My intensely hydrating morning skincare routine!

This cruelty free serum with Strawberry fruit & seed extract & kakadu plum is amazing. I’m few pumps away from emptying and ready for a full review💯 It has a liquid like gel texture & soothes into skin in few seconds. It’s hydrating on skin especially if you layer with a medium thickness moisturizer✨ I use this on my night routine. Sometimes vitamin c products irritate my skin but this didn’t irritate my skin at all. It’s super gentle🥰 After finishing this bottle, I’m certain I will reach for another. According to Volition, this product helps “boost collagen production and controls excess oil to reveal radiant, glowing skin”. 🍓 also contain antioxidants, and mixed with Kakadu plum — which is also high in vitamin C— this serum also helps reduce redness and unclog pores. This also contains hyaluronic acid :) VOLITION - Strawberry-C Brightening Serum This serum is suitable for all skin types. My skin type is normal. After using it I do notice my skin looking healthy and hydrated but I have yet to see much in terms of brightening. You can use this serum both morning and night but I usually use it in the AM. I find it layers well with other serums because it so lightweight. All you need is a pea-size amount. The one downside of this serum is that it does not smell like strawberries. It contains cucumber water and smells light cucumber to me. It’s a little misleading but the smell isn’t over powering at all. This product retails for $60 CAD which is quite expensive for a serum in my opinion. I’m giving it 4 stars because I like that it’s hydrating but haven’t seen many results in terms of brightness. However, this may be a good product for those with sensitive skin and hyperpigmentation of scarring. I don’t think I love this product enough to repurchase given the price and having used more effective brightening vitamin C serums, but that doesn’t mean I’m not enjoying it. I do like the hydration aspect.

2020 is coming to a close. I think we are all very hopeful for a better 2021. 2020 has been challenging year. But, as hard as it has been for me having a newborn & a toddler at home during two lockdowns now (Ontario is officially locked down today again), it has also given me LOTS of time with my kids, a HUGE appreciation for stay at home moms, and appreciating all the things I took for granted like seeing friends & family at Christmas. Here’s my @cherie2020 Top 5 1. Product My favourite has been SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment I received it in a sample bag from Sephora and was blown away by the results. It’s a 7 % lactic acid treatment in a milky serum consistency. It also contains licorice root extract. You really can notice it smooth & brighten your skin in 3 minutes! I haven’t bought the full size yet. It retails for $112 CAD for 1oz. But when my sample runs out I think this one is worth the money! (The sample is .25oz and I’ve been using it once a week for about 6 weeks and I might have one use left) 2. Trend Does Vitamin C count as a trend? I only started my skincare journey 6 months ago. I didn’t really know anything about skincare ingredients. Now I’ve bought two Vitamin C serums, an eye cream, and face wash! Vitamin C is powerful antioxidant that helps give you brighter, tighter, and overall more radiant looking skin. I definitely have noticed a difference since starting use to Vitamin C serums! Now I take care of my skin, so even without make-up I look brighter and I also take 5 minutes to put on a little make-up, even if it is just to walk the kids to the park and it makes me feel a lot better about my appearance. Here are three products I got earlier this year from Sephora that I thought I would my updated thought on!! 💜@CAUDALIE - Instant Foaming Cleanser caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser I’ve used this up so much! It’s so good and gentle on my skin. It foams up but it isn’t stripping so I can use this even in the morning without feeling dry. I would definitely repurchase this cause I think I could use this at any time of the year! 💚fresh - Vitamin C Glow Moisturizer freshbeauty Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream I’m trying use this cream before it gets really cold here since it is more lightweight! Love it as a day cream since it’s so light but still feels occlusive. Definitely a great night cream for oily skin too! I don’t think I would repurchase this right now since I want to try other skincare, but definitely a nice cream that makes your skin glow. Plus it smells like candy which I love but probably not great if you have sensitive skin haha 💜FARMACY - Bright On Massage-Activated Vitamin C Mask @farmacy Bright On Massage Activated Vitamin C Mask This mask is nice, my skin feels really soft after I use it. It goes on purple and then when rubbed in, it turns green which is pretty cool. I think my overall complexion looks more even and the texture is smoother since its a clay mask. It didn’t irritate me but I don’t think I would recommend this mask to those with sensitive skin.

Been loving using these products lately! What have you been loving during the month of August? 💚 💚 @belifcanada Bergamot Herbal Extract Toner is lightweight but still very hydrating! It contains bergamot and sage to help soothe and hydrating the skin! I love using this in my routine to make my skin look more plump and supple. 💚 @deciem The Ordinary Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% is great for brightening up my complexion.  It has a more oily texture that feels warm on the skin so I prefer using this serum at night. I noticed that my skin overall is really bright when I am consistent with using this. 💚 @freshbeauty Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream has become one of my favourite summer moisturizers! Its lightweight but still is a great occlusive. Makes my skin really bright and glowy! 💚 @missha.official @misshacanada Time Revolution Artemsia Treatment Essence: I have been using this product daily for about two months now and have noticed that it really helps soothe the skin. I also noticed a reduction in the amount of breakouts I got on my cheeks and forehead.

For this routine, I used almost all gel products because they’re light-weight and don’t leave your skin feeling like you’ve just used 6 products. Plus, with it being summer I don’t like using anything too heavy. All of the above products are very gentle and hydrating and leave my skin with such a nice glow. I think this is great for those with normal-combination skin. Like I’ve said in previous posts, I always use hyaluronic acid after cleansing my face. What’s better than waking up and starting your day off with a clean, hydrated face? I also love the wide awake brightening eye cream because it is a gel-formulation and it doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy and just smells lovely. The vitamin C cream just gives the nicest glow when used in conjunction with these products or on its own. It’s my go-to the last couple of weeks! Vitamin C in the summer just feels right haha. Antioxidants are the best! And my favourite face cream is the extra dry Neutrogena hydro boost. It’s fragrance free and hydrates your skin, leaving is so soft to the touch and doesn’t cause any irritation. And because it’s summer and I used vitamin C, I had to follow with sunscreen. I chose to go with the spray as it’s quick and easy to use and super light on the skin. (I forgot to include a photo of the cleanser and sunscreen I used but will tag them below.
