Your lips need a skincare routine!!!
For years, I hated wearing lipstick. No matter what formula I bought or color I always found my lipstick highlighted every wrinkle, it feathered, faded too quickly, and looked cakey and dry! Well, most of us have a particular skincare routine for our face, but neglect our lips, at least I did. All of these problems were solved by paying attention to my lip care! The essentials for a lip care routine: A lip scrub- I currently use the LUSH - LUSH Honey Lip Scrub

LANEIGE Lip Mask
👉🏻 If you have really dry lips, want softer lips, or love berry-scented lip balm, I definitely recommend Laneige's Lip Sleeping Mask. It's absolutely worth the money and it made a significant difference in my lips' overall moisture level and texture. 1️⃣In general, my lips are pretty hydrated. I have a pretty extensive moisturizing routine (which includes my mouth), but in colder temperatures, it feels like all my moisturizing is for nothing. I’m also pretty sensitive to fragrance—strawberries , for example, is a no-go—so I always keep this in mind when trying a new product. 2️⃣ I love the scent and feel of this mask. I’m a sucker for anything berry-scented and this product smells like a wildberry smoothie. 3️⃣ I decided to give this lip mask a try after a day when my lips felt especially parched. I applied the product before bed, and when I woke up the next morning, I was amazed at how supple my lips felt—that flaky, dry feeling had all but disappeared. 4️⃣ I found myself using it throughout the day, too. I've basically replaced my regular lip balm with it—especially on days when I’m particularly dry. 5️⃣ This product's $22 price tag would have typically scared me off, but I think it's worth it in this case. Yes, it's a little pricey for a lip balm (especially one that’s less than an ounce), but it’s tightly packed and its tub lasts a long time. LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask
Easy AM-PM Routine for you 🧴⭐️🔑
☀️ AM ☀️ 1️⃣ Cleanser : 🔑Start your hydrating skin-care routine off right with this any Face wash. It’s a non-foaming, gentle cleanser packed with ingredients like glycerin and orange oil. It’s a great option for anyone with dry and sensitive skin. 2️⃣Toner : 🔑 You should use your toner only and only after you have thoroughly cleansed your skin. Take 2-3 drops of a toner on a cotton pad and wipe it on your face. Make sure that the cotton pad does not absorb too much of the liquid and is able to transfer it to your skin. 3️⃣Antioxident Serum : 🔑 Using an antioxidant serum every morning can protect your skin from the environmental attack and slow down the process of aging. You should slather on a few drops of a good antioxidant serum right after cleaning your face and before applying moisturizer and sunscreen. 4️⃣ Eye Balm /Cream : 🔑 Use only a small amount. "When you yawn, it will push it up by the tears and when you rub your eyes it will press it in by your fingers. Make sure you leave a clear area around the eyes when applying cream and only apply to the bone area."THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream 5️⃣ Acne treatment: 🔑 it’s up to you that you want to use acne treatment at morning or no but if you have bad acne problem you can use acne cream or gel for your cure. 6️⃣ Moisturizer: 🔑There is no such thing as skin that is too hydrated, and your sunscreen should not be the stand-in for moisturizer. These two products serve vastly different purposes and are not interchangeable, no matter how moisturizing your sunscreen claims to be. 7️⃣ sunscreen: 🔑 Daily sun protection is as important as drinking water and paying your parking tickets on time, so there are zero excuses for not doing it. Use after moisture your face . 8️⃣ Makeup : 🔑 if your like makeup by profession you can do makeup after your skincare routine but I just prefer myself without makeup .HUDA BEAUTY - The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette 🌙PM🌓 1️⃣: Makeup remover : Apply an oil-based makeup remover to dry skin and massage gently until the product melts into a liquid form.GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Waterproof Makeup Remover 2️⃣Cleanser : 🔑 No matter how dry your skin, gentle cleansing at night is essential. Makeup, sunscreen, bacteria, dead skin cells, dirt, and oil build up on your face during the day. They can work their way into your pores, causing inflammation. Wash gently without scrubbing to avoid irritating your skin. acne.org - Acne.org Cleanser YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Cleanser Refill 3️⃣:Toner 🔑 Place toner onto a cotton ball or the tips of your fingers and massage into your face, neck and décolletage in circular motion. Humphrey's - Humphrey's Witch Hazel Facial Toner 4️⃣ Serum / Treatment: 🔑 Sleeping serums offer everything you need to give your skin eight hours of rejuvenation. Massage into your face, neck and décolletage. ESTĒE LAUDER - The Night Is Yours Repair Serum + Eye Creme 5️⃣Acne treatment:🔑 use your favorite cream or gel for your acne treatment . #Rugby - Acne medication 5[products]#[FourStars] 6️⃣Moisture / Night cream : 🔑 Put a dot of product on your forehead, nose, chin and each cheek . Once the dots are on, simply massage your night cream into your skin in an upward and outwards motion. Once all of the product has been massaged into your skin. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration 7️⃣ Lip mask : 🔑 Most lip masks recommend exfoliating your lips first, especially if your lips are a bit shaggy with dry skin. You can use a lip scrub, or you can simply rub a wet washcloth over them to help remove dead skin. Dry your lips. Before applying the lip mask, your lips need to be dry.LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask
My current PM routine for dry skin 🌜✨
In the order that I use these products: 🌜 First Cleanse — The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser (not pictured) — lovely smooth texture, very gentle and no fragrance to irritate skin but doesn’t cut through makeup by itself ✨ Second Cleanse — philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser — nice and gentle, non-stripping but contains fragrance so I’ll be moving away from this cleanser once I’ve used up this bottle 🌜 Serum — The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% — goes on smoothly and dries down quickly, zinc controls oils on my nose and it’s helped by skin tone a lot ✨ Exfoliation — The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA — I use 2-3 times a week and my skin it beautifully soft and glowing the next morning. I love lactic acid exfoliators as they’re gentle on my dry and mildly sensitive skin. 🌜 Lip Exfoliation — LUSH - LUSH Honey Lip Scrub — I absolutely love this lip scrub, it’s my all time favourite. It contains honey which is moisturising and has healing properties and cooling peppermint along with caster sugar so you get a nice scrub while still being gentle. I use this 2-3 times a week especially after using matte lipsticks to keep my lips soft and hydrated. ✨ Moisturiser — YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask — I use this as my overnight moisturiser, it’s rich and creamy and packed with loads of great ingredients to which keep my skin hydrated and glowy including vitamin c, hyaluronic acid and squalane. 🌜Eye Cream — philosophy - Purity Made Simple Eye Gel — Not everybody sees eye cream as necessary but for me being over 30 and with dry skin and sensitive eye area a suitable eye cream is a must in my routine. I really like the gel texture of this product and it’s beautifully hydrating but for me once it’s gone I’ll be looking for something which will also tackle dark circles. ✨ Brow Treatment — BROW CODE - Brow Gold Nourishing Growth Oil — This is a totally unnecessary step for most but I have incredibly thin and sparse brows so for the last week I’ve incorporated this brow growth oil and I can already start to see a difference. I apply one drop per brow and brush through with a spooly brush. 🌜 Face Oil — GO-TO - Face Hero — I use this last to lock all the moisture into my skin and absolutely love it. I have a full run down on this product if you want to know more. ✨ Lip Treatment — LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask — I love this lip mask, it’s so smooth and moisturising for my lips and smells like sweet berries.
Additions to my Morning Skincare ☀️
Here are some additions to my morning skincare routine, that I didn’t show in my last post. Some I just got and started using and some I’ve been using on and off for awhile. PACIfICA - Sea & C Love Vitamin Serum just got this product yesterday, my cousin (who works at shoppers) recommend it to me. Not super oily, so nice if you have oily skin. Really light on your skin. Pretty affordable! tarte - SEA Radiance Drops I got this in a gift set, so it’s just a mini. Makes your skin GLOW!! I really want to purchase a full size but I couldn’t find it. GARNIER - SkinActive Clearly Brighter Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller I’ve been using this for awhile and I haven’t seen much of a difference. It conceals but doesn’t do much to get rid of dark circles. But the roller is pretty cool and refreshing in the morning. LUSH - LUSH Honey Lip Scrub does the job! Not to mention it’s edible! And it tastes yummy 😋 Lano - The Original 101 Ointment Multipurpose Superbalm it’s just a sample I got from Sephora. Just started using it and it’s pretty good. Super moisturizing, but I’m not sure if I want to purchase it yet.
Cure for Bad Day = Bright Lipstick!
