Elf coming through with a drugstore gem!
While my skin type is combination, I try not to lean too much into mattifying products when I wear makeup. Too much matte produces more oil for me so I was interested in a more dewy primer and discovered the ELF Jelly Pop dewy primer through a YouTube beauty guru I love. I would say this is a pretty good dupe for the Milk Hydro-Grip Primer if you're into that. It has the same idea of being hydrating with a more sticky texture to really grip your foundation. The watermelon smell is also pretty great and not so strong that it lingers. Texture wise, the tackiness of it isn't so bad that it leaves spots or pills under my foundation. It's paired really well with a couple consistent foundations I use (The Fenty Hydrating foundation and Maybelline Fit Me). Best of all, this is $8 if you can find it online or at Ulta. My makeup looks have been really solid lately and I honestly credit this product for making a huge difference. I love that I've been able to find something effective and affordable.e.l.f. - Jelly Pop Dew Primer

I love ELF primers!
On Monday through Friday I wake up at 630am, do my skin routine then put on makeup. My makeup then has to last me all day at work until 5pm. Because of this I always reach for the e.l.f. - Jelly Pop Dew Primer . This primer has a very sticky feel which makes makeup literally stick to your face all day long. As you can see from my photo taken at 6pm- Even wearing a mask all day my makeup still looks great! I have oily skin and this does not make me shiny at all. It makes my skin feel hydrated and dewy. It does have a very light watermelon scent which does not bother me at all and doesn’t make me break out. If I’m going out for the evening or I’m doing a heavier makeup look I use e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer . This primer makes me look smooth and completely poreless just like it states. I’m not a huge fan of the silicone feel but it really does make for a flawless look. I have never worn this primer for more than a few hours so I can’t speak to how it wears during a long day.
Oily/Combo Friendly Primers!
I have oily/combo skin. Now about maybe a year or so ago I started noticing that if I used too many matte products it made my skin cakey looking and dry. My makeup would crease and separate. I was more oily than before I applied my makeup. I was so afraid to leave any matte products, since with oily skin I thought that was all that would work for me. Thank god I decided I had enough and finally took the chance to learn something new. Honestly I don’t even know if I’ll ever go back to fully matte primers MAYBELLINE - FaceStudio Master Prime I was hesitant to use this at first, but I’m so glad I did. This is probably my 2nd or 3rd bottle and I’m literally trying to get the last of it out. It doesn’t make my skin more oily, especially if I do go in with a pore filling primer. It makes my skin feel nice and hydrated and my foundation goes on so comfortably. I could not recommend this enough and it’s definitely a holy grail for me! This one is my one and only favorite from Maybelline’s Master Prime line. e.l.f. - Jelly Pop Dew Primer Honestly I picked this up because of the hype it was getting. I love love love the smell, a huge plus. I’ll be honest, whenever I put this on I forget that I used it which does make it hard to remember how long it makes my makeup last lol. Still when I first apply I do like the tackyness of it. My foundation does sit smoothly on it and I do like the slight glow it gives me. Also, it doesn’t make me more shiny than usual pixi - Flawless Beauty Primer I picked this up from the clearance section for only a few dollars and honestly have no clue if it’s still available, but oh boy do I hope it is. This took me by surprise. On the tube it says it gives a youthful flow and it does exactly that. I love the glow from within look and this just gives it to me. I don’t get oily from this. I love it! PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Spotlight Illuminating Primer I cannot rave about this enough. Holy crap this is a holy grail and I’m still on my first bottle which is surprising because I’ve had it for probably almost two years (expired makeup??? 🙈) and I use it all the time. I apply this mostly on the outer parts of my face with a pore filling primer in my t-zone. It makes my makeup last, and it doesn’t look greasy by the end of the day. It gives the perfect amount of glow and I mean the glow from within look. You can also use it as a liquid highlight which I totally recommend you do! You don’t need a lot. Go get your hands on this!!!! e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer this deserve all the hype it gets. It’s pore filling, it smooths, and my makeup stays put all day. Any time I’m wearing makeup this is on my face. I can’t live without it. I also use it right under my eyes and my concealer doesn’t crease! Holy Grail!!!!
Beauty Empties!Extremely satisfied.
I have normal skin, but it can get dry during the winter months This product is designed to hydrate the skin throughout the day while also acting like a primer that prevents your makeup from getting into the pores and keeping it all in place It has a tacky, matte consistency that immediately provides moisture upon skin contact. It has a really nice creamy feel and has a tacky, matte finish so it feels like my makeup really sticks to it without getting into my pores It really does hydrate my skin and keeps it hydrated throughout the day and in these dry Colorado winters, that’s exactly what I’m looking for One pump is plenty to cover my face and neck so I’m happy it’s not one of those primers that I feel like I need to get every month Overall, I am extremely happy with this product especially considering it’s affordability at $10 and it doesn’t take more than a couple minutes to it to feel rubbed in and ready to apply makeup to. It does exactly what it claims to do about hydrating your face and having a matte finish that allows your makeup to stick in place throughout the day. I have already recommended this to my dry-skined friends because this really works magic with its hydrating properties. This is definitely my new go-to primer for life! I would give the Hydrating Face Primer 5 out of 5 stars and will be purchasing again. e.l.f. - Hydrating Face Primer

Duper duper dupeee
Texture: a slick, silicone but creates a beautiful canvas! I decided to try this because I wanted to have filtered skin without wearing foundation and something that will help my skin. This primer works well with just skincare, and I don’t use foundation or anything on top of this. The feeling of this is very slick and silky and makes your skin look super flawless, and just like the name, poreless! Love love love this!e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer
