BIOLOGIQUE RECHERCHE - Lotion P50 W

French Garbage Water! <3
Trying to find skincare products that you feel confident about purchasing is exhausting. That is only intensified when you feel like you’re breaking the bank when purchasing a product. This was actually less expensive than I expected, though it’s high end (at about $65 for 5.1 oz). BIOLOGIQUE RECHERCHE - Lotion P50 W is a French product that is a huge cult favorite all over the world. Initially I thought it was a lotion/face cream but it actually has the substance of a toner. You use it directly after cleansing your skin (they often recommend double cleansing). I wasn’t sure what this WAS but I figured out it’s an exfoliating acid toner (not to be confused with a regular toner). The label on the bottle lists one of the active ingredients as “poly-alpha-beta-hydroxy acid complex”, so unless I’m mistaken it’s a mix of PHAs, AHAs and BHAs. So do not use this on days/nights you use retinol. I call it “French Garbage Water” after reading an article (I have no idea which one at this point) where one woman wrote about how effective and wonderful this is but that it’s “smelly”. Honestly, I bought this expecting a big hit to the nose but really it’s quite mild. There’s a slight vinegar smell and a tiny maybe sulphuric scent, but I find SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serum hotdog water scent to be more powerful (though I don’t think that is particularly powerful of bothersome either). I am perfectly fine with mild natural, less pleasant scents than I will ever be with a skincare product - particularly the high-end ones - adding fragrance. That is unforgivable in my book. That said, I found French Garbage Water to be quite charming and continue to refer to it as such. This is my first day and night with it and I’m excited! I’ll write a new review once I can evaluate whether I think it’s beneficial or not. I’ll include a link that explains all about this acid toner below: https://btyaly.com/reviews/review-biologique-recherche-lotion-p50w/?amp
You know when you have rough textures and small white bumps mostly on the face, especially around jaw lines. It can be frustrating and can last for weeks even months. Been there! However, there are thankfully some things that can help. Including this Biologique Recherche Lotion! I started Lotion P50W about 6 months ago. Then I replaced it with the stronger version, P50. Now let's talk about the gentler one. The W version is an acid toner that's intended for sensitive skin. It uses a mix of alpha, beta and poly-hydroxy acids such as lactic acid and gluconolactone to gently exfoliate the skin. The product claims to exfoliate, regulate the skin's pH and hydrate the skin in one product. The formulation also contains skin and sebum regulating agents such as cider vinegar and horseradish. From many reviews, I already expected this toner will be hurt and really potent. So I introduced this product slowly into my routine. I started using this once a week at night for about 3 months in place of my toner and never with any other acid-based products. But it was actually worse than I expected. I felt burning sensation and my skin turned red for the first few weeks using this. The tingly sensation lasted for few minutes. Quick tips: Start using this product with a damp cotton until your skin built up its tolerance. It will makes the whole experience much better! A couple drops are all that's need. No swiping or rubbing, just press and release the product into skin moving up from the neck towards ear then forehead. Focused on the areas where there are more pores form. And wait until the formulation dried before applying any other products. It's nice to layer with because it didn't leave any residue on the skin. I saw the result on my skin after about two months when my skin already used to it. Right now I feel no burn, no tingle, no redness; it becomes comfortable to use. I feel my breakout are less frequent especially after I used it three times a week. My pores are still there, always visible but they clog up much less than before. As my texture areas are much less apparent, I also notice more radiance on my skin.
Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight cream ⭐️ This cream promises to help get rid of texture, brighten skin tone and clarify skin by promoting cell turnover. ⭐️ It contains 10% Glycolic Free Acid Value, 2% Phytic Acid as well as carefully chosen botanicals to soothe skin. ⭐️ It has been formulated to have a pH of 3.5. pH is very important when it comes to how well acids perform. The higher the pH, the lower the performance of the acid. This is where the term “free acid” comes in. This cream actually contains 14.6% glycolic acid but it delivers a true performance of 10% aka free acid. ⭐️ I used this for the last two nights. It’s a lovely light consistency that absorbs really easily. I had a slight acid tingle when applying but nothing unpleasant.
After years of testing beauty and skincare products, Luna Sleeping Night Oil by sundayriley is one of a handful of products that has stood the test of time. Luna was the first Sunday Riley product that I purchased and the main reason behind my obsessive love for the brand. (My dog’s name is Luna ya’ll!) 😂 ✨ The magical blend of oils & retinol works wonders! A few drops at night before bed hydrates, smooths, reduces fine lines, brightens and improves texture. ✨ Luna gives you the benefits of retinol, without the dry skin & redness often associated with using it. I saw visible results after one use, but the effects of this oil over time are amazing. ✨ For acne prone skin, Luna is a miracle worker. As someone who has struggled with acne on and off for years, I’ve tried everything. I’ve yet to find a non-prescription product that works this hard against acne. It also fades acne scars & minimizes the appearance of pores. ✨ I really can’t say enough good things about Luna & really just wanted to reiterate my love for this product, as it’s been awhile since I’ve obsessed over it. I always get so excited about new products, while my tried & true, holy grail skincare bits don’t get the attention that they deserve here. I really just wanted to shout out one of my long-time loves, Luna.
SUNDAY RILEY-Luna Sleeping Night Oil
High Hopes ✨
I was so excited for this product when I finally got my hands on it. I had been loving everything Sunday Riley was producing, and I was excited to see a glow. Unfortunately, me and this lil guy did not get along. I have a theory that Vitamin C serums don’t work well with my skin, and I think that’s true to some extent. This product, however, made me break out so bad after around the two month mark. I don’t know why exactly but it gave me not just breakouts but CYSTIC breakouts. I don’t usually get cystic breakouts. As much as I wanted to love this one, between the breakouts and the price I would recommend you try a different brightening product. I love Caudalie’s Vinoperfect in its place!

