mikachuThank you for such a detailed review! I am loving the trend of people posting empties rather than shelfies to encourage using up products and reducing our waste 🥰 How does the Keep Cool sunscreen compare to the Krave Beet Shield? I am almost out of my current bottle of the Beet Shield and debating between trying Keep Cool vs. repurchasing Krave!

skincare.guyThank you! I have a review of the keep cool sunscreen further down my feed but it’s lighter to me than the krave beet shield and doesn’t leave that much dewy finish as the krave one. The keep cool one is also very hydrating. I like the keep cool a lot more for my oily skin. 😁

One-of-a-kind skincare product? 😳
Let’s get straight into the tea Based on the ingredients this is super promising! 😳 For $19, you get a blend of Niacinimide, various beneficial plant extracts, Vitamin C derivatives, and it is FRAGRANCE FREE! This product contains 2% niacinamide which is at a low percentage, making it safe for sensitive skin. (Studies show anything above 10% can cause irritation without additional benefit) Niacinamide is great for reducing redness, controlling oil production, fading hyperpigmentation and reducing appearance of pores! It also contains various plant extracts that can beneficial for the skin such as morninga, broccoli, and aloe extract other notable ingredients include beta glucan, sodium hyaluronate and panthenol (all hydrating and soothing ingredients) It has a very watery texture, almost like a toner and absorbs very easily into the skin. I would give this product an 9/10 because of how unique it is and I would never find something like this for the same price in America. If you would like 10-15% off Korean skincare use the code INF10SCGEEK at Stylevana.com **this product was gifted by StylevanaISNtree - C-Niacin Toning Ampoule
Gentle brightening treatment
I’m a huge sucker for anything claiming to brighten the skin because I deal with a lot of dark spots and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation due to my acne. I was drawn to the ISNtree - C-Niacin Toning Ampoule because it’s a brightening treatment that uses 69% sea buckthorn fruits extract and 2% niacinamide to provide the skin with a radiant complexion. It also contains other notable ingredients such as betain, aloe, sodium hyaluronate, beta-glucan, ethyl ascorbyl ether, and some botanical extracts for hydration and skin barrier strength. This has a slippery/watery texture that easily glides onto the skin. It absorbs fairly quick leaving you with a smooth hydrating finish that can feel a bit tacky but that disappears once something is layered over it. There’s no added fragrance of any kind in the formula so there’s no scent. This has been my go to day serum for the past month or so because of how rich it is in antioxidants and vitamins. It’s decently hydrating from all the humectants in the formula and the sea buckthorn and niacinamide work well together to provide my skin with a nice healthy subtle glow. It took me about 2-3 weeks before I started seeing results with this so it’s not a fast acting product. But with continued use and patience, my hyperpigmentation began to slowly fade and I saw my skin tone becoming brighter and more even. There can be a slightly tingling sensation upon application but it’s very mild and I only felt this when my skin was a bit more sensitized. This would be a great option for anyone who’s looking for a brightening treatment but can’t tolerate traditional vitamin c products. Overall, I enjoyed this products and the results it gave me. But I’m not quite sure I’d repurchase this just yet because I have other serums that brighten my skin a bit better and faster as well. I’ve been very impressed with a lot of isntree’s products lately as they have quality products worth trying. Have you guys tried this or anything from isntree yet? If so, any thoughts? My number 1 sunscreen
The TROIAREUKE - Acsen UV Protector Essence is my rank 1 sunscreen because of how lightweight the formula and finish are. I’ve yet to find a sunscreen that can top it. This hybrid sunscreen contains a mix of chemical and physical uv filters such as 7% octinoxate, 3% homosalate, 3% octisalate, and 1.49% titanium dioxide to protect your skin from UVA/UVB radiation. The finish of this is so fresh that it feels like a drink of water on my skin. It’s one of the best sunscreens for oily skin because there’s very little to no oil in the formula. This also contains other skin beneficial ingredients such as aloe vera, centella asiatica, sodium hyaluronate, allantoin, niacinamide, glycerin, and some peptides. This sunscreen has a lightweight milky gel cream texture that just melts into the skin. The finish isn’t sticky or tacky, and it just feels like hydrated skin. There’s also no white cast. This sunscreen is very hydrating and moisturizing so I find that I can even skip my daytime moisturizer when using this. The sunscreen actually reminds me of those water drop creams as it’s being rubbed into the skin because it melts down into a watery milky essence before being absorbed. This also imparts a cooling sensation which is nice during hotter months. There’s also no stinging around my eyes like some other sunscreens. I love that this sunscreen helps reduce my sebum production so that I don’t look like a greaseball by the end of the day. There are some things to keep in mind about this product though. The first is that they did add fragrance to this and although it hasn’t caused myself any irritations, I can’t say that it won’t be irritating for others. The second is the price. It’s quite pricy for the amount you get. But even so, I still really love this sunscreen, and will definitely repurchase when a sale is happening. Overall, this sunscreen checks most of the boxes for me. I do recommend trying this out but it’s not for everyone. It’s also pricy but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with the product. I’m still searching for a product that can replace this though. Has anyone else tried this yet? If so, any thoughts? Rating: 5/5 🌟 #CherieCreator #Troiareuke
Don’t forget to wear your sunscreen!
