🧼 Ceramic Slip Cleanser! 🧼
Follow my skincare Instagram for more content! @skincare_by_reba 😍 🧼 Let’s talk 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬! 🧼 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭? This is SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip CleanserAccording to the SR site, it is a “Gentle, plant-based cleanser pulls out impurities while pulling in clean hydration, for smaller-looking pores and a clean, radiant complexion.” 𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: I’m big on finding a cleanser that works and sticking to it. That’s why I was hoping I’d love this one - and I do! I was nervous that the green clay would dry me out, but it truly doesn’t. My face feels fresh and hydrated after using it, and not at all tight or dried out. It is perfect to wake me up in the mornings and awesome as a second cleanse after Blue Moon to start of a nighttime routine! 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞: $35 for 5oz sounds like a lot for a cleanser. BUT, I’m still on my first bottle that I purchased in September and have used it most mornings & nights. According to the amazing @skincare.routine.app I’ve used it about 145 times and I’m just starting to near the end. If you aren’t sure you want to commit to 5oz, they also sell the 1oz travel size in several of their amazing kits! I’d highly recommend the Flash Fix kit if you haven’t tried Good Genes either - just $25 for two amazing products 😍 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘳?
New Cleanser Review! ✨🌸
🌿I have been using this Cleanser for a few weeks now, morning and night, and alternating with my Clarisma Cleanser. 🌾SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip Cleanser This is gentle, plant-based cleanser is amazingly smooth and hydrating to cleanse with! Just using this as a sole cleanser, morning and night, keeps my skin feeling soft immediately after washing off every time. I love the earthy natural smell and the creamy texture. The key ingredients are used to gently clean your pores without stripping the skin! 🌱This cleanser claims to remove dirt, oil, pollution and makeup! (I don't wear makeup so I couldn't tell you if that parts true 🤷🏻) So thankful that I won a @cheriespotlight last month to receive this gem I probably would have never thought to buy myself!! ♡✨🌸
Super happy to share my experience using CLEAR GENIUS bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Gel Cleanser bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Toner + Serum 🌀Clarifying TONER + SERUM I have dry/combo, sensitive skin, and I was pleasantly surprised that this didn't over dry my skin out or irritate it at all. The consistency is so smooth and absorbs into skin quickly, The texture is awesome not sticky and kind of addicting, it's unique in the sense that most toners are like water, so it's fun to use, My face looks smoother this one is definitely being added into my permanent cleansing routine. 🌀Clarifying GEL Cleanser I have been using this cleanser every day and I really liked it. The scent has a fresh smell without being overpowering. This cleanser easily takes off makeup and leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean after each use. I have a combo to dry skin type and my skin feels well moisturized. #bliss #cleargenius #blissbreak #thisisbliss #watershot #showmeyourwatershot #skinstastory #skinalgo #thealglow #thealglowrithm #instaskin #instaskincare #ClearGenius #ThisIsBliss #contest #complimentary
bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Gel Cleanser First is their clarifying gel cleanser with BHA and Brazilian sea water. I’ve been using this as a second cleanse and I concentrate it on my cheeks and chin area. I actually leave it on in the shower for a minute to let it really get to work haha. It’s a nice non drying cleanser.⠀ ⠀ bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Toner + Serum Next is the Clarifying toner serum- and this is my favorite out of the two. It has BHA, aloe, witch hazel and niacinamide so it’s packed with great ingredients. I love the pump dispenser that I pump into a cotton pad, (or a reusable one that they sent over) then apply along my chin and cheeks. This stuff is good. I’ve noticed a difference in potential breakouts that are sitting under the skin. They’ve shrunken down before breaking through which is amazing to see! ⠀

Best cleanser if you struggle with acne👏👏👍👍
