Does hyped means good?
“Instagram Faves” I am sure I am not the only one who sometimes end up buying few products because of the hype about them on IG even tho we may not have bought them otherwise. Guilty? I know. @purito Centella sunscreen ☘️ SPF 50+ PA++++ ☘️ Contains Centella - Helps in calming the irritated skin ☘️ Good for all skin types ☘️ No Fragrance ☘️ No white Cast ☘️ Moisturizing- may be too thick for oily skin types if used over moisturizers. Can be used in place of moisturizer as well Price - $20CAD for 60ml My Experience:- > Amazing product at great price value > Moisturizing - Great for winters > Can be too thick sometimes if you are using many layers of other products underneath > Do not prefer this for hot summer days - make me sweat a lot ?? Anyone? Would I repurchase? No. I prefer my elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46
Why does everyone hate on these products? 💙😥
Now I have been sampling different vitamin C serums for a while, and I have been loving the C Firma from Drunk Elephant! Now I will admit the smell is a little off putting and it is sticky (what serum isn’t though?!) but wow my skin has never been brighter! I personally use this in combination with the B Hydra to make it less sticky and add some extra hydration. As someone with dry skin, I love this combo! I also think you get more out of the product. Will I be repurchasing - Both, yes. I like how they work together and I am seeing great results. I would never recommend these products on their own, but as a combo I would. This being said, please share your vitamin C recommendations below as I am considering changing due to the stickiness and smell. *Disclaimer - I do not support Drunk Elephant in the ways they treat not only their staff, but also their customers.*
The Trunk 4.0🎪🐘
🎪DRUNK ELEPHANT - The Trunk 4.0 This kit comes fully stocked with everything you need for a truly complete skincare routine & a swift getaway! 🛩☁️ I wouldn’t travel right now, even if you paid me. Covid numbers aren’t going down & I take these facts very seriously. Haven’t had contact with almost anyone since March, because I do have a neurological disease that could put me at risk. I can’t tell anyone what to do... but do I urge you to consciously protect strangers while protecting yourself & your loved ones. My condition is one often referred to as an “Invisible Illness”. Many people have health conditions that others don’t outrightly see. Most people think I’m completely able-bodied unless I’m seen limping or having convulsions. I’ve only had this condition since 2014, so it’s been an adjustment & learning experience for my own prejudgements as well. 🧳My bf really likes the Monos locking suitcase & encouraged me to purchase this while the big Sephora sale was going on. He has to travel for his essential-work sometimes & this is a perfect carry-on size! It’s just as wide & deep as the ‘Monos Carry-On’ ($293) & only 4” shorter. specs: 18” high x 14” wide x 9” deep. Monos describes their Carry-On as: Designed to comply with the size restrictions of as many airlines as possible, & fits in the overhead bin of nearly any flight. So I think this slightly shorter rolling suitcase would 99% likely be accepted as a carry-on. 💚Really impressed with the quality! Its lightweight but well structured, great features/compartments + an antibacterial laundry bag. I’m totally new to Drunk Elephant, but I wanted to try their L-Ascorbic Acid serum, Glycolic Acid serum & the Babyfacial🍼🐘 I also want to start using a gentle retinol. Those 4 products alone would have been $324! With my Rouge discount: $360! Regular price is $450- You get 10 full size products, 3 minis +5 sample packets. 18 different things to try! ➖Which would you like me to review first?➖ 🐘I want to trial everything before I review! 🌞good morning glow🌞
Hello beauties! I wanted to share my morning routine with you all now that I *finally*seem to have one down. My nighttime routine uses a lot of actives but I like to keep it relatively simple in the morning and it has paid off! 🌊LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser I feel like every skin care junkie has a part of the routine that they find themselves drawn to product-wise and mine is definitely the cleansing step! I use many cleansers but I wanted to share this one since it’s my favorite for the morning. This one is incredible, a short, amazing ingredient list, a nice milky consistency that leaves my skin feeling refreshed. Who could ask for more to start the day? 🦋cosmedica SKINCARE - Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum To prevent stripping my skin in the morning and compromising my repairs from the night before, I always make sure to apply some hyaluronic acid immediately after cleansing. For the price and it’s efficacy it’s definitely worth it, however it’s not the most luxurious hyaluronic acid product out there! ✨The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Liquid. Gold. I upgraded to the 2 oz bottle because I have become obsessed with this product in the last six months. I have noticed less redness throughout the day, less sebum production in my T-zone, and a gradual evening of my skin texture. I can not live without this product! 