WEAR SUNSCREEN DAILY PLEASE! I have no new sunscreen review for you guys since I haven’t tried anything new recently. I just wanted to share with you all my current sunscreen rotation situation. I wanted to remind everyone the importance of wearing your sunscreen daily when you plan to go outside and even while you’re staying indoors. Allow me to share some of the damaging effects the sun can have on our skin after prolonged exposure without protection. 1️⃣ Skin cancer 2️⃣ Skin discoloration (mottled pigmentation) 3️⃣ Sunburns - high exposure to UVB rays 4️⃣ Skin aging - high exposure to UVA rays 5️⃣ Heat stroke/Heat exhaustion 6️⃣ Sun damage to the eyes 7️⃣ Telangiectasias - dilation of small blood vessels under the skin These are only some of the effects the sun can have on our skin. They can be avoided by simply applying and reapplying sunscreen daily according to how much sun exposure you’re planning to have. Wear sunglasses as well to protect your eyes. You can also take many other precautions as well to prevent sun damage such as covering up more or just avoid sun exposure during peak hours. I’ll leave you all with that and I hope you all have a wonderful day! A struggling month
Since my progress post I’d figure I’d show that even those who have promoted they’ve healed their acne that it may and can be just for a moment, a month or a year and things can change in your life that could eventually alter your skin yet again. During the summer my skin was doing real good except the occasional monthly pimples from my period. However these past 2 months I’ve been breaking out along my jawline, chin, mouth and a little on the cheeks. It’s been pretty frustrating because I felt like I was me again and then boom I’m back to feeling insecure. I am currently testing new products to see a difference and changing/adding supplements and vitamins to help and will hope to update in a few months ! All I can say is that I am unemotional about this round of acne... and I think it helps to have a great support system to keep you positive because at the end of the day we are all beautiful no matter what may appear on our faces 😊 New products: COSRX - BHA Blackhead Power Liquid Helping with my pores and bringing my acne to surface Beauty of Joseon - Calming Serum : Green Tea + Panthenol Soothing my inflammatory acne YEOUTH - Retinol Serum with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera Really excited to finally add a retinol and this one is great- not $$$ and absorbs nicely (won’t see full effects until another 2-3 weeks) Apart from that my routine has stayed the same and the rest of my face is pretty clear!
Maskne - Please help!
I have combination acne-prone somewhat sensitive skin. My “maskne” has gotten horrible lately! My current skincare routine is: AM Cleanser - Good (Skin) Days - A New Leaf Cream Cleanser Toner - Benton - Aloe BHA Skin Toner Essence - NEOGENLAB - Real Rerment Micro Essence Serum - Beauty of Joseon - Calming Serum : Green Tea + Panthenol Moisturizer - dear, klairs - Fundamental Water Gel Cream SPF - Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen SPF 40 PM Oil cleanser - Then I met you - Living Cleansing Balm Cleanser Treatment (2x/week) - NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy A-Clear Aid Soothing Essence Pad Essence Serum Moisturizer Any advice would be appreciated! I’m not sure if any of my products are making it worse.

