Best Affordable Cleansing Oil
I have been double cleansing for quiet some time now, almost 7 years. There were trials and errors along the way of finding the right product for my skin. I first learned about cleansing oil from a youtuber and been doing it religously ever since. I first stumble upon a Korean cleansing oil which was great one. THE FACE SHOP - Rice Water Bright Light Cleansing Oil This cleansing oil is still my best experience with cleansing oils. However I wanted something that I can grab easily and I found PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil Face it feels a little thicker than TheFaceShop but still does the job very well. When I was surfing for more of their products on their website, I found another “Ultra Gentle” version. #Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula - Ultra Gentle Facial Cleansing Oil[products]#[FiveStars] Both offer almost similar feelings on my skin. Their ingredients are 90% the same. Some of the oils in them are : Soybean oil, Sweet Almond, Apricot oil, Grape Seed oil, Argan oil, Jojoba and Rice Bran oil. Both have fragrance in them(almost the last ingredient) but not overpowering it’s actually a pleasant smell plus they’re ophthalmologist approved!! I don’t wear makeup everyday, but when I do this cleansing oil removes makeup and foundation very well. I use one and a half to 2 pumps for my face and neck on my pm routine. I combine cleansing and massaging almost everyday. One bottle lasts me a long time. You can find them at Walmart, Target or other drugstores, they’re out of stock pretty often, that’s how you can tell it’s almost everyone’s favorite product. I recommend to order it from their website if you can’t get them at the stores. They’re very affordable, under $10 for 190ml/ 6.5 oz on their website. Overall, it is a very good cleansing oil to consider for skincare routine. I’ve used Palmer’s cleansing oil for 2 years now, and it has never failed me. Please let me know if you have any question on your precious comments down below. And have a wonderful day 💕

Combine the two??
I received the... #dermedicine - weightless face moisturizer [products]#[ThreeStars] in an Ipsy box a while back. From the start, I was never a fan of this product, however I kept using it anyway. As part of my skincare routine, I used this several occasions before continuing on to preparing for my makeup and it always made a mess of things. It would leave a white film and then my primer just moved it around, needless to say it just made doing my makeup a not so fun experience. I recently purchased... CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ and remembered why I used to love it! When I was either a preteen or teen, my stepmother bought me my first skincare set which was by Clinique and had the bar soap, the toner and this moisturizer. Over the years, I had actually moved on and tried different products and forgotten all about that first set. Well I suddenly remembered it and decided to purchase again. For what ever reason and not paying attention to what I had done, I put a small amount of each in my hands and started mixing the two together when I snapped back to reality and decided why not. I applied to combined products and then continued on to my primer and makeup. This was a game changer! Now I can finish off this terrible spf moisturizer and not feel rushed to replace it with something better.
Finally creating an actual skincare routine
I’m somewhat new to skincare. For the longest time I had the clearest skin but after college I started to get hormonal acne and some skin texture issues. Morning: Cleanser- LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin. I just got it a few days ago and so far I like it! Prior to this I was using Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser (which I still keep in my shower for after working out-this cleans my skin well but isn’t anything crazy special) Next: CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion - I really like this!! It’s absorbs quick and isn’t drying, often these types of products make my skin a little itchy but not this one! (I still use PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator but I do this every other day in the evening, it makes my skin very sensitive but it does work well) Spot Treatment: CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel - I’ve been using this for 2 weeks and I love it!! I notice a difference in any new breakouts, it stops them right in their tracks. Feels great too and soaks in nicely. Serums: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - trusty product that I will always use. I’m now adding in bareMinerals - Skinlongevity Long Life Herb Serumto help with my skin appearance and fine lines (~2 weeks of use and so far I like it, it’s hydrating and soaks into the skin. There’s a light scent that I don’t mind either) Moisturizer: CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+- using for 2 weeks and I really it! It’s gel based so it’s absorbs right into the skin. I don’t like heavy moisturizers because they make me oily, so this one is great! Keeps my skin happy even in the colder weather! Nighttime: Same cleanser as morning Same clarifying lotion/exfoliate as mentioned in morning, and same spot treatment Moisturizer: NEW unreleased bareMinerals Ageless Phyto-Retinol Face Cream. I got a full size product for free during a featured event, I believe this will retail for around $62 and be released in the new year. I’ve been using it for 2 weeks and my skin seems to be liking it! It’s a thicker cream so I prefer it only at night. There is a somewhat strong perfume-like scent which I don’t normally mind, but if I use my PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator prior to the cream, it does make my skin a little tingly/itchy. I like that it’s a plant based “retinol” and is less harsh on the skin. Hoping this one works out! Other products: The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane- Bought this prior to getting the bareMinerals Phyto-Retinol Cream. I haven’t tried it yet so no review. Not sure where to add this to my routine if/when I decide to use it. Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum- I got this before my breakouts but haven’t used it since, might try to add

