Hey everyone! 👋 I wanna talk to you all about glossier products. Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser
Glossier Lip Balms
I love this product and use it morning and night. It feels great on your lips and makes them look moisturized. I used to always have chapped lips but now I don’t. Even though it is a little on the pricier side, i got one on Christmas and I and still using it so it lasts a while. I used to get lip acne, but now I don’t thanks to this product not having harmful ingredients. I definitely recommend. Glossier. - All Balms Set

I love experimenting with different cleansers, so here’s some recent faves! TULA SKINCARE - The Cult Classic Purifying Face Cleanser will always continue to be a go-to! This super refreshing gel-based cleanser removes dirt, impurities & makeup without stripping or over-drying. Probiotics, prebiotics & lactic acid gently exfoliate skin, leaving it purified, clarified & balanced. It feels and smells CLEAN more than any cleanser I’ve ever tried, and my skin always feels amazing after using. bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Gel Cleanser this is a new one for me, but I can already tell I’m going to be a huge fan. This is a gentle, purifying cleanser with BHA (salicylic acid!!) and Brazilian sea water. This foaming cleanser keeps pores clear and skin balanced - without over-drying - for a clear, calm complexion every day. I’ve been struggling with maskne lately, and I truly feel like this is making a difference. SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip Cleanser this is supposed to be a foaming gel cleanser made with plant based soaps to pull out impurities, clean, and balance skin. I didn’t love the consistency or the scent. I also didn’t feel like it foamed at all. Just meh. Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Cleanser Daily Foaming Wash this is a clinic-inspired foaming cleanser with AHAs and fruit enzymes to gently cleanse away oil, makeup, and surface impurities revealing smoother skin. More than any others, it has a nice tingly feeling and a great scent! Probably won’t be rushing to buy again, but also did enjoy it! Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser this is a creamy gel cleanser that is okay, but not amazing. It’s super gentle, pH balanced, and didn’t leave me with any complaints, but also nothing to rave about. JUICE BEAUTY - Green Apple Brightening Gel Cleanser I like this stuff for a gentle morning cleanse! The main benefits are it’s brightening effects! It has a great apple smell and a surprisingly runny consistency. EARTH HARBOR - Sunshine Dew Antioxidant Cleansing Oil this has become my go-to first cleanse or gentle morning cleanse! It feels like rubbing a bit of sunshine on my face and has a great lemon scent! Highly recommend if you are okay with scented products!
Updated Skincare Routine— Hydrated Glow!
Hi all! I’ve been super busy moving houses and so I haven’t been able to try very many new products lately, instead I’ve been sticking to my tried and true products and routine for the last few weeks. And honestly? My skin couldn’t be happier. It’s been smooth and hydrated with minimized breakouts, and no eczema patches. These are my top tips/products for hydrated and glowing complexion regardless of skin tone! ✨Dry Skin? Morning cleansing isn’t always necessary! I’ve been skipping my morning cleanse due to the dry weather where I’m living and my tightness and redness has been drastically reduced, along with my eczema! Instead I just wipe excess oil off with a cotton round and apply SPF as usual. Use a non stripping cleanser when you do wash, to avoid that tight feeling. Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser my absolute favorite, with hydrators in the formula it’s never stripping and I love it doesnt foam CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser best drug store face wash by far! It’s always sold out, and a go-to for many with dry skin! FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser is my winter go to when my face is chapped ✨Don’t dry skin after cleansing. Wait until it’s damp and then apply your toner/serums. This will help lock extra moisture in along with increasing permeability of your products so they work more efficiently ✨Use an occclusive at night! This will lock in all of your products and keep the moisture from seeping out of your skin and into your pillow. YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask has added antioxidants to wake up with an even and glowing complexion (and it’s my favorite scent ever) CeraVe - Healing Ointment is coupled with ceramides to heal and strengthen skin and is perfect for those with dermatitis/raw red skin Leven Rose - Jojoba Oil oils can also act as occlusives if you add an extra drop at night, and are a pure and natural way to introduce hydration and various vitamins and antioxidants Glossier. - Moisturizing Moon Mask i also love repurposing hydrating masks as sleeping masks! This one from glossier is divine and stays on all night. ✨Cotton pillow cases are some of the most drying materials because they’re really absorbant (think about coton rounds!). Something like silk is less rough on skin, not only because of the softer fibers and higher thread count, but it absorbs less moisture than cotton, so your skin stays more hydrated. For those who suffer from dry skin or who live in dry climates, that bit of extra overnight hydration can mean waking up with a less tight, dry face (and less wrinkles!) slip - Pillowcase White King Zippered King (51 x 91cm/ 20" x 36") / Invisible Zipper these pillow cases from slip are tried and true, everyone in the beauty community swears by them as do I.
