The BEST Affordable Skincare! (All $20 or under)
Krave - The Beet Shield $20 for 50 ml Only pros with this one! No white cast, not too greasy, not drying, sits well under makeup, completely unscented, and spf 50+++! LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel $14.99 for 13.52 oz This cleanses my skin thoroughly without being overly drying or stripping. Gentle enough to be used on eye makeup too! CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin $18.99 for 16 oz Super hydrating but not too thick or pore clogging. Dries slightly matte so it works well under makeup too. Can be used on the whole body VERSED - WEEKEND GLOW $17.99 for 4 oz This has lactic acid, glycolic acid, azelaic acid, kojic acid and vitamin c to exfoliate and brighten. I use this several times a week in the morning and notice my skin is sooo much brighter since I began using it. Not irritating at all, despite all of the different active ingredients. Also love the pump bottle top THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm $9.99 for 5 oz I love that this one comes in a tube instead of a jar! Much more sanitary and easier to get out. This removes all my makeup easily, even lipstick and mascara, and rinses off without leaving any kind of film behind. indeed LABORATORIES - In-Circadian Night Mask $24.99 for 1.7 oz Okay yes this one is more than $20, but it’s sold at Ulta and there are always great coupons that would make it under $20 when used. A night mask is just a thick moisturizer, but this one can also be layered over your regular moisturizer in colder months, or if you have extra dry skin. This mask is super hydrating and sinks into the skin super well so it won’t get on your pillow while you sleep #cheriepartner

What’s so special about customized skincare??
Function of Beauty recently launched customizable skincare (cleanser, serum, and moisturizer) and sent me some to review. PROS: makes you feel special - your name is on the products can target specific skin concerns - mine were even tone, hydrate, and minimize redness ability to choose slightly scented or fragrance free can choose to exclude any ingredients that are known irritants CONS: it’s expensive! Cleanser $24.99 Serum $49.99 Moisturizer $44.99. Although these prices are not ridiculous in comparison to some brands, there are definitely more affordable options out there with similar formulas (think inkey list, versed, and the ordinary) customized but might still cause irritation - just because these products are created for you, there is not absolute way to know for sure if they will work until you actually try them out on your skin. The moisturizer I received caused redness and hot skin when used in combination with my existing routine and only worked when used on its own. not that unique -with so many brands out there constantly creating new products, there is bound to be products already out there that target the same concerns you have, and with potentially more elegant formulas Overall thoughts: happy to have tried them out, will not purchase when I run out. The serum is my favorite, but because I mostly chose hydrating ingredients, I know there are cheaper alternatives out there. The cleanser and moisturizer are nothing special and definitely not worth the price tag to me #cheriepartner
Empties that I would definitely repurchase!
Krave - The Beet Shield $20 for 50 ml This is hands down the best face spf I have ever tried! No white cast, no weird sunscreen smell, sits well under makeup, AND spf 50. It dries slightly dewy so if I am wearing it alone I will set it with powder, but if I am wearing makeup it is the perfect primer. Have already repurchased twice SUMMER FRIDAYS - CC Me Vitamin C Serum $64 for 1 oz I have super sensitive skin and it is rare that I find a vitamin c serum that doesn’t irritate my skin at all. This one is super gentle but still has noticeable brightening effects. It is a hydrating serum due to the added squalane, and makes my skin so happy. It smells slightly like cinnamon, but in a very subtle and natural way. Will repurchase once I finish my current vitamin c serum HERBIVORE - Emerald Deep Moisture Glow Oil $58 for 1 oz This oil is so hydrating and soothing and perfect for the winter! I definitely notice my skin is less red when I wake up after using this oil. It has a natural herbal scent but I actually really enjoy it. I’ve gone through 3 minis and will be purchasing a full size very soon SheaMoisture - Red Palm Oil & Cocoa Butter Leave-In or Rinse Out Conditioner $11.19 for 13 oz I have used this both as a leave in and rinse out conditioner, and while it works great for both, I much prefer it as a leave in. Not too sticky and adds the perfect amount of moisture to my dry, curly hair. This paired with a styling gel and my curls are hydrated and defined and so shiny! I can’t even count how many of these I’ve gone through Not Pot - Pineapple CBD gummies ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ $40 for 30 gummies These gummies help me sleep better and feel less stressed through the day. I don’t take them everyday and so I definitely notice a shift in my mood when I do take one. They taste great and not at all like weed. I’ve gone through 3 bottles over the past few months and can’t wait until they restock! #cheriepartner

My favorite at home “gel” manicure!
I’ve gotten so much better at painting my nails after not going into a salon in months, and this combo of products allows my manicure to last a full 2 weeks. I haven’t ventured into gel polishes that require a UV lamp, but the OPI Infinite Shine formula is the same quality. OPI - Infinite Shine Prostay Primer I had never used a nail primer, or even really a base coat, before trying this one, but I definitely feel like it helps the polish stick to the nail better. I’ve tried the infinite shine polish without the primer and my nails chipped much faster. OPI - Long Lasting Nail Polish Infinite Shine 2 this is the shade “engagement to be” which is described as a pale lilac, but appears more grayish purple in person. It’s a beautiful neutral shade and very glossy. The wide brush helps with easy application, and the formula is thick enough to not run, but still allow for buildable coverage through multiple coats. With this particular shade I use 3 coats, but most of the collection only requires 2 coats Seche - Vite Dry Fast Clear Top Coat Super quick drying but also super chip resistant! Makes my nails super glossy but isn’t thick or gummy at all. My nails dry significantly faster with this top coat than any other I’ve ever tried #cheriepartner

My favorite lazy nighttime routine - in minis
A good nighttime routine for me has at minimum 3 vital steps: oil based cleanser, water based cleanser, and moisturizer. This simple 4 step routine is my go-to for traveling because it hits all my requirements plus a little something extra! First cleanse: Elemis Pro-collagen cleansing balm This is my absolute favorite first cleanse. It has a jelly like consistency and removes all traces of makeup and spf fairly easily. It does contain some essential oils which can be sensitizing for some people, but has never bothered my sensitive skin. Second cleanse: Youth to the People Superfood cleanser I really appreciate a foaming cleanser that is gentle enough for use twice a day. This is a thin gel consistency that has a gentle lather. I can even use this to remove any eye makeup that was left behind after my first cleanse. Moisturizer: Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask This is such a multi- use product! It can be used as a 20 minute wash off mask, an overnight sleeping mask, or a daytime moisturizer for those with drier skin. It’s full of ceramides to help moisturize the skin. The mask contains niacinamide too which helps even skin tone and visibly minimize enlarged pores. Oil (My bonus product): Herbivore Emerald Oil I love the cbd version of this oil (there is also a hemp one) to add extra hydration and decrease my natural redness. It’s incredibly hydrating, but sinks into the skin super well and doesn’t feel too oily at all. It also has ashwagandha to protect against environmental stressors. #cheriepartner

Why is honey so popular in skincare?
🍯Honey might be this year’s most popular skincare ingredient! But why? Honey has really amazing natural benefits: antibacterial and antimicrobial - good for acne prone skin antioxidants - good for anti-aging, protecting the skin from environmental stressors, and healing skin propolis - strong healing properties, can be helpful for after acne care, incredibly moisturizing My favorite way to incorporate honey is in serums, like the Banila co. Mr. Honey ampoule, or masks, like the Farmacy Honey Potion. I also love the smell of honey and use hair and body products with honey for the scent as well as moisturizing effects. #cheriepartner