Nice but unnecessary
Have you ever bought a product just because of how pretty the packaging was? And that you convinced yourself that you really needed it? Well, for me, that was the LANEIGE - Eye Sleeping Mask . This is a leave-on eye mask that claims to deeply hydrate and de-puff tired looking eyes. It contains key ingredients such as caffeine, beta-glucan, saccharomyces cerevisiae extract, ascorbyl glucoside, adenosine, and a couple botanical extracts. This has a lightweight gel texture that immediately hydrates the under eyes. It dries down beautifully to a skin finish that just wraps the area in a moisture veil. Upon application, you can instantly feel a cooling sensation thanks to the ceramic ball applicator. Now, I don’t usually use eye products because I don’t ever find them necessary. I tend to just bring my moisturizer up to my orbital bone under my eyes to hydrate and moisturize that area. I really only purchased this product for it’s beautiful glass packaging and it’s ceramic ball applicator. That applicator feels so nice under the eyes and it does look as if my eyes are instantly de-puffed. The mask itself is quite hydrating and my eyes do look smooth and plump every morning when I do use it. I’ve had this product for about 8 months now and I tried to be as consistent as possible with using it. I just found myself not reaching for it as much. This does contain fragrance and has a similar scent to their water sleeping mask which I don’t mind since I quite enjoy it. Fortunately, it hasn’t irritated my eye area. I feel very meh towards this eye mask but still enjoy using it from time to time. Overall, it’s a lovely eye mask to help keep your eyes hydrated overnight but it just didn’t feel necessary for me. It’s a nice product to have around but not a staple in any of my routines and therefore I won’t be repurchasing once I’ve completely finished it. If you do purchase this, you’ll get your moneys worth since it’ll last you a while because you get 25ml and a little goes a long way with this. Have you guys tried this yet? If so, any thoughts? Layering Acids in your Routine made EASY!
Every skincare routine should include some targeted ingredients that work to improve your specific skin conditions. These targeted ingredients are known as "actives". There are numerous skincare actives to incorporate and while some may really help your skin, over doing it can actually worsen the condition of your skin. Layering these products need to be done with caution to ensure the barrier of the skin is always protected first! ☆Finding the right actives for your skin concern: -Acne: this is often treated using various AHA or BHA products such as salicylic, lactic, glycolic, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, or azelaic acid -Aging: antioxidant products are a must! Active treatments include Vitamin A and C, as well as glycolic acid -Dryness: hydration from hyaluronic acid and Vitamin E -Oily Skin: use niacinamide, salicylic acid or glycolic acid to help regulate oil production -Dark spots/circles and Uneven Skin Tone: Brightening agents such as Vitamin C, kojic Acid and exfoliation using glycolic acid ☆How to use in your routine: Most active ingredients have exfoliating properties, so using a few times weekly is enough to get the skin benefits while keeping the skin barrier protected. You can incorporate them through a serum, oil, cream or toner formulation. I often prefer a potent serum as it can absorb into the skin quickly. A moisturizer with actives work great for more sensitive skin that can get irritated easily by strong formulas. Oily skin may like a toner that rids the skin of excess oils quickly! Finally, an oil is also a great way to use actives for sensitive or dry skin. *NOTE: Vitamin C, E and Hyaluronic Acid can be used daily in your routine unless irritation occurs. Some examples of my fave actives in different formulas: The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 5% + HA THE inkey LIST - Beta Hydroxy Acid dear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop ISNtree - Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Gel Cream GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner JORDAN SAMUEL skin - Retinol Treatment Oil PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Booster ☆How to layer and combine different actives Now that you have an understanding of what actives are- let's talk about how to combine them! •Hyaluronic acid + ANY- HA is a hydrating ingredient that is naturally occuring in the body. It draws in moisture from the air, so it can be combined with any other active to help hydrate the skin. •Niacinamide + Vitamin A (retinol)- great combo for more sensitive skin but still improves appearance of skin texture and breakouts •Vitamin C + Azelaic Acid- improves efficacy, treats current and post acne breakouts and hyperpigmentation (use one in AM, other PM) •AHA + BHA- more potent combination to improve exfoliation on surface and below surface of skin •Vitamin C + Vitamin E- increases effectiveness for reducing signs of photodamage *all sources listed in comments

Isntree Hyaluranic Acid Toner
ISNtree - Hyaluronic Acid Toner contains 3 different hyaluronic acids with different molecular sizes for quick hydration. It has the viscous consistency like most of the HA toners. Most important, it does not contain any fragrance. I usually have 2 layers of this under my oil serum and cream for hydration. Recently I am trying it as body hydration. My lower leg always has dry chapped skin during winter, and this really help smoothing the skin. I will continue using this on face and body. Thank you Go.picky and Isntree sending this for free in exchange of honest review. I have used it for more than 2 months now. 200ml a bottle retails for $18USD
Gentle yet Effective Korean Toners
I’m sure a lot of you are familiar with Isntree. It’s a Korean brand that is known for gentle but effective skincare products. They are cruelty-free, and they don’t use chemicals or harsh ingredients like alcohol, artificial fragrances or coloring - so it’s should be safe for sensitive skin. I have been using the Fresh Green Tea Toner for more than a month now, while the HA toner for a few days. Here are my thoughts about these two toners: ✨ISNtree - Green Tea Fresh Toner contains 80% of green tea extract, as well as Centella extract, willow bark, blueberry extract and hyaluronic acid. It is light brown in color, has water like texture and smells herbal like a fermented green tea. I love the scent of this and it feels very refreshing! This toner is designed to help with redness, brightening and has anti-aging properties. It absorbs very quickly. Because I have dry skin, it doesn’t provide as much hydration unless I layer it a few times (like an essence). However, I like it mainly because it helps with redness and it has anti-aging benefits. Though, I think someone with oily skin will enjoy it better because it’s lightweight and has sebum control properties. ✨ISNtree - Hyaluronic Acid Toner has 3 types of hyaluronic acid, that penetrates deeper into the skin, and provides intensive hydration. It’s also formulated with beta-glucan and Panthenol. This toner is fluid-y and a tiny bit thick but it absorbs beautifully on the skin without any tackiness and feeling heavy. I love the finish of this toner as it makes my skin soft, smooth and plumped. This is perfect for dry to normal skin type or even dehydrated skin. I have been loving this one so far!

