Acne Skin Routine 🧴

Hi everyone! This is my first post & don’t have a lot of followers so if you see this please help if you can or share so that more people can see it! I am a teacher so I have to wear a mask all day everyday and I am getting fungal acne on my forehead from it. It has never been an issue for me before wearing a mask continuously for so long and I’m looking for some products that will either help it or at least won’t make it worse. I know there are some ingredients I need to watch out for but I would love some product recommendations if you have any! I started using the Nizoral shampoo and I am seeing some improvement from that. I have also been loving the Versed Just Breathe serum for other ‘maskne’ issues! Thank you for any suggestions or advice!

Remember that you should not be using these products more that 3 times a week besides the spot treatments. Cleansers artnaturals - Cleansing Face Wash Great for oily/acne-prone skin. ACURE - Resurfacing Glycolic & Unicorn Root Clenser Great cleanser for mild exfoliation. PanOxyl - Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Maximum Strength I would only recommend this if you are sensitive to salicylic acid. Otherwise, use the other cleansers I recommend. Toners COSRX - AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner Gentle toner for acne with glycolic acid and willow bark. Serums/treatments The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA Really gentle + great for clogged pores and hair follicles DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel Strong acne retinoid. CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin Here is my favorite new cerave product. I have been using for a week now and it does remove dirt and oil from the face while leaving the face soft and smooth. well i have tried both cleansers and in my opinion 🤷 CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin this one is not for me i have combinations and sensitive skin when i used this cleanser it over dried my face right after wash! Aveeno - Calm + Restore Nourishing Oat Facial Cleanser this one is my new Fav its so calming to the skin never leaves face dehydrated!! its like moisturizer infused cleaser i should say, So if you have combination and sentive skin i Highly recommend Aveeno cleaner!!💕 Let's stay Hydrated 😚🥰

I never thought I would be comfortable going to class without makeup, but I’m so glad I don’t feel the need to wake up early and put it on anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I still very much love makeup but it’s a chore getting it off properly! I felt the need to share that it is officially my first day of class in my very last semester of college!! 🎉🎉 (I say like I’m not planning on going back because I hate my degree) We’re gonna be rolling into Marketing Strategy with second day hair, brow gel, and some mascara and that’s it! Sadly, I actually have to attend an in-person lecture, but it’s the only one. I also thought that I might as well share the new routine AM: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Lipikar Wash Ap+ Gentle Foaming Moisturizing Wash I gave this 4 stars because while it says fragrance free it has a strong citrus scent and burns the eyes, but it is definitely moisturizing and doesn’t strip the skin peach slices - Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner I accidentally got this too close to my under eye and it dried it out GOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum pretty nice, pretty standard VANICREAM - Lite Lotion DERMA•E - Scar Cream Sun Protectant SPF 35 PM: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Lipikar Wash Ap+ Gentle Foaming Moisturizing Wash *a little pea size amount of tretinoin* GOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum VANICREAM - Lite Lotion CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream I apply both moisturizers at night because my skin tends to dry out over night due to me keeping a fan going at all times My skin is a getter drier as the days go by, as expected, because my Accutane dosage has been bumped up and just due to the colder temperatures

2020 was quite the year. From Covid to wildfires, there were many difficulties. But, a good thing to come from the past year was growth in the skincare community! Being at home gave us lots of time to focus on ourselves and discover things that interest us. I have always loved skincare but quarantine gave me the opportunity to focus on my skin in a way I would have never been able to do otherwise. These are my favorite skincare products that I discovered this year! 1️⃣peach slices - Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner I purchased this product in early December. I usually like to use a product for a while before I decide how I feel about it and definitely before I recommend it, but this product is special. I’ve been using it for a short amount of time but I absolutely love it! I have dry, acne prone skin and this is ideal for my specific needs. It is super hydrating but it also helps treat and prevent acne. 2️⃣FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser This is a very basic cleanser but that is why I love it! It is very gentle and does exactly what it is supposed to do. I use this alone on days when I’m not wearing makeup or as a second step in a double cleansing routine. This is great for any skin type but if you have dry or sensitive this is especially good for you. 3️⃣BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream I purchased a trial size of this product because there is no way I could justify spending more than $50 on a product that is less than an ounce. Because of the price I don’t think I will be repurchasing this, but that being said, I love this product! I struggle with sensitive under eyes that flake and peel when irritated. This eye cream hydrates the sensitive skin around my eyes without making them sting! If you are able to purchase this product I really do recommend it. 4️⃣The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution As with pretty much everyone else, I found this product through TikTok. I’m a little late to the game though. I only recently started using this product but I can see a difference in my skin. I have milia on my forehead that makes my skin look textured and this helps! After using this product my skin feels soooo smooth. This product is very easy to misuse so make sure you are using it correctly and err on the side of caution. 5️⃣GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm This is the first cleansing balm I have ever used that I love. It feels so smooth on the face and easily removes all my makeup. I recommend it for anyone who is looking to double cleanse. Glow Recipe claims it can be used alone but I advise against that as it is hard to completely remove if you don’t follow it with a water based cleanser. wanted to share my quick thoughts on some new products i have recently tried/incorporated into my routine! ⭐️ @theouai rose hair & body oil: we love a multi-functional product!!! this smells so fresh and is perfect for the ends of my hair for an extra boost of hydration. also makes me skin so soft! ⭐️ @boscia cleansing oil*: such a clean scent! i use about 2-3 pumps of this at night & easily removes all my makeup & spf. it’s hydrating and doesn’t leave any type of film behind! ⭐️ @soleilsolace shimmering rose infused body oil*: this is a dream! it gives the perfect amount of hydration & shimmer!!! it blends effortlessly & leaves me so glowy. ⁉️ @cocokind tumeric tonic: i really enjoy tumeric in products, but still am unsure about this one. i have used this in my AM & PM routine, but didn’t really see any noticeable difference on breakouts. it is also a rollerball, which I am not a huge fan of. i am going to continue to test it out! ⭐️ @byroe_official better green essence toner*: really enjoy the idea of an essence + toner! i never really used an essence in my routine because I didn’t think it was necessary, but this is so hydrating! i use it my PM routine after cleansing and I find that it really preps my skin for my serums & moisturizer! ⁉️ @habitskin spf 41 mister*: absolutely LOVE the idea of a spf mister... it’s genius tbh. it sprays on pretty evenly and light, however it does makes me look a bit oily. I think it’s perfect for pool days & days where I am wearing minimal makeup, but not sure that I would use daily. ⭐️ @cocokind texture smoothing cream: light weight moisturizers are my go-to for combo skin & this is perfect! i mostly use this in my PM routine as a last step & it really does a nice job of locking everything in. ⭐️ @farmacybeauty daily greens moisturizer*: this is another great lightweight gel moisturizer! while i enjoy using it in my AM routine, I think I still like honey drop more. I like using this on no makeup days. it keeps me looking matte and fresh!

One of my favorite brands is Cocokind, and that’s because their products really work for my skin AND because they’re so sustainable! A while ago, I decided to switch over to more sustainable skincare brands, especially since I try so much, and Cocokind was a brand I discovered from my research. Their packaging is all either glass or recycled sugarcane materials, which is absolutely amazing! These products always make me so happy to use because i know I’m not contributing negatively to the environment with my love of skincare. Additionally, I really like these products because they come in little to no packaging (the paper is always recycled if used) and you don’t need to use cotton pads or single use items alongside these. Definitely recommend checking them out! I’ll update soon with my actual thoughts on these products but for now, I’m really impressed with the brand for its sustainability efforts.
