🌸 Blossom Pink Lips: Revlon or NARS?
Pink lips are beautiful if you want to amp up a nude look. I love the color so much, I didn’t realize I picked up two versions of it. So I compared them, and wrote a review to guide you below. 🌸 Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Mousse in Devotion ($7.99) This lippie isn’t actually matte when you first apply it. It’s shiny and creamy, making it more comfortable on your lips than the NARS alternative. After eating and wearing it through the a day, it turned matte. It’s like you have to peel off the first layer to get to the real finish. At that point, the lippie felt more like a stain. But I really liked that because I didn’t have to worry about reapplying. Watch out- Putting on too much of it can make your lips peel. Use this one with a light hand. 🌷 NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment in Walk the Line ($26) This lipstick dries down quickly to a true matte. Like most liquid lipsticks, it’s very drying. I actually like to mix this product with balm to keep my lips soft. Otherwise, it does last throughout the day. And like Revlon, it also keeps your lips stained even after a full meal. This one is a pinch more nude than Revlon’s. You can’t tell at first glance, but might if you’ll be wearing it to a meeting. 🌿 Final Thoughts 🌿 This one was hard. But I have to say I preferred Revlon’s because I didn’t have to add any moisturizer to it. I still love the NARS product, and find the color more appropriate for daily wear. But the Revlon option feels so soft, it makes my lips feel like a pillowy rose.