I have acne prone skin. I used to use clinique for awhile and Neutrogena for awhile. I've tried other stuff too but those were my "reliable" cleansers. I was reluctant to spend this much money on face wash, but I am so glad that I did. I've been using this for about a month now and have seen great improvements in my skin along with the use of a toner and weekly face mask. It tends to work extremely well on my skin. I have combonation oily/quite sensitive skin, and this does not dry it out or irritate it in any way! The first day I tried this, my pores shrunk dramatically, my skin felt super clean but not dry and tight, and my acne started clearing up overnight. It's gentle but very effective. I'm being serious too, like not even playing. The texture feels amazing too, not gritty, smooth, and you only need a little because it's a concentrated paste. My acne has cleared up significantly. I had such a great experience with this cleanser that I also bought the exfoliate cleanser and I like that one too. I use it twice a day. My usage: only apply a small amount to wet face and massage gently for 30 seconds. Rinse and gently pat dry. Avoid contact with eye area.If you have extremely sensitive skin, I suppose you use it 2 or 3 times a week. Sometimes I use it as face mask and apply it on my face, wait for five minutes, then wash off using a gentle cleanser with soft, circular motions. It can really help reduce and prevent blemishes, unclog pores, balance oily skin. I'm hooked on everything Kate Somerville now. Definitely worth the try. Highly recommend trying this if you struggle with acne！
Brands I won't be reviewing (part 2)
I promised a part two to this (so if you haven't, take a look at part 1). I'm not saying you can't purchase these brands. I just personally won't be and consequently won't be reviewing them (because I buy everything I review). Juice beauty for not providing helpful customer service. I personally do not care for their brand after I got into skincare and bought their JUICE BEAUTY - Green Apple Brightening Gel Cleanser . As I got deeper into the skincare world, I found out that their second ingredient is citrus medica limonum (lemon juice) which is irritating and can cause photosensitivity. Even though it is a wash off treatment it has me skeptical because of how high on the ingredients list it is. I saw their ad on facebook and decided to politely voice my concern and ask why they felt it was a good ingredient. They not only deleted my comment, but banned me from being able to comment on their future ads. This to me shows a lack of transparency. I decided to take my concern and turn it into a review for their webpage. It has never been posted on their website even though it has been months ago. They have still only allowed 1 one star review on their website which shows me that the company filters their reviews. I know they are not the only brand that does this, but I do not care to support it. Kylie skin... There is a reason why I am skeptical about celebrity brands and this does not help. For one they made KYLIE COSMETICS - Walnut Face Scrub and if you don't know for the most part physical exfoliants (unless uniformly shaped and edges have been rounded down on a microscopic level) are not good! They can leave microtears in your skin leaving your skin vulnerable. As you can imagine chunks of walnut are not good to use as an exfoliant and will be overly abrasive. Other products (KYLIESKIN - Detox Face Mask and KYLIE COSMETICS - KYLIE COSMETICS Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Face Sunscreen ) have been taken from other brands with very similar ingredients lists, but have been altered to be less effective and therefore cheaper (well the sunscreen was more of a direct copy of supergoop... Let's be real). Overall I'm not impressed. Her skincare isn't innovative and made for us in mind. Instead just used to line pockets of people who are already rolling in it. Mario Badescu secretly using steroids in their products which is extremely dangerous for their customers. Steroids for one should never be used on your face without a dermatologist’s recommendation or prescription. When used for a long period of time, it can lead to long term effects when not taken off of them correctly. When some people found this out, they had already been using their products for a long period of time and consequently, when switching to a new product, had long term effects. I also do not like any of their facial sprays (MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater ) because they are heavily fragranced.
Not a good product and not a good brand!
I am very disappointed in this brand after my experience with purchasing this product. Shame on me for not checking out the ingredients before purchase because the second ingredient is citrus medica limonum (organic lemon juice). Although it has brightening properties, it can be very damaging to the skin since it is highly acidic and very sensitising. It also causes photosensitivity which makes the skin more susceptible to damage caused by the sun. I politely addressed this on a post from juice beauty. Instead of them addressing my concern, they deleted my comment twice and then made it so I cannot comment anymore. If there is nothing to hide about their products and it's all good things that they can speak to, why delete truthful reviews? This is a big red flag for me when a company is not being transparent. Their social media marketing has little to be desired and the review I made on their site for this product hasn't been posted yet even though it's been a week. I will not be purchasing this product or any other from this brand again since I cannot trust that they have the best intentions for my skin in mind.

