Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 4
Hey ya’ll! In part 4 of Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines we’re reviewing @Raks and @juliachristine’s skincare routines. Starting with @Rakswho reached out to me via Cherie message because she started skincare about a year ago because of her upcoming wedding. She starts by cleansing with theThursday Plantation - Tea Tree Face Wash Foam which costs $8.99 for 5.1 fl oz. This cleanser is very basic. It has tea tree oil, and eucalyptus oil. My issue is with the eucalyptus oil, which is a very irritating essential oil right up there with lemon oil and peppermint oil. If this doesn’t irritate your skin then it’s a great cleanser, but I can’t recommend it to those with sensitive skin. Then she goes in with 4 serums. First is thepura d'or - 20% Vitamin C Serum which costs $14.99 for 4 fl oz. This is a really good serum. It has aloe vera juice, glycerin, jojoba oil, and argan oil which are hydrating ingredients, and then it has hylaronic acid, retinol, and Vitamin C. I love it! Then she uses#The Ordinary - Nicinamide Serum[products]#[FiveStars] which costs $5.90 for 1 fl oz. We’ve talked a lot about this serum, it’s very good. Next is the#Tree Of Life - Hylaronic acid serum[products]#[TwoStars] which costs $10.95 for 1 fl oz. I don’t like this serum. It started off good with hylaronic acid, aloe vera juice, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C, but it contains way too many Essential oils and irritating extracts. And her final serum is theSkinMedica - LYTERA 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum which costs $130.90 for 2 fl oz, which is very expensive. This is not worth the price. It has nicinamide and glycerin, and then some not very researched acids. I don’t recommend continuing use of this serum. Then to moisturize she goes in with theOLAY - Regenerist Regenerating Day Cream which costs $29.99 for 1.7 fl oz. I don’t like this moisturizer. Let’s start with some positives. It has nicinamide, glycerin, and Vitamin B3. Now it has a lot of bad ingredients also. It has Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which is a harsh cleansing agent, as well as fragrance being the 6th ingredient. The she uses a Neutrogena sunscreen, and occasionally usesThe Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution which costs $7.20 for 1 fl oz. This is a great exfoliant. I think @Raks is using too many serums. I would stick to only the Pura D’or and The Ordinary serum, and ditch the other two. Keep the cleanser, and maybe try a different moisturizer. You asked for mineral sunscreen reccomendations for dark skin tones that don’t have a white cast, so I got you girl! I have light skin, but I did some research and I’d recommend the#First Aid Beauty - Weightless Mineral SPF 30[products]#[FiveStars] which costs $34 for 1.5 fl oz, and the #Biossance - Squalane Zinc Sheer SPF 30[products]#[FiveStars] which costs $30 for 1.7 fl oz. Both of these have minimal white cast, and Skincare by Hyram recommends them. Next is @juliachristine’s night routine. She starts off by cleansing with the #Vanicream - Unscented Gentle Cleanser[products]#[ThreeStars] witch costs $8.99 for 8 fl oz. This a nice basic cleanser with glycerin. Next she uses the#OBAGI - Tretinoin 0.025% Cream[products]#[TwoStars] which costs $84 for .7 fl oz. This cream has tretinoin which is a Vitamin A derivative which can treat acne, as well as retinol which also Vitamin A. I don’t think it’s worth the price, but it’s okay. Next she uses the #The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%[products]#[FourStars] which costs $7.99 for 1 fl oz. Along with azelaic acid, it has dimethicone which is a great moisturizer for dry skin. Next she uses theCeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin which costs $17.99 for 15 fl oz. Y’all know I love this product! Finally she finishes off with theVERSED - ZERO-G Smoothing Eye Cream witch costs $17.99 for .5 fl oz. Eye cream is definitely not necessary but this one is great! It has glycerin, algae extract, and olive oil which are hydrating, along with shea butter and a blend of peptides which can help firm the skin and increase collagen production which can help reduce fine lines around the eyes. Overall @juliachristine your routine looks great! That’s it for this post please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment your opinions on these products, and follow me for similar content. Upcoming posts include a 1 month Curology review and unnecessary skincare steps you don’t need. -Mae
Suggestions help?? 🥲
I’m still having trouble with my acne, at first it was clearing up then all of sudden it keeps getting worse, any recommendations will help ! 😣 Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser epielle - Black Charcoal Peel-Off Mask The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Sometimes I would use .. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% but if I don’t I would skip it and use .. The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%
have you heard of Skinimalism? According to Pinterest it's a new beauty trend and it's gonna be BIG in 2021. It's all about makeup that lets your skin shine through... "flaws" and all! I'm really loving this trend because it reminds us we don't have to be snatched all the time 🙌🏾 here's the product list for this look and I have a full tutorial up on YouTube... link in bio ❤️❤️ e.l.f. - e.l.f. These saved my dry skin! ❄️
I usually have combination skin but for the past few weeks my skin has been extremely dry and tight. I’ve felt the most dryness on the lower parts of my cheeks and slowly my face has become more sensitive. These products have definitely helped improve the texture and hydration of my skin. I’m usually somewhat dry with my forehead/nose being really oily. My area has been having really cold dry winter days and nights. I start off with glossier milky jelly cleanser. It’s super conditioning. It doesn’t lather and helps soothe the redness. This has always worked for my combination skin and now works perfectly for my dehydrated dry skin. This doesn’t have a scent which I love. I have the full size and I already bought a back up of this. Full size is 6 oz $18 Mini size is 2 oz $9 Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser I follow with my peach & Lilly glass skin refining serum. I’ve been using this since July and it’s really light but moisturizing. It doesn’t irritate my skin at all and I’ve definitely seen my skin be less textured. This texture is very thin close to watery. This also doesn’t have a scent to it. It’s kinda pricey but does last several months. It’s $39 for 1 oz PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum For moisturizer I’ve been using the GLAMGLOW moisture trip omega rich moisturizer. This is a lightweight moisturizer but feels very hydrating. It has helped with my redness a lot. It has hyaluronic acid so it will help with dryness. It’s a nice feeling knowing you’re putting on a good moisturizer to help with dryness without the thickness of it. It has a slight fresh/avocado scent to it. It’s pricey at $55 for 1.7 oz. GLAMGLOW - MOISTURETRIP Omega-Rich Face Moisturizer At night I love to follow with the origins drink up intensive overnight hydrating mask with avocado & Swiss glacier water. I absolutely love this overnight mask. I’ve been using it for years and it’s something I trust to get rid of the dryness and tightness in my skin. It feels really soft on the skin and it’s not thick. Its great for my sensitive skin too. It has a very slight avocado smell but it’s not too much. For the first week I used this every night. After that I now use this every other day. Besides that I tend to use this once or twice a week. Full 2.5 oz is $27 Mini 1 oz is $13 ORIGINS - Drink Up-Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst I never forget about the lips and I use my trusty glossier mint balm dot com. I love this so much that I’m almost done with it. Personally the mint, rose, coconut and Un scented one are the ones with the most hydration. It’s pricey but I’ve had this for about a year. It’s 0.5 oz for $12. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom
Sunscreen update 📈
👋🏾 hi beauties! 💁🏾♀️ I purchased Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Suncreen, SPF 45 last week and it's my favorite sunscreen so far! it has only been 4 days but I see a clear difference. 🔆 finding a sunscreen suitable for my skin tone feels like a treasure hunt! but I may have found my treasure. ➕ pros: light-weight non greasy unscented my sweat doesn't wash off the product I can wear some concealer underneath with no problem Aveeno - Sensitive Skin Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 can't compete (⬅️ a previous post: "Looking for sunscreen ☀️"). ➖ cons: after Aveeno - Sensitive Skin Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 and CeraVe - Hydrating Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50 , I don't have any issue so far with Neutrogena and I hope it says this way! 🙂 I try to follow the 2 fingers rule in order to apply the ideal amount of sunscreen but I feel like it is a lot... how about you? do you think it's too much? or just the right amount? lmk 😘 thanks for reading #CheriePartner
My Go-To Products for a SKIN RESET ↪️
We’ve all been there before. The dreaded aftermath of switching between products, overexfoliating or not maintaining a consistent routine. These types of mistakes, if not addressed properly and quickly, can wreak havoc on your moisture barrier and lead to soooo many more problems that we don’t really need, Queen 😌 Here’s my 3 go-to for when my skin needs a fresh and clean routine. Sticking to basics always works in your favor and this trio is my holy grail for achieving my moisture back ✨ CeraVe - Hydrating Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50 starting off, this SPF is added to my routine only to stay consistent with all cerave products. Unfortunately, because it’s a mineral spf, it does leave a horrible white cast that is so irritating to blend in. If I could, i wouldn’t use this; but, it contains ceramides & other ingredients that are beneficial for your skin when it needs to take a break. So, the white cast has to be tolerated 😔 CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin this cleanser is similar in texture and consistency of the Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser , super clean and doesn’t lather. I love this cleanser because it doesn’t do *too much* and contains ceramides and hyaluronic acid for added moisture boost. (PS: i only wash my face once and it’s in the PM.) CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin i love this lightweight moisturizer because of how soft my skin feels afterwards. similar to the cleanser, it also contains ceramides & hyaluronic acid to help nurture your moisture barrier. I use this in both AM and PM. *not pictured* CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream this thick cream is my go to PM moisturizer after i apply my daily moisturizing lotion mentioned above. It adds an extra boost to my moisture and helps prevent my skin from drying out too quickly. Aquaphor - Aquaphor Healing Ointment this is my occlusive! Occlusives work to prevent water from being drawn out from your skin. After applying my lotion and cream from cerave (in the PM only), I’ll apply a thin layer of this onto my face to help seal my hydration til I wake up 🥰 Let me know if you’ve tried any of the products above and if you’ve ever needed to do a skin reset. Hopefully, these products worked out in your favor. 😜✨
Face scrub for all skin types 🥇🙌
💥amazing product! When I used it made my skin for so soft and refreshing. it is great for sensitive skin 💥It works better to exfoliate and leave my face smooth than any other product I have . I was using neutrogena scrub before but that made my skin so dry and patchy. But after using micro scrub my skin is very soft and supple. 💥I've tried lots of these products, but this one is THE best, hands down. So many of them are just too rough, this one is such a fine product and my skin feels like silk. 💥It is the holy grail of face scrubs! I love it so much! It makes my skin so soft and fell amazing! I have never had a better feeling face. I use it like once a week. And I recommend this product to every single person so try at least once. 💥My skin care routine is very important to me and a good exfoliator is everything, and this is that exfoliator! The size of the granules is perfect for every day use and the price is pretty decent, and for convenience I noticed that I can now go to my local CVS and pick up a bottle! 🌺Ingredients claims (Bliss) 🌺 🌸 Volcanic Pumice: Mild exfoliant purifies and cleanses, removing dead outer layers of skin cells; does not dissolve in water, allowing time to massage and improve circulation as it exfoliates 🌸Kaolin Clay: Easily absorbs oil and toxins to tone, stimulate and cleanse pores 🌸Pro Vitamin B5: Helps seal in hydration by boosting the skin barrier and helps rejuvenate and revitalize surface skin cells 🌸Jojoba Seed and Soybean Oils: Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, these oils moisturize and protect 🌸Aloe Leaf Juice: Cools, soothes and softens skin Peppermint Oil: Refreshes skin 🌸Chamomile & Lavender Extract: Gentle flower extracts known to calm and soothe skin 🏝Scent: yes 👉🏻Rosemary & Mint 🍎Skin Type(s): All Skin Types Blissfully Free From: 🌈 PARABENS 🌈PHTHALATES 🌈SLS FREE (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate ) 🌈SLES FREE(Sodium Laureth Sulfate) 🌈CRUELTY FREE Directions to use: 💧Gently massage onto clean and damp skin for 1-2 minutes. Rinse well. Use 2-3 times per week 💵 $ 15.00 (Available at CVS , Ulta, Target , Amazon ) bliss - Micro Magic
as for this product i think it’s works pretty well , it leaves a soft touch to your skin & smooth . i’ve always had problems with build up on my skin and using this 2-3 times a week is slowly improving my skin . i have only used this scrub so far from bliss but so far im impressed w/ results
Pleasantly surprised by this money sucker!
Let me just start by saying that I have been looking at this beauty basically since it came out but never actually bought it because of how obnoxiously expensive it is. The only reason I did this month is because ulta was having a big Black Friday sale and I racked up $10 in points, scoring this product for half off! It has a very interesting smell but now that I’ve been using it for a month, I’ve gotten used to it. It’s very thick and creamy so you barely need any to cover your whole face. They suggest you keep it on your face for 5-20 minutes. I like to keep clay masks on longer usually but this one dries in about 5 minutes which is probably why their suggested time is so short. When you take it off, you can immediately see that your skin looks smoother and pores look smaller! This usually means that the product is drying your face so I top it with either my favorite THE BODY SHOP - Jumbo Tea Tree Oil (sorry Hyram I tried to stop for a little and my skin didn’t like it) and CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator which is on the more expensive side but hydrates the CRAP out of my skin and is so worth it. I don’t normally like clay masks because I do have combination skin and it tends to make me breakout more but this one is like a different breed!! Verdict: YES!!!!! 💖💖💖💖 one of the best clay masks I’ve used. Buy it!!!
Acne skin 101
Well, I've already wrote a post about my Acne experience. My skincare routine and products...Acne seems like a never-ending battle, doesn't it? Though products for "acne-prone skin" are currently availaMust Must Muble in the market, skincare products cannot be one-size-fits-all magic potions. It is important to know and understand 1. what type of skin(Dry/ Combination/ Normal/ Oily/ Sensitive) 2. what type of your acne(Hormonal Acne/ Whiteheads/ Papules/ Pustules/ Cystic Acne/ Blackheads/ Blind Pimples) you’re working with; it’s the most important step in discovering an effective way to take care of your skin. Today, I still wanna talk about skincare routine with you guys, cuz no matter what type of acne skin you have, the principles of acne skincare should be the same. I'll add the products I love to use below too. 🖤Skin Care Routine For Acne Prone Skin🖤 Step 1 - Cleanse away the impurities with a cleanser (Morning And Night) ● LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin ● philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser Step 2 - Toner (Morning And Night) ● FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner Step 3 - Moisturize (Morning And Night) ● FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya ● CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator Step 4 - Protect with SPF (Morning and evening) ● elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 ● CLINIQUE - Pep-Start Daily UV Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Step 5 - Treatment Product (night) ● LA ROCHE-POSAY - Cicaplast Baume B5 Soothing Repairing Balm ● Differin Gel Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatment Remember, with acne, less is more. Using too many topical products will make your skin dry and irritate it. Also, acne is not something that will go away overnight. It’s a process which requires immense patience. Give your skin ample time to adjust to the skin care routine for acne prone skin before you see results. When in doubt please make an appointment with your dermatologist who can help you determine what your skin needs. 🖤Other Tips🖤 ● Keep your hands off your face ● Stay out of the sun as much as possible ● Exercise daily ● Learn to be less stressed ● Hydrate yourself ● Follow a healthy diet ● Don't pick or pop your pimples ● Change your sheets at least weekly Great skin doesn’t revolve around genetics alone, your daily habits play a significant role in what you see in the mirror. Follow a healthy diet, drink plenty of water, get enough sleep and use the right products as per your skin type.... There’s no instant fix; you need patience and time to reap the benefits. Sharing is caring. 💕
Double Cleansing Favorites!
Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my double cleansing process and a little about why I love them (and where they can improve)! First, I just want to start off and say I don’t double cleanse in the morning! Only for my nighttime routine. Even if I don’t wear any make up, because I like to make sure that all my sunscreen comes off! I start off with the DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil with a “dirty” dry face and rub my face with it from anywhere one minute to ten minutes. I watch a YouTube video and unwind by giving myself a facial massage. Obviously I don’t do this everyday. Some days I’m too lazy and just leave it at the 60 second mark. But I highly recommend giving yourself a calming massage to promote blood circulation around your face and prepare it for the serums that you’d like to add later on. PRO’s 🔹Olive Fruit Oil leaves the skin super moisturized and nourished! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR DRY SKIN! 🔹Vitamin E! 🔹Relatively short ingredient list that helps reduce the risk of mixing ingredients and having a bad reaction. 🔹Makes your skin feel silky smooth CON’s 🔸Rosemary oil is unnecessary and can be bad for sensitive skin. 🔸Olive oil can be harsh for oily skin I use water to make sure the oil is off my face. It turns white when it reacts to water because it uses Sorbeth-30 Tetraoleate which is a self-emulsifying surfactant that makes it easier to wash off with water. Then, I go in with my THE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser I use this one for no more than 60 seconds to make sure all the oil is off my face and my skin is clean (without that squeaky clean feeling)! PRO’s 🔹Polysorbate 20 helps water and oil mix and including this product alongside DHC makes sure that all the oil is off your face. 🔹It has White Willow Bark Extract, which is a natural form of salicylic acid. Meaning that it’s an ultra gentle exfoliation that’s great for acne/blemishes. 🔹Some tea tree oil that acts an an anti-inflammatory. Great for the mornings for a little boost to depuff the face. 🔹Glycerin is a GOAT in skincare and helps to moisturize the skin while cleansing. 🔹Tamanu oil that has regenerative properties on the skin 🔹It has a PH adjuster ingredient that means you can skip a toner and save money! 🔹Vitamin E! 🔹The tea tree oil it uses is community traded. Which means that it helps the direct economy of local farmers and is against slave trade which is very prominent in the skin care and make up industry. CON’s 🔸It has THREE perfuming ingredients that can be sensitizing for some skins. But, since it’s a wash off treatment it’s not too bad. 🔸Menthol can be very soothing, but not good for sensitive skin. Another amazing cleanser I like to pair with the DHC oil is the HOLI FROG - Tashmoo Water Lily Nourishing Milky Wash DRY SKIN: use the foam cleanser first, then oil OILY SKIN: use the oil first, then the foaming cleanser
Fourth Ray - Waterfall Gentle Toner what is it: alcohol free toner infused with cucumber water, hyaluronic acid, and willow bark. concerns: dry skin, combination skin, fine lines & wrinkles my thoughts: I love how hydrating this is!! While I have a oily t zone, I have noticed dryness under my eyes and cheeks during colder months especially. This has really helped with those dry areas and has not broken me out in my t zone at all. It smells amazing- super refreshing and feels so nice on. It doesn’t leave me oily or leave a residue at all. Usually when i purchase a toner, i buy something that is more prone to acne and oily skin, so this was a risk, but i love it! I never knew i needed a hydrating toner, but i would definitely re purchase. For the price, I would definitely give this toner a try!
The 𝗪𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 is my favorite from the line. Made with Hyaluronic Acid, Cucumber Water and Willow Bark, it leaves the skin feeling clean, renewed and refreshed. I’ve used the 𝐒𝐨𝐚𝐤 𝐈𝐭 𝐔𝐩 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐤 twice so far. The first time, I used it over night as a rich moisturizer and the second time, I used it as a mask. I immediately saw my skin get plumped and my redness was visibly reduced. It contains hyaluronic acid, marine algae, aloe, and vitamin e. I’ve used the 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐦 a couple of times but my first impression was that it was tacky and sticky. I later realized that you have a warm it up in your hands and then apply to the skin. It does become less sticky and it absorbs quickly as it claims to, but I still find it stickier than any other serum I’ve used. BUT THERE IS HOPE! A review on their website that said that to avoid stickiness You have to apply hyaluronic serum on damp skin. I’ll give it another try but I think that #FourthRayBeauty should tell you in the instructions this tip to make the application go smoother.
Is this a good anti-redness serum?
FIRST AID BEAUTY - Anti-Redness Serum What am I? This product is marketed as an anti redness serum that alleviates and soothes stressed skin, calm inflammation, and guard against environmental stressors. This product claims to tackle skincare concerns such as hyperpigmentation, rosacea, free radical damage, and redness. It contains caffeine and ginger extract to cool inflammation and aloe vera to calm irritation. This is a thicker creamier type of serum that would best be used as the last serum of your routine. However after you apply it to the skin it skins in quickly and doesn’t leave any stickyness or residue. What do I think about it? I can’t completely remember where I got this from but I’m pretty sure I got it in a gift set for Christmas last year. I really love the brand and I had high hopes for this product, but honestly I don’t feel like this product was doing much for me. I tried this for 10 days but I didn’t notice it doing anything positive for my skin. I have skin that is very prone to redness and I didn’t feel like this helped with that at all. If anything I noticed that by mid day my skin looked more oily than usual when I was using this in the morning. Lastly I want to mention the price. At $36 for the full size 1.7oz, you’re best off passing on this and picking something else from First Aid Beauty like their toner or ultra repair cream. Would I recommend it? Unfortunately it’s a no for me, dawg.

My Murad Empties!!!-Part 2
Murad - Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture This product has a creamy white cream texture. Unlike La Mer, which takes a long time to emulsify, you only need to slightly rub it in your palm. It can be absorbed quickly and it keeps your face hydrated. I can feel the increase in hydration and softness. Murad - Invisiblur Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 30 PA+++ This product is transparent. The texture is very soft and smooth. My skin looks matte after using it. I love to press it around my nose and cheek. It makes my pores invisible. You can use it on the partswhere your pores are visible. But when my skin condition is not very good, my skin becomes flaky. Murad - Rapid Relief Acne Spot Treatment Transparent gel-like texture. It is used for obvious red acne. It can effectively make it better and reduce redness the next day.

fourthraybeauty has been on my radar for a while and I am so glad I finally picked some of their goodies up. These face milks are so hydrating and illuminating. First we have the Turmeric Face milk which highlights turmeric, almond milk camu camu and licorice ✨ these are gonna help hydrate and illuminate your skin! also, Turmeric is known for its anti-inflammatory benefits and help promote healing and brightening of the skin! Second we have the watermelon face milk which highlights watermelon seed oil, bamboo milk, aloe and cucumber water. This is going to balance and moisturize your skin and also give a glow 😎✨ Out of these two I honestly LOVEEE both but really enjoy the watermelon one because it smells like watermelon 🙈 I find that these are great to give a glow under make up but also if you want a glow without make up! They feel lightweight which is also a plus- and the best part is they are $10 usd like seriously?! I was hesitant because of the price but I feel like they are worth it 💖

A clean beauty brand I swear by!
Where do I even start? Since we are talking about clean beauty this week I thought I would share my most favourite clean beauty brand! Drunk elephant! I don’t rave about just one specific brand too often because I like to share the love among all beauty brands but this brand in particular has really changed my skin and my overall confidence. Since my teenage years I struggled with acne. It was never a ton of breakouts at once but small ones that would appear throughout the month. The acne itself didn’t bother me as much but more so the dark spot it would leave behind once it healed. Since I have a tan complexion my skin tone scars very easily and it has been so hard to find a product that would decrease the hyperpigmentation on my skin. Products sometimes would work but it would take a while and another one would soon appear. Once I discovered drunk elephant there was no turning back. With their c-firma day serum, a-passioni retinol cream, and TLC framboos have absolutely changed the texture and hyperpigmentation on my skin. It’s so crazy. I don’t hesitate to leave the house without makeup and I actually tend to wear less make up on a daily basis. I never thought one brand could change the way I thought about my skin so much! Remember what works for me might not work for you. Make sure to test out anything new on your skin first and discontinue use of irritation occurs. Everyone skin is different! Swipe left to see my no makeup face!
How to use Glycolic Acid products
My skin is a bit mixed but easily get sensitive when seasons change. Acne is another nightmare for me. 😩 so choosing the right product to get rid of acne and dark marks is my big thing fro skincare. Glycolic acid is relatively mild and very common in skincare. It can remove your dead skin and clean up your pores to make your skin look smoother and reduce acne and deal with pimple marks My skin is quite sensitive sometimes, so I don’t dare to try high acidic concentration product. 5% of glycolic acid in Pixi’s is quite mile but effective. If u r in entry level of using acidic product, start from 5%. Won’t be wrong. Strongly recommendpixi - Glow Tonic, absolutely big fan of it!!!! I use it three times a week just by wiping whole face with cotton pads. Mine is nearly bottom up and it’s alr in my shopping list.
My The INKEY List Collection
My thoughts on the products I’ve tried from The INKEY List - Brighten-I Eye Cream - rating: 3/5 - let’s start with the pros: I like the applicator on this a lot! It feels really cooling under my eyes! I’ve kept in my skincare fridge for the extra refreshing effect! It is pretty runny, unless shaken well. I’ve read that there is micro-simmer in this and I didn’t notice right away. So, I busted it out and made sure I had good lighting and sure enough, I could see the simmer. I still like this slightly, because of the applicator. Will I repurchase this? No! Collagen Booster Serum - rating: 3/5 - This has your basic serum consistency and is decently priced, like all of The INKEY List products. It absorbs nicely into the skin and layers we’ll. I’m not a fan of the bottle, I wish it had a classic dropper. Will I buy this again? No. Kaolin Clay Mask - rating: 5/5 - I really like this clay mask. I have combo skin and worry about dryness in areas, but it doesn’t feel drying at all. The texture is so creamy when you wash it off, it’s heavenly! I notice my pores looks cleaner and any blemishes I have look smaller after using this! Will I buy this again? Yes, can’t beat the price!
