5 Toners for Every Dry Skin Personality
1. Dry and acne-prone looking for firmer skin. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution Not a toner for the weak and sensitive, TO’s Glycolic Acid Toner is a great option if you want to seriously minimize pores, reduce acne and brighten skin. My skin personally feels sensitized when I use it in the AM so be sure to layer extra SPF if you are a daytime wearer. I prefer this in a PM routine when I want to take a break from other actives/acids. 2. Dry and looking for soft, dewy skin. I'm from - Rice Toner I love this toner when I want soft, supple skin. It leaves an appropriate layer of hydrating shine on my face when I want that quick “glass” skin look. Keeps my skin feeling dewy for a few hours so I will reapply in the afternoon when I feel dried out again. Because the ingredients are mostly humectants, I love layering it under serums that contain a lot of actives like Vit C and retinol! 3. Dry and struggling with dullness. GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner This is a true ingredient-minded toner and my absolute favorite way of sneaking niacinamide into my skincare routine. This toner really acts as a 3 in 1 package with niacinamide, vit C and arbutin. I use this in the AM and PM, under both acidic and milder serums. May be too sensitizing for some. It’s an appropriate amount of hydrating, which I appreciate! 4. Dry and wanting a toner that acts as a lotion. ROVECTIN - Rovectin Skin Essentials Activating Treatment Lotion This toner claims to have 7 different types of hylauronic acid, kind of like Hado Labo’s toner lotion. I like that it’s scent-free but it definitely lacks a wow factor. I would only recommend if you’re looking for a two step routine with “toner” and an additional moisturizer only. 5. Dry and looking for a toner to layer under makeup/serums. dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Facial Toner This was my go-to toner for years. Faintly lavender-scented, this toner is hydrating and not intense at all. It’s great for layering under actives and makeup.
AMOREPACIFIC Botanical Soothing Toner
➤ ⠀ 𝑰𝑵 𝑻𝑯𝑰𝑺 𝑺𝑯𝑶𝑻: 🌿 @amorepacific_us Botanical Soothing Toner 🌱 It is a hydrating toner for all skin types. 🌱 It is formulated with bamboo sap, hyaluronic acid and features their Dew Comforting™ Formula which contains a high amount of panthenol that helps to soothe and moisturize while helping to strengthen the skin's moisture barrier. 🌱 The texture is a clear light gel which spreads like an ampoule before absorbing completely, and smells slightly of something botanical, but “clean” and fresh. 🌱 It does not feel sticky or tacky on application and leaves a beautiful glow after it dries. 🌱 Overall, my skin felt very hydrated after using this. I love Mandelic acid with a passion. It's the gentlest of AHAs, exfoliating effectively without causing undue irritation or dryness. Wishtrend Mandelic acid 5% skin prep water I really really love this. I use this right after cleansing as my first toning step. It's gentle enough to use every night. It's not a strong exfoliant, but it gives my skin more smoothness and a bit more of a glow when used consistently. The texture is light and watery. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and fresh (instead of dried out and taut like some other exfoliating toners I've tried). I highly recommend this if you're just starting to look into acids and want to start with something gentle. And it's wonderful for using on off days between slightly stronger treatments. I think wishtrend really knocked it out of the park with this one!
Sensitive Skin Toner - Klairs Toner
Sensitive Skin Toner - Klairs Supple Preparation Unscented Toner This Klairs toner has been an absolute delight to use for the past few weeks. The toner is formulated with botanical extracts to balance pH, and lipidure and beta-glucan to provide deep hydration to prepare the skin for the products to follow. I also love how it is unscented and contains no essential oils that could freak my sensitive skin out or break me out. At Klairs they believe in simple skincare that has the most minimal amount of products in it, so this toner has been perfect for my sensitive, dehydrated skin! The texture feels sort of like a thicker version of water, if that makes sense. I have been using this product for a few weeks after it was sent to me by Reissue to test out some products for dry, sensitive skin. As soon as I apply this toner to my face it literally feels like my skin is drinking it up. It has such a rich thick texture that feels cooling and just glides over the skin! It’s unlike any other toner I have tried. I notice the biggest difference in the look and feel of my skin when I’m using this toner. My skin feels less tight, and it even has a brighter glow to it as it is hydrating my skin and also boosting the efficiency of the other products in my routine. Although this was gifted, at around $15 a bottle I will always repurchase this. This price point is unbeatable, especially since I find myself reaching for this toner before I reach for more expensive, high end toners.
Glow While Protecting Against The Sun
Dr. Jart+ - Every Sun Day Sun Fluid SPF 50+ I bought this product last year when I went to Seoul. Before that, I didn’t know that Dr. Jart is a Korean brand; I thought it was Western because of its branding, packaging, and the way they market it. This is definitely my favourite sunscreen. It just feels so light on my skin, unlike regular sunscreens that feel super thick and heavy. It has SPF 50 so I trust it to shield my face and neck against the harmful rays of the sun. I think it’s a great makeup base too. Sometimes I like to mix my foundation with this sunscreen to make it easier to apply on my face. This product has a water-like consistency, very fluid, and light. It glides on very easily on the face. And the bonus part is, it makes my skin glow. I don’t know what’s in this product that does that but when I wear this, it’s like I have a highlighter on all over my face - in a good way. Overall, I love love love this product. It doesn’t irritate my skin nor does it give me pimples or anything.

Love this shit!
Hada labo gokujyun lotion is one of my favorite hydrating products ever!! It’s marketed as a hydrating toner but I’d say it’s more of an essence or even a serum because of how rich it is. It plumps your skin and leaves a beautiful glow. It deeply hydrated and nourishes without ever feeling sticky or greasy. It’s a cult favorite for a reason! I first tried this in late March and am now on my 2nd bottle!! I use this either right after washing my face or after an exfoliating toner. It works really well for me and plays well with my other products. Even though one layer of this is hydrating enough, I find that I can layer it without it getting sticky. I use this literally every night and I love it! It’s really helped with the dryness that accompanies accutane and this cold weather. The texture is like a watery gel that’s slightly runny. This is a lot thicker than other hydrating toners I’ve used but not in a bad way. I tend to have to layer other toners to get the hydration I need, but with this one layer is enough. I purchased this for about $13 😮 That’s crazy affordable!!! This is such a good deal for an amazing product. 5/5 ⭐️
Gentle exfoliating water
I’m all about exfoliation. I think it’s one of the best ways to treat a lot of skin concerns such as dark spots, acne, hyperpigmentation, texture and much more. However, not all exfoliators are made the same, and not all of them are for everyone. If you’re just starting out with exfoliators, or you have sensitive skin, it is highly encouraged that you go with a gentle, soothing exfoliator, such as this one for example! This is @klairs.global Daily Skin Softening Water. It is a gentle exfoliator that also hydrated and refreshes the skin. Because of how gentle it is, it can be used daily (like the name suggests). The ingredients list is short and made up of great stuff such as cucumber water, apple water, and sugarcane extract. I’ve used this water on and off for a month, and in the end, I gotta say, I love it! I like my exfoliators stronger, but I still enjoy this water whenever I wanna give my skin a break. It makes my skin feel really soft, hydrated and supple. If your looking for something to help with your texture, I think this is a great product; it won’t work overnight, maybe not over a week because how gentle it is, but it will work. . . . . gifteddear, klairs - Daily Skin Softening Water #cheriecreator