I am a huge skincare lover and love to try out ingredients and brands. Check out my collection and my favourite brands and products. Favourite brands: Versed: this is a brand that I have tried many products and they have worked well for me. This is a drug store brand that is mid range. It is cruelty free and eco conscience, going so far as to state the percentage of usage of recycled material and having recycling instructions on their website. My holy grails are VERSED - PHOTOS, PLEASE BRIGHTENING TIGHTENING MASK and VERSED - Doctor's Visit The ordinary: this is a great brand as it is super affordable and it’s cruelty free. The way I like to benefit from this brand is to try out ingredients to see what works for my skin, their serums are my favourite. My holy grail is The Ordinary - "Buffet" + Copper Peptides 1% The Inkey lists: this brand is similar to the ordinary but I think some of their formulas are better. They focus on ingredients that allow me to find the best ingredients for my skin, they are also cruelty free. My holy grail isTHE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum Cosrx:this brand was my introduction to K-beauty and they are very accessible through Amazon ( also cruelty free). They focus on the primary ingredient that is either natural or chemical. My holy grails are COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence and #Cosrx - Full Fit Propolis Light Ampoule[products]#[FiveStars] Brands with 1-2 favourite products: First aid beauty: this brand focuses on healing the skin with the incorporation of oats which are amazing. My holy grail isFIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration Glossier: this is a brand started by a beauty editor and are all very aesthetically pleasing and gentle on the skin (cruelty free). My holy grail is Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser Paula’s Choice: this is a great brand that is science driven (cruelty free). My holy grail isPAULA'S CHOICE - Youth-extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 Pyunkang Yul: this is a K-beauty brand that started in a medical clinic and focus on short ingredient lists. My holy grail isPyunkang Yul - Essence Toner Pixi: this is an English brand that has lots of products and lines to target different issues (cruelty free). My holy grail is pixi - Hydrating Milky Mist The body shop: the body shop is a very established brand that has tons of products (cruelty free), I love their masks in particular. My holy grail isTHE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Face Mask Niod: this brand has the same parent company as the ordinary but it is the more expensive and technologically advanced. I love that they are pushing the bounds of skincare (cruelty free). My holy grail is NIOD - Modulating Glucosides
These saved my dry skin! ❄️
I usually have combination skin but for the past few weeks my skin has been extremely dry and tight. I’ve felt the most dryness on the lower parts of my cheeks and slowly my face has become more sensitive. These products have definitely helped improve the texture and hydration of my skin. I’m usually somewhat dry with my forehead/nose being really oily. My area has been having really cold dry winter days and nights. I start off with glossier milky jelly cleanser. It’s super conditioning. It doesn’t lather and helps soothe the redness. This has always worked for my combination skin and now works perfectly for my dehydrated dry skin. This doesn’t have a scent which I love. I have the full size and I already bought a back up of this. Full size is 6 oz $18 Mini size is 2 oz $9 Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser I follow with my peach & Lilly glass skin refining serum. I’ve been using this since July and it’s really light but moisturizing. It doesn’t irritate my skin at all and I’ve definitely seen my skin be less textured. This texture is very thin close to watery. This also doesn’t have a scent to it. It’s kinda pricey but does last several months. It’s $39 for 1 oz PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum For moisturizer I’ve been using the GLAMGLOW moisture trip omega rich moisturizer. This is a lightweight moisturizer but feels very hydrating. It has helped with my redness a lot. It has hyaluronic acid so it will help with dryness. It’s a nice feeling knowing you’re putting on a good moisturizer to help with dryness without the thickness of it. It has a slight fresh/avocado scent to it. It’s pricey at $55 for 1.7 oz. GLAMGLOW - MOISTURETRIP Omega-Rich Face Moisturizer At night I love to follow with the origins drink up intensive overnight hydrating mask with avocado & Swiss glacier water. I absolutely love this overnight mask. I’ve been using it for years and it’s something I trust to get rid of the dryness and tightness in my skin. It feels really soft on the skin and it’s not thick. Its great for my sensitive skin too. It has a very slight avocado smell but it’s not too much. For the first week I used this every night. After that I now use this every other day. Besides that I tend to use this once or twice a week. Full 2.5 oz is $27 Mini 1 oz is $13 ORIGINS - Drink Up-Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst I never forget about the lips and I use my trusty glossier mint balm dot com. I love this so much that I’m almost done with it. Personally the mint, rose, coconut and Un scented one are the ones with the most hydration. It’s pricey but I’ve had this for about a year. It’s 0.5 oz for $12. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom
🌙 CURRENT NIGHTTIME ROUTINE 🌙
My biggest skincare goals right now are focused on texture and hydration. I find it can be challenging to find a routine that is balanced in exfoliants and hydrating/ calming products. I’ve tried to rush my skin into results and it never works, and while I wouldn’t consider this my “holy grail routine” it’s something that’s working for me right now to target specifically texture, without drying out my skin. Here’s what I’m using, and why I love it! 1st cleanse: EARTH HARBOR - Sunshine Dew Antioxidant Cleansing Oil a heavenly smelling, effective oil cleanser that gently removes any sunscreen, makeup, or gunk from the day. 2nd Cleanse: CLARISMA - Cool Ocean Breeze Daily Cleanser this cleanser has really been the driver in retexuring my skin, the fruit enzymes in this cleanser are gentle exfoliants that didn’t give the dead skin cells on my face a chance! It really brightened and purified my skin. Serum: #Intoxicated Cosmetics - Snail Venom Serum[products]#[FiveStars] I just did a results post of this serum, and was amazed and how effective this serum was! Check out the post, you gotta see it to believe it 😉 Eye Cream: FARMACY - Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eye Cream with Acerola Cherry I like this eye cream, nice texture and good brightening results! I’ve enjoyed using this eye cream but will probably go back to BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream when this pot is finished. Treatment: HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum I love this natural retinol alternative! I’ve been nervous to integrate a retinol into my routine so I’ve been happy to use this alternative as a placeholder. Great hydrating and plumping qualities! Moisturizer: SATURDAY SKIN - Waterfall Glacier Water Cream love the bouncy gel texture of this cream. I like that it’s a little bit cooling upon application, calms my skin and makes me feel ready to catch some zzZZzzZ’s. If my skins feeling really dry I’ll add 1-2 drops of HERBIVORE - Emerald CBD + Adaptogens Deep Moisture Glow Oil to my moisturizers, this oil is amazing for hydrating, calming and reducing redness! And of course lip care! I always slather on a nice coating of SUMMER FRIDAYS - Lip Butter Balm before bed, smells amazing and gives my lips a nice drink! Helps me wake up with soft, hydrated lips. I also have been rotating these three masks and using each once per week! LATHER - Honey Moisture Mask with Propolis Extract : For deep hydration, and soothing dermatitis flare ups. HERBIVORE - Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask : For resurfacing. I only use this for 8-10mins at a time right now to ensure I’m not over exfoliating or over-drying my skin ORIGINS - Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores : For pores, T-zone only!
🌞Another one of my recent new beauty buys was the EARTH HARBOR - Sunshine Dew Antioxidant Cleansing Oil . I’ve been really loving this light weight oil cleanser. It’s a non greasy oil, that feels powdery as you massage it into the skin. 🌞It washes away easily with water and takes all the gunk along with it. A perfect first cleanse to ensure a squeaky clean canvas. 🌞It costs $24 dollars for a 2oz bottle, with a 6 month shelf life after being opened. I think it’s great value, you only need a half to three quarters of the dropper bottle pull to fully cleanse your face and neck. 🌞Also the smell is heavenly, it actually smells like a lemon meringue pie or something along those lines hahah definite vanilla and citrus. I’m a big fan! 🌞I always love looking at the shelf life of a product when I consider value, because I don’t think it makes sense to base value on size and price if you get a giant bottle but it only lasts 3-6months. Especially if you could never possibly use the amount before it expires. Claims: An oil cleanser that targets buildup, lack of essential vitamins and minerals and dull skin. Leaves skin feeling fresh, soft, hydrated and bright 🌞This cleanser totally lived up to my expectations, and I am so happy I picked it up. My original go to was the The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser , but the smell of this Earth Harbor cleanser is too good not to reach for.
THE ANSWER IS NO
LOL so I snapped this pic in the middle of using The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution and lemme tell you. That stuff BURNED! I was on an off day from adapalene and was having a particularly annoying time with the hordes of closed comedones on my chin and also had some residual flakies from the adapalene that were lingering a bit longer than I wanted. So, naturally, I washed my face with the TULA SKINCARE - Keep It Clear Acne Foam Cleanser that I’ve been using in the evenings, my first mistake. Never use this mask with ANY OTHER SENSITIZING PRODUCTS which INCLUDES SA! My next mistake was not waiting long enough (a few days) after my last application of adapalene. I believe it had been two nights since I used it last, but the skin on my chin where an active breakout was occurring was NOT the correct place to put this peel. I know better, but do not as I do, please! or you will be very regretful. As soon as I applied this product to thoroughly dried skin, my chin started burning. It stung the rest of my face but not nearly as bad as it did on my chin. I resolved to leave it on for only a few minutes because of the discomfort I was experiencing. I gently washed off the mask with lukewarm water about 4 minutes after applying. My face was pink and so smooth elsewhere, but I had visibly damaged my skin on my chin. I went into recovery mode and slathered my face in COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence and after it sunk into my skin, applied a thick layer of FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration and hoped for the best. I woke up in flake city all over my chin/mustache/nostrils. It wasn’t red, but a lot of excess sloughing of dead skin cells was occurring. My barrier at least where my breakout under my lip is was destroyed 🥺. Since this incident (3 days ago) I’ve stuck to only cleansing at night with the TULA SKINCARE - The Cult Classic Purifying Face Cleanser and the FAB ultra repair moisturizer. My skin has recovered, since and while my breakout is still present, I’ve noticed an improvement overall in my cheek and upper lip zits. I’m going to continue to give my skin a break by only using hydrating and nourishing products, slowly working them back into my routine and will be avoiding acids & actives especially on my chin area until it has fully recovered. I don’t necessarily think the AHA/BHA peel is a bad product, and for some people it really works wonders! I’ll echo what everybody else who loves it has to say about it: do your research, be careful not to overdo it, and DO NOT MIX any other actives in your routine when using this product ‼️ And if skincare burns 🥵 FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WASH IT OFF ! ❣️
Ulta & Marshall’s Hair & Skin Haul
What’s up my bargain basement bitches? Due to my recent unprecedented BREAKOUT on my damn chin/cheek/mustache area I decided it was time to use my Adult Money ™️ to purchase some new skin ~clearing~ items. Being that I work for the government, I am absolutely the furthest from raking in that dough, so bargains are v appealing to me. I’m an Ulta shopper, not sorry. I don’t give a dern about makeup and I find that Ulta has that good good, cruelty free, clean, & affordable skin care. Also fuck that elitist Sephora energy, my local Ulta has a salon in the back that I can only imagine is the equivalent of a set of Super Cuts side bangs. Featured in this haul: Ulta TULA SKINCARE - Keep It Clear Acne Foam Cleanser($34) TULA SKINCARE - The Cult Classic Purifying Face Cleanser (free sample) LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Adapalene Gel .01% Topical Retinoid Acne Treatment($30) COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence on sale 50% off! ($12) Marshall’s Random ass Facial Steamer ($16) “ABSOLUTEHEAT” Pro Iron Series curling wand ($20) Golden Castor Oil with eyebrow/lash brushes ($7) AQUIS - Hair Towel Waffle Luxe Moody Gray($10) I have been using FIRST AID BEAUTY - FAB Skin Lab Retinol Serumand FIRST AID BEAUTY - FAB Skin Lab Retinol Eye Cream with Triple Hyaluronic Acid which are wonderful, especially the eye cream which completely blasted the dry patch near the corner of my eye that was there for MONTHS but I felt like tapering up a bit after introducing retinol for the first time about a month and a half ago. It is also likely that the breakout on my chin/cheeks is due to the retinol serum (I currently use 2-3x wk and don’t use any actives with it except for Mad Hippie - Triple C Night Creamwhich I’m prettty sure clogs the shit out of my pores but w/e). I will post a skin check-in tomorrow & eventually review these products after I work them into my routine. So far, so good! I will say the Tula SA cleanser had a super strong tea tree fragrance which isn’t a dealbreaker for me so much as a indicator of some powerful shit. Fingers crossed this gets the pesky comedones on my chin/upper lip to dissolve 🤓. In the meantime, comment below with your favorite sheet masks to use with the face steamer! I got it for my bf mostly, as well as an extraction toolkit because he likes to take things into his own hands with his skin and I respect that- so I got him some tools that can be sterilized & keep him from poking holes his face with my stolen embroidery needles.
