Snail mucin for your skin

skincare.guy
Comprised of 70% black snail secretion filtrate, the íUNIK - Black Snail Restore Serum
is a hydrating powerhouse that claims to provide skin nourishment, reduce the appearance of premature aging, brighten the skin, soothe the skin, and increase cell regeneration. Other key ingredients in the formula include centella asiatica leaf water, glycerin, niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, mugwort, adenosine, arginine, some fermented ingredients, and five superfood extracts. This has that familiar slimy viscous gel texture that you can associate with most snail mucin based products. This starts off as a lightweight slimy gel but quickly turns into a watery consistency as you massage it into the skin. It quickly sinks in while providing the skin with an adequate amount of hydration without any tackiness. I fairly enjoyed this serum but it wasn’t anything spectacular in my book. After a couple weeks of use, the results I saw were more hydrated skin, some mild soothing of redness around my cheeks, and slightly faster healing time from my acne breakouts. My skin didn’t look that much brighter and I can’t really comment on any reduction in the appearance of premature aging. I basically expected this to be a hydrating serum which was what I essentially got. This is also formulated without any fragrance. It also didn’t cause any negative reactions on my skin which is always a win for me. Overall, this is a wonderfully formulated serum that most skin types could utilize without any issues. I enjoyed it but I’m not sure I’d be rushing out to repurchase it just yet. Regardless, this is still a great product but I’m looking for something a bit more in terms of results.

Amazing green tea calming serum
Amazing green tea calming serum
About a month ago or so, I purchased the Beauty of Joseon - Calming Serum : Green Tea + Panthenol on a whim due to the ingredients profile. Little did I know, it’d become one of my favorite serums. It’s a calming, moisturizing, and brightening serum that contains 76.49% green tea leaf water and 2% panthenol. Green tea contains EGCG (catechin) which is composed of tannins and polyphenols. These provide potent antioxidant and skin soothing benefits to the skin by helping to inhibit the synthesis of melanin from UV rays and remove free radicals that promote aging. This in turn helps improve the appearance of sun damaged skin. Other key ingredients in the formula include glycerin, centella asiatica, algae, mugwort, sodium hyaluronate, propolis, betaine, and allantoin. This has a lightweight and runny gel texture that immediately sinks into the skin while also restoring hydration to it. Once absorbed, you’re left with a smooth hydrating layer that just makes your skin look plump and bouncy. I preferred using this mostly during the day to maximize its antioxidant properties but it was also a great supplement to my evening routine as well. This serum quickly became a staple in my routines as it helped keep my skin calm and hydrated. The redness around my cheeks quickly disappeared upon application and my pores throughout the day looked as if they were flattened (smoother). I could even see that I wasn’t producing as much sebum as usual too. As far as brightening effects goes, my skin looked more even toned and less dull. Green tea surprisingly contains a large amount of vitamin c which contributed to how well this provided my skin with a healthy radiance. There’s also no fragrance added to this so there’s no discernible scent which is great for all my sensitive skin folk. Overall, I loved this serum and I’m quite sad to say that I’ve now emptied it. I already plan to repurchase this but I want to try out their other two serums first. Green tea has always been one of my favorite ingredients in skin care but it’s hard finding a serum without heavy fragrances or the right texture for my skin type. This is a winner for me. Have you guys tried this yet? If so, any thoughts? Rating: 5/5 🌟 #CherieCreator #BeautyOfJoseon

Amazing skin soothing serum
Amazing skin soothing serum
One of the best soothing serums ever! Fight me! The Krave - Great Barrier Relief is a skin soothing serum that restores your skin barrier while also evening out your complexion. It’s one of my all time favorite products from Krave Beauty, and I’m pretty sure you all know why. It’s nourishing formula contains so many skin beneficial ingredients such as it’s star 10% tamanu oil, safflower oil, rosehip seed oil, natural moisturizing factors, ceramides, phytosterol, squalane, and niacinamide. These all work in synergy to brighten, repair, and replenish what your skin is currently lacking. This has a lush emollient creamy texture that easily glides and effortlessly sinks into the skin. It leaves behind a slight dewy finish but it’s not greasy or heavy feeling at all. This does have that earthy pungent scent that’s associated with tamanu oil but I quite like it. There aren’t enough words to describe how much I love this serum. I’ve used it in so many times when my skin’s being reactive and sensitive rather it be from an allergic reaction to over exfoliating my skin. It just works and works quickly to help soothe any form of irritation my skin’s feeling. Not only does it soothe, but with consistent use, I’ve seen my skin tone become brighter and more even. That’s thanks to the rosehip seed oil and niacinamide in the formula. It’s also helped diminish the amount of breakouts I get as well as reduced the redness around my cheeks. I would like to say that this would be great for all skin types but there are those who are sensitive to tamanu oil so remember to patch test before trying anything new to reduce the risk of a reaction. Overall, I love this serum and it will be a forever repurchase for me. I’ve already gone through two bottles and plan to repurchase two more to have as backups in case of any skin emergencies. It’s just the best to bring my skin back to normal from any reaction. Feel free to share your thoughts on this below. Do you guys love it as much as I do? Rating: 5/5 🌟 #CherieCreator #KraveBeauty

Acne calming serum
Acne calming serum
#SomeByMi is a relatively new brand to me. I’ve only tried one product from them, and that’s their snail truecica mirale repair serum. It’s claims to be a multi functional serum that can brighten, repair skin, fade acne scars, reduce blemishes, and soothe skin. I was initially hooked into their claims when I saw a video of someone using this for 30 days to drastically fade away their deep pitted acne scars. I knew initially that it was probably over dramatized and that a simple serum couldn’t do that within a month. I still bought it anyways due to the claims of reducing blemishes and soothing the skin. This has that familiar slimy gel texture that you can associate with a snail product. It turns into a watery consistency that’s no longer sticky once you start spreading it onto the skin which then almost instantly get absorbs. It dries down to skin like finish that’s not sticky or tacky. The contains a ton of actives like niacinamide, black snail secretion filtrate, trehalose, beta glucan, allantoin, sucrose, adenosine, tea tree, centella asiatica, willow bark extracts, and some botanical extracts. It has a nice ingredients profile but as far as performance, I wasn’t really wowed by it. I experienced some mild hydration, slightly brighter skin, reduction in redness, slightly smaller pores, and no breakouts which are all good in my book but I feel like I was expecting more from this serum. This also did help balance my sebum production a bit during the day. It barely did anything in fading my deeper acne scars though which I kind of expected. This does have a citrus scent due to the bergamot oil if you’re wondering. But luckily, this didn’t irritate my skin whatsoever. I’d say this would be good for oily, combo, and acne prone skin types. Overall, it’s a good serum that can be your all in one if you’re experiencing acne, hyperpigmentation, redness, dryness, or dullness. I enjoyed using it while I had it, but I’m really not sure if I’d repurchase just yet. I’ve used other serums in the same price point that provided the same or even better effects. Cosmetically elegant niacinamide serum
Cosmetically elegant niacinamide serum
By now, you already know how much I enjoy having a niacinamide serum in my routines. It’s such a great ingredient for the skin with so many benefits. The latest niacinamide product that I’ve been using is the NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% . This is a concentrated niacinamide and zinc serum to help reduce the look of enlarged pores, regulate sebum production, purify congested skin, and refine the appearance of uneven texture. This is such a cosmetically elegant niacinamide serum that. It has a smooth, viscous, and opaque gel texture that easily spreads over the skin. It dries down fairly quick to a hydrating skin finish with minimal stickiness. It layered well over products and I didn’t have any issues with pilling. There’s no fragrance added so there’s no discernible scent to me. I expected this to perform similarly to most of the niacinamide serums that I’ve tried in the past. The results I noticed was that it helped reduce my pore size and redness, regulated my sebum production, and it made my skin feel so smooth post application. My skin also looked slightly more even toned over time. What I was most curious about was whether this would dry me out and cause breakouts. Well, it did unfortunately. The first week of using this daily in my morning routine was great. The second week though, my skin started to feel dry and I was breaking out everywhere. I assumed I was purging. I reduced my usage to every other day and that helped to reduce the dryness and breakouts. Eventually, I paused using it for about a week, and my skin returned to normal. I’m still using it but only a couple times a week which allows me to get the benefits but without the negative effects. Overall, my experience with this was decent and enjoyable. It’s a nicely formulated niacinamide serum that does what it claims to do. Unfortunately, this caused my skin to react similarly to the ordinary’s niacinade serum so I’m on the fence about repurchasing. Feel free to check this out if you’re in the market for a new niacinamide serum. If you’ve tried this, what are your thoughts on it?

Get glowing skin with this essence
Get glowing skin with this essence
My skin is dry/acne prone and a bit sensitive. This essence is supposed to moisturize, brighten, and protect the skin with antioxidants. It’s very lightweight pink water that absorbs instantly into the skin. This goes right after cleansing and before any serums. I used this every day for a few weeks and my skin was glowy all day every day. Like glow from within kind of glow. Also really helped with my hormonal acne. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who has acne or wants a glow. #cheriecreator Then I met you - The Giving Essence

🐌 I Dream a Slimy Dream of Hydration 🐌
🐌 I Dream a Slimy Dream of Hydration 🐌
At first reading the words “slimy”, “snail” and “mucin” may not sound too appealing when thinking of products to add to your skincare routine. However, have you researched the benefits of snail mucin for the skin? Here’s a few: ✨ Allantoin - a skin conditioning and protecting agent that is reported to have keratolytic, hydrating, epithelializing, and anti-irritant activities ✨ Glycolic Acid - an AHA that acts as a chemical exfoliant to remove dead skin cells, boost collagen production and reduce premature aging ✨ Hyaluronic Acid - used to bind water to the skin and prevent transepidermal water loss (TEWL) ✨ Naturally Antibacterial - to prevent and destroy the growth of bacteria It doesn’t sound as gross now, right? 🌚 With 96% snail mucin in this 100ml essence, it certainly packs a delicate punch of skin benefits. Price? The price overall isn’t too bad considering you really only need two little pumps of this essence to cover your entire face. I got it off of Amazon for about $19 USD. Recommended For? I would recommend this for all skin types. I have dehydrated, sensitive, acne-prone / oily skin and my husband has dry acne-prone skin and we both absolutely adore this essence. It leaves our faces feeling SO hydrated and calm. ✨✨🐌 Texture? 😂 it is SLIMY, as expected, however it glides effortlessly on the skin and absorbs pretty quickly. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky or slimy either, just hydrated and nice ✨ How to use it? I like to use this after my toner, to give my skin a boost of hydration and prep for serums. I use only two small pumps and it covers my face entirely. ✨ Do I Like it? To say that I like it would be an understatement 💙 I love how it makes my skin feel, my skin feels hydrated, plump and soft after using it and it hasn’t caused any breakouts, in fact it helps keep my skin calm ✨ Overall Thoughts? Overall I think this essence is a fantastic addition to a routine, AM and PM. Its hydrating, calming and provides many benefits for the skin. The price point isn’t cheap, at least to me, but considering how long it will last with only two pumps per use, I think the price is fair. COSRX is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands and may even take over my routine 🌝 What do you think? Are you willing to put snail slime on your face? 🌚🐌🌝
