Sunday Riley Empties!

I freaking love this brand! Their marketing, packaging, and products continue to impress me as I try new things. SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil
probably the least favorite product I’ve tried from Sunday Riley. I mainly just didn’t feel like it sunk into my skin, and left me oily, which is something I definitely don’t want in the mornings when I am applying vitamin C. SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip Cleanser
just meh. Don’t love the consistency or color (like a murky gray color??) it was fine as a cleanser, but I didn’t find anything special about it. SUNDAY RILEY - Ice Ceramide Moisturizing Cream
this stuff is good, just a little heavier than I tend to use. I know ceramides are great for retaining skin moisture, but since my skin leans oily, it just was a bit much for me! I like the consistency and clean feel though! SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream
I love this stuff!!! Favorite vitamin c product I’ve tried so far. It works great as a morning moisturizer in the morning, and sinks in to my skin great as a base for my makeup!! Big fan. SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment
there’s nothing I can say about this stuff that hasn’t already been said by everyone else. I truly saw a difference in pores, brightness, and just general appearance of my skin quickly after beginning to use this. Super happy with it. SUNDAY RILEY - Luna Sleeping Night Oil
amazing. I love this as an intro to retinol, and it has had no negative effects since it’s so gentle! I love the smell, the blue color, and will continue to buy this as long as they will sell it to me!

My Beauty Year in Review
I think everyone can say 2020 has been a challenging year, but with lots of opportunity for growth. In February I had my daughter. 4 weeks later Ontario was locked down, everything but non-essential businesses were closed, including schools & daycares, so I had my 3 year old son home and 4 week old home with me with no support (no grandparent visits, drop-ins etc). And, what started as a 3 week lockdown turned into months. I’m not going to lie it was difficult at first. I was exhausted. It felt like I had no time for myself. I was going from when they woke up at 6:30am till bedtime at 8:30pm (plus night feedings 😴) But we’ve adjusted to this “new normal” and the biggest blessing of this year was the arrival of my daughter and all the extra time with my family. The picture on the top right is what pushed me to start my skincare journey. It was a good day. I started carving out “me” time by going for a run, but when I looked at the picture all I saw was my crows feet and how tired I looked. I had the CLINIQUE - 3-Step Introduction Kit for Drier Skin (Type 2) in my cupboard, but have to admit I was rarely using it. Sometimes using the cleanser in the shower. Grabbing the lotion if my skin felt dry. I wasn’t wearing any makeup. I wasn’t taking care of myself. I decided I wanted to buy some anti-aging skincare because I wasn’t ready for wrinkles. And I decided it was okay to spend money on myself. I turned to Clinique because it was the brand I had always used. I ordered: CLINIQUE - Smart Custom-Repair Serum CLINIQUE - All About Eyes Later this fall when I was running low I started researching more about skincare and stumbled upon Cherie 🍒 This has been a great resource, teaching me what I should incorporate into my routine (i.e., Vit C, AHAs), and reading honest reviews. I now look forward to my AM & PM routine. I’ve started doing a quick 5min make-up routine (see previous post), and found a creative outlet posting here about my journey. The bottom right picture is recent. I am would say I am just as tired as the other pictures (my baby still is getting up every 3hrs at night!), but I’m taking care of my skin and I feel much better about myself. Skincare has become my self care this year! Here are a couple new products I discovered and loved: SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment You really see your face brighten & get smoother before your eyes! SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil Loved the wake me up scent & morning glow The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil I wake up with my skin feeling soft & rejuvenated

5 Minute 5 Product Make-up Routine
With an endless lockdown and having a baby in February I went months without wearing any make-up. It was an easy excuse. Im exhausted and Im not going anywhere, why bother 🤷🏻‍♀️ What I’ve learned is that taking care of my skin and finding a couple extra minutes to myself in the morning to put on some make-up has become my daily self-care. It’s about ME and makes me feel better. Here’s my quick 5 Minute 5 Product morning make-up routine: To start, nothing looks better than glowing skin. Here are a couple products I use as part of my skincare routine but go a long way to making my skin look better are: CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Exfoliating Scrub A gentle daily scrub cream that polishes away dead skin cells for a smooth face SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment Skip a primer and use this treatment! The claim is that it gives you smoother, brighter skin in 3 minutes and let me tell you it’s true!! SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil I love this face oil in the morning. I find it instantly brightens my face and gives me a sun kissed look. I use right before my bb cream. And I love the citrus smell as a little extra to perk me up. My Make-Up Routine: SEPHORA COLLECTION - Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer 🙋🏻‍♀️Tired mom over here. I need the extra help to cover up my dark circles. It’s lighter coverage than I would want but blends great and feels very light smashbox - Camera Ready BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 35 My multitasker, spf, moisturizer, sheer coverage Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek A little on my cheeks and a little on my lips for a pop of colour and add a little life to my face SEPHORA COLLECTION - SEPHORA COLLECTION Brow Builder I love that this is super easy to use. Fills in my natural brows for a more finished look. CLINIQUE - High Impact Lash Elevating Mascara Last step a little mascara. I’ve received these in bonus bags for years. It’s a great everyday mascara. And you are done!