Micellar Cleansing Water
Micellar Cleansing Water by Garnier is my #1 in completely removing all my makeup including sunscreen, eyeliner and mascara! What I love about this is that it does Not sting my face. I hate products that have any sort of alcohol/chemicals that irritate my skin. Micellar Water is perfect to use for getting rid of dirt/oil/makeup. 75% of that work gets done even before you start your cleansing, toning, moisturizing routine. I've always been a fan of this product and it works wonders for me. I have been breaking out less ever since I started using Micellar water. Therefore, I give this product my highest rating!
Current Products I'm Using
I have oil/combo skin and been struggling with hormonal acne for a few years now which is mainly around my chin. I have noticed some positive changes but also some negative ones, for example I have more blackheads in areas besides my nose which I never had before. Here are the products I've been using lately. AM Routine I don't cleanse in the morning just splash water on my face and pat dry, then I apply PAULA'S CHOICE - Resist C15 Super Booster after I apply moisturizer e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream - Fragrance Free then sunscreen Supergoop! - Play Everyday Lotion SPF 50 With Sunflower Extract PM Routine During the day I don't wear much makeup just some mascara so I just use GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water for my first cleanse, then I go in with PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore Normalizing Cleanser which I am just about out of so I will be using CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanserwhich I haven't tried before but decided to buy it because of all the hype! Than I apply my toner and depending on my skin at the time I will either use PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing Toner or I'm from - Rice Toner I have just recently purchased and starting using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% then I moisturizer with THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer I use PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator twice a weeks and PAULA'S CHOICE - 1% Retinol Treatment with Peptides + Vitamin C 3 times a week. My skin is still breaking out so I'm gonna try eliminating certain products to see if I can pin point what is causing the breakouts and blackheads. I recently purchased a cleansing brush and I'm gonna start by eliminating the Paulas choice BHA Exfoliator and start using the brush 2 or 3 times a week instead. If that's not the problem then I'm gonna try taking out the Vitamin C. If anyone has any advice or tips I am all ears!!!
✨ Personal Product Review on Cetaphil ✨
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser “Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is one of the gentlest non-soap cleansers. For face & body use, suitable all skin types. Soap free,ph balanced . Fragrance free. Lanolin free. Non-comedogenic (won't block pores). Dermatologist Recommended. “This is a very gentle cleanser, feels amazing on the skin as it is a thin glooey texture. After it is washed off the skin it feels soft and clean. This cleanser does not dry out your skin after, unless you’re skins barrier is already extremely dry. I would recommend this to anyone, but more towards sensitive skin or just anyone who needs a basic cleanser to cleanse either morning or night. This is a good cleanser if your skin is irritated as this has a very basic ingredients. On the product is it recommend to all skin types. For removing makeup I would recommend a different product as this cleanser does not do much but still can be used as one. If you do use this as you’re makeup remover I recommend to add an oil based cleanser to fully remove all your makeup :)Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser $16-$20 AUD Cetaphil Moisturising Cream “Cetaphil Moisturising Cream is for use on dry, sensitive skin working to bind water to the skin which softens your skin whilst helping to prevent moisture loss. This cream is lanolin, paraben and fragrance-free, and is non-comedogenic so it won't block pores. It is suitable for use on both the face and body.” I have used this moisturiser for over 5 years and still continuing, I use this in my body and face. This is a very soothing moisturiser and works well to moisten your skin. I have eczema but it’s not severe, patches here and there, and this product has made my skin feel better. I would recommend this to anyone although if you have extremely dry skin I would not as this might not be as effective. But this is a good starter moisturiser if you are looking for one :)Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream 15$-$20 AUD Silicone electric face cleansing brush This silicon electric face cleaning brush is very relaxing to turn on and massage our cleanser on our face, although the shape is effective around the face, it’s hard to get to small places like near the eye and nose. But over wise this product is great and affordable. The bristles are soft and can be used as a lip scrub as well. :) MINISO - Silicone Electric Face Cleansing Brush $10-15 AUD I hope this personal review helped you in some ways, anything relating about this you want to ask me, feel free to do so ✨ :)

I tried this Aveeno series
Last month my face was in a terrible condition. Probably because of the weather and long-time wearing mask at work. I turn from a combination to sensitive skin type. My girl recommended me to try the aveeno series. She is sensitive and she has been using their products for a while and loved it. I’ve tried their body lotion which I was okay with. Since the price is quite friendly and it is actually quite easy to get from drugstores especially during this pandemic, i decided to give it a try. I got these three in Walmart. Pretty pricy. I went with a cleanser, scrub (I know it is not recommended to use scrub when skin is sensitive, but my T area is pealing a lot. Aveeno - Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub Lessons learned. Ended up my skin was getting worse ! So girls, do not try to use scrubs when your skin is in a terrible condition) Smells great but this product just didn't work out for my skin type. Acne started showing on my skin after using this product. All in all not really bad but not amazing. It’s a good cheaper drug store facial cleanser. Aveeno - Positively Radiant Brightening Facial Cleanser This is a very gentle cleanser. Average drug store face wash. I like how gentle this product was on my skin and I love that it didn't dry out my face after using it. As the name says it has this silvery finish to it that makes the illusion of having a shiny skin. I prefer liquid form cleansers but since I bought it I am still using it, I can't say I love it. Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 This moisturizer is good value for its price range however the texture did feel very thick on my skin. Not greasy goes on smooth and has very light scent. After using for a week, I noticed that this moisturizer felt too oily for my skin. I didn’t like the way it felt on my hands when putting it on my face. I would say it is a great product for winter times. Overall this moisturizer felt too oily for my skin. I didn’t like the way it felt on my hands when putting it on my face. The whole series of Aveeno is very gentle and would work for many sensitive skins, I personally do not enjoy that much. Maybe because I am a combination that goes sensitive. I would really prefer something lighter during my sensitive time.

Squeeky Clean But Plump Face
THAYERS - Cucumber Facial Mist As much as I love sophisticated skincare products, I also love drugstore finds because they’re incredibly affordable and effective as well. Thayers is one of my go-to drugstore skincare brands. I used to tone my face with its witch hazel toner. I actually finished one big bottle. This cucumber facial mist feels great on skin after the double cleanse I have on a regular basis. I love this (and Avene Eau Thermale Spring Water) as facial mists that I just spritz on after cleansing and all throughout the day, especially that it’s just too hot and humid outside. ESTĒE LAUDER - Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Foam Cleanser/Purifying Mask I’m such a fan of products that do double duty, especially if they’re as pricey as Estee Lauder. I love using this as both a cleanser and a mask when my skin feels like it’s too congested because of the pollution outside or because of the makeup products I use. When I use it as a cleanser, it feels such a hydrating cleanser. It comes as thick and very foamy. So that’s perfect for you if you’re like me who have dry combination skin. I love this product as a mask as much as when I use it to clean my face. The only issue I deal with this is that my skin feels a bit creamy after applying it. This is why I pair it with a facial mist because it combats the creamy feel on my skin, leaving it feeling and looking hydrated, supple, and clean. Definitely recommend this to others.