Lately enjoying @glamglow Tropical cleanse daily exfoliating cleanser GLAMGLOW - TROPICALCLEANSE Daily Exfoliating Cleanser ! 🌟❤💞 I finished the bottle and absolutely loved it! If you have situational skin type that changes to oily in Summer and Spring months, you’ll love this cleanser! This has clay in it that is so nourishing yet clarifying the excess sebum. I’m in love with this one for one reason, this doesn not over strip my face. Highlighted Ingredients: - Purple Clay: Removes impurities and refreshes the complexion. - Tropical Fruit Enzymes: Work synergistically with chemical and physical exfoliation. - Pomegranate Seeds: Polish and exfoliate the skin.
GLAMGLOW-TROPICALCLEANSE Daily Exfoliating Cleanser
Anyone else leave out their HG products because you just love the packaging of all your other products better? I feel like I’m constantly leaving out my everyday, never skip a day, products in my line up...so here they are: ✨ burts bees face wipes every night before cleansing. ✨ ponds cold cream cleanser - have used this for over 10 years every night as an eye make up remover. It’s effective at removing mascara, but also hydrating and nourishing so for me it’s never going anywhere! ✨ now foods manuka honey & vitamin c cleanser - been using this daily for 3 years and will probably never stop. It’s gentle and not drying, and has helped brighten my complexion. It was the first product I switched to when I was having acne issues that helped clear my skin and didn’t cause any damage! Everything else is a go-to in my line up as of lately💞 . .
Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Cleanser
I have a love/hate relationship with Glow Recipe. I either really love a product or it doesn't work well for me at all. Their Blueberry Bounce Cleanser claims to remove make up, combat blemishes, and leave skin bouncy bright and glowy. It is a thick consistency and has a slight floral/fruit scent. This one left me feeling "meh" - Does it clean my skin? Yes. Does it smell okay? Yes. Does it actually meet any of its claims of removing makeup, combating blemishes or providing any bouncy, bright and glowing effects? Nope. I'd say this is a basic and simple cleanser. It works to clean gently, but thats about it. I'm overall underwhelmed. At $34 for the full size 160 ml, I'll take my money elsewhere. I would not recommend this product for the price. 2/5 stars!GLOW RECIPE - Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser
GLOW RECIPE-Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser
✨Yet, I have had my eyes on this cult-classic for so long. This cleanser is said to have 5 benefits - it intends to decongest, exfoliate, tone, soothe, and deeply cleanse your skin. The first cleanse is such an important step to my nightly skincare routine. I am eternally on the hunt for a super nourishing or moisturizing balm cleanser to take the day off. Blended with eucalyptus, clove, Egyptian chamomile, and hops, this cleanser induces a luxurious experience. I know that some people may be bothered by the scent, but I found it to be quite earthy. Complete with a cotton muslin cloth, this cleanser deeply cleans your pores without stripping anything from your skin. The whole routine is very ritualistic to me. It makes my skin feel hydrated and exceptionally smooth. I am a fan. ✨
EVE LOM-EVE LOM Cleanser
Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment This certainly does exfoliate lol it’s a physical exfoliant which I am not particularly against, however this one feels very harsh and intense. It makes my skin burn upon application, even before rubbing it lol and my skin is not even sensitive usually! It does give good results however the process of using this product is very unpleasant. The smell is also veryyy intense. Don’t recommend.

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