Addition to Winter ❄️ Skincare Routine 🍊
Hey there! I hope you’re having a great week so far. I know that the last few weeks have been crazy in the US 🇺🇸 at least due to the election and everything. I received the Sunday Riley CEO Vitamin C Hydration Cream on my Boxy premium back in August. SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream It was still quite hot in California around that time with multiple heat waves and decided to take this off my routine. It made my face super oily despite having dry skin. However, it started getting cold around mid-October and that’s when I added this to my morning routine. This has a high potency of Vitamin C and claims to fight visible signs of aging while helping with dryness. This is perfect for the colder months because it is thick and fixes my dry patches quickly. It also feels like butter on skin. My skin feels quickly moisturized and prepped in the morning. I also LOVE how this smells. It smells like freshly squeezed orange juice. I use this right after I apply my Vitamin C serum from Drunk Elephant. I don’t use this at night because I want to avoid mixing vitamin C with AHA/BHA and glycolic acid. I use those ingredients on my night time routines So far this made a huge difference on my skin. Not only it helps with moisturizing, but it makes my skin glow for hours. This item is a bit pricey however. It retails for $65 USD. Though pricey, I will definitely re-purchase. What additions have you made to your winter skincare routine? Xoxo, Francesca 💋

Here comes the sun ☀️
Some favorites that bring a dose of sunshine to my skin! ☀️ ☀️☀️ bliss - Bright Idea Serum Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Collagen Protecting & Brightening Serum this is a new addition to my routine but I’m digging it so far. It has a great packaging, great texture, and it’s a decent price for the size! Don’t want to comment too much on the effects yet since it’s a new purchase ☀️☀️☀️ Glossier. - Balm Dotcom love this stuff, particularly the mango flavor. It smells so yummy and it has the added bonus of working as a cuticle cream as well! ☀️☀️☀️ SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil used this whole sample, but just didn’t love it for some reason. The oil was super thin, so application wasn’t the easiest. I felt like it left my skin super oily, which I don’t love in the mornings under my makeup. If it was a night product, I may have a different opinion. Won’t be purchasing. ☀️☀️☀️ SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream freakin love this cream. I use it as the last step in my morning routine, and it is the perfect texture cream. Sinks in quickly and really does brighten! ☀️☀️☀️ OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème jury’s still out on this one. At first I really did not like the texture...unlike anything I’ve ever used. Over time, it has grown on me, since it has an opaque look on the skin. Cant tell if it makes a huge difference on my dark circles though. ☀️☀️☀️ SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Bum Bum Cream love this, duh ☀️☀️☀️ EARTH HARBOR - Sunshine Dew Antioxidant Cleansing Oil new purchase and I love it already! Smells like sunshine and does a great job for a first cleanse. ☀️☀️☀️ TULA SKINCARE - Daily Sunscreen Gel Broad Spectrum SPF 30 this is great for sun protection, especially because it also blocks blue light. However, it leaves a super shiny tint on my face and pills off if mixed with other products. Not sure I’d buy again.