🌸HADALABO - Tokyo Skin Plumping Gel Cream I had just run out of my Honest Beauty hydrogel cream so I sort of got this one on a whim after watching a Dr. Dray video. I can not get enough of this product! The gel texture for the morning is exactly what my skin craves and yet the gel doesn’t just feel like water, it blends like a cream. My skin instantly looks refreshed and plump after applying. I am excited to see the long term effects! 🌱e.l.f. - All the Feels Facial Oil All hail cannabis! I was absolutely floored by this product. This was *another* impulse buy but for $12 I didn’t feel too guilty about it and now I’m so happy I sprung for it! I love using this on top of my moisturizer in the colder mornings for a little something extra. This sinks in so nicely and keeps me hydrated all day while delivering a beautiful glow to my skin. I’ll be keeping this around all fall and winter long! 🎍PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ There were days before this sunscreen, and there are the days now. This product has been such a game changer in how I look at sunscreen. I used to abhor putting on sunscreen because it felt thick and pasty and made me look like Casper the ghost. This one sinks in like a moisturizer and leaves absolutely no white cast. This is my second bottle and I’ll be looking forward to purchasing this again OR trying the #PURITO - Comfy Water Sun Block[products]# next! That’s my morning routine! Thanks y’all 💕✨🥰

Products to love ❤
CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Overnight Mask This is such a luxurious moisturizer. I wear it a few times a week and when I wake up my face is soft and firm. Just a dab will do ya!CeraVe - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50 for Body with Zinc Oxide Love Cerve products but this one definitely leaves a cast. Forbid you apply too much you will look absolutely Geisha. Certain I'm well protected, so I save this for a beach or hike day.elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 Goes so smooth and actually feels moisturizing. I love that it has niacinamide and its legion of skin benefits. ANDALOU NATURALS - Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask I'm a self proclaimed maskaholic; and, this is one of my favorites. Tingles for a few seconds upon application. Reminds me of chemical peels I've had done with a facial. timeless SKIN CARE - 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum Don't leave the house without this and my sunscreen. Said to boost effectiveness of sunscreen and contains antioxidants, anti-aging and improve hyperpigmentation. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Super plumping. I sometimes mix this with my Retin-A. I've repurchased several times. As soon as this bottle runs out I have The Ordinary Marine Hyaluronic which I'm excited to try. Cos De BAHA - Niacinamide 10% Serum Another love. Also contains Alpha Atbutin. I apply this after my Vitamin C and before Sunscreen or after a chemical exfoliant or mask (AHA/BHA).
Hormonal and sensitive skin HELP!!!
Hello lovelies! I really need some advice from this community. Also please excuse me for looking extra poopy, I took these photos while at work and on 4 hours of sleep. Throughout my teens I had clear, dewy looking skin (although a bit oily at times). This continued until I stopped taking the BC pill Sprintec. A few months after this I had small cysts, closed comedones, and blackheads galore and my original skincare routine no longer worked. I finally went to a derm and she had me start using Differin and the prescription topical solution Clindamyacin. These appeared to work wonders for my skin and I was essentially back to normal until, well, I went on Lo Loestrin Fe, another BC pill. I grew up with mild eczema on my body but it was very manageable. For the first time ever it started popping up on my face (that includes those red bumps on my cheeks that look like acne, but it’s actually my eczema). Then the forehead comedones lurked back. My skin is now at a standstill and nothing seems to work for it anymore. It is definitely much dryer than it was but my t-zone still gets oily. Below are my AM and PM routines. I’d really like advice for healing my combo/dry VERY sensitive skin. My biggest concerns are the comedones that refuse to leave my forehead. They’ll heal almost fully (maybe leaving 2-3 small ones) and then flare again where they’re all over my forehead. Then my dry patches. I’m afraid that anything I use for these are going to clog my pores. AM: Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser A lot of people hate on this cleanser but it has never irritated my skin. It could do more but I’m afraid to try anything else. Clindamyacin - ONLY on my forehead and chin; I honestly don’t know how much this does for me anymore but I don’t think it hurts me either. Aveeno - Calm + Restore Oat Gel Moisturizer I really wanted to love this. It appears to soften the skin at first but it pills before I even apply my SPF. I’ve only used it for a few weeks now and will likely switch to something like the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 I do enjoy this sunscreen. Now, however, it seems to be a little drying on my cheeks. PM: Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump I stopped using this on my dry areas (cheeks and nose) but still use it every day on forehead and chin. Somehow my dry patches got worse after I stopped using this on them. CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I love this moisturizer. It’s great for balancing out my oils and doesn’t clog my pores.
