The Boscia cactus water moisturizer is an ultra light weight fast absorbing moisturizer that gives thirsty skin a sip of instant hydration for a soft, smooth, and simple complexion! It can be solutions for dryness, dullness, uneven texture, and loss of firmness and elasticity. The texture of this is a refreshing thick gel that feels so cooling on your face. I have used this for about 10 months and really like it in the summer time because after being in the sun it feels so refreshing to put this on after. I got it in a set with two other boscia items that I also love! It is very hydrating, didn’t break me out, and gave me awesome results with my dry skin! I would recommend this to all skin types and to try out definitely in the summer for the really nice cooling effect! It is worth the $38 for 1.61oz of product that will last a while! The Kiehls calendula serum infused water cream is a weightless water cream infused with concentrated calendula serum! It can be solutions for dryness, dullness, and uneven texture! It is best for normal to oily skin types. The texture of this is a lightweight gel-cream, that feels like a drink of water on your face! I absolutely love this cream but is definitely geared toward oily skin types! I received it as a promo code on Sephora about 5 months ago and it is amazing! It is very hydrating, didn’t break me out, and I didn’t see big results because my skin is on the dryer side and this is geared more for oily skin types! I would recommend this to others because it does have an amazing texture and feeling on the face it also smells so fresh. It is worth the $50 for 1.7oz for people with oily skin! The tatcha water cream is recommended for oily, normal to oily, pores, and anti-aging!! It is an oil-free , anti-aging water cream that releases a burst of skin-improving Japanese nutrients, powerful botanicals and optimal hydration for pure, poreless skin! It works because it is a unique water-burst cream breaks upon application to deeply deliver treatment benefits, hydrating without leaving skin sticky or greasy. It’s powerful ingredient, Japanese Wild Rose, visibly tightens pores and smoothes skin texture!! Also it is, Non-comedogenic, Non-irritating, Non-sensitizing, Dermatologist tested, and Cruelty-free! Additionally, formulated without, Mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, sulfate detergents, parabens, and phthalates!! I love this because it is great for the summer since it does not leave my skin oily or greasy! It is a bit pricey but if you have had issues with pores or any other of its benefits I think it is worth it! It is $68 for 1.7 ounces. It also smells very good and the texture feels very cool to the touch! I think it is worth it, the tatcha water cream is amazing and is so worth the price, they have amazing ingredients and antioxidant properties, and they are always right on there claims! The Boscia is also pretty good and is at a great price point to! That is my second favorite by far! The Kiehls is definitely not worth $50 at all! It is no where near as good as tatcha! It makes my skin feel oily and greasy and just doesn’t do anything good for my dry skin! But the Boscia is an amazing affordable option of the tatcha water cream! boscia - Cactus Water Moisturizer

✨Moisturizers for oily/combo skin ✨
boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer (PR) This gel cream is amazing if you’re looking for a burst of hydration on the skin. It absorbs fast into the skin but still feels occlusive and moisturizing. I noticed that this makes my skin look really plump and smooth. It also has soothing and cooling effect on my skin so its great for those with sensitive or acne prone skin. Fresh Vitamin C Glow Moisturizer This has more of a cream texture but its pretty lightweight. This absorbs nicely into the skin and really helps make the skin look less dull. This does have a strong, fruity fragrance so I wouldn’t recommend this to those with sensitive or acne prone skin. I feel like this would be great moisturizer for oily skin during the winter or during your night routine. Vegreen 730 Daily Moisture Cream (PR) This also has a thicker cream texture, but I think it would work great for oily/combo skin since it doesn’t leave a very dewy finish and it absorbs pretty fast! This has a very simple ingredients list and is fragrance free so this would be great for sensitive/acne prone skin. Be plain Hyaluronic Aqua Moisturizer (PR) This one also feels like a burst of hydration, this is another gel-type cream that absorbs fast. Although it is fast absorbing it leaves the skin feeling supple and moisturized without leaving a dewy/oily finish. This is another fragrance free cream that I think would work great for sensitive/acne prone skin.