🧼 Ceramic Slip Cleanser! 🧼
Follow my skincare Instagram for more content! @skincare_by_reba 😍 🧼 Let’s talk 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬! 🧼⁣ ⁣⁣ 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭? This is SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip CleanserAccording to the SR site, it is a “Gentle, plant-based cleanser pulls out impurities while pulling in clean hydration, for smaller-looking pores and a clean, radiant complexion.”⁣ ⁣ 𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: I’m big on finding a cleanser that works and sticking to it. That’s why I was hoping I’d love this one - and I do! I was nervous that the green clay would dry me out, but it truly doesn’t. My face feels fresh and hydrated after using it, and not at all tight or dried out. It is perfect to wake me up in the mornings and awesome as a second cleanse after Blue Moon to start of a nighttime routine!⁣ ⁣⁣ 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: $35 for 5oz sounds like a lot for a cleanser. BUT, I’m still on my first bottle that I purchased in September and have used it most mornings & nights. According to the amazing @skincare.routine.app I’ve used it about 145 times and I’m just starting to near the end. If you aren’t sure you want to commit to 5oz, they also sell the 1oz travel size in several of their amazing kits! I’d highly recommend the Flash Fix kit if you haven’t tried Good Genes either - just $25 for two amazing products 😍⁣ ⁣ 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘳?

New Cleanser Review! ✨🌸
🌿I have been using this Cleanser for a few weeks now, morning and night, and alternating with my Clarisma Cleanser. 🌾SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip Cleanser This is gentle, plant-based cleanser is amazingly smooth and hydrating to cleanse with! Just using this as a sole cleanser, morning and night, keeps my skin feeling soft immediately after washing off every time. I love the earthy natural smell and the creamy texture. The key ingredients are used to gently clean your pores without stripping the skin! 🌱This cleanser claims to remove dirt, oil, pollution and makeup! (I don't wear makeup so I couldn't tell you if that parts true 🤷🏻) So thankful that I won a @cheriespotlight last month to receive this gem I probably would have never thought to buy myself!! ♡✨🌸

Quick reviews on samples
To take a page from my friend @Mallorywho does #samplesaturday - sharing mine a day late 🤗 To purchase list (TPL)- YES or NO? alpyn beauty - PlantGenius Melt Moisturizer While I only got two 2 of this in 1 day, am & pm, I was able to determine it’s not for me. The scent was off-putting, a very natural scent which I wouldn’t mind if it didn’t linger. It’s also got some oils in it that can be irritating. At $60 this is a very pricey moisturizer. It claims the benefits of Bakuchiol (retinol alternative), Squalane and Vitamin C BUT you don’t see these ingredients until over half way through the ingredient list! TPL - NO REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm $49 I really liked this. I like to really moisturize up at night so I would add my nightly moisturizer and top off with a thin layer of this balm. I had no issues with a sticky mess and my hair (or pet hair) all over my face as I have had with a previous balm. One ⭐️ taken for fragrance. TPL - YES DIOR - Capture Dreamskin Care & Perfect A gorgeous primer/serum but incredibly overpriced at $120! Not as fragrant as some I’ve used before being it has the added fragrance but there are more reasonably priced options available, Tatcha’s primer even being half the price! TPL - NO TATCHA - The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream $60 This eye cream is THICK! It’s more like a balm that is meant to melt into your skin. For me it was hard to spread around my eye area. I would try to warm up between my fingers first but just didn’t find it easy to work with. I’m not a fan of using fragrance around my eyes either. While I love Tatcha I have other eye creams I’d rather use. I also did not like product in this type of container, very small and not sanitary given the texture. TPL - NO SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment $120. I believe I’ve talked about this one before. It is such a small sample but a tiny (pea-size) amount is only needed. So I was able to determine this was non-irritating to my skin. It’s got a pretty decent ingredient list except for the fragrance. I prefer using Farmacy’s Honeymoon Glow with AHA & BHA at half the price. TPL - NO Murad - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum $72. While I initially thought this was working for me I’ve realized it may have brightened some areas of skin but did not help fade or reduce my spots. A pretty simple serum to use with no issues in my routine. TPL - NO LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer $33 A HIGHLY popular toner that has a pretty simple ingredient list. I love a good hydrating toner and this hits the spot! It’s easy to transfer from my hands to my face and my skin drinks it up. I was able to add as many layers as I’d like without any side effects. Only downside is Laneige is not cruelty free. TPL - NO ❤️🍒

Weekly Treatment Schedule
I have a set, written down schedule for all my treatments for the month, because I have a really bad memory and find that if I don’t write stuff down I tend to over use or under use the products. This is how my routine was all through 2020, and have had no problem so far. I use The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane 3 times a week, on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Saturday’s. I’m pretty experienced when it comes to retinol, so I feel comfortable using it 3 times a week. This is also the only one of my schedules that isn’t set in stone. When my skin is feeling more sensitive, or is feeling very dry, I might only use this 2 times a week. I exfoliate using the YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner and the SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment 2 times a week on Tuesday’s and Sunday’s. I usually use these on the same days, but again, if my skin is feeling sensitive or dry, I will leave out the toner and just use the serum. I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution once a week for 10 minutes, I use this on Thursday’s and Friday’s are my resting day where I focus on repairing and hydrating my skin. 📍= product was sent to me for free

Hello hydration! A review of my moisturizers.
My skin type is dry, and I live in Southern California, where the air is often really dry. But, I think hydration is important, regardless of skin type. I try to emphasize hydration every day, and have used a few products that I thought I'd review. Let me know your thoughts! Day Time 111SKIN - Y Theorem Day Cream Light Nac Y2 My newest addition. Nice, medium-weight texture. Neutral smelll, feels hydrating. pūrlisse - Watermelon Aqua Balm Loved at first, before I had tried many other products. Has a nice watermelon smell. But the texture is definitely a little "balmy", and doesn't sink into your skin very quickly. it Cosmetics - Confidence in A Gel Lotion Weightless Moisturizer "Weightless" is definitely correct - The texture is super light and slight. Good for when you don't need anything too heavy, or if you don't have very dry skin. Day or Night AVEDA - Botanical kinetics hydrating lotion I've had a giant bottle of this for a while now. Great medium-weight, trusty moisturizer that I use when I run out of others or just want something that I know will work. Good for all skin types. Night Time LANEIGE - Water Bank Moisture Cream Heavier cream, almost lotion-like texture. Great for drier nights. dr botanicals - Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask Almost a lotion texture, but whipped up and aerated slightly. Nice smell and feeling. Label says to keep refrigerated for best results, use within 3 months, and use every few days. SUNDAY RILEY - Ice Ceramide Moisturizing Cream Not sure how I feel about this one. It looks like custard and smells like play-dough, but I've noticed that Sunday Riley products often have a bit of a smell, due to the ingredients and that SR doesn't use fragrance to cover it up (which is good!). I'm hesitant to use this cream all over my face, as its a bit thick and heavy. Instead, I use it more as an anti-wrinkle cream on my forehead. PureHeals - Ginseng Berry 80 Overnight Mask One of the only products I've repurchased. Great texture - almost gel-like, goes on easy but is still substantial and feels very hydrating. Smell is also great.

HERBIVORE - Lapis Blue Tansy Face Oil For Oily & Acne-Prone Skin Blue Tansy—provides antioxidants and soothes/ calms sensitivities, and Kukui Oil—fends off free radicals, balances serums, provides hydration and nourishment. Also contains moisturizing ingredients like plant based squalane, jojoba and vitamin E but if you’re in pinch and can’t spare the $72 (+tax) for 50ml bottle at Sephora. Just use nightly, a couple of drops on cleanse skin (after your toner, essence, serums, and other treatments). Massage in as (recommended on the packaging) in place of your facial moisturizer. Or apply it after your moisturizer. My skin having been loving this great product, my breakouts are less angry and red. And my skin doesn’t feel tight or dried out the morning after. I also can’t wait to test out the mask and report back! HERBIVORE - Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask Clean product: 🌱No Parabens 🌱No Alcohol 🌱No Sulfates 🌱No Petroleum Based Oils 🌱No Silicones 🐰Cruelty Free 🐰 Vegan Please let me know if you have tried this oil, and/or your favorite Herbivore products below. I have combination-dry and sensitive skin. I saw lots of people recommendingSUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatmentand theSUNDAY RILEY - Luna Sleeping Night Oil, both of which are known to effectively reduce bumps and exfoliate our skin, so I bought this set. But I don't really like using them. The Luna Sleeping Oil is a face oil. It is easily absorbed, hydrating, and moisturizing. It has a very convenient dropper and the oil itself is blue. However, it doesn't look blue on your face because it's easily absorbed once applied. It's actually quite effective if you use only the Luna Sleeping Oil as it's easily absorbed. It's moisturizing and it soothes dry skin. But this sleeping oil contains photosensitivity ingredients, so it can't be used in the morning. I don't like using the Sunday Riley Good Genes All-in-One Lactic Acid Treatment as it's so hard to use. It has a bad smell and I haven't seen any results yet. The official website suggested to first use the Luna Sleeping Oil for five minutes until fully absorbed and then follow it with the lactic acid treatment. But the combination becomes pasty and it's not easily absorbed. It even causes acne breakouts after a few days. I saw lots of people suggesting using these two products reversely and I tried that too, but it still became pasty. I will not repurchase this set.

