While this moisturizer has retinol, vitamin C, and
Feeling accomplished with another empty ✔️ Even though this one was pretty meh: The Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair Moisturizer ($18) was one of the first products I tried to even out my sunspots. This was before the days I stumbled on to the “skinternet” and researched things like concentrations. While this moisturizer has retinol, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid, the percentage of the active ingredients is not disclosed. I’m willing to bet the concentration is low because I didn’t see a difference. Because I was underwhelmed by this, I actually switched to using it as a hand cream because I liked the scent. My hands get less skincare routine love so I can usually see greater differences there (that’s how I knew the peterthomasroth Peptide line worked so well - I could even see the change in my hands!) But again, no perceptible difference with Rapid Tone Repair. So sayonara, Neutrogena Moisturizer. Thanks for the memories.

My Eczema Solutions
Restocking on empties of my recent favourites that I’ve been using since February. At first I was only using them on my face, but as I had a developing eczema rash since January, I was ready to try anything. Since the Face Food mist (hydrating, anti-pollution toner) is packed with anti-inflammatory, collagen-enhancing minerals (silver, copper, zinc, magnesium) & the Putty (pUH-tee 😜) pomade contains soothing colloidal oatmeal and restorative ingredients (honey, turmeric, zinc, hemp oil), I realized the results would be quite obvious. After all, these two products from a clinically-proven superfood Canadian skincare line have been beneficial for dry and inflammatory faces. Besides your skincare is encouraged to be applied onto your neck too... ✨ which I never previously considered much. So look at the results after about 3 weeks of use, starting near the end of March (my neck looked like it did in February, but a bit worse throughout most of March, so I just didn’t focus on taking “progress” pics because I was hopeless with the eczema.) Within a few days of mixing the two products in my palm first and then applying on my neck for better absorption, I noticed that, unlike other eczema balms, I only needed to apply the mixture on twice a day, morning and night, that’s how moisturizing it is at a CELLULAR level! I have fallen in love with this stuff, it also smells great (FF: vanilla, P: cream oats,) so I decided to get the big sized bottles after my empties, and the cool thing is I get to reuse my Face Food mist bottle (bonus sustainability point). Although, the airless pump may be hard to recycle conventionally, you can always submit your beauty product empties to Terracycle!♻️ And as for eczema, I just want to say that its pathological root cause is very complex for each individual. I’m still figuring mine out, but I’m pretty sure it’s nutrition & stress related. So I look up to skincare as a maintenance practice, that keeps my skin relatively healthy, while I’m figuring out the other pieces of the puzzle. 💝 Stay tuned for how I clear up the scars + hyperpigmentation, this isn’t the first time I’ve dealt with this! The moisturizer that gives you GLOW!
What is it? VERSO - Nourishing Cream is A nourishing cream that provides intense moisture and long lasting hydration. Packed with Niacinamide to aid in protecting the skin barrier, along with oat lipid, Vit E and skin identical fatty acids. How I use it: I apply this as a last step in my routine on my dry skin after I applied my serums. My experience: Y’all. I ❤️ ❤️ this moisturizer! It is not thick at all in spite that it is recommended for night time use. I like the subtle earthy scent that is not overpowering at all. My skin absorbs this cream well, never pills and doesn’t feel greasy at all. The best part is the ✨glow✨ I have the morning after because of this moisturizer! The only downside though is that it costs $110 dollars. But I am really over the moon with the results that I got, so I am going to purchase the full version of this. It’s totally worth it!
Moisture, SPF and VC
This here is my everyday, must have, never go without moisturizer. The Murad Essential C day moisturizer not only contains vitamin C but also it’s SPF 30. It works great under makeup or alone. I also apply this to my hands as well as upper arms. Smells great, long lasting moisture that you just cannot go wrong with!

h2oplus Rapids Probiotic Sorbet Moisturizer w Champagne & Yuzu Extracts I can admit that I bought this moisturizer bc I’m a sucker for a pretty box and any product that claims it will deliver a dewy complexion. I tried it this morning and first impressions: It delivers super soft skin, lightweight hydration, and subtle dew without the grease. The product is sorbet-to-liquid, melts right into the skin, and smells really nice and fresh and flowery. There’s definitely fragrance in here and it lasts for a while—aka I applied hours ago and can still smell it—so if that’s a no-go for you, look away. My skin definitely feels content w this moisturizer though. Excited to keep testing her and see how she does under makeup!

Old 🆚 New, Which One You Should Get?
Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream for Night is a very popular entry-level retinol product which I have been repurchasing for a long time. So, what are the changes and upgrades in the new version? Anti-aging effect The concentration of retinol has been increased 3-fold, and the estimated retinol concentration of the new version is 0.2% to 0.25%. At the same time, it adopts new patented "Accelerated Retinol SA" technology to increase the effect of retinol and reduce irritation. Protection of retinol Retinol is an effective but weak ingredient that losses its ability easily. Neutrogena has improved the packaging of the new version to reduce the loss of its ability. Other effective ingredients Both the new and old versions provide the same effects, which includes anti-aging plus soothing and moisturizing plus anti-oxidation, but the old version is achieved by using retinol, vitamin B5, vitamin E, and camellia leaf extract, while the new version is achieved by using retinol, vitamin C, sodium hyaluronate and hydrolyzed peach leaf extract. These ingredients are considered to be an upgrade. Texture The old version has a thicker and heavier consistency but it leaves your skin with a matte finish while the new version has a more runny consistency that is more lightweight when applied. Summary: Old version: A lower concentration of retinol, it's affordable, and it's more suitable for entry-level newbies. New version: A higher concentration of retinol, increasing anti-aging capabilities and being more suitable for those who are seeking a greater anti-aging effect. It's relatively more expensive too. It is suggested that those with slightly sensitive skin use a small amount of retinol to build up skin tolerance before increasing the dosage.