So You’re New to Skincare and Need a Routine
I will recommend products, brands, and explain a few things so you can create your own skincare routine! Skincare Brands: Here are a few trusted brands I recommend. Remember something that works for one person might not work for you. - CeraVe- you can get CeraVe from your local pharmacy or just from amazon. they aren’t expensive but still have great ingredients that are good for sensitive skin - Drunk Elephant- a more expensive brand but worth it. they are vegan, cruelty-free, and great for sensitive skin - Youth to the People- once again a more expensive brand but amazing products. they are vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and great for sensitive skin - Krave- medium priced and sell super great serums. vegan, cruelty-free, and for sensitive skin - The Ordinary- sell cheap products with great ingredients! this brand is mostly for serums and acids. also cruelty-free - Paula’s Choice- medium priced products. most are serums, acids, and toners. also cruelty-free SPF: Sunscreen is a must! No matter your skin type or what products you use. It protects your skin from UV rays and lessens your chance of skin cancer. Some moisturizers have sunscreen in it already while others don’t. If they don’t, then you need to buy separate face sunscreen. Sunscreens can be physical or chemical. Here are the pros and cons: Chemical: - Absorbed Into skin - Thin and ideal for everyday use - Skincare ingredients added easily on top - Wait 15 minutes to be effective - Reapply every 2 hours or so Physical: - Sits on top of skin - Works immediately - Apply once - Thicker and heavier - Not waterproof Basic Skincare Parts: All skincare routines must have a cleanser, moisturizer, and some sort of sunscreen no matter your skin type or concerns. Use a cleanser 1-2 times a day and a moisturizer after. Here are my recommendations for cleansers and moisturizers. Cleansers/Face Wash: -CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanserthis is best for normal, dry, and combo skin. it leaves the face feeling soft and hydrated. -CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skinthis is best for normal, oily, and combo skin. it’s gentle, effective, and removes oil without damaging the skin barriers. - CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skinthis is for people who have acne! SA stands for salicylic acid. the acid goes into your pores and dissolves any dead skin cells clogging it. - YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanserthis can be used for all skin types and is particularly good for acne. even if you don’t have acne I still recommend this product. it gives a deep cleanse to make sure your pores are completely clean. - fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Washgreat for all skin types. it removes all makeup, including mascara, as well as impurities, leaving your skin clean. Moisturizers: -DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Creama gel-like texture that absorbs into skin quickly. leaves it soft, hydrated, protected, and gives it a slight glow. great for sensitive skin! -FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydrationamazing for super dry skin and eczema. absorbs quickly into skin and leaves it soft. -CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30generally lightweight but still moisturizes well! good for acne and skin texture because it has niacinamide in it. still everyone can use it. has sunscreen already in it for the day. -CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotionsame product above except slightly thicker and without spf for night. - YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishiamazing for sensitive, dry or combo skin. boosts skin’s hydration and won’t clog your pores. -Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face Cream great hydrating moisturizer that is also a primer for makeup. for people with normal or dry skin. not for sensitive skin because it has fragrance in it. Acids/Serums: Acids and serums are for specific skin concerns such as acne, redness, blackheads, dullness, etc. Here are ones I recommend to everyone even if you are new to skincare! Use these after cleanser but before moisturizer. (Patch test before use.) Look on websites for instructions and make sure ingredients don’t conflict if you use multiple acids. - The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%for people with acne, large pores, blackheads, and skin texture. honestly everyone can use this in their routine! -Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum does the same thing as above - PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Boosterdoes the same thing as above - The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5hydrates the skin and makes it bouncy. gives it a glow. no matter your skin type or concerns you should use this! apply on damp skin - Krave - Great Barrier Reliefgreat for redness and irritation. will soothe the skin.
