So I purchased this cleanser about a week ago in Walmart. I honestly bought it because I saw it was only $6 & I have a major spending problem whenever I walk into the beauty/skincare section of any store 😬 e.l.f. - Superclarify Cleanser I expected it to be a crappy, cheap cleanser that would probably make me break out. HOWEVER, I was so, very wrong. Before buying this cleanser, I had been using CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin for months. It performs well, I wouldn’t call it amazing but it does it’s job & hasn’t caused me any issues. Lately I was testing out some primers & other products that have actually caused me to breakout just because my skin was probably like chillll, I wanna breathe! The Cerave cleanser usually gets rid of my pimples fairly easily, but it does take a couple of days. This ELF cleanser got rid of all my recent pimples on the first use. Literally. I couldn’t believe it! It comes in this off white milky gel-like cream that foams up a little as you use it. I can’t tell you have surprised I am with this stuff! My face is literally clear! & smooth! & it’s only $6! It also has Niacinamide in it, which is an all around amazing ingredient. It helps calm your face & prevent redness as well as texture. Elf has done it again for me, made an amazing product at an even more amazing price! Try it guys! Seriously!!! That’s all for now 👋🏻 Talk to you guys later! 💖 💋 @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick

Battle of the chemical sunscreens! ☀️
I’ve been trying different chemical sunscreens over the past year or so, and here are my thoughts! Bioré - UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ I bought this after seeing that it was a cult favorite on r/AsianBeauty. The texture is reminiscent of the Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel-Cream, except maybe a touch lighter. It’s a jelly-like gel-cream and has that same occlusive feeling. It has a light sunscreen-y scent, but not as strong as drugstore sunscreens. This didn’t irritate my skin, but I didn’t like the occlusive feeling. It made me feel oily, especially during the winter when I wore this over heavier moisturizers. However, my boyfriend has dry skin and loves this product. I would recommend it for people with dry skin as I would definitely consider this a moisturizing sunscreen! Supergoop! - Everyday Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 PA ++++ Supergoop is also a cult favorite for sunscreens and was recommended to me by my Curology provider. I really enjoyed this sunscreen! The texture is like a watery cream. It has a light scent (I’m not sure how to describe it? Vaguely floral?), but no synthetic fragrance. It’s water and sweat resistant—I’ve worn this sunscreen while hiking and skiing, and had no problems with reapplication. The only downside for me was that it is quite dewy and the shine doesn’t really die down. Might be better suited for dry skin rather than oily or combo skin. PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ I love this sunscreen! The texture is similar to Supergoop and is also a watery cream. It is scentless. The ingredients list is amazing and has soothing ingredients like glycerin, niacinamide, and madecassiside that you would normally find in a moisturizer. The finish is dewy, but unlike the Supergoop one, the dewiness does fade throughout the day. If I use a lot of hydrating layers before applying moisturizer and sunscreen, or reapply it throughout the day, this product can be a bit too dewy/occlusive for me, but overall I love this product and would repurchase! Krave - The Beet Shield This is my holy grail sunscreen! The texture is like a lotion-based serum—it’s watery and very light. This product is scentless and has antioxidants like beet root extract and resveratrol to help fight free radicals from sun damage. What I love about this product is that it doesn’t feel like you’re using a sunscreen, it feels more like an antioxidant serum. The finish is dewy, but it dies down pretty quickly and leaves you with a more natural-looking dewiness. Even after reapplying multiple layers throughout the day, I haven’t experienced any pilling. Liah Yoo, the founder of Krave Beauty, has said this sunscreen is not sweat resistant since they wanted to make a lighter formula that people would be encouraged to use everyday, but I don’t mind as this is so pleasant to apply for general daily use. Highly recommend this product!

Tips and Recommendations for Skincare Beginners!
Today I’ll be sharing some tips and tricks that I wish I knew when I first started getting into skincare. Keep in mind that I’m just trying to help others and please let me know if there is anything in this post that you disagree with. After reading this article I would define you recommend you do your own research! 1. SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN, SUNSCREEN! I cannot stress how important this is! Even if you don’t have an actual skincare routine (which it’s best if you do) you have to wear sunscreen. Sunscreen prevents premature aging, wrinkles, and malasma (dark spots). I recommend a sunscreen that has an SPF of more than 30, like the Purito Comfy Water Sun Block. This sunscreen is affordable, lightweight, and protective. It also has no white cast which is hard to find in a mineral sunscreen! 2. The three main steps that everyone should have in a routine are cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Like I’ve mentioned in my other posts, you don’t need anything fancy when you start out. Just stick to these three steps. You don’t want to add a ton of different products right when you start because this can overly sensitize you’re skin and cause irritation. Once you have been using a skincare routine consistently for awhile, you can slowly start to add products. I recommend a double cleanse system if you wear makeup. This is when you use a micellar water or oil based cleanser first, and then your regular daily cleanser. The most basic and cheap option for this is a micellar water. This does a great job at breaking down eye makeup. You can look at the picture for some beginner product recommendations! 3. DO NOT USE DIY SKINCARE! At one point in our lives, we definitely all rubbed a lemon on our face or something like that. Which now when I look back makes me cringe so hard! Most times, DIY skincare is horrible for your skin! Lemon is WAY too acidic for your face and using coffee grounds as a face scrub will cause micro tears on your skin! Please do NOT use DIY skincare, it’s just going to make your skin worse! I’ll be making a part 2 sometime soon! It would mean so much if you could cheer this post if you like it!