What’s working for my dry/combo skin!
What’s working for my dry/combo skin!
I have combination skin that tends to be more dry. I’m fortunate that I don’t break out too much, just the occasional pimple here and there. I’ve spent a long time though trying out products and seeing what works for me. I’ve had great results at times and I’ve had terrible reactions from my “experiments” at other times. Lol These products are my “go to” products at the moment that have been giving me really flawless skin. fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner I have been using this toner for years and I love it! Seriously shrinks my pores and feels instantly hydrated. I always have this toner on hand. SHISEIDO - Ultimune Power Infusing Serum Concentrate I’ve also been using this serum for several years and feel like it gives my skin a great complexion. It just looks hydrated and healthy. This serum is suppose to be able to enhance your other serums if you apply it before but I usually don’t layer too many serums because I find that it becomes too much and clogs my pores. I have layered this one on occasion when I have severely dry skin but usually I just alternate serums. Elizabeth Arden - PREVAGE Anti-Aging Daily Serum This brand has been around for years and when I saw this line I had to try it because I was impressed with its key ingredients. It’s suppose to protect from environmental aggressors, free radicals, has time release technology, and is anti aging. I must admit, this serum makes my skin look flawless. I’m just not in love with the texture of it, it’s a little thick for me. I also feel like the packaging is cheap. I would recommend this but before I re-buy, there are a few products I’d like to try out first. Elizabeth Arden - Retinol Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum Now I’m in love with these capsules! It’s no wonder this serum has won so many awards. Everyone should be using retinol by their late 20s and this one keeps its potency by putting it in capsules and it’s just the perfect amount to cover your face and neck. I always wake up with a great looking complexion and never had a reaction to this one. I plan to keep this in my nighttime routine a long time. SAINT JANE - Luxury CBD Beauty Serum I loved the ingredients in this oil and was intrigued by the high dosage of CBD. I have liked wearing this oil and has a sleek bottle but it’s just not changing my skin enough for me to keep buying. When my skin is under control I really don’t struggle with breakouts or redness so I’m probably not the ideal buyer for this oil. Would recommend though. SUNDAY RILEY - Juno Antioxidant + Superfood Face Oil I’ve loved Sunday Riley for years now! This is my favorite oil so far. (Until I try Vintner’s Daughter.😂) Super hydrating and packed full of great ingredients! Skin always looks refreshed.

Squalane 💜 the six star skin savior
Squalane 💜 the six star skin savior
has the best options for squalane containing products. They use ethically & sustainably sourced squalane made from sugarcane. I first tried the squalane + phyto-retinol serum, and absolutely fell in love. I have repurchased twice and will definitely keep a bottle of this on hand at all times. The squalane oil 💯 saved my dry ass legs. Love how much my skin drinks you this oil, and hydration lasting through the day. Used a couple times in my hair, but prefer other hair oils. Prefer the squalane + rose oil for face. My face broke out when I first tried the micronutrient fine mist, stopped using it for about six months, but was fine after I reintroduced into my routine. The glycolic renew facial was super yummy. Spreads like butter. Will probably grab another mini, but have other masks I like more and a full size would expire before I used it up. Unfortunately the omega repair cream totally broke me out, so I won’t be repurchasing. Overall, I enjoy the majority of Biossance line, and highly recommend the phyto-retinol serum and squalane oil for body.

After years of testing beauty
After years of testing beauty and skincare products, Luna Sleeping Night Oil by sundayriley is one of a handful of products that has stood the test of time. Luna was the first Sunday Riley product that I purchased and the main reason behind my obsessive love for the brand. (My dog’s name is Luna ya’ll!) 😂 ✨ The magical blend of oils & retinol works wonders! A few drops at night before bed hydrates, smooths, reduces fine lines, brightens and improves texture. ✨ Luna gives you the benefits of retinol, without the dry skin & redness often associated with using it. I saw visible results after one use, but the effects of this oil over time are amazing. ✨ For acne prone skin, Luna is a miracle worker. As someone who has struggled with acne on and off for years, I’ve tried everything. I’ve yet to find a non-prescription product that works this hard against acne. It also fades acne scars & minimizes the appearance of pores. ✨ I really can’t say enough good things about Luna & really just wanted to reiterate my love for this product, as it’s been awhile since I’ve obsessed over it. I always get so excited about new products, while my tried & true, holy grail skincare bits don’t get the attention that they deserve here. I really just wanted to shout out one of my long-time loves, Luna.

