“An oil-free, silicone-free daily moisturizer that delivers a lightweight, lasting hydration while helping to clear pores and reduce shine” performance | .9 star | would totally give this a full star, but on Sephora and Farmacy website says it reduces shine, I didn’t experience that. It’s not like it made my face shinier, wasn’t a matte finish like most oil-free products, but I actually liked that about it (just sticking to my review scale of “does it do what is says it’s going to do) texture | full star | literally one of the best textures! Thicc gel yet lightweight and melts right into the skin. the moisturizer itself is that unique green color and I am in love scent | full star | low key kinda reminds me of citronella, but in a good way. Like just smells super citrusy and refreshing but the scent doesn’t linger, no chemical or artificial smells of any sort packaging | .9 star | recyclable glass jar, not sure about the lid, but can def repurpose that with the cute design. Wish the verbiage on the label was a little easier to read ingredients | .75 star | I try to stay away when the list of ingredients is almost the size of text book, nothing too concerning in here though. Would love to see the plant based ingredients come from organic sources. Love that it’s silicone free! value | full star | honestly $38 might seem steep, but this is soooo worth it. On the lower side of cost comparable to most moisturizers in its category and a little goes a long way with this one. def a fave of mine & highly recommend for all skin types during summer Total 5.55 out of 6 stars

Combo Skin Holy Grail?
I seriously spent years not using a moisturizer, sunscreen 😩, serum, NOTHING!! I thought all moisturizers would do nothing but make me greasy. I absolutely love that I have found so many that are absolutely perfect for combo or oily skin!! FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya This product is $38.00 for 1.7 oz. which honestly is pretty pricey. They upside is that it seriously doesn’t take much of this for each use so it wouldn’t be too expensive looking at it that way and how long it would last. 🥬Claims: An oil-free + silicone-free daily moisturizer that delivers lightweight, lasting hydration without leaving skin feeling greasy. This vegan, cruelty-free formula contains hyaluronic acid + a blend of phytonutrients known to help clear pores + reduce shine. 🥬Contains a blend of phytonutrients, including purifying moringa sourced from a local family farm in Coachella Valley, CA, papaya and willow herb, known to help reduce shine and clear pores of dirt and impurities. 🥬Provides water-light hydration.Powerful moisture magnets hyaluronic and polyglutamic acids hydrate. 🥬🥬My experience— This smells wonderful! I can not pinpoint the exact smell but it’s almost minty or clove like. This moisturizer soaked into my skin quicker than any I have every tried and I really like that! Afterwards my skin feels hydrated and matte in the oily spots. I definitely think that if you have combo skin with dry spots you may need a heavier product at night but this would be perfect for daytime. If you have super oily skin this should be a winner as well. It still works well on the few drier areas of my face without being too much for my T-zone so I absolutely love it day or night! 🥬Would I purchase the full size? I definitely would! I love everything about this moisturizer except the price 😂 and once I need to buy a new one, this would definitely be one I buy. 🥬🥬🥬🥬 Have you tried this? Did you ❤️ it as well????

Picking the right moisturizer for your skin type
Picking the right moisturizer for your skin type
In a world where the skincare market has become super saturated it can be hard to choose the right products for your skin type. In general it can be hard to know what products are right in general. As a general rule of thumb I tend to recommend gels for oily skin and creams for dry skin but I wanted to break it down a little further. Dry skin: Dry skin is normally characterized as skin lacking oil. It can be caused by a number of conditions but usually you’ll have a lack of oil production, flakiness, dry patches, and scaling. For dry skin you’re going to want to look for richer creams like the Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Moisturizer . This is probably the thickest cream I’ve ever experienced. Thicker creams will contain hydrating ingredients to trap in moisture to help throughout the day. You can also opt for an oil on top of your moisturizer to help add that extra oil you’re lacking. (My favorite is rosehip oil). Oily skin: Oily skin is normally characterized as skin over producing oil (this is me 🙋🏻‍♀️). Here you’re going to still want hydrating ingredients but you don’t want something heavy as it can tend to block the pores (which are already over producing oil and can in turn cause break outs). I prefer gel moisturizers like the FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya . This gel moisturizer is chock full of hydrating ingredients that give moisture to the skin but is still super lightweight enough to where it doesn’t feel heavy or suffocating on the skin. Combination skin: Combo skin is normally characterized as having both the characteristics of oily and dry skin. You can be shiny and oily in one place (normally the T zone) and dry and flaky in others. Here you have a couple of options. You can opt for a very lightweight cream moisturizer like the dr. brandt - Cool Biotic Prebiotic Redness Relief Cream . This is also perfect for this with normal or sensitive skin. It’s very lightweight on the skin and contains skin soothing ingredients like colloidal oatmeal and cannabis sativa seed oil. With this being lightweight it will help maintain normal moisture balance to the skin. Then from there you have a few options of what to do. You can take an oil and dot that over the areas where you have drier skin or you can take a thicker cream and do the same. That way you’re treating both conditions without contradicting the other. Other things to look for: Personally I prefer to look for fragrance free options. If it has less than 1% I don’t mind it but if fragrance is high up on the ingredient list I would pass. Especially if you have sensitive skin. With sensitive skin I usually recommend staying away from fragrance or artificial dyes. First Aid Beauty is probably the best brand for sensitive skin. With oily skin I also try to look for non comedogenic ingredients as those are less likely to block the pores.

