Best AM + PM Moisturiser
If I had to recommend a non K-Beauty moisturiser then, this would be the one! 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 Squalane, Ashwagandha, Fermented Reishi [𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰] This cream has a beautiful and elegant texture. It is lightweight, airy and creamy. There is no fragrance or EOs but has nutty to neutral type of scent. I love how the cream melts effortlessly into your skin without leaving any sticky or tacky feel. No occlusive layer or thin film. Matte to neutral finish. Felt very comfortable and breathable on the skin. This cream provides the right balance of hydration and moisture. It is really good for locking in the hydration whilst, protecting your moisture barrier. It is a versatile but straightforward cream that plays well with other products. Depending on your skin type it can either be used as a AM or PM cream. Personally, I prefer to use this in the morning. I find that it is missing that touch of richness and nourishment to be used as a night cream. Overall, a good and well rounded moisturiser.
Skincare Strugglebus 🚌
So I had a good, simple routine for a long time and my skin was great! Then I moved and now my skin is so much different. I’ve been using tons of products trying to get results but I think I’ve been tormenting my skin and not giving any one product enough of a chance to do it’s thing so I’m trying to simplify. Right now my skin is dry, dehydrated, red and bumpy and my pores have gotten huge and black and icky and I’m really frustrated. I like to think that I’m knowledgeable about skincare but I still have a lot to learn. If you have any thoughts on my current products that would help the most! I have a lot and need a real routine. AM routine: Rinse my face with water. If I’m oily (which isn’t often) I will go in with THAYERS - Lavender Facial Toner but only on my t-zone, my cheeks can’t handle it. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream VERSED - Daily Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum a little greasy but non irritating and only if I go outside. PM: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm only if I wear makeup and spf For cleansers I’ve been using DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser Too Faced - Hangover Wash The Day Away Gentle Foaming Cleanser I also have a sample size of belif - Aqua Bomb Jelly CleanserI haven’t used and sometimes I will VERY GENTLY scrub with fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash I have 3 different toners, I use fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner but it’s started to sting a bit with all the fragrance. I just purchased LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizerand also GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Tonerwhich I want to incorporate instead. Maybe alternate? I loved FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry but I think it went bad bc it stings so much now. I use PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum every day but I might switch to DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serumthoughts? YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi never switching! other products I own: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask LANEIGE - Cica Sleeping MaskGLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask ORIGINS - Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream I DEW CARE - Cake My Day Hydrating Sprinkle Wash-Off Mask DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream
hi everyone ✨ for my first post on here i wanted to share some feedback on popular highlighters on the market right now! loves 💕💖💓 CoverFX Custom Enhancer Drops (Moonlight): i was pleasantly surprised by this product! there was a lot of pigment to it and it spread very easily. just a warning, a little goes a long way and it isn’t as easy to get that small of an amount out of the dropper bottle! Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector (Moonlight): becca’s highlighter is a long-time fav of mine! i love the shade pearl because my skin is so light in the winter and it still pops! the moonlight is just as good, just a bit darker and good for a more natural look 🤍 the milk makeup highlighter was the worst of the batch, it took multiple applications to get near to the result i was looking for and by that time the pigment was too dark to make it look natural i actually really liked the nudestix one too! it just wasn’t as great as the others i had sampled the bareminerals and tarte highlighters left something to be desired, becca has perfected the powder application of highlighter but i felt like these products wouldn’t last as long on my skin benefit’s high beam was very dramatic and came in a liquid application. it would work best for special events but not great for everyday wear in my opinion! thanks for reading🥰 share your experiences with your favorite products in the comments!
Key to on-the-go makeup
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about doing my makeup on my commute it’s that sticks are the answer! They make the whole process so much quicker and less complicated, they’re easy and compact to travel with, and they mean no more worries about spilling product down your top or in your makeup bag! Oh, and on top of that, they’re usually much more hygienic since you don’t need to use your hands to apply them. In fact, with these products, you don’t even need a brush. Milk Makeup’s Highlighter in Lit and Cheek + Lip Tint in Werk are two staples in my everyday makeup routine. I start by applying Werk to the apples of my cheeks – all it takes is a couple of dabs moving outwards towards the edge of my face. The colour is very sheer and neutral (kind of a warm, dusky pink) so it doesn’t need blending unless I am a bit heavy-handed – in which case a quick blend with a powder brush does the trick. Because it’s a cream formula it has a little bit of a dewy finish which looks really pretty and natural. The colour doesn’t last all day (which is the one downside) but because it’s a stick, it’s so easy to top it up throughout the day. Next, I apply Lit on the tops of my cheekbones up to my temples. Again, this has a really sheer and natural finish so it’s impossible to overdo it. I literally just swipe the stick over my skin and it layers on just the right amount of product – resulting in a bright and glossy shine. What I really love about it is that it’s not too sparkly or glittery so it doesn’t sit in my pores or emphasise my acne scars. Would 100% recommend both of these products if you want to streamline your makeup routine!
