PIMPLES-GOOD RIDDANCE! (part 1)
A pimple is a part of everyone’s path and in the time I’ve lived, I encountered many a pimple and each time I obsess over it trying to find the most perfect spot treatment. I think just about anyone can relate. Below is my experience and thoughts on some of the things I’ve tried. A remedy for every pimple type! Kate Somerville - EradiKate Acne Treatment For night time application only. Very drying and funky (contains alcohol, an irritant to skin but works so well I can’t resist.) Most effective on a surfacing pimple (not the screaming kind). Pimple cleared within 1-2 days. Not for cystic acne. HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Invisible+ for Madewell $0.46 per sticker. Surprisingly super sticky and long lasting. As “invisible” as it gets, it blurs acne from afar. You can wear it under make up. Matte enough to wear out in public. Specific for pimples that look prime and ready to pop (note to self: resist the urge to squeeze). YES SISTERS!! This is it! It sucks everything up which gives me a close satisfying feeling to watching Dr. Pimple Popper pop that goody goody for good. alba BOTANICA - Acne Pimple Patch $0.19 per sticker. A cheaper alternative to the Mighty Patch. Contains ingredients like tea tree oil and witch hazel to help calm the pimple. Matte finish but not as thin as the Mighty Patch. Not that sticky, some fall off and gets stuck to my pillow at night. The outer edge circumference starts to lose its adhesiveness throughout the day (be brave enough to wear it in public, it helps!). If I wrote YES SISTERS for the Mighty Patch, this is more like a yes sisters. I use the Mighty Patch until most of the gunk is gone (around 1-2 nights) and if the pimple is still there then I switch and use Alba Botanica pimple patch to absorb any remaining fluids. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Acne Patches $0.44 per sticker. Glossy finish. It has different ingredients like salicylic acid and tea tree oil that helps soothe that flaring spot without drying you as it also contains hyaluronic acid. For best results, use on pimples that hasn’t come to a head yet. The adhesive is pretty top notch unless it’s worn in moist conditions. It has helped me prevent so many almost cystic pimples. I would be at a loss without it. If you know any other effective products feel free to share so I can experience the same joys of eliminating pimples with you! 🤩 For more tips on how to say goodbye to that pimple, check out my other post Pimples-Good Riddance Part 2.

Review my routine!
Hi everyone! Still fairly new to skincare so my routine definitely still has room for improvement. I have combo skin where I can get a bit oily in the T-zone but dry around my nose, mouth, and eyes. So far this routine is working pretty well for me but I don’t feel like I am getting enough moisture. Also if anyone has any recommendations please let me know! CleanserOLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser okay I love this cleanser! It’s so gentle and I don’t feel like it strips my skin. Exfoliating cleanser THE BODY SHOP - Vitamin C Microdermabrasion I use this once or twice a week and it’s okay. I prefer the philosophy - The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash but it’s not cruelty free and it’s fairly expensive. SerumThe Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% This product is AMAZING it helped clear up my skin in about a week. Eye creams:THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream I don’t really see results from this one. BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream I got this as a sample and I feel like it’s nice and moisturizing under my eyes, I don’t see dramatic results though. Moisturizer THE inkey LIST - Multi-Biotic I recently started using this and I can definitely see an improvement, my only complaint is it doesn’t smell great. Moisturizer ACURE - Brightening Day Cream While I don’t use this anymore I do still love it and use it for if I go overkill irritating my skin. Acne alba BOTANICA - Acne Pimple Patch These work well and are so affordable! Clean&Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment One of the few spot treatments that actually works on me.

do PIMPLE PATCHES really work?
peach slices - Acne Spot Dots pimple patches are a great thing to have if you get pimples! they can help to conceal them throughout the day, provide protection from bacteria and use ingredients to help minimise them. 🤩 product rundown 🤩 alcohol and fragrance free, no harsh chemicals helps blemishes disappear quickly activity absorbs secretions drug free and non drying hydrocolliod patch protects wounded skin comes with 30 patches of all different sizes $4.49USD @ ULTA 🤓 my thoughts 🤓 I really like this product!! it gets the job done, covers pimples easily, doesn’t fall off (even after 8 hours of me wearing it) and makes it look like you’re not even wearing one! I apply this on clean skin and kept it on for 8 hours throughout the day. in my first pic, you can see how big it was ! it really was ready to pop. the pic beneath it was me the next morning, you can see the difference! it’s now a scar yes, but the size of it diminished, and the patches helped me to not pop it (because you best believe it was very tempting). in my second pic, that was the pimple right after I had taken the patch off. the pus was literally coming out. it was so satisfying seeing it on the patch as well. I think these are definitely worth it! they have worked every time I have used them and they helped to not prolong the process of a pimple!

Today’s Ulta haul!!!!✨🥳
Hi all! Today I ventured off to Ulta in search of a new moisturizer! If you saw my last post, then you know that I’m currently searching for a new one, as my most recent product just didn’t do it for me :( I was desperate for something super hydrating, so I ended up with the Murad - Nutrient-Charged Water Gel! I have heard nothing but amazing reviews about this, and considering every Murad product i’ve ever used has yet to fail me, I thought i’d give it a try As for first impressions, this gal was PRICEY... not even gonna lie... but I was in the market for a new product willing to spend a little more than usual so I thought why not? It’s ok to treat yo self here and there 😉 But this cream is so THICK! It only took about a fingertip worth of product to completely coat my entire face comfortably, which is definitely what I want in a product! My skin gets so dry during this time of the year so lathering is key! It sunk into my skin effortlessly and i SWEAR my skin feels baby soft after one use! The only thing I’m a little weary of is that it has the slightest fragrance, however, my skin has never been extremely sensitive to that kind of stuff, unless it was like overly artificial. But this is a light, flowery scent that definitely smells natural and I can’t wait to keep using it! I also received a free Murad gift Murad - Free Intense Recovery Cream Deluxe Sample With Brand Purchase with the purchase and i’m excited to see what it does! Tbh not even sure of its actual use but I’ll try it out as an eye cream and see if it does anything 😂 My lack of sleep lately has definitely shown so i’ll try anything to get rid of my eye bags! While I browsed, I also came across the highly acclaimed COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence, which I constantly see on Cherie, as well as any K-Beauty skincare forums! I bought it to see for myself what the rave was all about! I finally feel comfortable in my new routine so I thought it would be a perfect time to add a new step! I’ve used essences in the past and it always made my face feel soft and supple! I’ve heard that this is more of a preventative product for anti aging, so I probably won’t see much of a physical difference anytime soon, but I’ll try anything as long as it’s safe for my skin! I’ve learned so much while being on this app and I’m excited to experiment with new products! I never thought i’d be putting snail mucin on my face if you would have told me a year ago, but here I am!😁🐌 Lastly, I also picked up some peach slices - Acne Spot Dots. These have always been lifesavers for me when I have to wear a mask for a long period of time, and since my classes are going to resume again soon, that means the mask stays on for several hours at a time 🥲 Thankfully I have no active breakouts atm, but it’s always nice to have a stack of these bad boys whenever I need them!

My Differin Journey (9 weeks in and STRUGGLING)
Hi all, Around the first week of December 2020 I decided to start trying Differin Adapalene Gel to address my skin concerns. As some of my previous posts explain, I’ve struggled badly with oily skin, blackheads, extremely enlarged pores, and occasional acne, most of my teenage years and into my adult life (I’m 26 now). I have tried SO many products to try and help curb my issues (see previous posts for examples), and though they’ve helped a little, I’ve never been fully satisfied with the results... my skin is just stubborn! I decided to swap my retinol for Differin to see if it would target my issues a little bit better and JEEZ has this been a journey so far... So to be completely blunt, I’m discouraged. If you look at the attached photo, the picture with all the acne is me NOW. Yes, RIGHT NOW. The one WITHOUT explosive acne is my BEFORE Differin skin. Okay, now I’ll get into it... So it’s been about 9 weeks since I’ve started on Differin. In the beginning I noticed my skin was starting to feel really sensitive, which it never is. Any other product (Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, etc.) felt like burning when I put it on, which is incredibly strange for me. My skin has been consistently pink ever since. I immediately stopped using any BHA, AHA or any harsh acid while using Differin and made sure to SLATHER on reparative moisturizer to help repair my skin barrier. Basically my skin routine needed to stripped to the bare minimum. Throughout the weeks, my skin flaked and peeled excessively, especially with makeup on. It looked SO dry and awful and felt stingy underneath (still does). Then about 3 weeks in, the purging started. It started off slow and erupted to where it’s at now on February 11, 2021. Purge pimples are so strange compared to my sporadic cystic acne bumps I’m used to getting. Purging shows up in a big breakout cluster of pimples, mostly small (not always), but definitely painful and brutal looking for me. Over the weeks it just got worse and worse. I’m getting pimples all in the same place for the most part — my lower cheek areas. It has been tumultuous and my skin has never looked this terrible in my whole life. I’ve done my research on Differin, and everyone says it is completely normal for your skin to get worse before it gets better (for me, A LOTTTTT worse). I’m hoping this is true because I really want to stick this out — I’ve already gone through the worst of it, might as well wait it out a bit longer. If you’re interested in Differin, just be prepared for what you’re getting into! I’m sure this will all be worth it but wanted to share my experience and help others with the SHOOKness that may or may not happen. I will definitely share updates in the future with hopefully better results! Anyone try Differin before? Was it this hard? Did your purging last this long? Words of encouragement? Thank you!! DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel

1 week update
thanks to all lovely beauties out there to take their time and add a comment on my last post. I was devastated by breakout, i was having from last 2-3 weeks and nothing seems to be working. Well i guess too many exfoliants was making my skin too sensitive so now i am back to basics. I have started what i was doing in the beginning and that seems to be working just fine. I think i was selfish to have a great skin in no time 🥴. If someone is just curious what i am doing right now then lets go to products. AM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control it has tree oil which is good for acne prone skin The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ as i have sensitive and oily skin this makes my face matte and oil free. I really like this one for oily skin or combination skin PM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (only on spots and acne 2-3 times a week) The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA (once a week) The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (once a week) The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque (once a week) The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane tea tree oil only on spots Even if i have listed so many items i feel i have very basic skin care routine as most of the products are being used weekly or only 2-3 times a week. But in the end this routine is working out for me and i am seeing good progress which makes me happy. Again thanks to all who suggested me before ❤️❤️

Purging or breaking out ??
Can someone tell me if its purging or i am just started breaking out after almost 3 months of using The ordinary products ?? It was getting better but now on one side its getting worse. Products i am using AM The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ PM The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque OR The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA OR The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane I have combination skin but after some research i have decided to go with these ones. If its only purging then i am happy but purging suppose to happen everywhere on face and this is only on left cheek specially on jawline that hurts ☹️ Thinking to use PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator to give it a try Thanks a lot lovely ladies

Differin progress... is this a purge or what?
Sorry this is gross.. I know my skin isn’t pretty right now. Today marks the 4th week I’ve been on DIFFERIN - 0.1% Adapalene Acne Treatment Gel Pump and also my new birth control (yaz). I have literally never, EVER seen my skin this awful and angry. Should I stick it out until the and of 12 weeks? Does this look like a purge or just a flat out breakout?! I’m freaking out.. I don’t even want to go outside looking like this. I’m also using Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream am and pm, and cleansing with CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser . Not looking to add any more products. Sometimes I use a hydrating toner. The dryness and peeling has subsided but the pimples do hurt, my cheeks are tender to the touch and sometimes itchy but that has gotten better over time also. Please help!!!!! EDIT: i just bought the DIFFERIN - Daily Deep Cleanser BPO 5%, Neutrogena - On-the-Spot Acne Treatmentand HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewellto hopefully combat the horrible breakouts pictured above. just praying it doesnt over dry my skin.

Hero Cosmetics... Hormonal Acne.. Bruh Girl
Disclaimer I am not a professional or influencer and anything but a 29 Year Old Bruhh Girl with a skincare addiction and battle with Sh***y skin for my entire life!!! I recently moved from NY to FL about 7 months ago and my skin did not agree with the change, or I have just entered into a new phase... I’m thinking Hormonal Acne but I have not been seen by any professionals... Since Aug 2020 I have been on the hunt like seriously I’ve been hunting down the elite skincare routine for my skin!!! Yes I spent way too much money on legit every TikTok trend my boyfriend every week would be like “let me guess TikTok made u buy it” but all in all he supports the chase since he knows how much it means to me to have that glowing smooth skin... Also I should add I’m an extreme picker like it’s terrible I hope you’ve enjoyed this rant... let me know if you’d like to see more products I’ve purchased ❤️ #Hero Cosmetics - Clear Collective Trio[products]#[FiveStars] This stuff is just pure magic, it’s affordable $35 for the set, a little goes a long way, packaging is beautiful, and just works so well. I’ve been using this set AM / PM for the last 7 days and I can already set see such a difference 😍 I finally feel like I have found a simple and affordable line of products that just do the job! The only thing I didn’t love at first was that all of the products have absolutely no scent, and the cream felt a little thick but you seriously only need a pea size for full face! HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell These are life savers, and the 24 pack is only $8, like I’ve mentioned I’m a picker! I’ve been really forcing myself to remember to use these first signs of a pimple and whelp they never disappoint. Plus it’s kinda satisfying waking up seeing that they worked and peeling off the patch and no longer having a painful bump 🙌🏻🙌🏻 HERO COSMETICS - Lightening Wand I purchased the travel size of this product to give it a try, since I am a picker often my post pimple healing phase can last weeks of redness / scabs ... this has deff been helping with the redness and healing period but after some reading I think I will be giving the Rescue Balm a try. The lighting wand is easy to use but the travel is $10 and full size $20, and the Rescue Balm is $13, personally I feel like this may be more useful for post acne scars rather than healing process.

