive skin. Chemical SPF filters are already a higher risk for irritation than mineral, and with the high amount of fragrance this has, I believe the two are what caused my skin to be irritated. On the plus side, it’s extremely hydrating, and I think would best suit those with normal/dry skin types that are non reactive. I hope she comes out with a fragrance free, mineral option!

NEUTROGENA CLEAR FACE SUNSCREEN ($8.99)
Neutrogena - Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid Lotion Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 The Product Neutrogena Liquid Face & Body Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen Lotion for acne-prone skin Delivers protection from UVs and prevents skin-aging. Dermatologist-tested formula is oil-free and non-comedogenic, so it won't clog pores Consistency Sunscreen lotion has a liquid, water-light texture that leaves a matte finish on skin Opinion I have had a great experience with this neutrogena product. I wear it everyday under my makeup to protect my skin from UV rays. I decided to try this product because it was specifically made for sensitive, acne prone skin and claimed this it was break-out free. This suscreen doesnt leave my face oily and doesnt break me out with daily use. I would reccomed this sunscreen to anyone with sensitive skin or who wants a light suncreen with high SPF.

Has anyone else experienced this?? 🤨
⭐️The SMELL oh my goodness. I have a very sensitive nose and this gives me headaches, smells like straight up chemicals to me. My sister tried it and she didnt mind the scent at all, so I guess it just depends. FOR THIS REASON, I use this mostly when I’m at the beach or on a day I know Im going to sweat a lot. Yikes. ⭐️I’m not sure if I would recommend this for people with darker skin tones unless you want to rub your face away and wait for the white cast to leave. It leaves a slight cast on my skin, but I dont really mind because like I said, I use this sunscreen on my ‘whatever’ days. ⭐️This is IDEAL for sensitive skin prone to acne, rosacea and hyperpigmentation. It contains niacinamide (vitamin B3), hyaluronic acid and lactic acid. It is lightweight BUT I feel like it never fully dries out for me and it leaves me a bit oily throughout. ♥️CONCLUSION. THIS IS A GREAT SUNSCREEN that even has niacinamide. I would recommend this product to anyone. I’ll probably repurchase it, but do want to try other sunscreens first to not have to deal with my aversion to this smell. IF YOU ARE A SUNSCREEN NEWBIE, I think you should try this out. There’s absolutely no harm (maybe a headache if you’re like me) lol. What do you think of this product? -J

Top 5 sunscreen - especially for acne-prone skin
Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 I will be the first to admit that I was not serious about sun protection in my youth, but now I’m on the sunscreen train and never coming off. One of the reasons why I never wanted to wear face sunscreen was because it would leave me with inevitable breakouts. It took me a long time to find formulas that work with my skin and Supergoop’s Unseen Sunscreen is now my go-to. 💛💛💛 What I really love about it is that it’s oil-free and doubles as a makeup primer. It literally glides across the skin with its velvety formula and leaves it prepped for makeup, so you don’t have to worry about layering anything on top of it and potentially overwhelming your pores. (I do, however, add a little bit of a glowing on top of it to my high points for a dewier glow but Unseen Sunscreen has the rest of your skin covered!) 💛💛💛 The only thing I cannot vouch for is it’s shine controlling properties. My skin is oily enough to begin with and if it’s a stressful or sweaty day, there’s nothing that can stop my shine (this low-key sounds inspirational?? Lol) 💛💛💛 I would definitely recommend to a friend, especially if they have acne-prone skin. It's a little expensive ($32) compared to other sunscreens, but it really works and a little goes a loooong way.
Supergoop!-Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40
A perfect daily sunscreen
The sunscreen obsession continues...Ever since I got the soft airy UV essence I haven’t reached for anything else. The name almost perfectly describes this SPF, as it really is soft and airy on the skin. The good: + 50 SPF and broad spectrum protection. + This glides on SO easily. It looks kind of like a white cream when you first squeeze it out, but then it just magically disappears into the skin. + Absolutely no white cast and doesn’t leave behind a shiny residue. + After I put this on, I swear my skin feels so soft! + It’s great for reapplication, I feel like it doesn’t affect my makeup at all underneath (note: I typically go for minimal / makeup these days). It smooths over any makeup super easily. And it won’t pill under makeup. + Doesn’t clog my pores or causes breakouts (I was fairly confident since this has a more gel-like texture like my daily moisturizers). I believe this product has niacinimide which has been proven to help with excess sebum production. + Its alcohol-free! The not so good: - I believe this one has some essential oil in it... but I don’t find it irritating at all so I’m willing to ignore that part. - Like most kbeauty skincare products, I need to order this online, so the wait is almost always 2-3 weeks for delivery. Is it worth it? Yus. Although it’s around $34 CAD, it is a bigger bottle (80ml of product versus my other kbeauty sunscreens which are 50ml of product). AND it works well and doesn’t break me out. Would I repurchase? Definitely. I feel like this is worth every penny which makes me feel more inclined to reapply a good amount each day. Which is essentially the point of sunscreen so I think it’s probably a good thing. Ps I have combination, acne prone skin :)