A facial, a mask, and a bath feels like heaven
NuFACE - Trinity Facial Toning Device NuFACE - FIX Line Smoothing Device So grateful to @mynuface for sending this amazing spa-at-home care package to me. I’ve never been diligent with facial gadgets but I’m seeing such great results that I just can’t stop. Nuface Trinity is an advanced microcurrent facial toning device that helps to 'work out' the muscles of the face to stimulate collagen and tighten skin appearance with as little as 5 mins per day. A facial isn’t complete without the proper eye treatment, the FIX is perfect for contouring the delicate eye area to help with puffiness around my eyes. My skin feels super charged the next morning with my jawline more prominent and my skin feels toned and refreshed. Best thing yet, Im watching Netflix while having this luxe facial! Fresh skincare routine 🧼
fresh - Rose & Hyaluronic Acid Deep Hydration Moisturizer this is super thick and hydrating, perfect for a night cream. Personally anything with rose gives me a strange reaction to it. I get really red in the face and my skin feels hot. This would be good if it didn’t have rose but if your face isn’t sensitive to roses then this is good for you. fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash love this! Not stripping or drying and it has pretty healthy ingredients for the skin. Don’t have any reactions to it, and normally I’m super sensitive to a lot of ingredients. Would buy again! fresh - Kombucha Antioxidant Facial Treatment Essence this was my favorite out of all of them. Don’t apply to a cotton pad just dab some into fingertips and pat onto skin. The cotton pads absorb too much to where it barely gets on the skin. Moisturizing and my skin had zero bad reaction to it. Haven’t gotten any acne from this brand other than the redness from the rose moisturizer.

HIGH EXPECTATIONS, LOW SATISFACTION
TATCHA - The Silk Canvas Protective Primer $52 be velvety smooth reduce appearance of fine lines Why I bought the product? I bought the product because I was looking for a primer that claimed to be noncomedogenic. Also, the Sephora reviews on the product were high. First impressions? The product packaging is cute and comes with an applicator so you do not have to use your fingers. The product itself is silky smooth like it advertises. It went on my skin great but when I put foundation overtop, the foundation/primer combo breaks down creating small buildup of product. Will I repurchase? Because of what it does to my skin, I will not be repurchasing. For now, I will wear the product on its own (without any foundation). What is your favorite noncomedogenic primer?
I go camping a lot, but I have no problem with “glamping” in the family RV when I’m not in the mood to hoof it in the woods alone and eat granola bars and jerky to keep from starving. There’s no shame in glamping (even though the term was invented to shame the chewy granola among campers). When I glamp, I typically bring my “limbo” products: products that I don’t use daily or even like that much but have held onto so I can use them up. This trip, I’ve chosen three of my products that I like using to simplify my routine while I’m in the woods. VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm If you’re going to be out in the sun and wind all day, you need SPF and at night bug spray. You may even find yourself choking on campfire smoke all night. When you come back in after a long night, it’s easy to find yourself clogged and weighed down by all the gunk on your face. This cleansing balm is oil based and removes particles lingering in your pores. I follow this with a water based cream cleanser to make sure everything gets off my face, including campfire smoke and bug spray. VERSED - BABY CHEEKS Enter Baby Cheeks. This water based cleanser is an all in one that doesn’t fit in my regular routine but is great for mid day freshening up and taking for travel. It does the same job as a makeup remover, cleanser, and toner. While I don’t love it, it does help with the above and takes the place of multiple products when traveling. Even glamping you don’t have a lot of time or energy to doing a full routine of products, and this will hold you over while you’re away from home. e.l.f. - Oil Control Primer Mist I’ve reviewed this product before for my Take A Hike test. It’s a bit tacky for my daily use (I typically only wear a BB Cream and don’t usually mess with primer) but this stuff helps control sweat on your face even if used without makeup. Summer is a popular time for camping of all types, unless you’re crazy like me and winter camp as well, so sweat is inevitable whether you’re on a hot climate or hiking in the cold. Putting this on at the start of my day makes my face stay drier longer.
