@drunkelephant B Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum.
For the most part I have pretty good skin. Yes I have dry skin but I’m able to keep that in check pretty easily through a consistent skincare routine. But I can’t really complain about dark circles or pigmentation problems and I get the typical monthly break out due to hormones but I haven’t ever like had serious skin care problems lucky! Everyone’s skin is different and everyone routine is different. We try so many different products and so many different brands are out there its nice to have staples. Like genuine no fuss products that claim they do a specific task or job and actually come through for your specific skin type with that claim. For me one of those products are @drunkelephant B-Hydra. It’s the perfect mix of vitamin B and Sodium Hyaluronate that just work so well to hold moisture in my skin. I actually can’t believe I don’t have the full size because I usually pick up the minis in the Sephora sale.
Do you guys have any staples or products you keep going back to? I would love to hear about them! #drunkelephant
I have received PR from DE but the products pictured above were purchase with my own money or were samples/ Sephora rewards!
DRUNK ELEPHANT-B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum
Jasmine scented loveliness with the malieorganics Botany Beauty Illuminating Serum .
This is an oil serum and my face just sucks this up, I think thanks to the jojoba oil base which is similar to your skin's natural sebum. Along with super nourishing kukui nut oil and other goodies like argan, apricot, and rose and Jasmine oils, this oil makes me feel like I'm at a super high end spa in the tropics! With my sensitive skin, this oil has been incredibly soothing and moisturizing without causing any irritation in the least.
I sometimes apply this on a dry face without any other products underneath just to let my skin fully absorb all the goodness of the oils. It's amazing how fast it absorbs! Great for both dry and oilier complexions.

Estee Lauder evening skincare regimen
Estee Lauder Micro Essence
I’ve been following tons of beauty content creators on YouTube and Instagram, but I am more drawn to those who have so much respect for the skin that their content is more about skin care than makeup. After all, if your skin looks good, your makeup will look fantastic. I discovered this holy grail product from Australian beauty editor, Eleanor Pendleton. I think she’s a global beauty ambassador of Estee Lauder hence she has tons of their golden products.
I must admit, the price is a bit too much for an essence, but I think SK-II is even more expensive. But with all my research, I learned that essence is an integral part of your skincare regimen. When I first tried on this essence, I noticed that my skin became hydrated. The product is very light and watery so it’s good for layering. I use it with a gentle cleanser, then this, followed by a serum, and a rich moisturizer. I have dry combination skin, which is pretty sensitive too, so as much as I can, I stay away from highly fragrant products. This isn’t smelly, and my skin doesn’t react to it hence I think it’s perfect for sensitive skin.
Paired with Estee Lauder Advanced Repair Night Serum, this product is a bomb! A lot of people on YouTube say this is investment for your skin and if you keep taking it, you will never age. I like that phrase so I’m sticking to this product.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again- this is arguably one of the best skincare products that I’ve tried all my life, and I have tried a lot. It’s hydrating, it instantly plumps up the skin, gentle on my face, and has a brightening effect. It’s just perfect for me. I’m so happy I decided to purchase this even if I find it very expensive.
Definitely a must try especially if you’re already in your 30s. We need to take care of our skin as early as we can. Our future selves will thank us. :)
Tatcha 💜 Fave or Meh?
Tatcha is a brand that I feel like it on everyone’s radar. Like regardless of who you are most people have heard of Tatcha. I’ve tried a few products by the brand with great hopes (because of the hype) and I’ve been let down every time. They bring classical Japanese beauty culture to the western market. For me the brand is a meh. The two products I’ve tired the most from them have been the TATCHA - Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum and TATCHA - THE SERUM STICK (both were gifted).
The TATCHA - Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum retails for $85 for .5 oz of product which I find completely over priced. There are a lot better options for eye creams that are less than half the price. They claim this eye serum brings youthful radiance to the under eye area. They have a little slanted applicator where the product pushes up that I assume you’re supposed to use to dot under the eye (it’s plastic though and not a cooling metal which for the price I would expect). It feels like a lightweight serum/cream consistency. I assumed because of the name it would have some brightening properties but once applied to the eye it doesn’t give you any kind of “glow”. After using it for a few weeks I wasn’t seeing a difference nor a “youthful glow” so I stopped using. It does lay well under make up and absorbs well but it’s not worth the price.
I like the TATCHA - THE SERUM STICK more than the eye serum but it’s still not a huge hit. For $48 you get .28 oz of a solid serum. Not to be /that person but I have a bottle of squalane oil from the ordinary for like for $8. You’re getting majorly jipped when it comes to product. It has balm consistency that actually smooths on the skin without tugging which I do enjoy. It doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin. I have eczema so what I ended up using this for was when I would get dry patches or flares I would rub some on it. It did seem to help dry patches (which yes, despite having oily skin I do get occasionally from my eczema) after a period of a few days of use but I still don’t think it’s worth the money.
I’ve also tried sample packets of their water cream and I had a full sized jar of their Indigo Smoothing Cream which I ended up giving to my boyfriend because I didn’t care for it (the outer portion of the lid also broke away from the part of the lid that screws on the product). I think for the price point a lot of their packaging feels super cheap. Especially the eye serum. For $85 the packaging feels so extremely cheap. It left me super confused and disappointed based on Tatcha’s price point and prestige.

Great essence
This a a good Essence to put on after serums and before your moisturizer. It feels really hydrating and fresh before your moisturizer absorbs up. belif - Hungarian Water Essence

Product Claim: soothe and rebuild the skin barrier ( from meebak.com)
Key Ingredients: retinol, madecassoside, centella asiatica, saccharomyces, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid
Texture: silky and light
Price: $20 - 30 mL
My Experience: This serum is the serum I would choose if I needed to pick on serum for life. This serum has all the ingredients that you would want to include in a routine. It has a great ingredient list and the texture is very light and silky. I like to use this in my AM routine. Since I do have dry skin this serum really helps my skin barrier and leaves my skin very hydrated. Over time I did notice that my skin was brighter and more even. Would I recommend it? YES! This serum has amazing ingredients and is super effective.