P.m. skincare routine. Suggestions ?
Here is my pm skincare routine. Started to care about my skin couple months ago only. Never had major issues but fine lines are starting to appear and let’s face it, I was bored during quarantine. I wanted to give double cleanse a try but had trouble finding a drugstore cleansing balm. I came across cocokind - Oil to milk cleanser and was pleasantly surprised. Works okay on make up and is gentle with nice ingredients. I wish the gliding would be a bit more smooth though. I can sometimes feel some pulling and tugging. 🌾 I follow with sioris - Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser as I like milky cleansers. This one is fine especially in colder weather but I sometimes feel like its a bit heavy and not deep cleansing enough. I prefer LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser but have run out. 🥛 I then follow with a first essence and a toner. People always say they are not essential in your routine but they’re actually my fave step. Adding soothing and hydrating ingredients without any heavy/greasy texture (I damaged my skin barrier after over exfoliating). I'm from - Mugwort Essence & COSRX - Propolis Synergy Toner are the ones I’m using right now. My skin agrees with both and it calms down any redness or tight feeling after cleansing. 🐝 I wanted to try snail mucin and was missing a small amount for free shipping (I know you feel me) so opted for MIZON - Snail Repair Eye Cream . Haven’t seen any results on the fine lines around my eyes yet as its only been a couple weeks but the texture is amazing and light and silky. 🐌 Once a week I will use THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum . Will step up to two times a week very soon. Just started my retinol journey and almost made the mistake to go with a 1% OTC retinol. Boy am I glad I did some research. This one is 0,05% retinol. Would really like your recommendations for a next step retinol for my next purchase :). I end the routine with CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion . Really love this. It has niacinamide which is nice because I don’t use it in serum form. I have it in my am toner as well and its just enough for me. Would maybe wanna switch up for a heavier moisturizer for winter if you have any suggestions. Cerave is always sold out in drugstores so wanted to try something else when I run out. Please feel free to recommend products you like. I will mention I use I'm from - Honey Mask and dear, klairs - Midnight Blue Calming Cream on nights my skin feel really bothered (like the night after I used the retinol) I adore the mask but will not be repurchasing the klairs cream. Its a bit overpriced and overrated in my opinion. I will gladly pay less for a similar white “less instagramable” cream. Any suggestion for this one as well? 🍯💙
KBEAUTY SAVED MY SKIN🥰
I know tons of people now use Korean skincare products, however it’s been part of my routine for almost 4 years now and I haven’t looked back!☺️ SWIPE 👉🏽 for my raw skin!! Kbeauty is the one line of skincare I think everyone at least needs to try because not only is it affordable but the ingredients are insanely good and formulation is everything ✊🏽 it’s stuff you won’t get here from western brands, and if you do, it’s extremely overly priced When I first got into skincare to help with my acne, on a whim I decided to try a whole Korean line without even knowing. When my skin calmed down from using a line that had nothing to do with claiming to help you acne, I knew I had to do more research! 🥳 this is where I found out more about the kbeauty world and overtime, my collection has grown and these are some of my favourites💕 COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence an amazingly hydrating essence/serum gel that works wonderfully on damp skin kind of like a HA which has helped overall hydrate my skin, keep it plump and not dry it out + helps with any hyperpigmentation (it’s slow but effective) I'm from - Rice Toner another amazing toner that has rice extract and niacinamide added to really help hydrate and soothe the skin and immediately brighten my skin!! This is my go to morning toner and my second bottle because I’m in love!!❤️ THE FACE SHOP - Chia Seed Hydrating Lotion my pm toner snd the line that really started my kbeauty journey and helped completely clear my skin in a couple months! Chia seed is such a powerful ingredient in skincare and in food and my gosh is this hydrating and instantly soothing. I will forever to continue to buy from this line (especially the moisturizer) because I know it works for me all the time! I'm from - Mugwort Essence second bottle and I can never stop talking about it! After hearing about tea tree and it working sometimes for me, I found out about mugwort and how it’s referred to as the Korean tea tree but soothing and way less irritating and my gosh they got this right! One of my all time favourite products! I apply two layers am and pm and my skin instantly feels soothed and relaxed and also helps with any irritation or acne ☺️ COSRX - Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask I use this as a moisturizer during the night and even sometimes in the day! It’s super hydrating without being heavy. It also has some niacinamide for that brightening affect. It sinks right in and leaves your skin feeling moisturized and not greasy and my gosh, this is also wonderful under makeup! Again, kbeauty really knows what they are doing and my gosh, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to just stop using Korean skincare! #cheriepartner

Literal works of art 🎨✨
