Nice but unnecessary
Have you ever bought a product just because of how pretty the packaging was? And that you convinced yourself that you really needed it? Well, for me, that was the LANEIGE - Eye Sleeping Mask

It’s Just Okay...
Hi everyone! Hope you’re all well! Today I’m here to talk about an underwhelming product unfortunately. I purchased the LANEIGE - Eye Sleeping Mask because I read great reviews about it back in the fall/winter. It promised to depuff and hydrate tired dry eyes. That was exactly what I needed since in the cooler months my skin gets a bit dry and I notice a bit of fine lines under my eyes. First time trying it I was excited! The packaging is beautiful. It’s a heavy glass bottle so it feels luxurious to hold. The applicator was really cool against the skin and it felt calming around the area. The smell was very light and kinda of herbal. The product itself was very light almost watery but hydrating at first but when it absorbed into my skin it didn’t feel exactly hydrating and left a little sticky residue behind. It didn’t really bother me. I used it for about two weeks and I noticed I started developing milia around my eye area. Now normal I never had milia or any sort of irritation from the eye products I’ve tried in the past so this was a bit upsetting. I stopped using it soon after. So for the two weeks that I used the product I can’t say it gave me any results. My eyes were still puffy and I can’t say it hydrated my eye area. Some mornings the area felt dehydrated or maybe it was the sticky residue that settled and dried up. Maybe if you use it longer you’d see better results but if you’re prone to milia I’d skip this product.
Products That Put The "Beauty" In Beauty Sleep
😴🌙 Bedtime stories. Laneige gifted me their Eye Sleeping Mask & Lavender Water Sleeping Mask and I've been enjoying them so much. Both products have a very light texture and they give you an 𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒔𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒉𝒚𝒅𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 💦 to your parched skin. I especially love the Eye Sleeping Mask's ceramic ball applicator which makes it so easy and gentle to use. And the Water Sleeping Mask's airy lavender scent helps me to relax right before drifting away to dreamland. Zzz. LANEIGE - Lavender Water Sleeping Mask LANEIGE - Eye Sleeping Mask

My lips are one of my favorite features of my face and I always take pride in how well I take care of them and how they look.I purchased this in hope of finding lip scrub that makes my lips look brand new and I finally did! This lip scrub exfoliates my lips leaving it plumped, pink and soft.It also leaves a lovely taste of vanilla and coconut on my lips. Some things in skincare layering are straightforward...cleanse then tone. Always wear sunscreen. You know, the basics! When it comes to layering oils into your routine though, the message is all mixed up. “Oil then moisturizer” “NO moisturizer then oil” “NO mix them together” Scrolling through the internet it’s easy to get confused about how oils fit into your routine because everyone is giving a different answer. Ok so really, what’s the best way to add an oil?! The answer...all these people are right because it completely depends on your products and goals! Here are the benefits of each method and why they’re useful: 1) moisturizer then oil Oil is an occlusive meaning it acts as a barrier. When you apply moisturizer first, the oil traps the hydrating ingredients in the moisturizer on your skin, allowing them to sink into your face rather than evaporating. This is especially the case for drier skin. If your oils are heavier, this option is also good because heavy oils can prevent moisturizer from absorbing at all if they go underneath. Oils are persistent so given time, they’ll work their way through your other products and into your skin no matter where in your lineup they are! Personally, this is the way I go most of the time. 2) oil then moisturizer Scientifically, oils are always heavier than moisturizers which would mean option 1 always wins, but for some people or products, this can be the more effective routine. Sometimes, your moisturizer has more occlusives in it (think ceramides, silicones etc) and you have a really lightweight oil or one with more active ingredients in it. In this case, putting the oil first can allow it to really sink into your skin before adding more hydration on top, especially if you give it a few minutes. Oilier skin types can also benefit from this approach 3) mix them together Moisturizers are already a mix of oil and water, so consider mixing them together in your hands before application like making a customized, enhanced moisturizer. You can add more or less oil depending on your skin needs, and apply more or less of it to different parts of your face as needed. Plus, if you’re feeling lazy, this cuts out a step without really cutting out the benefits of using both oil and moisturizer. When I’m rushing out the door or into bed, you best believe this is my method. At the end of the day, it’s really about finding what order works best for your skin and products so don’t be afraid to experiment! Where do you stand in the great oil/moisturizer layering debate?
This after-sun spray is useless 🥴
This spray is designed to apply to your skin after tanning or spending some time in the sun! It is supposed to soothe and moisturize your skin. I was hoping that this product could provide a little extra moisture to my skin, but I haven’t noticed any difference. The spray has the consistency of water, and doesn’t really have a smell. I really don’t think this spray does anything! At $42, I definitely do not recommend this spray.
THE LYFESTYLE CO-Beach Mist
$32 rose water mist- worth it or?? 🌹🥀
I got this spray in an Herbivore travel set. It is super cute and looks great on my shelf, and I love the glass packaging as well. However, I do not think it is worth the $32 for the full size. It smells very nice and the mist is very gentle, but I do not see what makes this different from any other rosewater spray I’ve used. It’s cute, but that’s about it! I will definitely be saving the packaging though, I love how they me their packaging more sustainable.

Eco-Friendly Makeup Remover Pads
With all the skincare and makeup, it’s just as important to think about the removal process. I’ve become aware of how many cotton rounds/pads I had been using and I didn’t like that, and that’s why I made the switch to reusable. With reusable pads I wanted to support local (especially during Covid-19) and have them be eco-friendly. I came across this company by pure chance and I’m so glad I did. This package contains only natural ingredients, no plastic! It comes with cleansing gloves, makeup remover cloths, 100% organic reusable makeup remover pads, headband, and an organic cotton laundry bag. The makeup remover pads are made from organic cotton and SO soft! It’s unbelievable how soft they are. I’m so glad I made the switch from single-use disposable cotton pads. This package is from the brand Uppwell ♻️💚 https://uppwell.com
