Silky body lotion show down! Who wins??
In case you didn’t hear... DRUNK ELEPHANT JUST LAUNCHED A BODY AND HAIR CARE LINE! Does the new body lotion live up to the hype? The answer is YES. Does it beat out my old favorite, the body lotion by Necessaire? Also YES. Both of these products are marketed as a basic body moisturizer that is non-fragrant. They are made for dry skin that is in need of some moisture and ideal for all skin types. For some background: my body skin is very dehydrated and dry, with occasional irritation. In the winter, most body lotions that contain fragrance (both of these are non-fragranced) tend to sting and burn my skin. I’m happy to report that both of these are very hydrating and soothing! So what’s the difference? Huge difference to me is, first, the packaging. I HATE fumbling around with wet hands trying to screw on and off a cap, aka the Necessaire body lotion. The squeeze tube is really nice, but please give ya girl a flip top cap, at least! I really love how easy it is to handle the DE body lotion’s flip top cap and sleek body. Secondly, the scents... non-fragranced just means that there’s no ADDED fragrance, but natural fragrance from ingredients can still smell. The DE lotion comes out smelling like almonds, which is pleasant IMO, but it completely goes away within seconds. I tend to think the Necessaire lotion smells almost of plastic when it’s on the skin. Thirdly, they both absorb into the skin instantly, and like a dream. BUT, my personal favorite is the DE body lotion because of this very key point: it feels way thicker and nourishing on my skin. The hydration sticks around so much longer. If you rather have a thinner body lotion and your skin isn’t as dehydrated as mine, you could opt for the Necessaire lotion instead. But I need mega moisture! At the end of the day, I really like both products. If my skin needs a ton of moisture, I opt to using the DE one. If my skin feels pretty hydrated already, then I’ll go with the thinner the Necessaire body lotion. I highly recommend them both. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion

Best Time to Apply Body Lotion? 🧡
𝒮𝒾𝓁𝒾 𝒮𝒶𝓉𝓊𝓇𝒹𝒶𝓎 🧡 The skin on your body needs just as much loving as the skin on your face! Sili Body Lotion will restore dry, dull & irritated skin - leaving you with moisturized, balanced, and healthy looking skin. ✨ 𝒦𝑒𝓎 𝐼𝓃𝑔𝓇𝑒𝒹𝒾𝑒𝓃𝓉𝓈 🧡 Marula Butter, 5-Ceramide Blend, Shea Butter, Marula Oil, Coconut Oil, Sacha Inchi Seed Oil, Aragon Oil, Beta Carotene, Spondias Mombin Pulp Extract, Squalane, & Multi Amino Acid Blend ✨ 𝒫𝓇𝑜 𝒯𝒾𝓅 🧡 Did you know that Sili body lotion can be applied to wet skin? It’s actually my preferred way of applying it - fresh out of the shower. After I get out of the shower, I usually pass the towel over my body quickly so it’s not soaking wet, but damp, and then I apply Sili all over my body. According to some dermatologists, your skin has the most moisture when it’s wet & most moisturizers work best when the skin is already hydrated. ✨ Available at drunkelephant.com & Sephora for just $20! 🌟 * 𝒦𝒾𝓃𝒹𝓁𝓎 𝑔𝒾𝒻𝓉𝑒𝒹 but repurchased several times by myself 💞 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion

The Good and not so good Necessaire
To save your coins from the Necessaire brand their body scrub and body wash are great especially to keep your skin buttery soft. The rest left much to be desired. I felt the body lotion and serum for the price points didn’t leave impact to the skin. I tried them in a variety of combos but both left me dry and ashy 😔.
Body + Lip Products for the Winter
Since it’s been getting colder, my skin has been craving a lot more moisture. Here’s what I’ve been trying recently, with my honest reviews. I am unemployed because of COVID, so price is something I’m very conscious of. I’m only repeat-buying products that work and are worth the price! JOSIE MARAN - Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter Vanilla Apricot This is my must-have in the winter for dry skin. It’s extremely hydrating, a little goes a long way, the pot lasts forever, and it’s one of my all time favorite scents. I received this as a gift last year but liked it so much that I’ve continued to buy it ever since! Josie Maran is expensive, so I might recommend adding this product to a Christmas wish list for the first try if you’re curious and on a budget. philosophy - Fresh Cream Body Lotion I love this for every day use. The scent is very warm, which I love for winter, and lingers for most of the day but isn’t overpowering! Not cheap but affordable, and it hits all the marks for a great lotion. Nécessaire - The Body Lotion A new purchase which I bought because of the vitamins it contains, and, honestly, all the hype surrounding it. It’s unscented, the consistency is GREAT, and it absorbs well. But although it’s around the same price as philosophy lotions, the fact that it’s unscented makes me want to reach for tried-and-true, cheaper lotions from brands like CeraVe. The ingredients so far have not caused any noticeable changes in my skin so I probably won’t buy this for myself again even though I love how smoothly it goes on. BURT’S BEES - Almond & Milk Hand Cream A great drugstore buy that WORKS. It’s slightly more heavy duty than my other hand creams and melts into the skin well. Plus I love the scent, it reminds me of marzipan/almond paste. fresh - Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment First of all, this chapstick is super expensive. I’m so scared of losing it that it never leaves my house. But with that being said, it really is an amazing chapstick. If I use this once in the morning and once at night, I don’t really need to think about my lips for the rest of the day. Awake - Lip Therapy Lip Mask I received this as a sample and it’s....it’s really good, okay. This is the product that got me into lip masks. It works and it smells great. Even after trying other brands, this one’s still my favorite. And it’s a couple dollars cheaper than other lip masks on the market!
Looking for a body lotion that won’t break the bank, is great for your skin, and doesn’t damage the environment?? I got you!! Claims: helps refresh skin, helps skin look healthy, moisturizes My thoughts: This body lotion is so great!! The moisture it gives you lasts a pretty long amount of time. It isn’t too light or too heavy. It smells amazing!! This is around $6 at Target, so that’s a plus. The products that they use are all ethically sourced. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!! 11/10!