Lessons learned: exfoliation mistakes
I spent years playing around with products and techniques trying to treat my dry, acne-prone skin. I didn’t even know exfoliation was a thing until a friend of mine pointed out a face scrub during a grocery trip.... Trying new exfoliation methods and scrubs that ended up not working was essential to getting my skin to where it is now! Keep reading for a breakdown of some of my early exfoliation mistakes (I made them so you don’t have to 🙃) and how I’ve corrected them in my routine today! I started exfoliating in high school because my skin had a flaking issue. I used pretty much whatever was cheapest at the grocery store: Neutrogena pink grapefruit products, St Ives apricot scrub, fruity peel-off masks, anything to physically remove my dead skin. Chemical exfoliators terrified me for YEARS after a bad experience with a low-quality AHA face wash. I resisted until less than a year ago, using scrubby cleansers and masks whenever I saw flakes pop up again. I have now seen the light of a gentle AHA 🙏🏼😇 I use The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA daily and use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution once a week. I use ACURE - Resurfacing Glycolic & Unicorn Root Clenser when I want a gentle chemical exfoliation and still use a really gentle scrub like fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash when I need a quick fix before putting makeup on, but chemical exfoliation is my new holy grail. *I am not saying that these products are not effective, just that the way I was using them was not good for my specific skin type! I still use a lot of these products or very similar products, just properly!* And that is how I went from years of ruining my skin and not understanding how to finding my perfect exfoliation routine! Share your best mistakes in the comments!

morning routine
Consistency is KEY babes !!! Here is my current morning routine! I am definitely not a professional, just a gal obsessed with skincare. I’m starting to see amazing changes in my skin after sticking to this routine. My main concerns are acne and scars. Order is as follows: cocokind - Turmeric Spot Treatment I use this as a mask when I wake up and am making my coffee. I find it really helps to calm down any redness/irritation and fades dark spots. Avène - Cleanance Cleansing Gel for face and body I only use the tiniest bit in the AM to remove residue from the turmeric stick as it’s quite oily and bright yellow lol. I’ve used this cleanser for so long and it always leaves my skin feeling clean without feeling dry or tight. HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray after I pat my face dry I spray this on. It’s got a suuuper strong scent which I don’t love but it is perfume free🤷‍♀️ The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 while my skin is still damp I pat this on!!! I would recommend patch testing this out first- I’ve heard from some people that this HA serum increases their breakouts but I haven’t had an issue. Not sure if I NEED this in my morning routine as the ordinary’s alpha arbutin has HA in it?! But my skin responds really well to added moisture. The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I’ve started using these 2 products together to reduce breakouts and fade scars/dark spots and WOW, name a better duo I’ll wait🥺 For the first time in forever I have no active breakouts 👏 The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG I’m honestly not sure how much this really does for me but it’s super affordable and makes me feel fab. You only need the tiniest bit and it will last you forever. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin we love Cerave in this household 👏👏👏 VICHY - Idéal Soleil Sport - Ultra-Light Refreshing Lotion SPF 60 SPF!!! Every👏day👏 This can be a little finicky and you need to make sure your other products are absorbed and your hands are clean and dry, as it has a tendency to pill 🥴 but I find it’s a really great spf for my skin and doesn’t break me out. All that being said, I am no expert and am always always always looking for ways to improve! Feel free to leave a comment 👇 Roast me to filth if you must 🤪 Thanks SO much💘

PEACE OUT-Acne Healing Dots
the best pimple patches!!
the best pimple patches!!
ummmm these are hands down the best pimple patches i’ve ever tried!! and i’ve gone thru manyyyyy. the price kinda steered me away when comparing them to other pimple patches (they’re $16.99 when you include shipping compared to cheaper $5 ones). But once i tried these i was like yo these ACTUALLY work every time and i think about how it was more of a waste of money to be buying cheaper pimple patches that don’t even work properly. i’ve tried COSRX - COSRX Pimple Patch Set they’re okayy. felt like i still was left with a scar after. i’ve tried nexcare and the creme... just no ❤️ Hero cosmetics comes with 36 patches and it’ll last me a good 3-4 months. i’ll wear these in public sometimes and you barely notice cuz they’re so thin and transparent. they also have invisible patches which are made for the daytime and work just as well.