Glossier Product Review
Glossier. - Balm Dotcom This is a great lip salve. It moisturizes my lips when they are dry and is perfect for on the go. There is a lot of product in the tube. I got it in Cherry and Birthday. Cherry had the perfect red tint where it is visible but is clearly not lipstick or anything close. It is great for everyday. Birthday had a very nice shimmer to it. It is like a gloss but without the stickiness and is also nourishing. The packaging is, of course, so aesthetic just like with everything Glossier. The only issue is that it comes off generally easy and is slightly over priced. Obviously, you are also paying for the pretty packaging and the good ingredients. I might buy again because Cherry is the perfect tint for me when I go to school. Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer I love this moisturizer. It is marketed as it is: a lightweight, glowy primer. It soaks into my skin fast and is super lightweight, but at the same time it keeps my skin hydrated all day. If you are looking for a rich moisturizer for super dry skin don’t buy this. My skin was left looking soft and had a nice glow to it. I used all of the product in about 6 months. Worth the price. Glossier. - Lash Slick Mascara I loved this mascara. It looked natural and made my lashes long. It was perfect for school. The packing says it will “expire” in 6 months at the bottom and it did exactly that, so I can’t really be angry. But still it is annoying because now it barely does anything and there is still product left inside. I would still recommend buying if you are into a natural look and I will definitely buy again. Just know its lifespan is 6 months. Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color My favorite product in the world. I seriously can not stress how amazing this is. I got it in storm (shown in the second pic) which was perfect on my brown (I’m Indian for reference) skin. A little goes a long way!!!! U need so little and it shows up. I was so happy it actually showed up on my skin and it really complimented it. It is easy to apply and blends very nicely. It dries fast. If you are looking for a blush definitely buy this. It is worth the price and it has been almost a year and I haven’t run out. Glossier. - Boy Brow This is to get fluffy, bushy eyebrows and still look natural. But, you can still use it as a normal gel that fills in your eyebrows. I bought it in black so my eyebrows look fuller. As far as the gel part it holds it pretty nicely without it being stiff. It is not the strongest hold in the world though, but I am fine with that because I don’t want my eyebrows to be that stiff. If you want a clear eyebrow gel that is very strong I recommend ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel . If you use the boy brow wrong your eyebrows are going to look like catapillars. Use it right and it darkens and fills your eyes brows nicely.
Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser I finally tried their cleanser and I’m not sure how I feel about it 🤔 It doesn’t foam, hence the name, it feels like massaging your skin with really thin lotion, which is not a bad thing but I think it would be better if it foamed a little bit. But my skin feels soft and clean after using it. Just not my cup of tea I guess. I’m trying to implement cleaner products into my AM/ PM routine and this product doesn’t WOW me. I was expecting so much especially how aesthetically pleasing their branding is. *My advice: buy travel sized versions of products that you want to try out. I would have wasted my money if I bought full size.
Glossier.-Milky Jelly Cleanser
FacialWorks 💙 Sea Milk Gel Cleanser - My skin is extra smooth and soft every after cleanse - just how I like my cleansers! It has Red tea and Sea whip which claims to soothe skin and restore hydration. It’s super gentle and my normal-oily skin approves! . 💙 Sea Mist Calming Cucumber - This balances the ph level of the skin and hydrates it as well. It’s cooling and I love spritzing this in the morning or mid day since it’s super refreshing and since mists help in waking me up when I wanna take a nap in the afternoon haha so this helps a lot! I also set my makeup with this mist sometimes for a dewy finish. For its soothing properties, I can’t say much since my skin is normal-oily. Both smell like fresh cucumber and it’s just delightful! They have CleanSea Complex®, a facial works compound that provides antioxidants, boosts cellular metabolism, and claims to defend oxidative stress from blue light and UV and this is perfect for me since I’m on my screens 24/7. Another great thing about them is that their glass bottles are refillable!! 🥰 I hope I get to try more from them!
Leaders makes some of my favorite sheet masks -- their Daily Wonders line is my favorite (even more than the gel masks). Today they launch two new products in the Daily Wonders line - Oil Cleanser and a moisturizing mist. I'm excited that leader is bringing out more skincare products (other than masks) as my experience with them so far has been good. The oil cleanser is a thicker oil, similar in texture to the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, which I enjoy because I feel like it's more protective of my skin if I'm massaging it around my face. It also contains argan oil and tea tree oil, which my skin loves, so I'm totally on board. The mist so far seems to be a pleasantly hydrating mist, which I'm sure I'll be using lots of as it gets warmer. It has hydrating floral extracts as well as witch hazel to tone and soothe the skin. I like to use this mist as a toner instead of over my skincare so I can seal in the moisture.
Traveler's Haul Pt. 5 S I O R I S — This next brand is one that surprised me every moment. When I reached out to them I wasn't expecting a response let alone such a warm and kind welcome. I got so more in return for this unassuming up and coming brand. Meet Sioris. 👩🏽🌾Cleanse Me Softly milk cleanser - yup that's right milk 🥛. It gently removes makeup while providing a source of nutritues back to the skin. Its so good it can be use as your only cleanser in a routine. It has a slight scent I adore. . 👩🏽🌾You Look So Young night cream - I've played with a lot of night cream but I've never been as excited as I am with trying this one. Created with only in season ingredients including 64% prunus mume fruit water this night is said to repair and hydrate, oh yeah! . 👩🏽🌾Full Sioris Collection (Travel Size) - I couldn't resist trying this brand so the cute travel set with me to Japan. All of them together help me maintan my glow while reducing the number of bottles I had to pack. ➕ its totally TSA friendly. The Time Is Running Out mist was a hit. They all came in this lush carry pouch. . 👩🏽🌾What had my jaw on the floor during my meeting with the Sioris team way how surprise they were of their success so off. They has no intent to break into the Western and had not developed any plans. Their only goal at this time to break into the Korean marketing stronger. Sometime flying under the radar plays off big time
