UPDATE: I Quit Differin
This is a long overdue skincare update but I have quit Differin because it started to strip my skin barrier, and I kept breaking out even after applying the gel.
LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel -Iām about to run out of this cleanser and Iām thinking about replacing it with a more moisturizing cleanser from the same brand. This cleanser is excellent but I wish it was a bit more effective
PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator -This has been a little too gentle on my skin so I wasnāt able to experience a huge difference after using this product
The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 5% + HA -This serum is gentle on my skin and I have noticed an improvement in my skinās tone
VERSED - DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream -I came back to this moisturizer to give it a second chance and Iāve come to the conclusion that it is better for people with very oily skin and I have combination skin
PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ -This product is a chefās kiss. It is gentle, hydrating, and very effective at protecting your skin from the sun
I am still breaking out but Iām not sure which route to take. Iāve been exfoliating quite a lot and Iām thinking about going the other path and restoring the hell out of my skin. Any recommendations to restore my skinās barrier and to increase collagen as well as clearing out my pimples and acne scars would be much appreciated!
Hoonychang
So I thought I would do a skin update. All the products Iāve been using have been tagged in the first photo. Iāve started this new regime a while back when my acne got really bad after I tried oil cleansing. And itās been a long and difficult road since then and I noticed my skins needs have changed a little bit so I decided to update my routine. I have combination skin and the skin on my forehead is really dry and so is the area around my mouth but my nose and my cheeks are super oily. So Iāve decided to start usingThe Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5to help combat this as well as The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oilto further hydrate my skin. I also need a new sunscreen because I wasnāt a fan of the Neutrogena ultra sheer. The sunscreen would take a really long time to rub it in and if I got the sunscreen on my eyebrows or any of my hair it would turn white and flake, which wasnāt fun. So Iāve decided to try the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30. Iāve also started icing my face recently and Iāve noticed that it helps reduce inflammation from acne. And Iāve also noticed that my facial features have become a little bit more defined but only when I ice my face consistently. While I donāt have much acne around my cheeks anymore, iāve noticed that I keep getting acne in my upper lip area in the same spots. Although I still donāt know exactly whatās causing this acne I did read that certain toothpaste can contain sodium lauryl sulfate, which can clog pores if you get toothpaste on your skin. So Iāve become hyper aware of toothpaste getting on my skin when I brush my teeth now but I havenāt been paying attention long enough to notice a difference yet. And because of the consistent acne around my lips I have hyper pigmentation and that area is kind of getting dark now. Iām using vitamin C and Azelic acid to treat the hyper pigmentation but Iām not seeing results as fast as I would like. Does anyone know of a way to get faster results or how to treat it more effectively?

CeraVe Facial Mosituriser: Sunscreen and Lotion!
Hey Beautyās šš½āāļø
I started using CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin four weeks ago. I needed a new day cream as I had completed a 3 month trial using Auquest 5 Second Wrinkle Cream. I posted my results in January so if you want to know more check out my previous post. āŗļø
CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin was highly recommended here so, Cherie š made me buy it! Although itās for normal to dry skin, it also works well for people with skin conditions, like psoriasis. I suffer from psoriasis. š I have combination skin which is more on the oily side but I really wanted to give CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin a try as itās recommended by dermatologists.
CeraVe was developed by dermatologists and uses a patented formulation to protect the skin barrier. The Company call the formulation, Multivesicular Emulsion Technology. Itās ensures CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin will be time released throughout the day for complete hydration. It also uses three different ceramides which help retain water š§ and strengthen and repair the skin barrier.
My thoughts š
š§āāļø Itās fragrance free, no parabens and non-comedogenic (doesnāt clog pores), ā
which is great since I have larger than average pores š
š§āāļø CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin has an SPF 15 with broad spectrum protection and can be classed as a secondary sunscreen in Australia. An SPF15 can block 93.3% of UVR compared to SPF30 which blocks 97%. So technically I feel I could use it as my sunscreen but, because Iām 45, I like to apply an SPF30. āŗļø
š§āāļø It has a nice lightweight texture and easily absorbs into your skin. I didnāt purge when I added it to my day routine! šš½šš½šš½šš½šš½
š§āāļø My skin loves this cream, it feels smoother and softer and it keeps my skin hydrated š¦ all day.
š§āāļø It retails for $22 in Australia š¦šŗ I love the price point!
Although Iāve only been using it for a month, Iām giving CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin 4 stars!!!! Itās ticked a lot of boxes for me but as itās only my initial review I didnāt want to give it too much Kudos. Iām loving it and feel a little sad as I have a new GLOW RECIPE - Banana SoufflĆ© Moisture Creamthat Iād like to trial after the CeraVe. But, I donāt really want to swap it out. ššš I guess thatās the Dilemma of being a Creator. I donāt always keep using whatās working because I like to review new products. š
Let me know if you tried the CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin and if it worked for you. Iād love to hear from you.
Have a wonderful day!

