Get bored with VC? Try this antioxidant!👏👏
"A glass of red wine a day is good for you", which is what people are always saying to us. But do you know why? That's thanks to an antioxidant in grape skin called resveratrol. As an anti-aging ingredient, resveratrol is used in a variety of skincare products. This post I will show what I conclude from some authoritative researches about resveratrol.
What Is Resveratrol?Resveratrol is a natural antioxidant that can be found in grape skin, peanuts, berries, and even dark chocolate. It works like lots of antioxidants found in our skincare products, such as VC, VA, VE, Niacinamide and so on. In skincare, however, it works on a cellular level to fight aging. Nowadays much of the human research has used supplements that contain high levels of resveratrol.
The benefits of using resveratrol in skincareAccording to Dr. Lesley Rabach, a plastic surgeon and skincare expert at New York's LM Medical NYC, adds that resveratrol as an antioxidant "protects a cell's DNA from damage that is caused by free radicals" and "neutralizes these free radicals thereby reducing and slowing the signs of aging and cell damage responsible for skin cancers." Dr. Rabach says that resveratrol reportedly stimulates healthy cell proliferation. It's basically a gold mine of anti-aging effects, including protecting the skin from harmful enzymes and improving function of fibroblasts responsible for creating healthy collagen.
Who should use skincare products with resveratrol? It is hard to say who should use skincare products with resveratrol. If you want to reduce lentigines, help combat visible signs of aging, calm skin inflammations or increase moisture retention to help revitalize dull-looking skin, you can try it. But be sure you are not allergic to it, Remember do not take resveratrol supplements or excessive amounts of natural foods containing resveratrol while pregnant or breast-feeding. Although Resveratrol has gained a lot of attention for its reported anti-aging and disease-fighting powers, and it’s important to note that while experts agree that it does have potential, there’s still not enough data to confirm its effectiveness. As I experienced, it helped with my redness, uneven, bumpy texture, and dullness. It's hard to pinpoint, exactly, that resveratrol is solely responsible for these effects but it's only a beneficial ingredient to add to your skincare routine for its longterm, anti-aging results. BEST AHA/BHA night glow serum!
Product: This is a 3-in-1 night serum that resurfaces, hydrates, refines, and clarifies dull skin for a natural glow. The formula contains 14% AHA/BHA flower acids that blend together to reveal a youthful complexion. The blend of AHA from gentle acids exfoliates dead skin cells, promotes cell renewal, targets hyperpigmentation, and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The BHA from willow bark, a natural source of salicylic acid, helps minimize the appearance of pores. How to use: I apply 2 pumps onto my fingertips before bed and apply it to my face. I avoid my eye and mouth area because this is a strong product. It dries within 3-5 minutes and additional face oil can be used if you need extra moisture. (I have extremely dry skin and don’t feel the need to apply facial oil over this serum). I apply it 2-3 times a week, but it may be build up to more frequent uses. My thoughts: I was skeptical to try this serum because I have extremely dry and sensitive skin but I was blown away by this serum! My skin usually acts negatively to most products but I had no issues with this serum. I actually noticed instant results from only my first use. My skin glowed so bright, it could blind someone. I was also shocked by how smooth it made my skin feel, I couldn’t believe it. I did feel a slight tingling sensation (in the directions it says it may tingle) but my skin didn’t get red or irritated like it does with other strong products. I highly recommend this for all skin types!
FARMACY-Honeymoon Glow Serum
I am so excited to share this gorgeous texture with you today. @byroe reached out for me to be a product tester on the panel for their tomato serum. First impression: I was so excited when I opened the box to find this beautiful, amber liquid. The packaging is stunning and it has a very unique dropper. It is super gentle-no stinging or redness at all. I can’t wait to see what this does for my skin. #byroetester BYROE - Tomato Serum
Get glowing skin with this essence
My skin is dry/acne prone and a bit sensitive. This essence is supposed to moisturize, brighten, and protect the skin with antioxidants. It’s very lightweight pink water that absorbs instantly into the skin. This goes right after cleansing and before any serums. I used this every day for a few weeks and my skin was glowy all day every day. Like glow from within kind of glow. Also really helped with my hormonal acne. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who has acne or wants a glow. #cheriecreator Then I met you - The Giving Essence

Valjean Lab Revive✨
VALJEAN LABS - Revive Day Serum This Revive Day Serum from Valjean Lab is such an affordable brand I was not sure how effective it is when I got it. I have combination acne prone skin. I needed something to help with hyperpigmentation. It contains vitamin c & peptides. Vitamin c helps brighten and even out skin tone. Peptide helps to achieve smoother skin. It has light watery texture and it soothes into skin really fast. I used it for good amount of time and I didn’t see any noticeable difference on my skin tone. It did sooth my face and helped with additional layer of hydration during the day. I did like how Serum absorbs into skin but if you are looking for brightening the dark spots, I would not recommend it.