These are 3 products that I’m obsessing over this past month and that to me are (skincare) works of art!* 1.Aveeno - Restorative Skin Therapy Oat Repairing Cream This is hands down the best body lotion I’ve used. I usually apply this directly to my skin after stepping out of the shower and I’ve never seen a lotion be able to retain as much moisture in my skin before! I highly recommend it! 2. HERBIVORE - Prism 12% AHA + 3% BHA Exfoliating Glow Serum I got this sample size of the Prism serum in a Herbivore set and I’ve been loving it! It’s a blend of AHAs and BHAs yet it still feels quite moisturizing and gentle that I can layer it with different exfoliants. I don’t love the price for the full size so if anyone has any opinions on dupes, comment below! 3. THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm This was a sleeper hit for me, I had to get used to its slightly grainy texture before I fell in love! I love how oily and yet creamy this products when I massage it into my skin and it effectively removes all of my makeup and sunscreen before my second cleanse. And at $10, you can’t beat it! *Renoir approved...probably...😜
another two bite the dust ✌🏻
Two more empties: HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray I’ve already reviewed this toner on my previous post. I like the sprayer aspect but the formula is just meh. Nothing to write home about. I’ll keep the spray bottle to reuse again but probably won’t repurchase this toner in the near future. DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil The smell was a little weird at first, think olive oil, but overall the consistency and the way it felt being massaged into my skin won me over. I loved this product but will not be repurchasing due to the backlash the brand is receiving due to racist comments made by the brand’s creator. As consumers, we are powerful. We have the power to perpetuate wealth for creators. We vote with our wallets. I will not continue to support or buy a brand that has questionable ethics. I have instead chosen to purchase THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm as it’s replacement! Have you tried these products? What do you think? Do ethics play in to which brands you purchase from? Let me know ☺️
Brand spotlight: Neogen
▶️NEOGENLAB - Real Fresh Cleansing Stick Green Tea - winner of the 2017 Teen Vogue Acne Awards and deemed “one of the coolest creations to come out of Korea,” this travel friendly and all in one stick cleanser was formulated with 13 botanical oils to breakdown makeup, sunscreen, and cleanse your skin of all impurities. There are also natural green tea leaves imbedded in the cleansing stick to provide a gentle exfoliation to reveal brighter more even toned skin. I’ve tried stick cleansers in the past and while they were convenient for traveling, they always left a film on my skin and tight afterwards. I had the same reservations about this one but to my surprise, this left my skin feeling hydrated and fresh. I assume it’s because of the oils in the formula but I really enjoyed using this. It lathers nicely and cleanses my skin of everything. ▶️ NEOGENLAB - Real Rerment Micro Essence - one of my all time favorite essences. This hydrating and brightening essence is formulated with 93% naturally fermented ingredients as well as betaine, allantoin, sodium hyaluronate, adenosine, niacinamide, and various amino acids. I forgot how much I loved this essence. Used directly after cleansing, this watery first treatment essence quickly absorbs to restore hydration and prep my skin for the remainder of my routine without any stickiness. There’s also the plumping effect that this gives after 1-2 skins that I love so much. After consistent use, I can easily see my skin looking brighter and more even toned. This is probably one of the more hydrating FTE’s that I’ve tried. ▶️ NEOGENLAB - Real Ferment Micro Serum - the perfect companion for its essence counterpart. This viscous and creamy gel serum delivers a boost of nutrients and antioxidants to the skin with its elegant formula comprised of 61% fermented ingredients as well as niacinamide, adenosine, sodium hyaluronate, centella asiatica, hydrolyzed collagen, ascorbic acid, and vitamin e.This is very moisturizing and it leaves a bit of tacky and dewy finish once it’s absorbed. Upon application, you can see slightly plumper and brighter skin. It layers well with no pilling issues so regardless, you won’t even feel it once you’ve applied something else on top. Over time, I saw noticeably brighter skin that had that felt bouncier and firmer. ▶️NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy Canadian Clay Pore Cleanser - a 2 in 1 detoxifying mask and cleanser that eliminates excess sebum and blackheads while also cleansing the skin of makeup, dead skin cells, and clogged pores. This mask cleansers contains a ton of extracts, micro-particles of natural glacial marine soil, and colloidal clay from West Coast British Columbia, Canada. This has a creamy clay texture that easily spreads onto the skin. After a few minutes of application, the clay begins to foam on the skin to help draw impurities from the pores. Once the foaming has stopped, proceed to massage it into the skin and then rinse with water. I thought this was fun to use but using this everyday left my skin a bit dry. I preferred to use it every few days which was nice to help refresh my skin. ▶️NEOGENLAB - Neogen Dermalogy A-Clear Aid Soothing Spot Patch - these are your typical hydrocolloid acne patches that help absorb excess sebum and secretions from your breakouts while also protecting the area from dirt and bacteria. These come in two sizes which is great for different sized pimples. I always enjoy having acne patches on hand because they help prevent me from picking at my pimples. After I intentionally or accidentally pop my spots, these are great for reducing the size of them overnight.