I woke up in a funk today. I think months of nowhere to go, working from home and homeschooling have finally gotten to me. Plus yesterday I got dragged into someone else’s drama and that left me feeling uneasy and made it hard to sleep. So I did not want to get out of bed this morning. But I did. And to help cheer myself up, I put on a nice bright shade of lipstick. I am wearing Mac Lustre Lipstick in Lustering. These are $19 at Ulta, though I think my exact shade may be discontinued. It’s a light, creamy formula that goes on with a nice bright pigment. It really is a nice pick me up for a bad day.
EVERYDAY SOFT GLAM MAKEUP
I love a soft glam look when i am going out during the day. I and this one is super simple. After i prime, color correct, and fill in my brows I like to put powder on before i put on my foundation and let it bake while i am applying my eyeshadow. It helps to absorb oils from my skin and keep my skin looking oil free throughout the day. I use laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder in Deep. I used SEPHORA COLLECTION - Make No Mistake Foundation & Concealer Stick to prime my eyes. I like this concealer for my eyeshadow primer because it is thick and pigmented so a little goes a long way to make my eyeshadow pop. For my eyeshadow I’m only using 2 colors. My CROP - Bio Metal Eyeshadow in guilded on my lid and the color “Busted” from the #Urban Decay - Naked 2 Palette[products]#[FiveStars] in my crease. These 2 colors together give me a subtle glow. Im using mascara and edge brush as eyeliner because I ran out. I just rub the brush on the mascara applicator and then apply and I used the same mascara for my lashes. I used tarte - Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara I useLANCÔME - Teint Idole Ultra Long Wear Foundation in 530 Suede C. I used #IL Makiage - F*ck I’m Flawless Multi-use Perfecting Concealer[products]#[FourStars] in shade 14.5 and L'ORÉAL - Infallible Full Wear Waterproof Concealer in 440 Truffle to contour I used nyx NYX - Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette to highlight Set with MAC - Prep + Prime Fix+ Primer and Setting Spray Matte Finish i like to set before i apply my contour and highlight and after to help with oil. And to complete the look i use my favorite nine lipstick MAC - Lustre Lipstick in the shade Hug Me. #CheriePartner

Second love affair..
The classic Mac, lip liner/pencil. Believe it or not, I've been using Mac's lip liners since the end of highschool! I'm talking 15,17, 18 years! What I do, as a hardcore makeup lover, a smart shopper & to always have what I need, on hand. Buy classic colors. So, one red. One plum. One on the nose side or pink. Most of my lipsticks are either red or plum. All different shades, but one mac plum lip liner, or red etc (at least for me) match every other plum lipstick. So stuck with one main lip liner shade in each category, matching what you wear. I have one red 1 plum/wine and 1 in the softer side I'd consider nudes. And whether I'm wearing covergirl lipstick, or NYX.. I never need to spend even more money to buy yet another lip liner. I've had this problem with other lip liner brands. But at least for myself, I find ma's liner pretty amazing in the fact that they match almost 100% of my lipstick shades. As long as I have one per category of main color. I dont bother buying any pink, as I dont wear pink, I wont and wont waste money.MAC - MAC Lip Pencil
INTERVIEW MAKEUP + TIPS TO GETTING THE JOB💼✨
HOW I DID MY MAKEUP FOR INTERVIEWS + TIPS TO GETTING THE JOB I have been on the search for a new job for sometime now. I am a fairly recent graduate with little experience and plus being in a global pandemic it has been challenging to find the right fit. Throughout my research on how to look presentable during interviews, here are some tips I gathered that helped me get multiple job offers. Less is more: •Makeup: Now I am not a fan of this saying because I love being extra with contour, and big lashes, etc. but when you are doing makeup for an interview less is more. The interviewer’s main focus is going to be listening to what you can bring to their company. If they are distracted by glittery eyes or a bright pink lip they might not be fully listening to what you have to offer. I would recommend to stick to a more “conservative” look with a clean makeup base, minimal eye makeup and possibly a lip color that you feel comfortable in. •Hair: When choosing the right hairstyle for an interview, you still want to keep in mind that your face will be the main focus. With that being said, you do not want to take away from what you are saying by any hair distractions. It would be best to keep your hair pulled back and out of the way so it does not cause any interferences. (Especially if you play with your hair, that could be a big distraction away from what you are saying.) If wearing your hair down or a bright lip color makes you feel confident then I would go for it. Ultimately you want to be comfortable with how you look so that confidence can transfer over well into your interview Dress