Some by mi aha bha phi miracle cream for redness
The some by mi aha bha pha miracle cream is a moisturizer for all skin types that contains aha bha pha and centella. It targets full and red skin, and helps to exfoliate. It has a lightweight creamy texture that is nice to apply. Overall, I think this is a really solid cream. I like it and decided to try it after it was sent to me. The centella helps to calm skin and get rid of redness, while the aha bha and pha exfoliate. I would recommend this to anyone with red or dull skin because it is very effective and lightweight. My only issue is that is sometimes leaves a slight residue on the skin. This product was worth the price and was quick to apply. SOME BY MI - AHA-BHA-PHA 30 Days Miracle Serum (this product is not listed, so I tagged the serum that is from the same aha bha pha range by some by mi)

Aesop - Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Serum Ever since I started using skincare religiously, I have always been so curious about a brand named Aesop. It’s not so highly raved but one of my favorite Indonesian skincare gurus, one of my friends loves the products so I was keen to try it. Since it’s an Australian brand and it was quite pricey to buy in the UK I asked my boyfriend to pick some of its products for me. I began my research and they do have some great products. Here’s the Aesop Parsley Seed Antioxidant Serum review. Ingredients There are two ingredients that you should watch out for as based on CosDNA analysis they are comedogenic (the underlined ones). But since these ingredients are not the main ingredients, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Meanwhile, the main ingredients, the parsley seed oil is a great anti-oxidant. In addition, it also provides antibacterial and antifungal protection. Which makes it suitable for those with acne-prone skin to use daily. What it claims to do This product claims to provide moisture for dry, combination, and sensitive skin type. It also claims to be the alternative of cream moisturizer or oil-based hydrator. In other words, you can use it as a moisturizer and be done with your routine. As the name imply, this product also an antioxidant that can protect us from free radicals and to avoid skin cell damage. Basically, to help you to slow down the aging process. How I use it This product is actually my first antioxidant skincare product. I initially didn’t want to start using antioxidant until I reach 24 but after reading a lot of articles, I found that antioxidant offers a lot more benefit than just for anti-aging. Despite its claim to be the alternative of cream moisturizer, I use is as its name imply, as a serum. I use it at night after I cleanse my face, exfoliate, toner, and essence. Usually, I use 3-5 pumps of the product and it’s sufficient to use all over my face, neck, and decolletage. I apply it by rubbing it gently on my palms first and then lightly dab it all over my face. What it did to my skin One thing that threw me off at first was how thick it’s consistency compared to other serums I had used before. It’s almost like a gel and if I rub it too hard it turn into an almost foamy consistency. Do you know what I’m saying? It’s also quite sticky. But after awhile, I get accustomed to it and began to fully love the product. Since it also works pretty well with the moisturizer I use on top of it. Despite the thick consistency, it gets absorbed well and rather fast into my skin. After several months of using, I can feel that my skin gets healthier and more supple. I also get a boost of hydration every time I use this. It doesn’t make my face greasy and I love a matte-looking face. I also notice that this product does help with the acne problem. Every time I get hormonal acne and I apply this serum at night, I can see that the redness reduced in the morning. And for that, I love this serum. I can’t say much in the anti-aging department since I have yet to show any sign of aging (knock on woods) but let’s see if it helps to slow down the process in the future. Concluding remarks I love this serum! It’s safe to say that this is my holy grail serum at the moment because not only it contains antioxidant but it also helps me with acne problems. I haven’t mentioned this above, but I also adore its packaging. It’s minimalist yet so elegant with an apothecary vibes on it. Despite the bank-breaking price, I’d love to purchase this product because it holds a place in my permanent skincare arsenal. Each bottle contains 100ml of the products anyway, so to think of it, it’s not that expensive. I’ve been using it for 6 months and the bottle is still 1/4 full. Any recommendations for face serums TIA😘😘😘
