Recently added this eyes cream on my skincare routine & I love it! FIRST AID BEAUTY - Eye Duty Niacinamide Brightening Eye Cream When I first applied this under my eyes I thought it was way too shiny & glittery but after it settles down it looks so good! I still haven’t tried this under makeup to see how it works but for no makeup days it’s amazing. This claims to reduce dark circles & that’s what I’m more excited about.✨ Is eye cream part of your routine?

Overhyped lip mask?
The LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask is a very famous product on social media & people can’t stop talking about this but... is this really worth it? This claims to moisturize & smooth the lips overnight & it’s recommend to battle dryness & fine lines. Now, I had chapsted lips for yearsssss & nothing was hydrating enough to heal them till I tried this! I stared with a sample size of their vanilla flavor (my fav) & used overnight. After a week my lips were so much better! So smooth & soft! I was surprised of how fast this mask worked on my lips. The full jar for $20 is a great value in terms of quantity of the product inside for me. The sample has lasted me a long time & as you can see the sizes are very different. The one thing I don’t like about this is how thick this is. Believe me, you only need a tiny amount for your lips & it’s more comfortable to use this overnight as well, because of how thick this actually is. I do recommend this product is you’re having chapsted lips issues, it works! #CherieCreator

More luxury makeup...$64 dollars!?
HOURGLASS - Ambient Lighting Palette is this worth it? YES! The formula on this is so luxurious! The powders are so finely mild & the packaging is so slick & pretty. These give you best natural glow & you can use this as highlighter or as a finishing powder. I just can’t even with this formula!✨ I know $64 dollars is a lot for these powders but trust me, these will last you a long time! The hype is real for this palette! The also sell the powders individually in case you’re interested in just one.

$40 dollars foundation? Is it worth it?
DIOR - BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundation is a high end mist have! If you’re looking for a lightweight & not full coverage foundation with an amazing shade range this is a great option! This feels like nothing on your skin & has a beautiful natural finish. Something I would keep in mind is the fragrance, but I find it very pleasant for my taste & it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, also, he packaging is great for traveling. I personally think this is definitely worth $40 dollars & will purchase again!

Best vitamin C serum!
This new launch from OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum is definitely a winner! It’s pretty potent serum with a 15% vitamin C in it & PHAs & hyaluronic acid. I did purge using this but after that my skin looked amazing! Saw an improvement on my texture & brightness. If you have sensitive skin this is going to be great for chemical exfoliation. Quite pricey but worth it!

Here’s how to take care of oily acne-prone skin☺
Most of us acne patients suffer from oily skin. Excess sebum produced by our skin may clog pores which eventually leads to acne. In this post, I’d like to share my top tricks in controlling my oily acne-prone skin and hopefully be able to help even at least one of you 🙈☺️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐎𝐬: 1. 𝐃𝐎 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐲. This has always worked for me. Sometime before, I tried not washing my face in the AM and it just made me so much oilier during the day resulting in more breakouts. Importantly, remember to wash your face every after workout too. Sweat combined with sebum is a perfect recipe for acne and skin irritation. 𝟐. 𝐃𝐎 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡. Although salicylic acid cleanser helped tremendously in my teenage years, it isn’t necessarily beneficial for me now that my skin is more dehydrated and my skin barrier compromised. Salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide cleansers may still help on days when you’re feeling extra oily but resist using it daily. Use a gentle foaming face wash from Vanicream, Hada Labo, Cerave. 𝟑. 𝐃𝐎 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲. You can have oily skin and dehydrated skin at the same time. Because your face is not hydrated enough, your glands may overcompensate for the lack of moisture by producing more oils. Do not ever skip this step! Your best option is to use an oil-free, non-comedogenic moisturizer like Paula’s Choice Clear Oil-Free Moisturizer, Neutrogena oil-free and hydroboost gel cream, and if you have rosacea too, use procure rosacare gel. 𝟒. 𝐃𝐎 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐮𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. SPF 30+ or up should always be worn especially for oily skin. Unprotected sun exposure can lead to more acne flare-ups. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide mineral sunscreens are your top options. Zinc doesn’t only protect skin but also helps calm irritated skin. My favorites are Elta MD physical and Purito Water, Clinique Broad Spectrum, .. If you like chemical sunscreen better, I highly recommend Eucerin and Sun BUm. 𝟓. 𝐃𝐎 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬. Keratolytic ingredients such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid that are available over-the-counter can be your best friends when used properly. It is important to note that when using an active, stick to a minimal skincare routine to reap the best results and use of one acne treatment at a time is a must, especially if you’re just starting out. If you have moderate to severe acne, I would go for Differin Adapalene gel or a retinoid such as Retin-A and Atralin. Retinoids may not only get rid of your acne but also heal and renew your skin in the deeper layers. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓𝐬: 𝟏. 𝐃𝐎𝐍'𝐓 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫-𝐞𝐱𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞. Over-exfoliating is probably something we’re all once obsessed with. Unfortunately, this habit can only lead us to a damaged skin barrier thus, compromising our skin’s own ability to heal itself. It’s best to limit the use of exfoliating ingredients twice a week when starting or one exfoliating acid/active at a time once a day after your skin has adjusted. 𝟐. 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞. I say it all the time, fragrance in skincare is BAD and does nothing good for you. The use of fragrance in cosmeceutical products is unregulated and companies are not required to disclose all components used in their products. The formulation may have a lot of unknown toxic chemicals that can be harmful to you. Without knowing and often initially not externally evident, fragrance can irritate your skin deep down, cause toxic hormonal effects, and may even cause cancer. Fragrance is a NO-NO for everyone and most especially for acne-prone people or those with other skin diseases. I have suffered the consequences of my bad choices myself. Do yourself a favor and ditch your fragrance-containing products too. 𝟑. 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓 𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐥-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬. Certain types of alcohol such as ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, and alcohol denat. are extremely drying and irritating especially to acne-prone skin. 𝟒. 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐮𝐩. Always make sure you wash away all makeup and accumulated dirt on the face before you sleep. 𝟓. 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬. Change your pillowcases frequently. I always make sure I sleep on new ones every week. 𝟔. 𝐃𝐎𝐍’𝐓 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞. Picking at your acne can only add dirt and germs to your skin and may cause more issues. Frequently wash your hands if you’re an absent-minded face rubber or cover the pimples with acne patches. A healthy skin barrier can solve your problems🌱
A healthy skin barrier can solve your skin problems! 🌱 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫? It is the outermost layer of the epidermis - stratum corneum - which functions as both a chemical and physical shield against pollutants, bacteria, irritants, etc.. A healthy skin barrier can slow down aging and even help acne heal quicker while lessening its severity. When the barrier is intact, your skin appears plump, and smooth, but when it’s compromised, skin becomes dehydrated, dull, and more prone to sun damage and irritation. Sensitivity to products, tendency to break out, acne and chronic dry skin are all signs of a weakened skin barrier. Your barrier’s health has a direct impact on how your skin looks, feels, and how it ages! 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠: 1. Over-cleansing 2. Over-exfoliating 3. Washing your face using hot water 4. Using alcohol-based toner and fragrance-containing products 5. Unprotected exposure to sun’s UV rays 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐝𝐨: ~ Hydrate continuously! A damaged epidermis requires moisture, so keeping your face and body well hydrated is critical in the fight to restore your barrier. Moisture-binding humectants such as glycerin, sorbitol, and hyaluronic acid are my favorites. ~ 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬! An occlusive ingredient provides a protective seal over the surface of the skin and is critical to prevent loss of hydration. When choosing a face moisturizer, I always look for Dimethicone. If you have dry skin, choose a moisturizer with shea butter. For extra dry skin in the body, petrolatum will be your best friend. If you want something lighter than petrolatum, go for silicone based lotions. 𝐌𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: dimethicone, glycerin, ceramides, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, oat and aloe extract. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: p.s all fragrance-free 𝐎𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧: 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐬 - ceramides, niacinamide, dimethicone, HA. affordable and effective. 𝐍𝐞𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 - dimethicone based. Basic, lightweight, but does a great job. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐥 - my top recommendation for oily and sensitive skin. Wonderful for people with rosacea. Calms, hydrates, and protects skin with dimethicone, aloe extract and licorice root. 𝐃𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧: 𝐄𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 - has panthenol and shea butter. Pretty no-nonsense. Although it has shea butter, I find this actually lightweight enough for oily skin. 𝐋𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐮𝐦𝐞 - multi-purpose soothing balm for dry skin irritations. Has glycerin, shea butter, panthenol. 𝐃𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐤 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐢 - Glycerin based and combines signal peptides and amino acids. Has a long ingredients list, but overall still worked well with me. 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐱 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐌𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 - contains Riceramide®-3 blend of plant-based ceramides, natural essential fatty acids and cholesterol, combined with soothing emollients and hyaluronic acid to help relieve chronically dry skin. ❣️𝐏𝐲𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐮𝐥 is a fragrance-free brand and uses a variety of root extracts and gentle ingredients to promote barrier restoration. I highly recommend the brand too! 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐫𝐚 𝐝𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧: Vaseline, Aquaphor or 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (lanolin-free) 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐀𝐯𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐨 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐋𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧- formulated with soothing oatmeal and rich emollients. 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓: Don’t forget your 𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐬! Find one you’ll love wearing every day❣️

products for: oily skin type
This is the new FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya !! It’s been really good so far for my oily skin spurts and it’s gonna be even better for the summer. I have combo skin right now, as well as acne prone. My undereyes, nose, and chin get super dry, while my cheeks and forehead are normal (not dry or oily.) I get breakouts around my mouth (hormonal and dairy hahah) and on my T zone mostly. Claims: — lightweight lasting hydration — clear pores — reduce shine Key ingredients: — moringa seed extract — moringa water — papaya extract — four types of hyaluronic acid for hydration — polyglutamic acid — This is oil-free and silicone-free — vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free My thoughts: — this is thicker than most gel moisturizers I’ve tried, but not as thick as a cream. Kind of a good middle ground. It leaves my skin kind of matte, not shiny at all, which is especially great for hot and humid weather. — smells kind of like their green clean, earthy, natural, pretty good actually! I don’t know if it has artificial fragrance, but they tend to use fragrance in their products, so I wouldn’t be surprised. — doesn’t clog my pores or take too long to sink in, my skin drinks it up fast and I can move on with my routine! It makes my skin pretty smooth and refines my pores so theyre not as highly noticeable. — not irritating, no redness or anything! The papaya extract is kind of exfoliating, but it’s so gentle that i don’t even notice. I didn’t think I would like any kind of exfoliant in my moisturizer, but this one has surprised me. — $38, but I would def repurchase, as this was gifted to me by the brand.

A lot of sunscreens leave you shiny, and sometimes I want to skip the powder and use my sunscreen as a primer. This Supergoop Sunscreen fills my SPF needs- plus it’s a mineral, not chemical SPF. I use this tinted sunscreen primer a lot instead of makeup, but as you can see from my photo, the tint is not universal. This rubs in to be pretty seamless on my skin, but I think for darker tones or people who are extremely fair, this won’t work. It also has silicones in it- that’s why it smooths out skin so well- but silicones can cause some people to break out. At $38 for 1.7 oz, this isn’t cheap, but it’s not wildly expensive either. I give this a 4/5- it loses a star for the tint being too dark or light for many complexions. I would rebuy this but I prefer Supergoop’s Unseen Sunscreen, Which is clear (but does have chemicals).

The Best Makeup Remover
FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm I was never a big fan of cleansing balms until I tried this- I found them waxy and felt that they left a residue that I could never get rid of, so I hadn't really double cleansed before I met Green Clean. Farmacy's Green Clean is what I would say is their signature product. I mean check out that texture - it's actually GREEN! As a brand, Farmacy focuses on clean beauty, so the whole green theme fits. This also smells lovely and green - it reminds me of being outside in the woods! It contains sunflower oil, lime, bergamont and ginger so those lend it a pleasant scent. Packed in a recyclable jar, Green Clean is a balm meant to cleanse off all of your makeup- including eye makeup- and that it does. It even manages not to irritate my sensitive eyes! Let’s talk texture- It stays solid in the jar but once you put it on your skin, it lathers up nicely and leaves my skin feeling clean, but not dry. All without the waxy residue that turned me off from cleansing balms in the first place! I still like to use another cleanser after the green clean, but you don't need to, since it really washes clean. As I am in my late 30s with dry skin, I need to avoid cleansers that strip the skin, so this is perfect if you’re on the dry side. I’m not sure it would be as good for oily skin, but as it rinses clean I don’t think it would clog pores or cause breakouts. I give Green Clean 5/5 stars because this really IS an excellent cleanser. It runs $34 for a 3.4 oz size, which to be honest, is a little expensive. A 3.4 ounce jar lasts me around 3 months, so its still a good value, and on occasion Farmacy sells value sizes which makes it cheaper per ounce. Definitely the best balm available right now!

Coal Over Fenty Beauty Lip Stain 🎅🏼
I’d rather get coal than the Fenty Beauty Lip Stain! 👄 The product: Fenty by Rihanna Lip Stain is a lightweight, long-wearing, liquid lipstick with a soft matte finish. It is known to turn shades that look incredible on all skin types! Fenty products are also cruelty-free. 🌱 My impressions: I’d rather get coal than the Fenty beauty lip stain. This product had so many great reviews and the hype was unreal so I had to try. Turns out, it is and always will be one of my least favourite lip products! The colour is very suitable and there are many shade options, but the lip stain itself is very sticky, runny, and takes over 15 minutes to dry! This is not fun when you are in a rush out and have to worry about it getting on your teeth. After applied, the formula then turns chalky and essentially ‘flakes’ off, but when I do manage for the lip stain to stay on, it really stains my lips for days afterwards. Although it is a lip stain and that is what it is designed to do, you would assume that makeup remover would take off the product, but I had to scrub, scrub, scrub, which turned my lip area, dry and raw! It definitely stripped my lips natural oils. A positive about this liquid lip would be the packaging, and the application brush itself. It is super handy, cute, and oh so adorable. ✨ How it worked on hydrated lips: The Fenty lip stain is designed for all lip types, and as mine are for the most part hydrated, I did not think any flaking would occur. Not only did the product not meet my own standards, but as well as my lips. The overall process ended with dry and chapped lips, which was not a good thing. 💋 Length of Use: 3 uses! 💀 Cost of Product: $24 USD / 4ML Repurchase: Not thinking about it. Recommendation: From personal experience, I do not recommend this lip stain. It stripped my lips natural oils, caused reactions, was flaky, and sticky. These were just too many little complications for a lip stain! Overall Rating: 2 Stars. Bad performance 🌟 FENTY BEAUTY - Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color