⭐️ 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 ⭐️ ByWishtrend, Acid-Duo Hibiscus 63 Cream ($17-20, YesStyle, Amazon, brand website) ——————— ⇛Beauty (⭐️⭐️⭐️): This is a lovely gel cream that is perfect for very oily skin and #pinkwednesday . It moisturizes lightly without irritation, and has LHA and PHA for gentle exfoliation (good for sensitive skin). The star ingredient is hibiscus flower extract, which is really high in antioxidants. There is no fragrance, and it sinks into the skin really well and quickly. It layers well over actives, and does not pill. For me, this is a daytime or summer moisturizer, I need a bit more moisturize at night and during the winter, and prefer to use my actives separately. It’s a great buy under $20 if you have really oily skin, need a gently exfoliating moisturizer, and want something simple at a great price. Personally, it’s not right for me. I also wish this was in a squeeze tube, It would help control the amount of product your fingers pick up when you dip them into the pot. ——————— ⇛Business (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, cruelty-free): I like ByWishtrend’s no-frills, no-nonsense approach to marketing and skincare. Products are straightforward, reasonably priced, and deliver on promises. I would totally recommend ByWishtrend and it’s sister brands to anyone new to KBeauty, most products are also gender neutral and not fragranced, so it is easy to gift. You can now find this and their sister brands at lots of retailers, and they recently relaunched the US website and have released more products. I’m looking forward to new releases in the next year.

Worth it?

The Boscia cactus water moisturizer is an ultra light weight fast absorbing moisturizer that gives thirsty skin a sip of instant hydration for a soft, smooth, and simple complexion! It can be solutions for dryness, dullness, uneven texture, and loss of firmness and elasticity. The texture of this is a refreshing thick gel that feels so cooling on your face. I have used this for about 10 months and really like it in the summer time because after being in the sun it feels so refreshing to put this on after. I got it in a set with two other boscia items that I also love! It is very hydrating, didn’t break me out, and gave me awesome results with my dry skin! I would recommend this to all skin types and to try out definitely in the summer for the really nice cooling effect! It is worth the $38 for 1.61oz of product that will last a while! The Kiehls calendula serum infused water cream is a weightless water cream infused with concentrated calendula serum! It can be solutions for dryness, dullness, and uneven texture! It is best for normal to oily skin types. The texture of this is a lightweight gel-cream, that feels like a drink of water on your face! I absolutely love this cream but is definitely geared toward oily skin types! I received it as a promo code on Sephora about 5 months ago and it is amazing! It is very hydrating, didn’t break me out, and I didn’t see big results because my skin is on the dryer side and this is geared more for oily skin types! I would recommend this to others because it does have an amazing texture and feeling on the face it also smells so fresh. It is worth the $50 for 1.7oz for people with oily skin! The tatcha water cream is recommended for oily, normal to oily, pores, and anti-aging!! It is an oil-free , anti-aging water cream that releases a burst of skin-improving Japanese nutrients, powerful botanicals and optimal hydration for pure, poreless skin! It works because it is a unique water-burst cream breaks upon application to deeply deliver treatment benefits, hydrating without leaving skin sticky or greasy. It’s powerful ingredient, Japanese Wild Rose, visibly tightens pores and smoothes skin texture!! Also it is, Non-comedogenic, Non-irritating, Non-sensitizing, Dermatologist tested, and Cruelty-free! Additionally, formulated without, Mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, sulfate detergents, parabens, and phthalates!! I love this because it is great for the summer since it does not leave my skin oily or greasy! It is a bit pricey but if you have had issues with pores or any other of its benefits I think it is worth it! It is $68 for 1.7 ounces. It also smells very good and the texture feels very cool to the touch! I think it is worth it, the tatcha water cream is amazing and is so worth the price, they have amazing ingredients and antioxidant properties, and they are always right on there claims! The Boscia is also pretty good and is at a great price point to! That is my second favorite by far! The Kiehls is definitely not worth $50 at all! It is no where near as good as tatcha! It makes my skin feel oily and greasy and just doesn’t do anything good for my dry skin! But the Boscia is an amazing affordable option of the tatcha water cream! boscia - Cactus Water Moisturizer Kiehl's - Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream TATCHA - The Water Cream