Oily / Inner Dryness Skin Care Routine
I have always resented the fact that I have oily skin because it made me break out more often and left enlarged pores on my face. At the same time, I have inner dryness and if it’s not addressed, my face tends to produce more oil, which makes my skin concerns worse. However, over the years, I have come to terms with my skin and found a daily routine that works well for my skin type. Step 1 – CleanseProduct: Bioderma (Sensibio H20 Solution Micellaire)I like to go through a double cleanse system every night and I always start with cleansing water to remove the oil and dirt off my face to prevent build up that will clog my pores and lead to breakouts. This water is my holy grail item because it is very gentle on the skin yet effective in removing makeup residue or sunscreen, which I would apply every day. It does not have any scent, which is ideal for sensitive or acne-prone skin. Step 2 – Wash FaceProduct: Neutrogena (Deep Clean Facial Cleanser Normal to Oily Skin) Even though Bioderma’s cleansing water claims that it does not require wash-off, I still like to use a cleanser to get rid of any residue. This cleanser starts in a gel form, then lathers into a gentle foam when it touches water. I would have preferred it to be more foamy. However, it is just as effective in removing all the impurities and oil off my face, so I have no complaints. It has a citrusy scent, which I find quite pleasant, and my face feels very clean after using it without being stripped of moisture, so I quite enjoy this product. Step 3 – Soothing and Hydrating MistProduct: Avene (Eau Thermale Spring Water)I use this mist day and night, right after cleansing, to sooth my skin after the double cleanses and target my inner dryness. The mist spreads very evenly, covering every part of my face, and feel very refreshing and cooling, which wakes me right up in the morning. Step 4 – MoisturiserProduct: Clinique (Moisture Surge 72-hour auto-replenishing hydrator)Using an moisturizer is an essential last step of the skincare routine because it seals off the moisture we have applied beforehand and acts as a protective barrier for the skin. I chose this moisturizer because it is very light weight, in a gel texture, but hydrating enough to address my inner dryness, which prevents my face from over-producing oil. It also does not have any scent, so very safe for sensitive skin.

Hydration looks like this ✨
Hello! This is a must have! I tend to have dry skin and normal. I went through a lot of products, brands and homemade stuff and nothing will work to keep my face hydrate I’ll break sometimes and it tended to have patches. It was annoying but then I found this... I don’t why it took me so long to find this products. When I first got it, my mom was the one who told to try Hyaluronic Acid which at first I was a bit scared (not gonna lie the word acid threw me off). I went for it anyway, apply it at night and went to bed feeling pretty fresh. next morning my face was looking hydrate and glowing. I was shook! As couple of months went by I kept using and discover the cleansing gel, since then I haven’t change much my daily skin routine. It leaves my face clean and feeling pretty hydrated. I have bought more products containing Hyaluronic Acid as my face seems to love it. I’ll show more later! tip: when drying your face after washing at night, tap your face with the towel don’t rub it. Byeeee! 🤍

What a nightmare! I turn from oily skin to dry skin after using Clinique gel.
CLINIQUE - Foaming Sonic Facial Soap CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel · 19 years old I had oily＆sensitive skin when I was 19. I got to know Clinique series in a marketing class where the tutor introduced the segmentation strategy this company had adopted. At that time, I couldn’t be happier because Clinique provides differentiated products tackling separate kinds of skincare demands. I was too lazy to choose from overwhelming products in the market. As Clinique was best known for its laboratory technologies (sounds like good for sensitive skin), I guess I could give some of its products a try. · 19-21 years old Then I went into a shopping mall and tried Clinique foaming sonic facial soap and Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel. It feels so cool, and I bought them without hesitation and began my extended two-year use of this daily routine. Guess what? I turned to dehydrated skin as a result—what a nightmare for me at that time. To reduce oil, I ended up creating another problem for me. Though the soap was good at cleansing (in this way, it reduces the chance of getting acne), it did make me feel tense on my face after a one-year application. I thought the gel would have been efficient in helping to offset the problem the facial soap left. But I was all WRONG! · 22 years old After another year of using those two products, I gradually found my face plump and radiant until I went into the beauty salon; dermatologists tested my skin type, which became extremely dry. The dermatologist that I should change products immediately. How frustrated I was. I thought it did include less moisturizing function in its moisturizing products only to pursue its goal of bringing a fresh feeling to oily skin. Maybe it (especially the gel) works out for some people. I would not return to buy products of this brand because it does little in moisturizing and is not cost-effective, though.