Easy morning skincare in a rush💨
Ever had days you feel so rush in the morning to keep up your skincare routine when you are almost later for school or work? I feel like every weekdays I am always in a rush especially in the morning when I race time time for bus or train. I love keeping a simple morning skincare routine just to buy myself a little bit more time. If you are like me.This is for you! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 This Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 is one of my favorite product from Drunk Elephant. First used a sample size from Sephora and then went for a full size. This Drunk Elephant uses Zinc Oxide 20% in this sunscreen. Unlike many other chemical SPF, this is a physical one. If you have acne prone skin, this is a really great product! If you have oily skin, you might not like it because of how hydrating it is. It Doesn’t take long for it to absorb into the skin. It mixes well with my foundation for a more sheer effect. It may leave a bit of a white cast on deeper skin tones. It doesn’t make me break out like a lot of other sunscreens. DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum An anti-aging provitamin B5 gel that replenishes, brightens, and improves the appearance of skin texture. Absolutely love this gel. I use this after cleaning my face in the morning as a moisturizer. My skin is super hydrated and very plump. Honestly when you are in a rush, these is really no time to put on toner, serum or moisturizers layer by layer and wait them to be absorbed before another layer. It isn’t too sticky or oily, which is perfect for my skin type as a combination dry. I feel my skin stays hydrated throughout the day, my makeup applies beautifully on top without any issues. If I am not hurry, I would add 1-2 drops of marula oil to add extra nutrient in it. No need to mention how attractive the whole line of Drunk Elephant is. And it is easy to use. Even if you’re in a rush, you should always try to stick to your skincare routine each morning
DRUNK ELEPHANT-B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum
LRP Hydraphase UV Lotion
La Roche Posay was my gateway skincare brand. It is the brand I turned to when I first began my struggle with hormonal acne, and I haven’t looked back since. Since trying a number of things from LRP, there has definitely been one product that stands out to me more than anything else. Enter: Hydraphase UV spf 30 lotion 🤩 Being acne prone, the thought of anything with spf in it used to scare me. So I was on a mission to find a lotion that wasn’t too thick, didn’t have too much of a white cast for being a mineral/chemical combo sunscreen, and wouldn’t break me out. This lotion is an spf/moisturizer hybrid. It is relatively thin, and mixes well on top of serums and under makeup. In the summer, my favourite way to wear this is after all of my serums, mixed with a pump of DRUNK ELEPHANT - D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Drops . Adding any sort of tinted drops helps to minimize any trace of white cast, and left me looking so glowy and hydrated that I didn’t need much makeup afterwards other than some concealer. For all of these reasons, it is a 5/5 rating for me. It is my absolute go-to. This lotion works best for normal to combo skin, and even worked well for my acne-prone skin. It costs $39.95 CAD for a 50ml bottle. It’s main hydrating ingredient is hyaluronic acid, and is a mix of chemical and mineral sunscreens (octinoxate & titanium dioxide). This will always be my summertime go-to for moisture and added sun protection 💛

My daily skin care routine for oily skin
Hey Babes!! 👋🏼 My skin hasn’t looked this good in so long, so I want to share with you my regimen for oily skin 😍😍😍. CLEANSERS: So daily in the morning and evening I either use the Murad - Essential-C Cleanser or the Shira - Pure Eucalyptus Cleanser . I find myself using the Murad 🍊 cleanser during the morning ☀️ more often because the vitamin c has antioxidants and brightens the skin. Plus it smells AMAZING!! The Shira cleanser has eucalyptus 🌱 which is great for oily or acneic skin because it has anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties!! It also smells like you’re stepping into a spa and doesn’t irritate the skin. 😍 The Shira brand is also organic, natural and vegan friendly. 🙌🏼 In the evening 🌝 I will double cleanse with these products too in no specific order. 