{What does it claim?} It’s A lightweight yet intensely hydrating gel-cream moisturizer formulated with antioxidant-rich honey, hyaluronic acid & golden cupuaçu butter beads. {Texture/consistency?} It is a very lightweight gel moisturizer with small creamy beads in it. {My thoughts?} I bought this a couple weeks ago and I am in love! For the past two years I’ve used my same PTR gel moisturizer for my sensitive dry skin and it has always worked wonders, I ran out and wanted to try something new. I’ve seen so many great reviews about this and I wanted to give it a bit of a chance before I reviewed it, and I’ve decided I love it! It smells like honey and the texture is so smooth and jelly like. It feels very lightweight and my skin can breathe but is VERY hydrating. I was a bit scared since I’m the title it says “lightweight” but I’m my opinion the texture is lightweight but not the product itself. I feel like it better moisturized my skin than the PTR or any moisturizer (besides drunk elephant whipped moisturizer) but while being not heavy on my skin! Plus it didn’t break out my sensitive skin!! My skin feels so nice when I wake up (I only use at PM) it says to use AM under makeup, I haven’t ventured that far yet! But for right now I’m hooked. It retails for $45 on Sephora for 1.7 oz, and it seems to last. It comes in a nice glass jar with a wooden cap and a silver spatula “, making it clean & easy to scoop product out! I give it a 5/5 💖 go out and try it!!! FARMACY - Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer

Let’s talk moisturizers! 🍯 My absolute fav is the honey drop moisturizer by @farmacybeauty. - • it is super lightweight, yet hydrating to keep skin plump • smells soooo good, just like fresh honey • has a antioxidant-honey blend known for soothing & formulated with 6 superfoods for ultimate nourishment • includes hyaluronic acid to support firmness & elasticity • butter beads are added to this creamy cream-gel texture to help soften skin & melt into skin to provide long lasting moisture • non-greasy, gel cream formula is perfect for oily and sensitive skin - I have been using this for almost a year. It is truly my holy grail moisturizer and i think i will always continue to use this. It’s perfect my oily/combination skin and i find that it nourishes and heals any acne. It keeps me hydrated throughout the day and I’ve definitely seen many positive results from this. If you are looking for a new moisturizer, this is a 10/10. Overhyped Cult Fav?🤔

This was the first Kiehls product I have ever tried and I wasn’t disappointed. I got this baby at Marshall’s for $20 and it retails for $32 at Sephora 🤭 My skin usually doesn’t call for a cream like this. But this time of year I get super dry, otherwise year around my skin is normal/combination and highly sensitive. The Kiehl’s company describes it as follows: “With its unique lightweight texture, our #1 facial cream provides lasting 24-hour hydration for softer, smoother, and visibly healthier-looking skin. Formulated with Glacial Glycoprotein and olive-derived Squalane, this non-greasy, lightweight moisturizer immediately leaves skin 2.3X more hydrated, even in skin’s driest areas.” (Via their website) I used it primarily on my nose which cracks from dryness usually and i noticed a difference the first time I used it 🤗 I love that the packaging feels lux! This packaging is heavy. There is no smell to it, it’s texture reminds me a lot of Tatcha’s Water Cream. I continued to use it nightly primarily on my nose. I used the smallest amount after cleansing my face. I genuinely have no complaints with it... which is hard to believe because I love to complain😂 I suppose if I had purchased this at Sephora/Kiehl’s first for full price, THEN saw it at Marshall’s for $20 🤡 I would’ve been pretty pissed off. For $20 I totally would recommend this to my dry and oily friends. It didn’t break me out at all and if you can find it at the $20 price tag TRY IT! This stuff works. Thank me later cracked skin suffers. Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream
