Is Colorpop REALLY a Perfect Dupe for Urban Decay?

I used to buy COLOURPOP - Colourpop Super Shock Shadow
when I was a student, which is said to be a affordable dupe for Urban Decay's Space Cowboy. And since I started working, I've been using URBAN DECAY - URBAN DECAY Single Eyeshadow
. Let's compare these two brands of eyeshadows today. ⚡In terms of their powder quality, UD's Cowboy is very delicate and smooth and can be applied with a brush. Ritz's powder is relatively coarser and you can feel the shimmers in it when applying it. Both powders won't fly everywhere if you set your makeup properly. ⚡In terms of the shade, Cowboy is lighter and more transparent while Ritz has a darker base color so it creates the impression of more makeup. ⚡Looking at the shimmers, Cowboy has finer and shinier shimmers and looks smooth and clear when applied on the eyelids while Ritz's shimmers are less fine and duller. ⚡Price: Urban Decay's Cowboy - for $20.00 for 0.05 oz, Colorpop Ritz - for $6.00 and contains 0.07 oz. Cowboy has a better effect overall. Considering the cost, Ritz is still a really good choice. Students with a tight budget can give Ritz a try.

Are you a holo fan?
I love a holographic shimmer, a color shift, a duochrome. I’m a sucker for them all. Just a collection of holographic inspired products ogx - Kandee Pop Glam Ultra-Hydrating Conditioner this and the shampoo that go with it are my favorite. They smell so sooooo good. And the scent stays. I actually hadn’t used regular shampoo/condition in a couple years but broke my routine just for this scent. Now I’m hooked. It’s great for coaxing a wave out too. KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Alchemist Holographic Palette eh. Pretty and fun. You aren’t wearing it everyday so who cares beyond that. It’s cool as hell. LUSH - Groovy Kind Of Love Bath Bomb I could go broke buying all the Lush bath bombs. This one is no exception. Smells amazing. The color can sometimes stain your skin though, it’s hit or miss. GLAMGLOW - Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer this is one of those products that I can’t ever tell if I love it or hate it. It smells good. Has a good texture. Sometimes I’ll wear instead of moisturizer and I feel like a shimmery oil slick. I think it’s better dabbed on dry spots. I have it in Nude Glow Rare Beauty - Always an Optimist Illuminating Primer URBAN DECAY - URBAN DECAY Single Eyeshadow I would buy every dang duo chrome color Urban Decay made I love these so much! These 2 are Tonic and Lounge. BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter I use this alllllll the time as a highlight for the inner corner of my eyes or to give my lips an extra pop. It’s way too shimmery for all over though. #Doll Face Beauty - hologram prismatic lip gloss[products]#[FourStars] perfect holographic color. Sheer shimmery blue. A little sticky and doesn’t last long.

Flipping for Color Flip / Duo Chrome
These are my go to date night, going out, get fancy eye colors. They add a pop of sexy mystery to your eye look without having to use multiple shadows. They are the ideal shadows for hazel eyes because they are basically hazel shadows! From left to right: 1. This one is URBAN DECAY - URBAN DECAY Single Eyeshadow in Tonic. I just got it and I don’t have anything to compare it to yet! The next 3 are the ones I wear alllll the time and I get tons of compliments every time: 2. URBAN DECAY - URBAN DECAY Single Eyeshadow in Lounge - A gorgeous emerald/brown/red shift. If you use a good primer it won’t have any fall out and it’s just SO pretty. Some nice metallic brown liner and black mascara and you will look like a fierce feline. 3. NATASHA DENONA - Star Eyeshadow Palette in Orion - This one is a bit more teal/ruby but the texture is really strange. It’s very creamy and hard to work with with a brush. When you try to pick it up it kind of crumbles all over. It’s really pretty once you get it on but you really need to use eye pads and do you eye make up first to avoid fall out though. It’s my least favorite of the bunch. 4. BUXOM - Customizable Eyeshadow Bar Single Refills in No Faux (Iridescent Snakeskin) - Very similar to the Urban Decay color an emerald/brown/red shift. Good texture. Maybe just a bit more of a brown tone than the Urban Decay. 5. ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Eye Shadow Single in Dragonfly - This one is more of a blue/black tone. I was trying this one out to see how it would play with green/brown hazel eyes but I’m not totally convinced yet. My eyes can look dark and witchy very fast. Does anyone have any color shift/duochrome shadows that you love?? I’m always looking for new ones!

My favourite eyeshadows
My favourite eyeshadows
Here are three of my favourite eyeshadow products that I would like to recommend: 1.M.A.C Eye Shadow - Fashion’s Field Day This is a single pressed eyeshadow from M.A.C. I like this one because the colour is so special. Basically, it’s a beautiful pinky coral shade eyeshadow with a pearly finish, but it has a fine golden shimmer that creates a kind of frost eyeshadow look. It’s not that strong reflective and iridescent shimmer so it can still be very natural for day-to-day use. The texture is a little bit dry but acceptable and the pigmentation is good. It applies evenly on my eyelid and blends very well.  2.COLOURPOP Super Shock Shadow Ultra-Glitter - DGAF I would highly recommend this single eyeshadow if you are looking for a shimmer eyeshadow with glitters. I really love this unique bouncy texture of COLOURPOP. It’s so creamy, so soft and so smooth. Only one swipe is needed to deliver an intense pigmentation. The best tool to apply this eyeshadow is your fingers. And this shade DGAF is the best seller. It has warm-toned brown shade and with many golden glitters to create a multi-dimensional look.   3.CHANEL Multi-effect Quadra Eyeshadow - 268 This is my favourite eyeshadow palette of my whole collection. This palette has four shades that contain three shades of brown and a beautiful warm red shade, and all four shades are matte. The colour combination is exactly for a fall makeup look, and the warm red shade recalls me maple leaves. The texture is not that dry as many other matte eyeshadows especially the red one. The colour is buildable and well-blended on my eyelids.