Empties September- December 2020
These are some of my empties from the last few months. Here’s my quick review of them and whether I plan to repurchase: Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer My go-to moisturizer during the summer and got me through til September. I did a longer review of this on my page if you would like to read. Would I repurchase: Yes; and I plan to when it warms up again! FIRST AID BEAUTY - 5 in 1 Eye Cream Also did a review of this. It was hard to say if it did much, and therefore I don’t have much to speak of. Would I repurchase: No; there’s other eye creams on the market I prefer with a similar price, if not cheaper. Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo A cult favorite scalp scrub, and I see what the hype was as it definitely cleaned my scalp as a weekly refresher. I bought the 1oz size for $11 and was able to get about a month and a half worth of use from it (using it once a week). Would I repurchase: Probably not; the full size version is $42 and there are much more affordable scalp scrubs and clarifying products that give you similar results. boscia - Cactus Water Moisturizer I bought this to replace my hydroboost moistuizer as the seasons changed. I also did a longer review of this in comparison with Neutrogena as they’re both gel moisturizers. Would I repurchase: No; I wasn’t a fan of the tackiness and it didn’t seem worth the price point. fresh - Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer Fresh is one of those brands that is definitely pricey, but it shows in the quality of their products. You’re paying for a more luxurious feeling, and this moisturizer worked really well with both my oily skin, and the cold weather. Would I repurchase: Yes, and I already did! I got the full size version in the holiday set they had with their rose toner (which I also love). Not Pictured: HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Toner A solid, affordable toner. Check my page to read my full review of it. Would I repurchase: Yes; a great toner to have in my arsenal during the warmer months. Ayele&Co. - Sunflower sweets serum My go-to face oil (it’s called a serum but really it’s a face oil). I’ve been using this for years and it’s become a staple in my nighttime routine. This is compatible with oily, acne prone skin, and I truly think it’s helped my skin’s oil production level out. It helps seal in moisture overnight, and I think it’s given my skin a nice inner glow. Would I repurchase: Yes! Always! I cannot recommend this oil enough, especially if you have oily skin. Here’s to a new year and new beauty finds!

FA safe - using as night cream
Kiehl's - Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream This cream has a strong fragrance but I do like the smell!! It has no fungal acne triggers 💕 I was wearing this cream in the AM and PM but it’s kinda thick compared to the cream I usually wear which is innisfree - Jeju Cherry Blossom Dewy Glow Jelly Cream So I’m going to use it as a night face cream! It makes my skin feel silky smooth and hasn’t caused any breakouts 🥳 Has the ingredient - Propylene Glycol - which helps fight fungal acne breakouts + Panthenol which helps heal and is anti-inflammatory 🙌🏼 ^ I get my ingredient info from www.folliculitisscout.com
September Empties: mini edition!
Today I’m doing mini Monday a little different! I used up a ton of products in the month of September, including lots of mini’s while traveling. So today I’m featuring my thoughts on the mini’s I finished. Stay tuned for my full size empties tomorrow! ✨ . . 🤷🏽♀️ voir - Sunrise Rituals: Signature Shampoo voir - Sunset Rituals: Signature Conditioner : Nice but I have long hair and it’s really hard to tell my thoughts with a tiny packet! But it did smell amazing. . 👎🏼 ORIGINS - High-Potency Night-a-Mins Mineral-Enriched Oil-Free Renewal Cream : this is a nice thick moisturizer for night time. But I can’t get past the smell. It reminds me of some bad fruity drink I had in college 😂😬 . 👎🏼Kiehl's - Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream : this is just way too light weight and not moisturizing enough for my skin type. You might like this if you’re oily. . ❤️ philosophy - Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Shower, Bath & Shave Gel : yess this is the lemon custard and it smells soo good! . 👎🏼 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 30 : this is SO greasy I can’t stand it. . 🤷🏽♀️ DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream : I don’t get the hype behind this. It’s also too greasy for me. And I’m not supporting DE right now. . 🤷🏽♀️ Milk MAKEUP - Kush Lip Balm : I like it! But not extremely long lasting. It did melt and get messy though. Would maybe repurchase on sale. . 🤷🏽♀️ NARS - Climax Mascara : nice for volume but it dried out quickly and flaked a lot. . ❤️ CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm : yes really enjoyed this. Would get on sale. Probably will save this little tub to put some balm from my full sizes in for future travel! . ❤️ REDKEN - One United Multi-Benefit Treatment Spray : yes a solid leave in conditioner!