Blunt Skincare Seed Hydrating Face Oil
Hey gals Cannabis Sativa/CBD oils New girl on my block !!! I’m so happy I got to snatch this @blunt.skincare product on the @supergreatapp. This is the Blunt Seed Hydrating Face Oil, the 3 main ingredients are Cannabis Sativa, Sacha Inchi & Blackberry. ***This face oil doesn’t not contain CBD/THC but the other two oils in their oil line do. • I apply 3 drops on my hand, warm it up and tap it on my face. At the moment my skin is feeling super dehydrated so I add another drop or two if I still feel like I need a bit more. I also mix this with a night cream for more moisture. • • Two weeks ago my skin was at its worst, irritated,& breaking out. With time I started to pay attention to my skin so when my skin is acting up I know is super dehydrated and is screaming for moisture. Even though I have combo I skin I’m more on the dehydrated side.SoI started doing sheet masks 3x a week after doing a clay mask to remove all the dirt and pollution in my skin. I’d applied my serums and then this Seed hydrating oil, either solo or mixed with a ceramide cream. My skin has being doing so much better, brighter,no breakouts and very hydrated. Seriously obsessed with this Blunt Oil. BLUNT - SEED Hydrating Face Oil

Rose is generally in either water, oil, essence or cream and is known to provide hydration to the max, soothes the skin and is anti-inflammatory (hello pimples). I have been obsessed with rose and it’s delicate scent for as long as I can remember and adding it into my skincare is such a must! This beautiful oil doesn’t have a rose scent, but has all those beautiful properties with the bonus of vitamin c and squalane. Vitamin c is a powerful antioxidant that lightens, tightens and brightens the skin. Squalane is a natural derivative of the body’s squalene that is produced to hydrate and plump and soothe the skin. So it’s an added bonus oil to what your skin decreases producing over time. So this beautiful baby oil is the trifecta of skin goodness! She leaves me with an unmatched glow, the softest skin, and a lovely suppleness. I cannot get enough of her in my morning routine! BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil

Amorepacific gifted me their Botanical Radiance Oil to review so here it goes! AMOREPACIFIC - Botanical Radiance Oil ——— Claims to give radiance and glow and help restore moisture barrier - Radiance and glow: Yes / Moisture Barrier: To a certain extent Texture - Thin oil Scent - Floral Parabens - No ——— I’ve always wanted to try the k-beauty brand AMOREPACIFIC. I’ve seen so many Korea hauls including this brand and finally I got to try them! this oil guys! This is a light-weight textured oil that delivers radiance and has antioxidant properties. My favorite thing about this oil is the texture and how glowy it makes you. The light-weight oil absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves a silky finish. Once absorbed it makes you radiant and glowy! For me this is an oil that fits me more during the winter time since I have combination skin, for the summer I would look too oily and greasy. But for colder months like now this is a perfect boost for glow. I use 1 or 2 drops on the palm of my hands and focus on rubbing it in the most on my cheeks. The leftover oil I rub into my hands and nails, they need the nourishment too! I like the scent of this but not necessarily that it contains fragrance. It also contains alcohol which is where it lost points too. I understand it more in an oil but it’s something I wanted to make clear. This also contains rapeseed oil which is what we use most traditionally for cooking here but I have yet to noticed any pores clogging. However, it’s a great oil to seal in moisture too. I like getting my antioxidants else where and not just rely on green tea and rapeseed oil, which this contains, but rely more on my vitamin Cs etc but I believe it’s a nice way of boosting a radiance oil. Nonetheless, I use this one only for that boost of glow and not much more! It just has the lovely finish. For being exactly what it is, a radiance oil, it gets 4/5! The price tag is quite steep however but if you can afford it I would totally recommend it! Also I need to add that the dropper of this is great! Instead of a squeezy thing there’s a button on top which I love!