The lilahbeauty Illuminater in b captivating gives the nicest pop of glow. Also taking a photo of your face with your DSLR is really hard!!! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

Hey look! Another dupe post! T
Hey look! Another dupe post! These are my only posts that do well any more so I'm going to start bombarding you with them. Be prepared. This is the Natasha Denona 04 palette and it retails for $48. The shadows in that palette are repeated in her large 28 pan palettes and sold individually as well. Swipe left for zeeee names! As far as the dupes... Makeup Geek eyeshadows are $6. Sydney Grace eyeshadows are also $6. ColourPop eyeshadows are $4. And you can get Nabla eyeshadows from Beauty Bay for $8 and they do free worldwide shipping. It would cost you $30 to buy all 5 dupes. And tbh with you, I don't think that ND shadows are much better than the other brands. But that's just my opinion. I'm sure many people would disagree with me. The last one that I bought is Lila. I just don't think that they're worth the money. But I've got like 10,000 other palettes so that should keep me busy for awhile. . In the light of day I've realized that ColourPop Now and Zen is closer to Aura than MUG Voltage. Voltage is more yellow.

Warm Tone Palette: Dupes vs High-End Products
Warm Tone Palette: Dupes vs High-End Products
COLOURPOP-FEM ROSA - KARRUECHE X COLOURPOP Price: $18 This palette is a straight-up warm and a hint of the neutral colour like. I personally recommend this palette out of all the colour pop palettes. This swatch has six mattes in it. It also has the shade ‘Ladylike’, you can set your eye primer with this and that’s what I have to do with this shade. It’s kind of like creamy light banana shade. You can also use this to highlight your brow bone and your inner corner if you want a matte highlight. ‘Chick’: if you want to highlight your brow bone with it, it is more gold and it’s glitterier. It also has some nice ledge shades, like ‘Dainty’, ‘Mademoiselle’, and ‘Empress’. You get 4 transition shades: ‘Dear’, ‘Missy’, ‘Damsel’ and ‘Duchess’. The first three shades are warmer, and ‘Duchess’ is more neutral. So, you have that option definitely with transition shades it really directs where your look is going. Naked Heat Collection by Urban Decay Price: $54 It is definitely warm tones too. It has 12 rectangular shape shadows, a large mirror, and a double-sided brush as usual. The shades set up from light to dark. I’m going to quote urban decay on this, it says this is the most shade driven Naked palette urban decay has ever created. And I completely agree with that. These shades in this are very monochromatic. There are too many ‘RED’ in it. It only has four shades are neutral and one shade is kind of purple. There are 7 matte shades and 5 shimmer shades. In terms of the shade, the two palettes are similar. Urban Decay is more expensive, but I don't think it performs better. If you want to travel with one of them, I think you'll prefer COLOURPOP because it's much lighter in weight.

Clinique eyeshadow palette
Clinique eyeshadow palette
I received this eyeshadow palette from a gift with purchase promotion. I have never tried Clinique eyeshadows prior to this. I was excited since the colours were very neutral, making it easy to wear everyday! The consistency of the eyeshadows are very chalky... especially the lighter colours. As well, they are not that pigmented.. which is a bummer! A lot of fall outs come off, making it very hard to pack on colour. I am really disappointed with this product. I would not recommend this product and do not think the price is worth it. #Clinique - All about shadow palette[products]#[TwoStars]

Eyeshadows with a different texture—creamy or liquid?
Eyeshadows with a different texture—creamy or liquid?
Speaking of eyeshadows, powder is the most popular formula because these eyeshadows are usually easy to blend, and packed in a palette, really easy to carry. But in recent years, there are many different kinds of formulas released. I am a glitter person, so I really love the Super Shock shadows and Stila Glitter & Glow liquid eye shadows. Today I picked two with pink and purple undertone and blue glitters inside to show the differences between them. Let’s start with the cheaper one. The super shock shadow is a special formula from Colourpop, and there are several textures, such as matte, glitter and metallic. They are creamy powder with a unique bouncy-like texture. This color is called Party of Five, which is the 5th-anniversary limited shadow, but it is so popular that the brand kept it. It’s a warm burgundy shade with blue glitters inside. The pigmentation is great, and I think the best tool for this formula is your finger because it’s so creamy, and brushes can’t grab the color. And the undertone of this shadow is not too light, so I usually use it all over my eyelids and deepen my outer corners with a darker matte shade, and the blue glitters really pop out. The only weakness is that the longer you wear it, there are less glitters. Since it’s only $6 and can’t be used up in several years, I am still a big fan of this collection. For the liquid eyeshadows, I think Stila is one of the first several brands to release this kind of product. The first products basically only have big glitters inside, and then they launched several duo-chrome colors, and Sea Siren is one of them. This is a bright lavender shade with bright blue pearl glitters. It is lightweight and dries quickly with no fallout. The applicator is also soft and easy to use, and I always use my finger to blend the edges after applying on my lids. For me, this color is too light to wear along, so I always use it on the center of my eyes and as a highlighter on the tip of my nose. Comparing these two, the Colourpop one is more affordable and can be used alone, and the Stila one is shinier and lasting longer. I can’t give up either of them, and I think you can make decisions based on your budget.