Morning Skincare Routine
I try to keep my morning routine really simple. I’m also a Tom-boy (but skincare still important) and only wear foundation and some bronzer so I decided to include that too! My face definitely feels fresh and ready to take on the day!!!🌞🌻💜 1. Rinse face with water (sometimes I’ll cleanse if I used sunscreen and worked out with THE inkey LIST - Salicylic Acid Acne + Pore Cleanser 2. DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum 3. PUT YOUR DANG SUNSCREEN ON! LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 60 Clear Skin Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 60 (this stuff is legit bomb and melts right in!) 4. Foundation CLINIQUE - Superbalanced Makeup Foundation and add a bit of moisturizer GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Pink Juice Oil-Free Moisturizer 5. Bronzer bareMinerals - Gradual Tan Bronzer (I actually love Too Faced - Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer 6. Toner but I really use it as a makeup setter instead GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist

These High-Rating Products Are Not The Best For Combo Oily Skin..😧😧
I have combination-oily most of the year, normal skin sometimes, and combination-dry skin in winter. I have acne marks but I don't have sensitive skin. The following are some of the products that I've almost used up. But I don't think they are good for combo-oily skin. 1) Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Dream Night Cream It's too sticky and doesn't absorb at all. I really don't like how it feels on my skin. Besides moisturizing, it does nothing much at all. It neither offers any obvious anti-aging or restoration effects, nor does it minimize pores. I think it's only suitable for those with very dry skin. 2) SHISEIDO - Waso Quick Matte Moisturizer Oil-Free It's absorbed slowly by the skin and easily leaves the skin shiny. Although it's oil-free, it still leaves my skin greasy for 15 minutes after being applied. I can't apply foundation right away after using this moisturizer. I suppose it's OK if you're not planning on going out during the day. It's also US$45/75ml bottle which is quite expensive. 3) Too Faced - Hangover Replenishing Face Primer It's a moisturizing primer but it's totally useless as it's quite unnecessary if your skin is hydrated and moisturized enough with your usual skincare. Besides, it balls up easily. 4) NARS - Sheer Glow Foundation - Shade Yukon It's not suitable for oily skin, or I should say that it's unsuitable for use in any hot weather. It helps your makeup look great, provides decent coverage, and feels great on the skin. It spreads easily, but it's not long-lasting and it peels after 3 to 4 hours. It also starts smudging within 2 hours in summer. I've previously used it together with Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Pressed Powder for better results.

My skin cabinet
Hey y’all This is my skin cabinet. As you can see it has a lot of samples from Ipsy and Sephora and only a few full sized products as I am new to skin care and I am trying out a lot of things to see what works for my skin. I wear a cpap mask and I have a hard time with pimples only under where I wear the mask. I am not acne prone but seem to get it only when I trap the oils. So far I love face masks and use them whenever I’m stressed out. The whole bottom shelf are different face masks I have tried and I have reviewed most on here. I am still learning about serums and oils so my middle row is a lot of products that will hydrate and moisturize my face. The top is mostly gentle cleansers. I rotate my use of these cleansers but my skin seems to love them all. My make up peg board is all tarte products that I bought full size. I love tarte because it matches my skin well and I don’t break out with continued use. I don’t wear make up a lot but still keep samples from Ipsy on the size in the buckets are lip samples, primer samples, and blushes. On the right in the cat vase are my brushes, mascaras, and liners. I am working through my samples right now and trying to see what I like so that hopefully in time I will buy full sized products for a routine that will work for my combination skin. I already know most acne geared skin care is too strong for my face and makes things worse. If anyone else has recommendations for maskne all would be appreciated.
CLINIQUE-Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion
KRAVE BEAUTY I tried The Beet Shield for the first time and I was experiencing an awful reaction. My entire face was itching the entire day and it was bad. It was so bad I had to wash my face about 3/4 into my day because I couldn’t stand it anymore. I was so sad that a product so many people loved seemed like it didn’t work for me. HOWEVER, today I used it again and I switched up the way I used it (warmed up the product between my fingers before applying) and I’m pleased to say that I’ve not experienced any itching at all! I do like the cleanser. I don’t love it yet but I like it so far. It cleansed my face, didn’t feel stripping and left my skin feeling soft. I’d say it’s a pretty decent cleanser.