the part: Companies want to see if you are a good fit by imagining yourself in the role. When you dress the part you are saving them this step. If they can see you professionally as one of their own, it will be easier for them to determine if you are a good fit. I would recommend sticking to basic/neutral colors and solid pieces. Blazers are always a good choice when it comes to layering and they make me feel more professional and confident going into an interview. Again, like mentioned before, wear what you feel most comfortable in. Check your background: This tip has nothing to do with your actual physical image but I still think it’s important to mention now that a lot of interviews are being conducted over video-call platforms. I recommend choosing a background with MINIMAL clutter and possibly adding greenery into the scene. If none of this is possible, opt for a neutral-solid color background. You can even hang up an ironed white sheet if necessary. Also, make sure there will be minimal noise distractions wherever you are interviewing. If you live with others, make sure you let them know that you will be interviewing so no distractions can occur. SMILE & relax: Unless you are applying to a job where you do not need to be friendly… SMILE. It looks good to see that you are friendly and confident in the way you carry yourself. Also, it is important to relax and don't let the nerves get the best of you. • Psych tips: ◦Even if you mess up, if you are still smiling you can trick the interviewer into thinking you still have yourself composed. ◦The feeling of excitement and fear are SO closely related that you can turn one of those feelings into the other. When I get very anxious I like to tell myself I’m actually excited and it will help calm my nerves. Makeup used: •foundation:Too Faced - Born This Way Natural Finish Foundation •contour:MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - O!Mega Bronzer Coconut Perfect •blush: bareMinerals - bareMinerals Loose Powder BlushI like this blush because it has a little bit of shimmer in it and acts as a highlighter as well •mascara:Too Faced - Better Than Sex Mascara •false lashes: (custom) •lips: MAC - MAC Lip Pencil in ‘subculture' I hope these tips were helpful and good luck if you are in the interviewing process!
Swatches of Glossier Lip Products
Hi! I’m Vicky and I’m here from my insta, @beautywithvix! Swatches from Top to Bottom (searches are unfiltered and taken in direct sunlight) Vinylic Lip in Pony Generation G in Leo Generation G in Cake Lip Gloss in Clear Balm Dot Com in Cherry
The skin on our lips is just as important as the rest of our skin and it requires special care. I’ve been using this KAPLAN MD Skincare lip mask for a few years now. It’s been a lifesaver for my lips because it exfoliates with gentle papaya enzymes rather than a harsh scrub. I also had to highlight the Jaclyn lippies that just came in and they are SO buttery! This is legit my dream formula in lipstick and the colors are so beautiful. Not to mention the packaging feels so luxurious! 😍😍
I'm enjoying Glossier Balm Dot Com, Dior Stellar Shine, and these nclabeauty Jelly Balm lipsticks. The packaging is adorable, and it goes on so beautifully. I think it is very similar to the Dior Stellar Shine to be honest . It gives you enough color, and it's so hydrating. Plus , it makes your inner child happy when using it 👶👶 Hope you have a great day today !
Kissable tinted lips 👄
Who doesn’t like moistured lips without all the fuss? I’m all aboard the Kosas tinted lip oil train. I don’t wear tinted lip balms do this is the next best thing. Kosas recently released these tinted lip oils in 5 shades. This color is called Malibu. It’s a pretty bubblegum pink shade when applied. I like to do two layers so the color really pops. What I really love about these is that they’re not oily. They’re very moisturizing, contains hyaluronic acids and peptides. My lips don’t peel when wearing this and it adds a nice sheen. One gloss will run you $27. They are expensive but I snagged them during the BOGO sale a few weeks back. So it worked out to me paying $13.5 a gloss. I rate them 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️ Kosas - Wet Lip Oil Gloss

I use both these products daily! Carmex I use whenever I have really chapped lips and more so as a healing lip chapstick. The broadway one I use more as just a lip moisturizer to prevent biting at my lip or just to add a lil gloss! Review- both these products come in different flavors. The broadway one I use the mango one and I love it! Carmex I love the strawberry flavored and the original the best. I highly recommend these to anyone! Smell- both of these don’t smell great if you just smell them straight on but once you apply them they smell fine. Doesn’t really stink or smell “good” just kind of indifferent I give both these a 5/5! My lips are always smooth and soft with this magic duo. You can get carmex anywhere but in Ohio you can go to the black beauty hair store in Reynoldsburg for the lip gloss but I’m sure you can find it other places
