🧀 Skin Concern: Pores!🧀
Recently I have been obsessed with using the Skin Journey feature on Cherie. If you did not know, this fun little feature scans your face and tells you everything that is right and wrong with your face. JUST KIDDING! 🤪It scans your face and tells you in detail what is amazing and what can be worked on. Some key concerns that they target is acne, dark spots, pores, wrinkles, and dark circles. I have been using this feature at least once a week to check how I have been doing with my skincare routine and how I can tweak it to make my skin look healthier and livelier. I love ❤️this feature since it tells me how my skin is and it also gives me ingredients that can target that skin concern and products for that concern as well! I have sensitive combination skin. My t-zone is in the range of normal to oily skin and I have dry skin on my cheeks. I am usually in the range of excellent to very good but the one thing that is always in the red zone are my pores. It always shows that my pores are "large". 😩So I looked at what products target pores but provide hydration as well (I have super dry spots on my skin so I like to stay on the hydration side of the spectrum). I found so many reviews aboutThe Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

This review is long over due but the app kept crashing when I would try to post. And this app just has lots of bugs that makes it just nerve racking to use. But It’s been 6 months since buying my products by the ordinary and I definitely have something to say. Before I start: I should mention I was birth control (the pill) from May til September. I feel my BC helped to clear my skin. After I stopped I started to break out on my chin and forehead a lot! But I continued to use these products. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I use both of these products together. After washing my face i apply the Niacinamide + Zinc and then I apply the Hyaluronic acid + B5 on top. Then I would follow with my moisturizer. I haven’t found a moisturizer that I genuinely like the one I’m using is for your entire body and makes my face a bit oily after a while. My makeup (the serum) applies like normal on top. The hyaluronic acid has helped with dryness on my skin. I would usually still have dry/flaky skin even after applying a moisturizer but this product has eliminated this problem. The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane I like to apply this on my lips after doing a lip scrub or after applying a lip balm. It helps to seal moisture in my lips. I’m very skeptical about applying oily products to my face because I fear that it will break me out. So I’ve only been applying this product to my lips and some parts of my body. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I really like this product. I use it once every two weeks and at night. I was also using the AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay I would use this once in a while and I would mix it with matcha powder. I believe the AHA helped to clear my dark spots (acne scars). The clay mask helped to even my skin tone and minimize the wrinkles I had on my forehead. In terms of acne I feel like this is hard to completely eliminate because 1. I have been on and off of birth control, 2. My hormones (like most women) change especially around my period time, 3. Stress also does not help and lastly 4. Diet also influences your acne. However, I definitely believe my breakouts have been to a minimum and most of my acne never fully forms. This most likely has been with the help of the niacinamide + Zinc and also the masks that I use as well. For two months I also used DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel but I only used this for about two months. I didn’t see much of a difference using this product and I can’t use it along with AHA so I had to make sure I used them completely separate. The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil I hardly use this product, but I use it only on my hair. It has a strong smell to it and I don’t see much of a difference, besides shine, in my hair when using it. -BM
Best moisturizer for sensitive skin
The ordinary has quickly become my favorite brand because of its affordability and it’s high quality products. This moisturizer is marketed as a natural Moisturizer that is fairly simple. It has amino acids, dermal lipids and hyaluronic acid. It is targeted to combat dryness and works perfectly for my skin. It doesn’t have any parabens or sulfates which makes it perfect for me. The texture is a thicker cream that spreads easily and absorbs incredibly quick. I bought this to replace my dr. Jart water drop moisturizer and could not be happier. If I am feeling extra dry I will add a few drops of drunk elephant moisturizer too. It hydrates my skin just enough without making me too greasy throughout the day and it does not cause breakouts for me. It’s around $8 for 3.3 oz which is a price that can not be beat. I would recommend this for anyone starting to get in to skin care and even for those who have been taking care of their skin for years. It is a perfect add on for any routine. I would give it 5 out 5 stars because it is affordable and effective. The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA

Have you ever heard that "the skin damage you do in your 20s is going to show up in your 30s"? Fortunately, by taking early action, you can make a significant impact on your skin's future health. As you might known, the most important thing to do is using sunscreen. Then, start incorporating more skin-restoring ingredients in your skincare regime, like peptides. I picked deciem The Ordinary Buffet because basically it's an anti-aging serum that's rich in several peptide complexes: Syn-Ake, Matrixyl 3000, Matrixyl Synthe 6', Argilerox, Relistase and a probiotic peptide complex, in a base of amino acids, hyaluronic acid and probiotics. I use this serum in the morning, just after cleansing and toning. It's less runny than the Hyaluronic Acid serum, but also very lightweight. At first, it's a little bit tacky as you apply it but that goes away as you message it into the skin. The best part is that there's no pilling when layered with other products! There's also no fragrance. I just use about three drops and my skin absorbs it really fast. Now I don't have any deep wrinkles yet, but I do have some fine lines appearing on my forehead. I've noticed that they're less noticeable since I started incorporating peptides everyday in my routine. And because peptides promote rapid cell turnover, I also feel this serum helps my acne scars heal faster. Overall, I think this is a very mild and effective, more like a multivitamin for the skin. I would recommend this product if you're just starting out with anti-aging products.
Life changing product!!