How To Get Rid Of Acne Fast
How To Get Rid Of Acne Fast
Acne has been a constant issue in my life up to this day, I’ve been able to kind of control it with the use of several products and following certain routines. Although pimples still appear here and there caused by a bad diet or hormones, now that I’m older I know what works for my skin and what doesn’t. Before we decide whether to buy a product or not, we first need to figure out what type of acne we have and take a deep dive into the subject to understand it more and figure out the most effective option to fight it and control it.   Common acne: Includes comedones which are clogged hair mixed with oil and dead skin. There are different types of comedones, the easiest to treat are whiteheads (closed pore) and blackheads (open pore). This category also includes papules which are small inflamed red bumps and pustules, which tend to look like a whitehead but with a red circle around it, they are filled with pus and you should never mess with them with your hands because you can leave some scars if you pinch them. Make sure to look out for products labeled noncomedogenic, meaning they won’t clog your pores! Most over the counter products are acceptable for common acne since it’s not too severe. Nodular acne: One of the severe forms of acne, it shows as large, inflamed and firm bumps and tend to be painful. If you think you have nodular acne you should visit a dermatologist so you can be prescribed proper medication and an effective treatment. Cystic Acne: It’s considered by most the most severe type of acne so it needs to be treated by a professional. They appear as pus filled cysts with redness around them and are painful on touch. When you hear about hormonal acne it’s not a type of acne but mainly a cause of it. It’s common in teenagers due to the change in hormones, showing mostly on the T-zone area but also on adults, especially females during their periods or if they have certain conditions like: menopause, polycystic ovarian syndrome or high levels or androgen. Hormonal acne causes most of the time the types found under the “Common Acne” category. I’ve tried probably dozens of products to treat pimples and acne problem across my life, ranging from different prices and different brands. While some were decent, others caused terrible breakouts and allergies. It wasn’t until I found my all my favorite, which is surprisingly the most affordable and simplest one.   Acne Fighting Spot Gel by e.l.f. This product is a small roll on gel that is really easy to apply and carry around with you. Some of its ingredients are Salicylic Acid (Found almost in all anti-acne products), Tea Tree Oil, Witch hazel Aloe Vera. I love this product because it’s like 3 products in one, it reduces the swelling and heals the skin at the same time while preventing more potential breakouts. Whenever I get a pimple, big or small, I simply apply this product after washing my face in the morning and night, and if possible, during the day too. You don’t need to apply much; it does wonders with simply rolling it over your skin once. I can always see improvements even after a couple hours and my pimples are gone super fast.   Another product that has helped me a lot by preventing pore clogging and the creation of potential pimples is Drops of Youth Liquid Peel by The Body Shop. It exfoliates and peels off dead skin cells, impurities and makeup residue. The first time I tried it I was speechless because I thought I had already washed my face with cleansers but apparently there was still microscopical bacteria that is not visible for the human eye. Since it’s a slightly more aggressive product you should use it 2-3 times a week only since it’s technically renewing your skin. It’s very easy to use and as well, you don’t need much product for it to do wonders. Simply pump some product on your hands or directly on your face, massage it for a couple seconds until you start seeing all the dead cells, once you are done simply rinse your face with water.   Hopefully these products work for you as well! And remember to seek professional help if you suffer from severe acne to avoid further complications or scarring.

