Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid
It’s a serum-oil hybrid that is applied as the last step in your skincare routine, after sunscreen. It’s meant to give you that glow, that “dewy” well moisturized look. In my opinion, Future Dew was marketed as a product that gives you the make-up-no-make-up look and I totally fell for it. My first impression was honestly WTF is this? I followed the directions and used two pumps for my face. I looked like a mega glazed donut so I had to tone it down with light powder. Throughout the day, I also felt like my face had increased oil production. To avoid the mega glazed donut look, I tried just one pump for my face and thought I had achieved the dewy look. But the dewy look disappears quickly, especially if you apply make-up, even a light powder. It also didn’t matter if I used 1 or 2 pumps, the product feels heavy and uncomfortable. After a few uses, I decided to take a break from it. I tried it again a couple months later to see if it was truly a nay. I introduced it daily to my AM skincare routine. It still felt heavy and uncomfortable. The last straw for this product was that it completely broke me out. I stopped using the product and my skin cleared up. Another disappointing thing about this product is that its PAO is 6 months. That’s a short PAO for a product that only requires 1-2 pumps per use? I wondered about using this on my body even though it’s past the 6 months...any thoughts on this?

Glossier futuredew ✨
It seems to me that this is a bit of a polarizing product. Some swear by it while others find it pointless. Well, I’m proudly on the “swear by it” side of things. Futuredew is an oil serum hybrid made up of plant-based extracts and nourishing oils that promises to give your skin a dewy, hydrated look. It’s meant to be used as the last step of your skincare routine before you apply your makeup. Note: it’s safe to apply after your sunscreen, so no worries there! I have VERY dry skin and don’t have any oily or combination patches that I have to worry about, so I was very intrigued when I saw this product online. As soon as I applied it for the first time, my skin looked luminous and quenched, and that look shined through my tinted moisturizer once it was applied. I wore it for about nine hours, and it held up beautifully. I now use this almost every day. It does feel tacky when you first apply it, but it’ll set after a few minutes. Also, a little goes a long way. If you’re not into a luminous finish all over the place, you can place this product on the high points of your face like you would a highlighter. I 100% recommend this product if you have normal to dry skin. ✨

2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Chloé
This is the second spring/summer 2021 fashion week inspired look I did. Make sure to check out my other Cherie post for my Hermès look. This look inspired by Chloé focuses on smoldering, smudged out black-rimmed eyes, dewy skin, and juicy nude lips. The eye look was particularly interesting to me because of the blank spaces in the center of the model’s lower and upper lids. The base of this look is the same as my Hermès look. I’ve included the inspo photo that I found on Allure. Complexion: Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid - this oil-serum hybrid is perfect for adding a glowy base on bare skin, under makeup, or over makeup on the high points of your face for a natural, yet wet-looking highlight. I used 1 pump all over my face under my skin tint, and a tiny bit dabbed on the tops of my cheek bones after my skin tint. $24 ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 “balos” - light coverage to even out my skin tone and also amp up the dew. $46 e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer “light peach” - I used 2 tiny dots under my eyes to add some coverage. $6 AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour “fawn” - the model does not appear to be wearing any cheek products; however, has beautiful, defined cheekbones. I don’t have defined cheekbones, so I used this to give a slight contoured effect. $1 Now the fun part! I used URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil “perversion” to lightly outline the inner and outer portions of my top and bottom lash lines. I smudged this out with a pencil brush. Then I used the shade “black” from my LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette to intensify the smokiness. I made sure to keep the space directly in the middle of my eyes blank on both upper and lower lash lines. I then drew a thick wing on the outer corner of each eye, topped with black shadow, and smudged inwards. I couldn’t tell if the model was wearing mascara, but I added 1 quick coat of URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara to add an extra pop to my eyes. For lips, I lightly blotted COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip “little one” (limited edition, no longer available) to add a hint of nude to my lips. Then I topped with the ICONIC - Lip Plumping Gloss in “nearly nude” . This gloss is super glossy and wet looking - perfect for ultra juicy-looking lips! This look was so fun to create. Unlike the Hermès look, this isn’t something I would personally wear day-to-day, but for Halloween or the runway it’s perfect! It’s so hard not to smile in photos 🤪 #CheriePartner

Hiiiii! This product is one of my favorite skincare items. One problem is I can’t seem to find it online or in stores. It is out of stock online. If you know where I could buy this PLEASEEEE help!!!! 🤨 A product that is similar is the Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid which I will be doing a post about soon 🥳! Anywayyy, here’s my review: bareMinerals - Externalixir Skin-volumizing oil serum[FourStars] The Externalixir is half oil half serum. The oil settles at the top and the serum sits at the bottom. I shake up the bottle and take two to three drops for my face. This really does plump my skin and add a glow like no other product I have tried. Some of the ingredients include calcium, plantain leaf extract, baobab seed oil, lavender, and ginger root extract. This isn’t too greasy like an oil would be because of the serum in it. I’m not sure if this would work well for all skin types but my combination skin loves it! If you are able to get your hands on this, I reccommend you give it a try 🥰

Not worth the hype...Glossier FutureDew Serum
Not worth the hype...Glossier FutureDew Serum
Glossier - FutureDew What is it? A shortcut for dewy, glowy skin via nourishing oils and plant based extracts. It can be used as desired: before or after moisturizer or on its own for the ultimate glow Skin type: All Texture: Medium consistency oil based serum I honestly don’t know what to say about this but that I just don’t like it that much. It makes me look oily rather than glowy and gives me a tired appearance under makeup. It doesn’t sink in but just kind of sits on top of the skin and other products. I think it’s overpriced (as are a lot of Glossier products) for what it is at $24 for 1 FL oz. the packaging is definitely aesthetically pleasing, however, which is a desired aspect of Glossier. I wouldn’t recommend this. A good product that is very similar to this that I love is the new Lilah B Aglow Priming Oil. It’s pricier but truly adds dimension and glow to the skin. A product that I like, but don’t love
A product that I like, but don’t love
Glossier futuredew has been controversial on the skincare instagrams recently, because some people reported breaking out with cystic acne after using it for the first few times. (maybe because of the rosemary extract ingredient). However, I haven’t had any issues since I started using it, but I will say it’s not my favorite product in the world. It’s marketed as the last step of your skincare (like an oil) but I still can’t tell if you use it before or after your sunscreen. For that reason, I’ve been using it mostly in the evenings so that I don’t have to worry about the sunscreen step, and for that purpose, I actually really like it! It does make you look like a glazed donut, but since my skin isn’t oily, it doesn’t look overly done. It slightly fades over time but I don’t use a highlighter when I use this product, so I think it’s pretty cool. Overall, given that Glossier has a great return policy and it’s a great value for money, I would recommend trying this out to see if you personally like it, and don’t be afraid to return it if it doesn’t work for you.

INSTANT GLOW 💫
INSTANT GLOW 💫
Dullness is one of my main skin concerns, specially during these times that I’m not getting the best sleep and indulging in way too many snacks 😛 When Glossier came out with Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid I knew I had to cop immediately. This oil serum hybrid adds so much dewiness to the skin and looks beautiful with makeup and on bare skin. I love to use it on days when I’m not wearing makeup, so literally every day lately. They suggest using it as the last step in your routine even after sunscreen but sunscreen should always be the last step to your routine, and it doesn’t mess with the finish in my opinion. The texture reminds me of the VDL Fresh lumilayer primer which I love so naturally, I adore this. The ingredient list includes grape seed oil and rosehip seed oil which are amazing to get that glowy skin! I have combination skin and this doesn’t break me out or make me look oily just dewy and super fresh!