Everyone has a favorite product. This one is definitely mine!✌🏼🌸 Picture 1️⃣ was taken 2 months ago when I first started using it Picture 2️⃣ was taken this past weekend. I have been using couple of @deciem products for quite few months and couple of them I just started using. These are some of the products which have worked for me. Two of my favorite products from them is the Niacinamide 10%+ Zinc 1% serum which I have been using from months and I went through so many bottles. I love anything Niacinamide and this one works so good. I notice a huge difference in my pores and texture of my skin. Also it keeps my acne at bay. The lactic acid 5%+ HA is such a gentle exfoliate. The consistency is runny so I use more like a toner than a serum. Honestly this gives such a beautiful glow and makes my skin look super clean. It's a great product to start of you're sensitive to acids and the price point you can't beat. The hyaluronic acid 2%+B5 is a product which i use for extra hydration. Just this serum on it own doesn't give me the hydration I need but I love to use as an additional serum in my routine to add the extra boost of Hydrating effects. The Buffet serum is like an all rounder with so many amazing peptides, amino acids,HA and some complex of matrixyl which is great for anti aging. The AHA 30%+BHA 2% peeling solution is highly concentrated at home chemical peel. I have just used twice so far but my skin feels super smooth, soft and glowy for days. The price point is unbeatable. All these are cruelty free, fragrance free and the ingredients in each are very simple and straightforward. Their products can also be a hit or miss for few and for me these things have worked well. Have you tried anything from @deciem? Which is your favorite product from them?
Long Awaited Review Part 2!!
Hey everyone! As I mentioned in my previous post, my skin was dull, I had acne scares along with acne too and uneven pigmentation. However, this next product saved me from all of that! The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution! You have probably heard how tremendous this product is and I’m here to give you more of that! I was stuck and I really thought my skin was never going to get better. Being an insecure brown Indian girl who is constantly trying to fit society’s “norms” is really difficult. Although this product helped with my insecurities, it made me realize I’m beautiful. My skin is amazing and sure, I still have acne and some problems but I’m on my way to triumph! My skin has never been better. I was a bit intimidated by the colour of this product and how deep the red was. I’ve heard it’s also called “the Blood mask” and that really woah-ed me! The smell of it was a little bit funky to me as well. Honestly the only downside of this in my opinion was the unpleasant scent of it. The scent comes from 2 ingredients included in the solution: Black Carrot and Tasmanian Pepperberry. Sounds crazy right? The scent threw me off, however it was tolerable but it may or may not be tolerable for you. It wasn’t too strong for me but really it depends on your nose. When I thought of all the benefits this solution would provide me, it immediately outweighed the scent for me. I applied this to my face from the finger tips of my hands. You can apply this directly from the dropper however be careful as to not let the dropper come in contact with your skin. This prevents any cross contamination. It was kind of warm I believe but that may just have been from the consistency. It was very liquid-y. The consistency of it made it easier to apply and again, a little goes a long way! I only used about 4-5 drops which I think is the normal amount of product to use on your skin. You’re not supposed to rub it into your skin, you’re supposed to gently apply it with the ends of your fingertips or even a silicone applicator. It didn’t burn for me as I’ve seen in all of the other reviews I’ve read and watched. It itched a little bit but there wasn’t any uncomfortable sensations. If you have sensitive skin or want to be safe, I recommend applying the product for 5 minutes the first time and adding a minute for each time you apply the mask in the future. NEVER exceed 10 minutes though! The second after I washed off the mask, I felt like a brand new person. It was amazing! My skin was glowing and it looked so incredible. It was at that moment that I realized this product was going to help my skin improve beyond belief. After a month of using it (only 2 times a week), my skin cleared up so well! It was too good to be true. I never thought my skin would reach this level of clarity. This mask helped me so incredibly much. 10/10 recommend! Please try this product out. It works wonders! I Used up These 2 In 18 Days And Here’s What Happened...
I used up a bottle of The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% and a bottle ofThe Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%within 18 days. I have oily skin with a tolerance for Niacinamide, so I only feel a little pain around my upper lip. But I don't recommand using the same amount if this is your first try. You definitely should start with small amounts, and build up your tolerance gradually. I used them for: Niacinamide is often touted to help manage acne, rosacea, pigmentation issues, and wrinkles and Azelaic Acid works on skin as a gentle leave-on exfoliant which helps unclog pores and refine skin's surface. How did I use: I normally use 1 pump of Niacinamide in the morning, and 2 pumps at night. But if I plan to do my makeup that morning, I won't use it. I use Azelaic Acid both in the morning and at night as well. The amount is similar to 2-3 jelly beans. And I don't use it before makeup. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% looks similar to liquid glue, and causes ball ups. The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% turns into a matte look after you spread it out for 10s. When you use it, make sure you do not draw in circles, cuz that causes ball ups or peelings on your face. Effects: I have been using it for about two weeks. My skin became smooth and my pimples are less visible. I guess the Azelaic Acid works really well for treating pimples. I got something like a pimple on my arm a while ago, it looks like a whitehead. And it became invisible the day after I used the Azelaic Acid at night. This combo is great at oil-controlling. I have oily skin and I sometimes even feel dry after using a great amount of it. Repurchase or not: The biggest problem with this combo is the ball ups it caused. But the effects are impressive. And this combo is VER Y affordable. So I will repurchase in the future.