Products That Make Me Glow! ☀️
Products That Make Me Glow! ☀️
I have sensitive combination skin so finding products that make me glow can be tough but I have found gentle products that work for me! Glowing isn’t just about exfoliation either. Vitamin C is brightening for skin so that helps with glow too! Here are some of my favorites: 1. Honeymoon Glow by Farmacy ✨ Key Ingredients- AHA, flower acids and honey ✨ Honeymoon Glow is an nighttime resurfacing serum that for me gets rid of breakouts and leaves me glowing the next morning. It tingles a bit when first applied but that quickly stops. I couldn’t go without this one and if I didn’t already have a back-up, I’d be repurchasing with the current Sephora sale! ✨ I like to use acids like this with a stronger nightly moisturizer like Healing Ointment by CeraVe! I use this maybe twice a week at most. 2. Rose + Glow Oil by Leah Skin ✨ Key Ingredients- Vitamin C and Squalane ✨ This oil is a game changer💕 Vitamin C brightens skin gorgeously but always use with SPF! I use it morning and night and notice significant changes in dark spots overnight. Over weeks I’ve seen major transformations in my skin. I have super sensitive skin and get hormonal breakouts so I’m talking from a MESS to smooth and plump. It has squalane and a stable form of Vitamin C that plays nicely with other Vitamin C and even retinol. ✨ Because it is more stable than others, it also lasts significantly longer- this bottle being good for a year after opening compared to some of my others which expire as quickly as 3 months. It is clean, in glass packaging and adorable. I will definitely be repurchasing this once I finish it! 3. Enzyme Powder Polish by Sand & Sky ✨Key ingredients- Australian Glow Berries, Papaya Fruit Enzymes, Quandong and Davidson Plum, Aloe Vera and Jojoba oils for brightening, smoothing, soothing and nourishing skin. It also has their Kaolin clay in it too! ✨This is now my preferred type of wash-off exfoliant. It starts as a powder then you add a little bit of water and rub it into a foam. After massaging on skin for 15 seconds, you simply wash off and go on with the rest of your routine. It makes my skin feel SO SOFT and helps remove any dryness or peeling. It’s super gentle on the skin but really effective and pairs beautifully with retinol as well. ✨This starts as a white powder but when you add water, you get that classic pink Sand & Sky color. Pro-tip, it took me about two tries to get the ratios correct- if you add too little water, you’ll get a paste and if you add too much, it’ll absorb into your hands. You want a light pink foam. Morning skincare routine
So I recently started introducing some new products into my morning skincare routine. Previously I would cleanse, moisturise and maybe add a sunscreen. My skin was “okay” but it wasn’t great. I’ve recently started using DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serumwithin the last 1.5 weeks. I was told to watch out for sensitivity in the way of tingling and some redness but I haven’t noticed any of that yet - and I do have super sensitive skin that goes red super easily! On application it is a little sticky but I find patting my skin helps to reduce this before applying other products I have noticed my skin looks brighter and more “refreshed” after applying this serum. I’m happy with the results so far, but am going to use it for a bit longer before making a rating I also introduced The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 into my routine. My skin is definitely feeling softer after application and seems to be less dry! I also like how it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave any surface residue - especially applying it after my vitamin C which can be a bit sticky I’m definitely in love with this product and have just purchased the super size version! I think this one is here to stay! Lastly my other new addition is The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA I was previously applying my GO-TO - Very Useful Face Cream which is AH-MAZING for my skin.. but found this really heavy as a day time moisturiser and was really oily come around lunch time! Not ideal!! I was after something lightweight and nourishing without leaving me super oily and so far this has delivered! I’ve used it about 3 times so far as it is a recent purchase. I’ll be road testing it under some makeup in the coming days so I’m keen to see how my skin goes! And most importantly! SUNSCREEN! I feel like it’s a never ending battle finding a sunscreen that doesn’t feel icky, thick and sticky on my skin to wear well under makeup. Well I really like the MECCA - To Save Face SPF50+ Superscreenso far and it has been sitting really well under my makeup! I also got the oxybenzone free formula which is amazing because it doesn’t have the nasties that harm our amazing coral reefs! I’ll do a review of my new products in about a month to see how I’m liking them!! 💕
