shanabanana
💸 I have combination skin so my t-zone is in the range of normal to oily skin and I have dry skin on my cheeks. My skin tone is warm ivory with a slight reddish discoloration in my cheeks I also have some freckles (sun spots) across my cheeks and my nose bridge (which bother me!). I also have very sensitive skin so I am alwyas cautious with new products or else my skin will becom super red and peel!
💸My first brand for skincare is Olay so when I go out shopping for new skincare, I always peep at what’s new in the play section. I have definitely have puffy eyes and dark circles on most days so I picked thisOLAY - Eyes Ultimate Eye Cream

A Eye Cream for Sensitive Eyes that Works!
I have uber sensitive eyes. Like anything around them makes them red, itchy, watery, and even my lashes fall out. 😩 I’m alway on the hunt for an eye cream for my sensitive eyes that actually WORKS.
Enter Hale & Hush Eye Mousse. I gotta say the ingredient stack didn’t “wow” me but it had some good enough ingredients and at this point with my eyeballs being little b’s I’ll take what I can get.
I used the eye mousse for about a week and didn’t notice much, but I kept using it because at least it wasn’t irritating my eyes. 🙌😎
The second week is when I really started to notice a change. 😃
So yeah I kinda love this and now have it in rotation. It’s mostly great for hydration. Great for summer ☀️ when you keep sweating 😅 and everything just seems to end up in your 👀 anyway! 😂

Give Your Eyes a Boost
Dye free and fragrance free is really what you want in an eye cream. I have been using Murad but for a cheaper price Neutrogena eye gel cream does the trick. I use this beneath my eyes in the morning because I get pretty dry.
Complete with hyaluronic acid and recommended by dermatologists, you can't go wrong. I find that I stay hydrated throughout the day. For the price, this is very cheap. Murad can get expensive and I found that the Neutrogena brand is just as good. Five stars for price and formula.

Kiehl's - Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado
The obsession is real! My friend got me hooked on this, she literally has perfect skin. Her crows feet are non existent, so I had to know what she was up to 😏 THIS IS THE ANSWER! It truly last a long time. I know it’s expensive 🥺 but it really does last for months! I saw a difference in about two weeks as well as my friends and family.
They always have sample kits at Sephora. Comes with 6 Kiehls products for 60 bucks and trust me you won’t regret it 💜

Fresh and clean 🧼
I used all the products in my previous video but I forgot to mention my under eye treatment!!! 😅
earthtoskin - Super Fruits Banana Brightening Eyecream I haven’t used this religiously but I do notice a difference when I do use it. I use it day and night and I especially love using it in the morning because it brightens my under eyes without having to use concealer and it has a nice highlight effect too!!

Eye care I don't care✨
I started the bulk of my skincare journey with Yves Rocher products. What attracted me at first was the price point and their focus on plant based products. I have run into issues with some of their products due to allergic reactions but I have a select few that I absolutely love! I'm slowly drifting away from them as I age, and I'm sure this is for a good reason. I find the products harsher on my skin the older I get.
Now my opinion is only one, and everyone's skin is different. So take this with a grain of salt.
I bought the lifting eye cream because I noticed I was getting early aging signs around my eyes. Since I have used the brand a lot I thought it was a good place to start. The lifting eye cream unfortunately for me falls into the "never will I ever put myself through that again" category. I gave this eye cream a nice long test of about three months. I think I tried so hard to love this because I loved the tube and the idea of applying eye cream with the smooth soft nozzle that glides over your eyes and gently massages them.
I tried this consistently for a month to see if the side effects would subside but they did not. I would put this on before bed, and wake up with tired, blurry eyes. The worst part is it would make my eyes seem puffier, making my eyes look like they have wrinkles and a bit of darkness where it was applied! Over all this product did the exact opposite of what I wanted it to do...
To say the least, I tried it. It was just not for me!!
If anyone has a suggestion for a gentle eye cream hit me up!! 💖✨ or any tips and tricks for eye care in general🥰
Shiseido Benefiance wrinkle smoothing eye cream
So I’ll start by saying I’m both disappointed in Shiseido, & also myself...
I used to use this eye cream a long time ago before I thoroughly researched ingredients in my skincare. I would read tons of reviews, but not always the ingredients. I loved the decadent feel & didn’t question it.
I recently blindly repurchased it & didn’t realize it had been reformulated. I used it for a few days & my eyes started getting red around the lash line, puffy & irritated! I started reading a few reviews & found people complaining about the reformulation... I was shocked to hear the yucky ingredients in it now.
But what really disappointed me was upon researching the old formula, I found out the ingredients were pretty similar! All the bad stuff I was mad about finding in the new formula were there all along! Both formulas contain mineral oil, petrolatum & paraffin in the first 8 ingredients.
I made some informational slides about these ingredients & where they come from. It’s kinda scary because these ingredients are in sooo many things, & rarely do products list the type of refinement these ingredients went through before they’re on your skin & lips. Somewhat recently, Europe banned all these ingredients from use in cosmetics & skincare if the refinement is not disclosed & up to par, but the United States has not...

SHISEIDO - Benefiance Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream
I didn’t notice much of a difference from the old formula to the new one, I think I’ve just used a lot of cleaner products since then. The scent didn’t bother me like some reviewers, it smelled like a normal eye cream to me.
The texture is very heavy & greasy. It didn’t absorb, even when I tried a smaller amount. Now that I know what’s in it, I understand why. Also as I mentioned earlier it was irritating... I got inflamed pores on my eyebrow area where I tweeze. I could see which places I had just pulled a hair because the pore definitely got clogged with this.
+ it went from $60 to $70 for .51 oz
DEFINITELY RETURNING 📦
So... THE LESSON LEARNED:
I will never blindly repurchase something just because I used to use it without researching the ingredients. I’ve been really into researching ingredients this year & I’ve let some products slip under my radar just because I had a fond memory of them or have used them for a long time...