CREAMS THAT WORK FOR OILY SKIN
BEST $27 I HAVE SPENT 👀 It's a bit on the pricey side but hey, it works as it should! It helped me so much with my oh so sensitive skin, it doesn't irritate at all and the scent is tolerable since it may smell medicine like. I was suffering a little from irritated skin, bumps from previous rashes and just my skin was so dull, it even started to bother me alot how I don't feel so glowy anymore. Tried all these masks but it became a temporary fix unlike this cream which I use everyday as my moisturizer. I use either or depending on my skin conditions 😌 Dr. Althea - Azulene 147HA Intensive Soothing Cream • Soothes your skin • Skin Barrier Enhancement • Moisture Rentention Capacity enhancement If your skin easily becomes dry, acne-prone, or irritated by the outer environment. If you are in demand of a night cream to soothe skin with plenty of nutrients. If you want not only revitalizing effect but also enhancement in moisture retention capacity. Dr.Althea - Resveratrol 345NA_Intensive Repair Cream • Anti-glycation and brightens skin tone • Skin regeneration and elasticity improvement • Relieves acne prone and inflamed skin If your skin is sensitive and delicate to any damage or skin disease. If you are in demand of a night cream to rejuvenate or revitalize the unhealthy skin cell. If you want not only repairing effect but also anti-aging with the improvement on fine lines.
Dr. Althea (Review) 🌱 Hi guys, so today’s post is going to be a review about the Resveratrol 345NA Intensive Repair Cream, that @dr.altheaglobal gifted me. This Intensive Repair Cream carries a few key ingredients: 🌱 Resveratrol: Comes from grape skin, which act’s like an antioxidant (good for anti-aging). 🌱 Niacinamide: (MY FAVORITE) Helps reduce inflammation/soothe acne and prevent new breakouts from developing. 🌱 Fig: Delivers moisture to the skin, while clearing excess oil and dead skin cells. 🌱 Lavender: Can help reduce redness and acne scarring. 🌱 Turmeric: Reduces redness and inflammation from acne, and helps to even out skin discoloration. The MAIN benefits to this cream is that is targets fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin cell turnover and improves your skin’s elasticity. On top of that, this cream is GREAT for those with acne-prone/sensitive skin (like me) as it does an amazing job at soothing my acne and my irritated skin. This cream is packed with other wonderful ingredients such as: 🌱 Algae Extract: Great for drawing toxins out of the skin. 🌱 Centella Asiatica Extract: A great hydrating ingredient that soothes sensitive/compromised skin. 🌱 Squalane: Natural skin oil, hydrates the skin while controlling oil production. 🌱 Hyaluronic Acid: Cult fav ingredient for hydration. The texture of this cream is more of a thick gel consistency, which I LOVE. I have combo/more so dry skin and noticed lotions/creams both just don’t agree with my skin, gel-like formulas work the best for me! I am so happy I was introduced to this brand, I am super excited to try out more as I was very satisfied by this repair cream. I definitely plan purchasing another once this first tube finishes.🥰 ___________________________________ *gifted/PR but opinion always my own

My skincare journey
The 1st 2 photos were from summer of 2020 & the 3rd photo was taken today. I’ve come such a long way with my skincare journey and I am honestly so proud of myself. The pandemic has been so tough for everyone especially on their mental health. I am usually very quiet about my mental health issues but I had to speak up about it and how it affected everything in my life. Staying cooped up at home every day took a toll on my mental health all together & it hit an all time low when I was sexually assaulted last yr in May. I let myself go and lost control of everything such as my sleep, skincare, diet & social life. It got to a point where I started losing clumps of my hair in the shower & I want everyone out there to know that it gets better. Im nowhere close to feeling my best but looking back, I’ve made such a huge difference. My skin got so bad to a point where I hated seeing people and applying makeup just made it worse and cakey. I researched a bunch of products & used everything on my face at the same time which caused my skin to react poorly and flare up. It was red & covered in pimples & whiteheads. At this point I believed that, okay I do not feel beautiful and compared myself to every other woman. Its so important to know that a few pimples or marks doesn’t make you any less beautiful. Everyone’s journey is so different and patience and time can fix it. I can explain and link the products I used, Retinol THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum So I initially used this every single night along with Niacinamide and oh man, I wish I hadn’t. I didn’t know that you were