Totally Overrated Products: Fresh
This is a new series where I’ll go over brands most popular products that receive more positive attention than deserved. These three products are very overrated considering the formulas aren’t that good. Especially since most of them are packed with lots and lots of fragrance which is a known skin irritant. fresh - Rose Face Mask This face mask rinses cleanly which leaves the skin hydrated and feeling soft. The formula contains soothing ingredients and great antioxidants. However, this is where the positives end. -Includes a large amount of fragrance ingredients which can sensitize skin. -The product is also packaged in a jar which leaves the light and air sensitive ingredients exposed. fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash This exfoliating face wash does well at smoothing skin, but there are some risks. This face wash uses sugar granules for exfoliation but it can be abrasive which can cause harm to the skin’s natural barrier. -The formula contains many fragrance ingredients which puts skin at risk for irritation. -The brand claims that this face wash is gentle, however, a facial scrub is far from that especially when paired with fragrant ingredients. fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner This toner comes with rose petals in the product, which may look pretty, but only increases the risk of irritation to skin. While the toner does contain some beneficial ingredients that help to replenish skin, there are just too many fragrant ingredients. -This product can be too damaging to all skin types not just to those who have sensitive skin. The issue with fragrance: The daily use of highly fragranced products whether it’s natural or synthetic can cause a bad, sensitizing reaction to the skin. This reaction can lead to other issues such as increasing redness, disrupting the skin’s barrier, and worsening dryness. Similar to the effects of cumulative sun damage, the visible damage and negative impact from fragrance may not become evident for a long amount of time. Thanks for reading! :)

The best selling Soy Face Cleanser is my all-time favorite face cleansing gel which gently melts away all the impurities and leaves me clean and refreshing skin. I have been repurchasing this cleanser many times. fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash The Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask is my another go-to product for years. The texture is creamy soft and leaves my skin very hydrated. It is formulated the Black Tea Complex of Kombucha, Black Tea Extract, Blackberry Leaf Extract, and Lychee Seed Extract that helps to protect your skin from pollution and improve skin elasticity. fresh - Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask The Rose Face Mask is infused with pure rosewater, cucumber ecstasy, and aloe vera that helps to instantly hydrate and soothe the skin. After using it, I feel my skin is soft and plumping. fresh - Rose Face Mask The Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask is an overnight treatment mask that infused with kombucha (black tea ferment), black tea extract, blackberry leaf extract, and lychee seed extract that helps too smooth and rebalance the skin. This mask is intensely moisturizing over the night and gives you lifted, firmer look by morning. fresh - Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask

fresh - Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil So when I first started using this I felt like my skin really enjoyed it but after some time, I think this oil broke me out. Now you’re probably thinking, if it broke you out, why isn’t it at a 1 star. So the reason I still gave it three stars is because it’s still a great oil. It did help my skin but it ended up clogging my pores. Had this not, this oil is gorgeous and I really did love it. I personally do use this something around some dry areas, but only during the winter months if I need it But I found a better use for this. I actually use this product in my post shower routine. So when my hair is damp, I take a couple drops of this and apply it through the end of my hair and then I’ll either let it air dry or I’ll blow dry my hair and no joke, this oil really helps my ends stay soft and silky without being oily 💓 So if you’re dry, you might really love this. If you are oily, you could love this but tbh I personally now use this only on my hair 😛
I haven't been keeping up, but I do want to share this! This travel size freshbeauty seaberry facial oil has been a fall staple (for all of the week it hasn't been 90 degrees in SoCal). I really like it mixed into a lotion or cream for a little extra bit of moisturizing without adding heaviness. And I only need a drop or two so this 15ml size should last me for a while! I like to buy my facial oils in small bottles for freshness 😉. Also, it's a lot more affordable!

Summer Is For Cooling Masks! The Best One Is..😋😋😋
The weather is getting hotter and I'm really in need of a cooling mask, so I bought two types of soothing masks with rave reviews. I've been using them for more than a month and thought it was time write a review about them. fresh - Vitamin C Glow Face Mask Kiehl's - Calendula & Aloe Soothing Hydration Mask The Fresh mask is about twice as expensive as the one by Kiehl's. Scent: The Fresh mask has a citrus scent which is suitable for summer, but I prefer Kiehl's light calendula scent. Texture: The Fresh mask contains exfoliating particles which dissolve when mixed with water and rubbed. It also gently exfoliates and resurfaces the skin. The Kiehl's mask has a jelly, gel-like texture which focuses on soothing and hydrating. I suggest keeping these two masks in the fridge for a cooling and soothing sensation when they're applied on the skin. Results: I normally prefer using sheet masks as they offer more instant and obvious results. I use wash-off face masks only in summer, and I find that both Fresh and Kiehl's masks don't offer the instant effect that sheet masks offer. Fresh focuses on natural ingredients and is suitable for pregnant women and people with sensitive skin, but it can't be easily washed off. However, my skin feels very comfortable for the whole day after it's washed off, so I will definitely repurchase it. Kiehl's washes off more easily, and it's more suitable for repairing sunburned skin by applying a thick layer on. Calendula is great for calming and soothing skin. Normally I'll cleanse my skin, apply a thick layer of the mask, shower then wash it off before continuing with my follow-up skincare routine.
Had a Late Night? 2 Quick Fixes!
We all have “those” nights. Whether it’s up late working on a school or work assignment, watching too many YouTube (or Tik Tok) videos, stressed about something, or whatever else that prevents you from having a good night of sleep, we all want to look well-rested! In addition to a splash of cold water on your face and a cup of coffee, tea, or matcha, there are 2 things I usually do to help my face and under eyes look like I got the recommended 8 hours of sleep. Puffiness and extra darkness under the eyes are common if you didn’t get a good night of sleep. An easy way to de-puff, hydrate, and instantly lift your under eyes is to use eye gels. I use the GOOD MOLECULES - Caffeine Energizing Hydrogel Eye Patches when I need an extra pick-me-up. They contain caffeine, acetyl tetrapeptide-5, niacinamide, aloe, and hyaluronic acid to firm, hydrate, soothe, and smooth. My under eyes visibly look and feel better in 10-15 minutes. These patches don’t slip and slide like many others I’ve tried. This particular product is great because they’re a good bang for your buck - $18 for 60 patches (30 uses), and I have repurchased them. I am a makeup lover so I do dot some concealer on after my skincare routine, but that’s optional! My next tip is to use some sort of brightening mask that contains vitamin C. Vitamin C will wake up your complexion and leave your skin looking glowing. I have been using the fresh - Vitamin C Glow Face Mask (sample size) in the mornings when my skin is looking dull. This citrus marmalade smelling and looking mask is easy and fun to apply. It contains AHAs such as orange, lemon, and clementine extracts to gently smooth + glow. After about 10 minutes, my complexion looks refreshed and plumped. I like this mask a lot but won’t repurchase because Fresh is not cruelty-free. This mask retails for $62 for 3.3oz or $25 for 1oz at Sephora, but you can use any vitamin C-enriched mask you’ve got at home! Pro tip: Use the eye gels and mask together to save time! About my skin: dryyyyy and acne-prone
Spa Day Essentials
Here are three products I got earlier this year from Sephora that I thought I would my updated thought on!! 💜@CAUDALIE - Instant Foaming Cleanser caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser I’ve used this up so much! It’s so good and gentle on my skin. It foams up but it isn’t stripping so I can use this even in the morning without feeling dry. I would definitely repurchase this cause I think I could use this at any time of the year! 💚fresh - Vitamin C Glow Moisturizer freshbeauty Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream I’m trying use this cream before it gets really cold here since it is more lightweight! Love it as a day cream since it’s so light but still feels occlusive. Definitely a great night cream for oily skin too! I don’t think I would repurchase this right now since I want to try other skincare, but definitely a nice cream that makes your skin glow. Plus it smells like candy which I love but probably not great if you have sensitive skin haha 💜FARMACY - Bright On Massage-Activated Vitamin C Mask @farmacy Bright On Massage Activated Vitamin C Mask This mask is nice, my skin feels really soft after I use it. It goes on purple and then when rubbed in, it turns green which is pretty cool. I think my overall complexion looks more even and the texture is smoother since its a clay mask. It didn’t irritate me but I don’t think I would recommend this mask to those with sensitive skin.
Been loving using these products lately! What have you been loving during the month of August? 💚 💚 @belifcanada Bergamot Herbal Extract Toner is lightweight but still very hydrating! It contains bergamot and sage to help soothe and hydrating the skin! I love using this in my routine to make my skin look more plump and supple. 💚 @deciem The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% is great for brightening up my complexion. It has a more oily texture that feels warm on the skin so I prefer using this serum at night. I noticed that my skin overall is really bright when I am consistent with using this. 💚 @freshbeauty Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream has become one of my favourite summer moisturizers! Its lightweight but still is a great occlusive. Makes my skin really bright and glowy! 💚 @missha.official @misshacanada Time Revolution Artemsia Treatment Essence: I have been using this product daily for about two months now and have noticed that it really helps soothe the skin. I also noticed a reduction in the amount of breakouts I got on my cheeks and forehead.

Face Oils for Acne
This oil is a quick-absorbing facial oil that is enhanced with tea tree oil and plant-derived squalane. It is used to help target blemishes, pores, redness, and acne. This oil contains tea tree oil which helps to purify and calm skin, squalane which helps moisturize, and rosemary extract which helps to prevent oxidation of oil on the skin. This oil is super lightweight and not greasy at all! It also has a natural scent of tea tree oil which isn’t overpowering at all. So I have been using this product for about a few months now and I love it! It has quickly become one of my holy grail products which I constantly reach for. The thing I love most about this oil is that it does everything! I love using this facial oil if my skin is feeling super dry and dehydrated or even if I have any texture or blemishes on my skin. I also saw immediate results after using this oil for about 3-4 times a week. I would definitely recommend this product to others! I have seen so many other facial oils that are more expensive than this Biossance oil, yet aren’t as effective. This oil helps combat so many different skin problems which helps justify the price! This oil retails for $49 on Sephora!

Bye! Acne Scars!! Thanks to Korres!!!
My skin type: I have combination-oily, acne-prone, sensitive skin. I bought the wild rose oilKORRES - Wild Rose Brightening Absolute-Oiland day cream KORRES - Natural Wild Rose Vitamin C Day Cream For Combination Skin and use them together as a set. Although it is called day cream, I use it together with wild rose oil at night. The combination of these two Korres products works excellent! This exactly what I want for clearing my acne scars. I have to say that I don't like the smell of this oil, but my acne marks actually faded in just three days! Compare with the effect, the smell doesn't bother my any more. 😉 Both of them are very gentle on face, don't irritate my skin at all super friendly to sensitive skin. How to use: Apply lotion after your nightly cleanse, then apply three or four drops of Korres oil on your acne marks and massage until it's fully absorbed. After that, gently apply some of the Korres cream on your skin. It will all be absorbed easily and it doesn't leave your face very greasy when you wake up the next day, and you will find your acne scars faded like magic and your skin brightened up!

Sheet Mask for Redness!
Innisfree - My Real Squeeze Sheet Mask (Rice) Product Function: This sheet mask is supposed to help for a clearer and more translucent-looking complexion. It is a creamy sheet mask made from eucalyptus fibers that is soaked in nourishing ingredients from rice for clearer, more translucent-looking skin. Product target Concerns: This is good for all skin types, but would be good for people with irritated skin, dry skin, or dealing with redness. Rice water contains ingredients such as ferulic acid, an antioxidant that is known for being inflammatory. The cooling sensation from using rice water helps to contract red blood vessels and pores, which ultimately reduce redness, clear acne, and soothe irritated skin. Texture/Consistency: This has a creamy and milky consistency and that mask is made of eucalyptus fibers. Overall Opinion: I really enjoyed the sheet mask, especially since the cut-out and shape of the mask fit my face more compared to other Korean sheet masks where the eye, nose, and mouth hole is too small or narrow. I put this on after using a blackhead peel and it really helped to calm down my skin and when I took it off, my skin was noticibly less red. My skin also felt really cool and hydrated. Would I Recommend?: I would recommend using the sheet masks from Innisfree because they are 100% biodegradable and made out of recycled eucalyptus fibers. It costs $1.80 per mask, so if you are looking for a quick and easy way to hydrate, calm, brighten, etc. your skin, then this would be a good option. Rating: innisfree - My real squeeze mask
innisfree-My real squeeze mask
This is described as a lightweight oil that is deeply moisturizing and smooths fine lines and wrinkles. It includes ingredients such as buckwheat honey, sea buckthorn oil, and a blend of five flower oils. It also contains fractionated coconut oil, and Farmacy is careful to note that the oil has been tested by an independent lab and is noncomedogenic (meaning it won’t clog pores). I won this oil in a giveaway, and admittedly I was still very nervous to put it on my face because I’ve had issues with coconut oil causing acne before (those oils were not fractionated). I started by using a few drops of this on my hair, as Farmacy says can be done to tame flyaways. I’ve also used this on some spots of eczema on my arms, and it’s definitely helped moisturize them and keep the scaliness stress bay. Farmacy also says you can blend this with your foundation, but but since my foundation is already an oil, I haven’t tried that. I have since used this on my face a few times, and I’m happy to report that I haven’t experienced any breakouts! It’s very moisturizing. The texture is definitely a thick oil, much thicker than any I’ve ever used before, and it feels luxurious. It also smells like straight up honey, which is incredible. At the end of the day, I really like this product, but I’m not sure if I’ll purchase it once this one is empty. It’s definitely luxurious, and I like that it can be used on my hair, face, and body, but I tend to prefer squalane oils since my skin isn’t super dry. At $48 for 1oz, this is pricier than many oils, but it is unique. I would recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a soothing oil to target very dry skin.
FARMACY-Honey Grail Ultra-Hydrating Face Oil
Farmacy launched Honey Grail ultra-hydrating face oil . 🐝 I don’t necessarily agree with the lightweight and fast absorption description as this is a thick, hydrating oil that moisturizes and gives a big glow to the skin. It’s got coconut, abyssinian, evening primrose, sunflower, hibiscus, crambe, rosehip & sea buckthorn oils with Farmacy’s proprietary buckwheat honey, propolis & royal jelly . 🐝I love the benefits honey has for the skin. It’s antibacterial and antiseptic so it helps with blemish prone skin and pores. We actually use honey in wound care as it’s lightly exfoliating from the natural enzymes and because of its antibacterial nature. It has loads of antioxidants, flavonoids and nutrients so it’s anti-aging. Honey also has sugar which acts as a humectant moisturizing the skin. Honey also is anti-inflammatory so it’s calming and soothing. It’s perfect for every skin type . 🐝I loved everything about this oil minus the coconut oil. Even when coconut oil is refined it still breaks me out on day four. It’s my one of my two skincare nemesis. I still test it out cause you never know and skin changes. So ultimately I found this to be a really nice hair oil. Plus it’s great for my body on the rough areas. This baby is thick and super nourishing. It’s one of the most moisturizing facial oils in my collection. This one is be great for dry ski