Skin Journey
Just wanted to share my journey struggling with acne. Growing up I had perfect clear skin, no acne whatsoever, was comfortable going in public with no makeup on and I had a perfect complexion until I graduated high school and I started breaking out. I used to call it, puberty but backwards lol.
I tried everything and nothing worked on me. I even tried changing my diet and stopped eating dairy and meat all in one but still, nothing changed. I even drank more water and that didnāt do anything either.
I started watching Dr. Dray on YouTube about a couple years ago and I feel like sheās changed my routine. She says less is more and I swear by that.
Remember: what works for me may not work for you.
My skin is no where near perfect, but Iām extremely happy with how far Iāve come š¤
Morning Routine:
- (I try to wash my face once a day. Usually wash with only water in the morning)
ļæ¼Sometimes I use Panoxyl if Iām breaking out.
ļæ¼COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence (On damp skin)
ļæ¼The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid Serum
ļæ¼ The Ordinary Azelaic Acid
ļæ¼Neutrogena - Sensitive Skin Oil-Free Moisture
ļæ¼CeraVe - Face Sheer Tint Hydrating Sunscreen SPF 30
Night Time Routine:
ļæ¼CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser
ļæ¼COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
ļæ¼The Ordinary Niacinamide and Zinc
ļæ¼CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum
ļæ¼CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin
When I first started my skincare journey, I mainly started out small using cleanser, moisturizer and SPF then slowly incorporated these serums into my routine. I started using products with no fragrance in them and I feel like that helped my skin out a lot.
Also, I highly recommend watching Dr. Dray on YouTube!

Literal works of art šØāØ
These are 3 products that Iām obsessing over this past month and that to me are (skincare) works of art!*
1.Aveeno - Restorative Skin Therapy Oat Repairing Cream This is hands down the best body lotion Iāve used. I usually apply this directly to my skin after stepping out of the shower and Iāve never seen a lotion be able to retain as much moisture in my skin before! I highly recommend it!
2. HERBIVORE - Prism 12% AHA + 3% BHA Exfoliating Glow Serum I got this sample size of the Prism serum in a Herbivore set and Iāve been loving it! Itās a blend of AHAs and BHAs yet it still feels quite moisturizing and gentle that I can layer it with different exfoliants. I donāt love the price for the full size so if anyone has any opinions on dupes, comment below!
3. THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm This was a sleeper hit for me, I had to get used to its slightly grainy texture before I fell in love! I love how oily and yet creamy this products when I massage it into my skin and it effectively removes all of my makeup and sunscreen before my second cleanse. And at $10, you canāt beat it!
*Renoir approved...probably...š

another two bite the dust āš»
Two more empties:
HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray
Iāve already reviewed this toner on my previous post. I like the sprayer aspect but the formula is just meh. Nothing to write home about. Iāll keep the spray bottle to reuse again but probably wonāt repurchase this toner in the near future.
DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil
The smell was a little weird at first, think olive oil, but overall the consistency and the way it felt being massaged into my skin won me over. I loved this product but will not be repurchasing due to the backlash the brand is receiving due to racist comments made by the brandās creator. As consumers, we are powerful. We have the power to perpetuate wealth for creators. We vote with our wallets. I will not continue to support or buy a brand that has questionable ethics. I have instead chosen to purchase THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm as itās replacement!
Have you tried these products?
What do you think?
Do ethics play in to which brands you purchase from?

Simplified My Skincare Routine
This is the best my skin has looked I think ever! My boyfriend actually commented on how good it looks (he doesnāt notice things like that).
My skin looks brighter, my dark sports are less noticeable, I have less acne on my chin line, and the texture on my forehead is basically gone now.
Hereās my routine:
AM:
Sometimes I cleanse in the morning. When I do I use:Aveeno - Calm + Restore Nourishing Oat Facial Cleanser
I then use:
Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum
I recently started using this and it has made a WORLD of difference
After vitamin C it is super import to use a sunscreen. Iāve been using:
Krave - The Beet Shield
PM:
If I have done a workout or had work (12hr shift in the ER) I use:
SMACNE - Acne Treatment 30 Day Kit
If I have had an easy day I cleanse with the Aveeno mentioned above.
Next I put on:
e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream - Fragrance Free then Iām all done!
My review of the products:
e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream - Fragrance Free Iām not in love with this moisturizer but it gets the job done and is not crazy expensive. Put your recommendations below:)
Krave - The Beet Shield
I like this sunscreen it doesnāt leave a white cast and does not have a strong fragrance. It is a little oily which works for me during the winter but if you have very oily skin you might want to stay away. I gave it 4 stars because even though I like it, it is pretty expensive especially for the small package you get.
SMACNE - Acne Treatment 30 Day Kit This has got be to where I am today! Look at my previous review to see how much it helped me. I canāt seem to completely get rid of it. It started becoming irritating to my skin during the winter months so I only use the cleanser 3-4 times a week and the treatment as a spot treatment on occasion. I would highly recommend to someone struggling with acne
Aveeno - Calm + Restore Nourishing Oat Facial Cleanser have been really enjoy this cleanser for a light clean (I donāt wear makeup)
Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum LOVE LOVE LOVE this is the only new thing I have added to my routine and it has made such a difference!!! Even my boyfriend has noticed how wonderful my skin looks and I my diet has no changed if anything itās gotten worse. (These changes are after 2-3 weeks)

Krave Beauty; My Review
Over I wasnāt very impressed. These products are pricey and although I appreciate their mission the products donāt speak for themselves. I tried everything for a little over a month so I could really see how their products work with my skin and over all I didnāt notice much difference besides an increase in acne along my chin line and more texture on my forehead. I did have one day during the month where my skin was flawless and I thought these products were amazing but it quickly faded.
Krave - Kale-Lalu-yAHA
I donāt hate this toner. I just did not notice a positive difference in my skin with it.
Krave - Great Barrier Relief
Good texture, a little oily but that goes away somewhat quickly
Krave - The Beet Shield
Best sunscreen Iāve tried so far. It does not leave a white cast and does not have a strong scent. It is on the oilier side but my skin tends to be dry so it works well for me. I included a picture of what it looks like on my hand before absorbing for reference. The main reason I only gave it 4 stars is the price for how much you get. It is a small container. I am going to continue to use this sunscreen until I run out and then will be looking for a cheaper option.

I can finally give this an actual review as itās been more than 2 months of me using it. I can say that it has visibly brightened my skin, especially my cheeks & around the mouth. It is really gentle and it doesnāt leave skin feeling dry or uncomfortable. When I need some extra care with acne (hormonal mainly or stress related) I mix 2 pumps of this with one spritz of the Cocokind Raspberry Vinegar Toner.

šTrust Me! You Can't Miss Them in Sephorašš»šš»šš»
I'd like to share with you some of the products I've purchased from Sephora.I have combination-dry and sensitive skin. The skin on my cheeks is especially fragile with visible blood vessel dilation, but I have a normal T-zone which only gets occasionally oily. So, I always choose skincare products which are lightweight, moisturizing, non-greasy and spread easily. They should be scent-free,colorant-free, essential oil-free, metal-free, etc.
THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serum
This is a fragrance-free, essential oil-free hyaluronic acid serum which is not particularly thin in texture but it is lightweight and moisturizing. It neither balls-up nor irritates my skin, and it's really cheap too. I highly recommend this serum.
BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Omega Repair Cream
It has a frosty, soft and delicate texture which spreads easily. It is moisturizing, non-greasy and is easily absorbed. Its ingredients include squalane, glycerin, omega fatty acids, shea butter, skin-friendly hyaluronic acid, and ceramides. These promotional ingredients are actually listed as the first two rows of the ingredient list. It is moisturizing and nourishing, and it repairs the skin barrier. Also fragrance-free and essential oil-free, it is suitable for dry skin. However, the moisturizer from the same series contains ginger extract which is not very sensitive skin-friendly.
boscia - Purifying Cleansing Gel
The ingredient list shows that it's fragrance-free and essential oil-free. It creates a soft and rich foam which washes off easily and doesn't leave your skin feeling dry. I've never used a cleansing product that feels better on the skin.
CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm
It is suitable for sensitive and dry skin because it is fragrance-free, preservative-free, and essential oil-free. Ranking second on the ingredient list is safflower seed oil, which nourishes our skin and doesn't damage the stratum corneumwhen removing makeup. I personally think that this cleansing balm is the best facial cleanser for sensitive skin.
DRUNK ELEPHANT - Shaba Complex Firming Eye Serum
This eye cream contains plant extracts, and although it is not a common fragrance which irritates the skin, those with sensitive skin should still be aware of it. Its main featured ingredient is peptide. It's actually very moisturizing and hydrating, but it is also relatively more expensive.
If you have used any of these products, share your experience! If you have any question, feel free to let me know. šµšµšµ

My 7 Skin Method Products:
**If your not sure what the 7-skin method is refer to my Korean 7-Skin Method post**
BIODERMA - SensibioTonique
pixi - Glow Tonic
I just started using these but so far so good!!
Bioderma is amazing my skin loves it...and this tonic can be used by sensitive types it is super gentle, lightweight and absorbs easily!!
It contains water + Glycerin (a humectant) so you are definitely getting hydration from this product. Iām sure this product is going to stick around for a while!!
The Pixi toner has 5%glycolic acid...I know it may seem harsh but itās pretty gentle on my oily dehydrated skin. But it can be irritable to sensitive skin types so I donāt recommend to sensitive skin types.
By the way I donāt always use the exfoliating toner in my 7-Skin Method I only use it 2-3 time a week! As it is recommended with any exfoliating at max.
My 7-skin method for the most part is comprised of 4 layers of hydration and 1-2 layer of exfoliant 2-3 times a week!
When I donāt exfoliate I will layer Bioderma 4-7 times.
Remember Hydrated skin is Healthy and Happy Skin!

Highly effective skincare products can be affordable! So I discovered this routine. Everything in my routine is under $40. I hope this is helpful.š²š²
1ļøā£ CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser $14.99
Y'all should know CeraVe. One of the best drugstore skincare brands. It is alcohol free, not irritating at all. Very friendly to acne-prone skin and sensitive skin. As a moisturizer, it contains glycerol, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid. It can improve the skin's restoration capacity, making your skin healthier in the long-run.
2ļøā£LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer$33
The ingredient list is super simple, which is quite rare among all the skincare products. The texture is creamy white liquid, heavier than water. If you have dry skin, then use it as a toner. And use a moisturizer afterward. If you have oily skin, this product is enough for moisturization.
3ļøā£The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%$10.60
This is so hyped these days. Everyone is talking about it and praising it. It claims that it is good for very oily skin. It can reduce acne, maintaining the oil-water balance within the skin. I heard that it is also a good whitening product, but I can't see any effects.
4ļøā£timeless SKIN CARE - 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum$18.44
It includes 20% Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Ferulic acid. Some people said that this is a dupe for SkinCeuticals. My skin looks brighter and healthier after using it for a while. I will repurchase it!
5ļøā£ OLAY - Total Effects Daily Moisturizer $15.99
Olay is an old skincare brand, but this day cream is awesome! It includes several different kinds of Vitamins. The ingredient list is very clean. Make sure you use the fragrance-free one. It is also SPF 15. Even though it is only 15, it's still better than nothing.
6ļøā£Mecca Cosmetica SPF30 Facial Sunscreen $38
This is not oily at all, and it does not smell bad as many other sunscreens. It includes great ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and pomegranate extract. All those ingredients can moisturize the skin. This is a magical sunscreen that can keep your skin hydrated.
7ļøā£Glossier balm dotcom $12
The No.1 multi-function product from Glossier. This one doesn't have any color. It has a slight strawberry smell. It includes some simple but proven moisturizing ingredient, such as vaseline and castor oil.
timeless SKIN CARE-20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum
š Secret to My PM Supple Skin! š
I have combination skin so my t-zone is in the range of normal to oily skin and I have dry skin on my cheeks. My skin tone is warm ivory with a slight reddish discoloration in my cheeks š§I also have some freckles (sun spots) across my cheeks and my nose bridge (which bother me!). I also have very sensitive skin so I am alwyas cautious with new products or else my skin will becom super red and peel! š
Unlike my am routine (in previous post!), my pm routine is pretty constant and I only change one product in the fall/winter and sping/summer. The products that I use are double cleaners (if needed but I'll only include my second cleanser in this post), facial spray, skin conditioner (toner), two types of different serums and a moisturizer. All of the products that I have included in this review have been reviewed by me before so feel free to go read my previous posts to get all the specifics of the prodcut and how it worked for me!
The second cleanser I use is theGlossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser to gently cleanse and refersh my skin. I use this as a second cleanser since it is sooo gentle and I feel like it is just good for prepping my skin for my skincare and it doesn't strip my skin of its oils šš». The next step is theMARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater I love this product! It has a fragrant smell, the formula is fabulous, and even though it provides such great hydration, my pores don't feel clogged after using it! Another reason why I like this product is because it does not cause irritation or breakouts on my sensitive and combination skin. It also provides great hydration for both face and hair so its extremly versatile. I then use thenaturie - Hatomugi Skin Conditioner which provides enough moisture despite its liquid consistency since it includes hatomugi essence which is rich in vitamins š amino acids and protein. The three musts for tight healthy skin! The next product I use isThe Ordinary - ''Buffet'' This serum because it is good for dryness and I feel like I suffer from dryness more than oiliness. This produt is good for pretty much all types of skin: normal, oily, combination, dry, and most importantly, sensitive skin! Not only does this product help with drynes, it also claims to help with fine lines, wrinkles, dullness, and uneven texture. I've been using this product for about 2 weeks and I feel like its pretty good so far. I like how there is no fragrance and absorbs into my skin pretty well and preps my skin for the next step. Brightening serum and moisturizer. I mix theNeutrogena - Bright Boost Illuminating Serum wtih theCurĆ©l - Moisture Facial Milk . The illuninating serum leaves my skin feeling soft and suple with a slight glow ⨠to it but it doesn't really help with my dark spot (still use it thought to finish it). The facial milk is fragrance free and also alcohol free so it doesnāt irritate the skin at all! With only a few pumps my skin feels soft and hydrated š§.

Daily skincare āļø
Skincare is really important to me, and also really fun. Spf is a necessity for all skin types and skin tones, make sure you wear this even in the winter. It prevents aging and skin cancer! This is what Iāve been using for a while now and recently introduced the brightening serum into my routine about 5 days ago.
This has helped my oily and dry sections.
I start off with the ole Henriksen truth juice daily cleanser. Itās really moisturizing and has a gel/creamy texture. It smells amazingly like oranges š it removes all of my morning oily ness.
OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser
I apply glossierās balm dot com on my lips to keep them super soft and hydrating all day.
Glossier. - Balm Dotcom
After I wash my face I like to use the purlisse brightening serum. Iāve been using it for a few days now and itās felt really nice. It hasnāt been irritating at all and on the product it says itās great for sensitive skin!
pūrlisse - Blue Lotus Brightening Serum
After a few seconds of letting the serum soak into my skin I use the elf face cream. My skin loves this stuff! It leaves me looking really hydrated.
e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream
As a final step on my skincare I use the dermalogica dynamic skin recovery spf 50. I love this! Itās one of the few that I can apply on top of my moisturizers without it starting to pill. I hate the feeling of barely touching my skin and feeling the moisturizer rubbing and pilling.

My thoughts on these Sukin products!
I have been trying the sukin - Certified Organic Rosehip Oil 50ml sukin - Nutrient Rich Facial Moisturiser Super Greens 125ml for several weeks now and I believe everyone should invest in Sukin during these winter months in Australia!
The products are super gentle on my dry, sensitive skin and definitely play a major part in rejuvenating and nourishing my skin!
The Rosehip oil is perfect to leave on overnight - you will wake up with hydrated skin! I notice a major increase in the brightness of my skin, I especially noticed my dark spots less visible. I do struggle with redness quite often in my skin but when using this Rosehip oil I notice my overall skin tone improve significantly! The lines under my eyes have also definitely softened and looked less textured. You can even mix this with your daily/nightly moisturiser for just a bit of extra hydration when your skin is needing some TLC!
The only con I find when using this oil is that you definitely can feel it on top of your skin and I do find that it can take a long time to really sink in which is a bummer, but the pros outweigh the cons obviously.
The Nutrient Rich Moisturiser is also a new, favourite moisturiser of mine! It has now become my new moisturiser for the day time, replacing my usual CeraVe! I find it sits perfectly under makeup and makes my foundation look much more hydrated - a lot less cakes too! It has such a creamy feel to my dry skin and nourishes it perfectly! It absorbs very quickly and keeps my skin soft and smooth. It had a refreshing, light scent without being overly fragranced. Fragrance has never been an issue in my skincare routine as I havenāt experienced it breaking me out but I do avoid it as much as possible and majority of my products are fragrance free! Sukin does state that their products are fragranced with Essential Oils and Plant Derived Aromatic Ingredients which I believe really arenāt necessary in skincare products but I am lucky fragrance isnāt an issue for my skin.
I have also tried the sukin - Foaming Facial Cleanser Pump Signature which I will be doing an in-depth review very soon but I must tell you - I am in love!!
The Sukin brand is a cruelty free, natural ingredient, carbon neutral, Australian made and the packaging is recyclable! Overall, I love this brand so far (even Simba loves it too!) and believe itās perfect for those struggling with quite dry skin during these months in Australia! I recommend you give it a try and see if you see great results also!