supposed to build tolerance to it. So I started using it once a week & then slowly switched to using it every other day. My skin actually started feeling a bit better. Niacinamide The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% So I read a couple of articles about WOC talking about how this product didn’t exactly suit their skin & once I started using it I noticed it never really made any difference to my skin & found it to sting a little. I still want to give it a chance so I use a tiny bit & I noticed there’s no stinging. So I might’ve been using too much for it to do that. Facial cleanser CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I switched from cetaphil to CeraVe and I am so happy that I did. Whats weird is this cleanser made me realize that I don’t have oily skin (I’m not sure how this happened but if anyone knows, please help me out here) Moisturizer LANEIGE - Water Bank Moisture Cream Okay so I know a lot of people might not be too happy with this product since it contains fragrance but after trying so many different types of moisturizers, this is the only one that really made a difference on my skin 🥺 I am not trying to get you to buy these products. These are just things that worked for me and it took a lot of time. Listen to your skin & do what works best for you. You are so so beautiful 💕
I am a huge skincare lover and love to try out ingredients and brands. Check out my collection and my favourite brands and products. Favourite brands: Versed: this is a brand that I have tried many products and they have worked well for me. This is a drug store brand that is mid range. It is cruelty free and eco conscience, going so far as to state the percentage of usage of recycled material and having recycling instructions on their website. My holy grails are VERSED - PHOTOS, PLEASE BRIGHTENING TIGHTENING MASK and VERSED - Doctor's Visit The ordinary: this is a great brand as it is super affordable and it’s cruelty free. The way I like to benefit from this brand is to try out ingredients to see what works for my skin, their serums are my favourite. My holy grail is The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% The Inkey lists: this brand is similar to the ordinary but I think some of their formulas are better. They focus on ingredients that allow me to find the best ingredients for my skin, they are also cruelty free. My holy grail isFIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration Glossier: this is a brand started by a beauty editor and are all very aesthetically pleasing and gentle on the skin (cruelty free). My holy grail is Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser Paula’s Choice: this is a great brand that is science driven (cruelty free). My holy grail isPAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 Pyunkang Yul: this is a K-beauty brand that started in a medical clinic and focus on short ingredient lists. My holy grail isPyunkang Yul - Essence Toner Pixi: this is an English brand that has lots of products and lines to target different issues (cruelty free). My holy grail is pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist The body shop: the body shop is a very established brand that has tons of products (cruelty free), I love their masks in particular. My holy grail isTHE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Face Mask Niod: this brand has the same parent company as the ordinary but it is the more expensive and technologically advanced. Review: Biossance Cleansing Oil 🌱
It’s amazing!!! I love it! 🌱super thin, almost water-like texture! Feels so good on the skin and has a light scent. Made with a mixture of 8 plant derived plant oils. Effectively removes makeup and sunscreen from the day! 🗣 rub into dry skin using dry hands, then add a small amount of water to emulsify before washing off. Finish with a second cleanse using a gel or cream cleanser 💰$30 for 6.8oz- it’s pricey but worth it!! 🙌 I will definitely repurchase
íUNIK-Centella Calming Gel Cream
Here’s a round up of a few K Beauty things I’ve been playing with... . ▪️Skin Food Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Toner—A creamy almost emulsion more than toner with propolis, royal jelly, honey, lactobacillus & yeast. I love that it’s not heavily scented but I’m not a huge emulsion style fan so I wasn’t into it ▪️Whamisa Organic Deep Rich Toner—Love this thicker hydrating essence style toner. Aloe, galactomyces, oat kernel, avocado oil, glycerin, peony and broccoli to name a few. This stuff is amazing. This is not my first bottle. Hall of fame ▪️CosRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser—Jelly gel style simple gentle cleanser with a low pH. It’s affordable and a pretty good one. Non-drying and fragrance free. I would totally repurchase ▪️Klairs Supple Preparation Toner—Aloe, sodium hyaluronate, gotu