😂 EXFOLIATOR: SKIN SCRIPT - Raspberry Refining Cleanser I use every 3/4 days when my skin feels dull. MOISTURIZER: I’ve always been a Murad fan 💙💙, so my go to is their Murad - Nutrient-Charged Water Gel !! (Not pictured) I’ve posted about this before and why I like it. It leaves my face baby soft and since it’s water based, my skin isn’t left looking oily. I use this daily in the morning and evening. MORNING DAILY SERUM: I recently discovered a great new brand and love their vitamin c serum. insta natural - Triple Strength Vitamin C Serum !! This serum is very lightweight and contains niacinamide to balance oil production and glycolic acid to exfoliate and remove dead skin leaving a gorgeous glow. 🌟✨ the vitamin c has antioxidants to prevent free radicals which damaged your skin causing wrinkles and fine lines. It also brightens your skin if you have any acne scars or dark spots. 😍🥰 EVENING DAILY SERUM: I’m loving YEOUTH - Retinol, 2.5% Serum ! Aside from retinol, this serum has Aloe Vera and Hyaluronic Acid. The aloe will soother and the Hyaluronic Acid attracts moisture to your skin so it’s not left dry. 💧 💧. Retinol is great because it’s a form of vitamin A that exfoliates. It’s gentle enough for daily use and does not irritate my skin. Because this does have aloe Vera, the serum applies sticky, but dries smooth. I like using this at night because that’s the time your skin will start to heal and regenerate (another reason why it’s important to double cleanse). SUNSCREEN: A must!!! Anytime you exfoliate, you need to wear sunscreen!!I’ve been using MDSolarSciences - Mineral Crème Broad Spectrum SPF 50 UVA-UVB Sunscreen over 2 years now and it’s my go to. This physical sunscreen doesn’t clog pores and doesn’t leave a white cast. It leaves your skin looking matte, which is oily skin people love. 😍😍 I hope this helps you and inspires everyone to start their own regimen!! Please comment with any questions! ❤️❤️ Xoxo, Blyssey #cheriecreator
Empties Part Deux
🍡 Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Oil: Will and have repurchased. This is a lovely lightweight oil that sinks into the skin almost immediately and leaves my skin soft and glowy all day. The texture on this one is just an absolute 10/10. 🍡 Farmacy Honey Grail Ultra Hydrating Face Oil: I can’t say how sad I am that this is empty. I am currently on a no but but I plan to repurchase this one in the future. This is a rich, antioxidant packed facial oil that leaves my skin feeling incredibly soft. It goes on a little sticky (it does contain honey) but sinks in very quickly and leaves my skin feeling unbelievably soft. I love this one especially if my skin is having any irritation, redness, acne, or any kind of freak out. It calms my skin right down and gives me a beautiful glow. 🍡 Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun: A chemical SPF 50 PA ++++ sunscreen containing skin soothing ingredients such as centella asciatica, hyaluronic acid, and tocopherol. This sunscreen is vegan, cruelty free, and free of oxybenzone, parabens, artificial fragrance, PEGs, propylene glycol, and ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate (wow that’s a word). So if you’re sensitive to a lot of sunscreens this might be a good one for you to try. However if you are sensitive to essential oils definitely opt for the unscented one because this one has a very potent lavender scent. That being said I was not irritated at all by the scent and found this to be a lovely, lightweight sunscreen. Would purchase again but I’m a bit of a connoisseur with sunscreens so I rarely repeat them. 🍡 Kate Somerville Kx Active Concentrates Ceramides + Omega Serum: a lovely lightweight barrier replenishing and skin soothing serum. This made my skin very very soft and helped minimize my redness. An amazing serum for winter or for any skin in distress. I do not know if I would repurchase at this time mostly because of the price but I have gone through two bottles and I really love this serum. (Continues in comments) 🍡 CosRx Honey Ceramide Full Moisture Cream: This is an amazing dupe for the Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream. The CosRx is a little more lightweight than the Dr Jart but it had the exact same effects on my skin. This left my skin feeling incredibly soft in the morning and really minimized any irritation or redness I had. 🍡 Tarte Cosmetics Knockout Tingling Treatment: I love this stuff. This is a 10% lactic and salicylic blend and it knocks out any texture, congestion, or dullness without irritating my skin. And this bottle lasted me about a year.