Enlarged & Clogged Pores Myths
Enlarged & Clogged Pores Myths
There are actually 2 kinds of pores on your body Oil Pores/hair follicles & Sweat Pores. 😓 Sweat Pores~are very tiny & can’t be seen with the naked eye but are all over our body & and of course produce our sweat. Since we can’t see them must of us don’t really think about them at all. 💦 Oil Pores~ can be found all over your body accept the palms of your hands & the soles of your feet. When people talk about enlarged pores or clog pores they are actually referring to oil pores 💦 Oil pores are at the opening of our hair follicles & sebaceous glands, which are responsible for producing the oils that lubricate &moisturize our skin. Why do I have enlarged pores? 🧬 Genetics~ Unfortunately as most issues with our body & skin we inherit enlarged pores, but to worry we can prevent increasing the size of them. ☀️ Sun damage ~Repeated exposure to to UV rays can damage collagen & elastic tissue In the skin, which can increase the size of the pores. 🧼Clog Pores~ In some cases clogged pores can actually change the size of the pore itself by Overstretching the elastin & collagen around it. If a pore is unclogged quickly & properly, it will go back to its original size. 🧼Extraction~ While it seems harmless and very satisfying to extract or pop a pimple, if it’s not done the proper way, you can actually cause damage and deepen the clogged pore or cause broken capillaries. Also can cause your face to break out even more. Can I shrink my pores? Most of the time when people talk about shrinking their pores they are talking about clearing a pore or unclogging it. Which makes them less noticeable. How can I clear/unclog my pores~ Retinol~ Is a powerful anti aging & acne ingredient that has been proven to help clear pores by increasing cell turnover. Glycolic acid (a type of AHA) or salicylic acid (BHA):~These two ingredients are powerful exfoliators that help remove dead skin cells and clear pores of pollutants. Extraction ~ One of the most effective ways of clearing clogged pores or blackheads is extraction. I always recommend having it done professionally by a experienced esthetician. It is very easy if not done properly to cause damage to your pore & skin. Steam~ Steaming your face helps flush out dirt & oils to the surface of your face. Contrary to popular opinion, steam does not open your pores, because they are always open. It helps relaxes the muscles under your skin and makes it easier to clean, so it can help you get out dirt that’s trapped deep inside. 🚨Tip~ I recommend using a gentle cleanser after omg steaming & then a good moisturizer. Don’t steam too often it can cause your face to dry out. You can just use water to steam your face, I personally use klei - Calm Spearmint & Lavender Floral Facial Steam It helps clear your clog pores & moisturizes at the same time. Pore strips~are very satisfying but they only remove the surface of the blackhead and minimize the look of the pore for a short time. Bioré - Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips

Perfect for Acne! But Use It Carefully! 🌟💗
Perfect for Acne! But Use It Carefully! 🌟💗
Love it or hate it? When it comes to mainstream acne medications, if it exists, I've tried it. My journey with curology started over a year ago. It was my last desperate attempt to get clear skin once and for all. Since their trial was only $5, I gave it a try. After three months of religiously using my custom formula, which included: - Tretinoin: One of the most active ingredients for fighting acne, dark spots, and blackheads. - Clindamycin: Antibacterial that fights inflammation and acne-causing bacteria. - Azelaic Acid: Unclogs pores, improves skin texture, and lightens dark spots. My skin was in absolute heaven. The type of paradise that means you can go to the office WITHOUT wearing any foundation, powder, or creams. This was like a dream come true. My confidence was at its all-time high. However, going back four months, my Curology formula wasn't cutting it for me. Luckily, you can change it by reaching out to your assigned dermatologist. But, after speaking with various estheticians, I've concluded that you got to be careful! It can be addictive to use this cream every day in the hopes of seeing faster results. However, when you do this, you also run the chance of damaging your skin's natural barrier and ending up with even more breakouts than before. SO! My advice for everyone who wants to love Curology is to stay with 2-3 times a week if you're given the nighttime treatment. Are you a Curology lover? Are you wanting to try but have questions? Let me know in the comments!

Aloe Vera for Acne 😍🌟
Aloe Vera for Acne 😍🌟
One of the cheapest and most effective acne treatments you should try is ALOE VERA! What Aloe Vera Can Do for Acne Pure, all-natural aloe vera can replace your cleanser or be your moisturizer every night. It boosts blood flow to the face and kills harmful (acne-causing) bacteria. How Long Should I Wait to See Results Results won’t happen overnight. Ideally, you want to apply this at least once a day to see improvements in acne scarring and breakouts. Remember that skin cell turnover for someone in their mid-20s is anywhere between 28-35 days. So, you need to be patient. In the meantime, your skin will feel less irritated and calmer overall. How to Use Aloe Vera? Get an aloe stem from the supermarket or your local plant nursery. Cut the stem and get the crystal. Make sure to wash the crystal using water to get rid of the iodine or yellow liquid you see as this can be toxic. Then, place the crystals in the fridge and use them as needed. All you have to do is cut a small square and rub the crystal all over your face. This can stay on the fridge for 3-5 days. Another great way to use aloe is by making aloe ice cubes. 🧊 This is my favorite way of using it because the ice helps boost even more blood flow to the area, which increases collagen production, closes pores, and gives you a subtle lifting effect. Plus, this way, your crystals can last longer.