kola, beta-glucan, panthenol & purslane. I liked this one. Got some EOs but they do have a fragrance free version as well ▪️Manyo Factory Galactomyces Special Treatment Essence Cream Rich—I love this brand. They’re pretty clean for k beauty and have a really good range. Easily one of my fav k beauty brands. This cream was so lush I loved it. Sadly it’s taken off the site so it’s either gone or being reformulated. I order direct from their website as they have the full range ▪️CosRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask—I wanted to love this. It’s a gel with propolis (87% antibacterial & anti-inflammatory), sodium hyaluronate & adenosine. It’s light so it’s not the most hydrating sleeping mask I’d probably just use a propolis serum instead and get the same effect ▪️IUINK Centella Calming Gel Cream—A gel cream with soothing gotu kola water & tea tree water. It’s fragrance free which I love. It’s nice and I’ll use it up but I think I’ll just go serum route next time for my gotu kola. Personal preference is all ▪️IUNIK Propolis Vitamin Sleeping Mask—A bit thicker and more of a creamy gel than the CosRX with propolis (16%), sea buckthorn fruit (8%), gotu kola (5%), niacinimide, beta glucan & purslane. This one is more hydrating. Has a bit of that silicone texture. It’s was OK but not my favorite sleeping mask ever
COSRX- Ultimate Moisturizing Honey, Overnight Mask
Krave Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser & Kale-Lalu-yAHA 🌿 This jelly textured cleanser is a joy to use. It’s never drying nor strips the skin. I end up with skin that’s clean, hydrated and soft. This cleanser contains antioxidant powerhouse matcha. Matcha is a form of green tea with an exponential number of antioxidants like polyphenols such as EGCG in comparison to regular green tea. The green tea plants are grown in the shade for a few weeks prior to processing which increases the chlorophyll levels 🍵 This cleanser is perfect if you want a gentle cleanser packed full of antioxidants that won’t dry your skin out. The texture is just plain fun！ I love acid toners as I prefer chemical exfoliation. Kale-Lalu-yAHA uses 5.25% glycolic acid to gently yet effectively exfoliate the skin. I love that this acid toner also contains antioxidant packed dark leafy greens like kale, spinach and parsley. It’s well rounded as it’s combined with soothers and hydrators like hyaluronic acid, aloe, allantoin and B5. There’s a few extras like chlorella minutissima extract (an antioxidant packed algae) & malachite extract—a powerful antioxidant that seeks out free radicals。 Kale-Lalu-yAHA has become my all time favorite acid toner (besides P50) for its ability to be effective and gentle at the same time！
First Impressions: Krave Beauty 🌊
I’ve been wanting to try out this brand for so long because not only did read wonders about its formulations and ingredients but also because of their mission and stance on environmental sustainability 🌱 💡About the Brand: The focus for the brand was to simplify your skin care routine to the essentials and to repair of your skin’s natural barrier function. Alongside simplifying the skin care routine, the company stands for the reduction of overconsumption. For example: using up your products before restocking- this process will help consumers to purchase products less frequently, thus reducing waste and mass production. ❗️ Krave Beauty has 6 products categorized into either core (cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen) or supplement (toner, serum) ✅ The Products: Krave - Oat So Simple Water Cream Creamy. Light. Nourishing. Plumpness. I have normal skin leaning toward oily in the summer. When I look for moisturizers I’m not one to look for extra extra light ones. THIS ONE is a good medium between light and heavy. It makes me feel hydrated long after applied. Krave - Great Barrier Relief First thought was - hmm this smells different. I can’t really put my finger on it BUT I don’t think it’s a bad smell. And once you work it in, the smell dissipates. It’s a light weight creamy serum that easily sinks into your skin. I bought this because Liah claims that the Tamanu Oil in the serum will help with scarring and hyperpigmentation. I’m excited to test this out long term and see if my scars fade away! Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser Amazing soft scent. I definitely notice the oat and matcha (since I consume those often 😂). The cleanser is gentle and lightly foams when you work it in. I let my face dry afterwards and sat with it for about 15 minutes and I did not feel dryness AT ALL. 💭 Overall Thoughts: As for a first impression, I don’t think I have any bad things to say about it tbh. No Fragrance. Nourishing Ingredients. Suitable for all skin types. IM A FAN 🤩 I’ll have to check in in a couple of months to give an updated review.