Top Tips for Treating Hyperpigmentation!
I have combination, oily skin that is prone to breakouts, the breakouts lead to hyperpigmentation which is my biggest skin concern. I've been dealing with hyperpigmentation for what seems like forever and have learned some important tips when it comes to it! Tip #1: Use SPF religiously! For anyone dealing with hyperpigmentation this is the most important tip because the sun's UV rays can cause pigmentation to darken. SPF is also essential because many treatments for hyperpigmentation, like acids, can cause the skin to be even more sensitive to the sun. My top SPFs are: elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen SPF 40 SKINCEUTICALS - Physical Fusion Uv Defense SPF 50 Tip #2: Use Vitamin C in your routine! Vitamin C is an antioxidant that lightens dark spots, it also contains an enzyme that helps to prevent melanin production - effectively preventing hyperpigmentation! My Vitamin C products are: SKINCEUTICALS - Phloretin Cf FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry URBAN SKIN Rx - Even Tone Smooth & Glow Enzyme Mask Tip #3: Niacinamide is a powerhouse at fighting pigmentation! Similar to vitamin C, niacinamide fights and prevents hyperpigmentation. It also helps to treat acne which for many of us is the main cause of our hyperpigmentation! My favorite products with niacinamide are: PETER THOMAS ROTH - Pro Strength Niacinamide Discoloration Treatment THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum Tip #4: Add a retinoid to your routine! Retinoids speed up the cell turnover rate, which for pigmentation means it helps to fade dark spots faster. I use a tretinoin, which is a prescription you can get from your dermatologist, but there are other great options like retinol! Here are my favorite retinol products: SKINCEUTICALS - Retinol 0.5 Retinol Night Cream DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel Additional Tips: Acid is your friend, but don't overdo it! Protect your moisture barrier! Healthy skin will heal the fastest! If your breakouts are hormonal, you may need to do some research into your diet! I've cut dairy and eggs because my body doesn't tolerate them and they were leading to hormonal breakouts.

Lovely sunscreen for POCs
dear, klairs - Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ ⭐️🅡🅔🅥🅘🅔🅦⭐️ Dear, Klairs - Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50+ PA++++ 80ml, ($23-$10, Yesstyle, wishtrend, amazon, etc.) ——————— ⇛Beauty (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️): This is an empties review, I used every tiny bit. Before I bought this, I didn’t wear sunscreen regularly even though I used Vitamic C and other dark spot/hyperpigmentation correcting products. The main reason why is that they are usually very greasy, leave a white cast, or cause my skin to break out like crazy. So, imagine my surprise when I tried this as part of my #gothamista #wishtrend set. It is so light and literally disappears into the skin, leaving no white cast as all. It’s a serum consistency, and has no smell or feeling of alcohol. As for efficacy, it’s done a great job protecting my skin. I’ve experienced less hyperpigmentation and uneven tanning all summer. It did great while I was in Japan, and in the over 100 degree August heat. It’s definitely a holy grail status product for me, and I’ll continue to purchase. By the way, this tube lasted me well over 5 months of daily use. ——————— ⇛Business (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, cruelty-free): Dear Klairs is KBeauty line that I discovered at the end of last year. I picked up a many of their products on Wishtrend during their Black Friday sale and have integrated several into my daily routine. So far, I’ve been impressed at the results at the price point, and they have a wide range and products for skin care needs in the teen to 30s range. I haven’t seen too many anti-aging stuff in this line, but the hydrating and spot correcting products have been really good. I absolutely will continue to buy. Don’t pay full price for these products, watch for sales and pick them up at authorized retailers such as Wishtend (lowest price) and Yesstyle. ———————