This $4 hand soap smells just like Tatcha!
If you love Tatcha products, you’re probably down with their included fragrance that is, in my opinion, quite similar across many products. I haven’t tried every Tatcha product, but I’ve tried a lot of them. This is such a good find! So affordable, but smells so luxe! 💎This particular “bluebell” hand soap by Mrs. Meyer’s smells exactly like the slightly floral, herbaceous scent of Tatcha creams, the Rice Wash, The Deep Cleanse & more. #Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day - Bluebell liquid hand soap[products]#[FiveStars] $3.99/12.5 oz So, in addition to smelling very luxury & expensive, like Tatcha, this is also a really good liquid hand soap. 🪴Mrs. Meyer’s site describes the scent as “garden fresh blue-violet & delicate floral fragrances” 🫒It’s not as drying as other hand soaps I’ve used the $2-$4 price range, thanks to olive oil & aloe. (Full ingredients in the slides) 🦋It only contains natural fragrances, & is free of Phthalates & Parabens. No dyes or artificial colors & it’s not tested on animals! No MEA or DEA. This brand is pretty easy to find, I know it’s often at Target!
Brand Spotlight: BLISS
Bliss is one of my favorite affordable drugstore clean and cruelty free brand. They are easily accessible, you find them at: Ulta, CVS, Target and Bliss.com, etc. I can’t help but love everything that I’ve tried from them. Here are current favorites and must haves: Left to right: bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Toner + Serum A mixture between toner and serum this is an awesome toner that is alcohol free, vegan, and packed with skin calming and pore refining ingredients : BHA, niacinamide, zinc and cica. bliss - Bright Idea Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Collagen Protecting & Brightening Moisturizer My day/ night cream depending on my mood and what serums I’m using. Sinks in the skin well and has great texture. bliss - Drench & Quench Moisturizer This is comparable to TATCHA - The Water Cream very lightweight but pack a lot of moisture. It leaves my skin feeling a bit tacky which I love as a base before my primer and make up. bliss - Rose Gold Rescue Moisturizer All times favorite basic moisturizer for day and night. I usually use this when either my skin has a break out and I have to go back to basics or when I’m using retinol or some other harsh serums. bliss - Renew & Smooth Night Serum If you are new to glycolic acids or AHAs this is a great beginner’s choice. For me I thought this quite a gentle formula... I didn’t feel any discomfort or irritation. bliss - Fabulips Lip Scrub This is my first lip scrub... so I don’t know if it’s good or not. It’s not bad. It’s moisturizing, exfoliating and didn’t taste bad. 😋 Clean product: 🌱No Parabens 🌱No Alcohol 🌱No Sulfates 🌱No Nuts 🌱No Oils 🌱No Silicones 🐰Cruelty Free 🐰 Vegan Have you tried any of their product? Tell me your favorites below. Thank you. Be Kind, Stay Beautiful
TATCHA Water Cream
WHAT IT IS? J-Beauty Face Moisturizer PRODUCT TARGET CONCERNS: Targets dryness, dullness, uneven texture and pores. For oily, combination, normal and sensitive skin types. TEXTURE/CONSISTENCY: White water cream. (Gel-cream texture) OVERALL THOUGHTS: I absolutely LOVE this cream. This is definitely Holy Grail category for me. Even that it’s not targeted for my particular skin type (I’m dry) it works perfectly for me. It makes my skin silky smooth and hydrated. I love using it especially during summer months because of it’s lightweight consistency. WHY I LIKE/DISLIKE IT: I love how it makes my skin smoother, silky soft and hydrated. And I love the lightweight consistency and lastly the packaging is gorgeous. WOULD I RECOMMEND IT ? 100% yes. One of the best Tatcha products. TATCHA-The Water Cream
Empty: Tatcha Water Cream
Suitable Skin Types: Normal Oily Combo Sensitive Solutions: Dryness Pores Dull & Uneven Texture What It Is: Oil-free, anti-aging water cream that releases a burst of “skin-improving” Japanese nutrients, powerful botanicals, and optimal hydration for poreless-looking skin. The water cream provides nutrient-rich, balanced hydration with the unique water-burst that breaks upon application to deliver nourishment without leaving skin sticky or greasy. It clarifies and refines skin with pure, powerful Japanese botanicals: Japanese leopard lily helps control excess oil and purify skin by supporting natural skin turnover; and hadasei-3— an anti-aging trinity of green tea, rice and algae— restores healthy-looking radiance. The formula imparts subtle, shine-free glow with a touch of 23-karat gold. My Thoughts: After trying a sample size I bought the full size. After the first use I did notice my skin felt hydrated but not greasy. My pores did seem to shrink as time went on. I loved the thin water-like consistency was great for my oily skin. I felt by the end of the pot my skin was softer, more supple, my pores are noticeably smaller and my hydration level has increased, almost erasing my oily skin. This is a wonderful moisturizer with wonderful benefits, is it worth the price tag of $68, yes and no; I’m sure you can find something cheaper that gives you a similar effect, unless you just want it to display (because it is eye pleasing) I’d say try the $20 jar and see for yourself. I do feel it lives up to the claims made by Tatcha.