First Drunk Elephant Product to Work for Me! 🐘
DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion I have very sensitive skin. I have been dying to get into Drunk Elephant as a brand. I got this as a free sample from Sephora with a body wash. Unfortunately, I couldn’t use the body wash because it was filled with Almond Oil, which I’m extremely allergic to 🥺. However, this one seemed to have great ingredients and I gave it a shot, which I am happy I did! This lotion is awesome, and made my legs super duper smooth. Not sure I would buy the full size just because of the hefty price, but definitely grab this as a sample if you can! My skin can for sure feel a difference in quality from what I used to be using to this product! 💖

overpriced body lotions?
today I am going to talk not about face care but body care. I am going to talk about SOL de Janeiro - Double Treat Set which is two mini sized body lotions, the SOL de Janeiro - Coco Cabana Cream and the SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Bum Bum Cream which are two hydrating body lotions. The first one is the SOL de Janeiro - Coco Cabana Cream When you first open this jar you can immediately smell a very strong scent of coconut mixed with a hint of pineapple. At first I was not a fan but, after using it a few times the scent became more faint. It has a bit of a thinner consistency and is a bit watery. I do love the packaging though! And i am a fan of the fact it is paraben free. I was a little confused at why the price would be 45 dollars for a body cream. I feel it is not worth the price being that after using this for a month my skin didn’t feel any more hydrated then it normally is. Instead I would recommend the DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion or if you want a cheaper price the CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin theese both are amazing and will give you better results. Now the SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Bum Bum Cream this one had less of a strong scent and it was more fruity. I really liked this scent. It has a thicker consistency than the other one and applying it feels very luxurious. This one did hydrate my skin more then the other one and it help smooth it out too. This product is also formulated without pareabens witch I am super happy about. I am not the biggest fan of the price but if you are willing to spend more on a body lotion this ones definitely worth it. -thanks to @glamwithtatefor helping with the photo!

Sili Body Lotion by Drunk Elephant🐘💕
This is the Sili Body Lotion By Drunk Elephant. It is meant to hydrate skin with clean ingredients. I have fairly dry and sensitive skin and really am enjoying this so far. It is creamy, absorbs quickly and has a light scent of almond. This product contains some gorgeous ingredients that are the big players in hydrating after use. These include Marula butter, Shea butter, Marula oil and squalane. These have fatty acids and antioxidants! It’s hydrating without being sticky or distracting and makes skin feel nice and soft. It has a light smell of almonds from an oil in it but it is fragrance-free which I love. At $20 for 8oz, it’s not terribly priced considering what’s inside of it, though I do wish the container was a bit bigger. Are you picking up the new line? Four stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion

Moisturized Legs for Daysss ☀️
The proof is in the pudding, you guys - Drunk Elephant’s Sili body lotion has been keeping my legs hydrated, soft & moisturized during this summer season. No one wants to be walking around in a pair of shorts with dry, flaky, ashy looking legs. I love applying this body lotion after showering at night - it is such a long lasting body lotion where I don’t ever feel the need to reapply throughout the day. The formula of this body lotion is filled with ceramides & lots of other great beneficial ingredients to provide moisture & hydration. I can’t wait to see what other body products Drunk Elephant creates to nourish the body’s skin. The skin on our body deserves the same amount of love & attention that we give to our face! And compared to the price point of their skincare line, $20 for 6 oz or incredible quality body lotion is a complete bargain! DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sili™ Body Lotion

THE BEST NATURAL DEOS IVE EVER TRIED!
Natural deodorants are SO tough to shop for. They all claim to keep the stink away and last you all day, but do they actually work? I have been through SO many natural deos that I was getting very discouraged that I wouldn’t ever find one that worked, without weird side effects. I’ve had problems with them staining my clothes, burning my arm pits, and just plain smelling BAD. These two are the best that I have ever tried! Let’s find out which is for you! I want to start by saying my under arms are incredibly sensitive. Most deos burn my skin. They also tend to get stinky and sweaty within an hour if I forget deo. Both of these deodorants are marketed to be free of the bad ingredients like aluminum, parabens, and other harmful ingredients. They are meant for anyone, with any skin type, that needs to protect their underarms from odor. The Necessaire deo currently comes in the eucalyptus scent only. This isn’t my favorite smell in the world, but it definitely masks odor. I do find the scent a bit overpowering for my preference. Whereas the drunk elephant deo comes out initially smelling of almonds and the scent quickly disappears. I didn’t think I would like an unscented deo, but I love it! The textures of each of these deos is very different! The Necessaire one is a tad more thick and almost paste-like. The DE deodorant is very creamy and spreads on clear! This is a huge selling point for me, as I cannot stand white paste being in my arm pits. The DE one completely absorbs, too! The last difference, that was a complete game changer for me was that one of these BURNS when my skin is sensitive after shaving. I find that the Necessaire one burns and tingles on sensitive skin and that the DE deo is super soothing. If you have more sensitive of arm pits, I would opt for the DE deo! If you more so need a stronger scent to mask your odor, you should go for the Necessaire deo! These are still both the “best of the best” that I have found. They both WORK and I will probably always keep both around for specific uses. I highly recommend them. Nécessaire - The Deodorant Eucalyptus DRUNK ELEPHANT - Sweet Pitti Deodorant Cream