TATCHA-The Water Cream
Ole Henriksen Vitamin c gel moisturizer
OLE HENRIKSEN - C-Rush Vitamin C Gel Moisturizer One of my favorite moisturizers, especially in spring and summer. The texture is a gel which means it’s super lightweight and feels a little cooling on the skin. I personally didn’t see any brightening effects from just this, but I just love the texture, smell and feeling on my skin. It’s so lightweight but still moisturizing which is what I need. This is such a staple and I would repurchase it for the warmer months in the future! Would recommend for normal to oily skin, the cream version might work better for dry skin!
OLE HENRIKSEN-C-Rush Vitamin C Gel Moisturizer
Kiehls ultra facial cream!
The Kiehls ultra facial cream is a face moisturizer that’s free of parabens, sulfates, and carbamide, and delivers 24 hours of hydration! It can be solutions for dryness, dullness, and uneven texture. The texture of this is a lightweight cream that is so moisturizing for winter time! I have used this product for about a year and really love it, it is definitely a staple in my skincare routine! I bought it my self from just seeing it on social media and on Sephora’s app! It didn’t break me out, it is so hydrating and I saw great results in my skins dryness. I would 100% recommend this to anyone with dry or normal skin types you would fall in love with how much it really helps dryness! It is really worth the price of $32 for 1.7oz witch is the size of most moisturizers!🐚🤍Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cream

TATCHA - The Water Cream Alright, let’s be real, we’ve seen the Tatcha Watercream on everyone’s shelfie but for good reason! I’ve been using this moisturizer for years and have turned multiple friends to it. Its lightweight, melts into your face, pairs well with other skin products like oils, serums, and toners. It starts out as a light texture then once you rub it in it melts into watery goodness and sinks in your skin. I have oily/combo/dehydrated skin and even my dry skin friends love it. You feel immensely hydrated, plump, luxurious, and glowy. Tatcha is known for their holy trinity of green tea, rice, and algae that provide results. This unique formula breaks into a watery consistency without leaving the skin sticky or greasy. Contains Japanese wild rose to vis ugly tighten pores and smooth skin texture; Japanese’s leopard lily to control oil and purify skin for natural skin turnover; and hadasei 3 an anti-aging trinity of green tea, rice and algae to give radiance. Targets pores, dryness, and dull and uneven texture. It leaves a subtle, shine-free glow. I highly recommend it for oily, sensitive skin because it is so light yet moisturizing. The full tube is priced at $68 for $50ml but its soooo worth.

My favorite product to get rid of redness!
The drunk elephant protini polypeptide moisturizer is a protein moisturizer that combines an unprecedented array and concentration of actives for improvement in the appearance of skins tone, texture, and firmness! It can be solutions for redness, loss of firmness and elasticity, dryness, and dullness and uneven texture. It is great for normal, oily, dry, and combination skin types! The texture of this moisturizer is a thick gel cream, that is very cooling on the skin. I really love using this at night and have been using it for about a year because I purchased the littles set from drunk elephant that came with this. It is very very hydrating and didn’t break me out, I had great results in my skins redness when I woke up the next morning! I would definitely recommend this to others that are looking for something to really help with redness. It is very worth it because it has amazing results and works very good. It is more pricey, it’s $68 for 1.69oz but will last a good amount of time!🐬❄️DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
