Natural Looking Concealer Application Tips & Tricks
The best concealer application makes you look awake, brightened up, and doesn’t age you by settling into your creases! Since I truly believe the magic is in the application, the concealer you have is probably just fine. That said, I really love the Kosas Revealer Concealer because is nourishing to the under eyes and the formula dries down nicely while still looking like skin! Kosas products are formulated without fragrance, talc, parabens, and dimethicone/cyclic silicon’s just to name a few. They are also cruelty-free. My skin tone is fair, and my skin type is normal to dry. I like to use my concealer for the occasional blemish and to brighten up my under eyes but the tips below are still applicable for wherever you might apply your concealer. For flawless concealer application: 1. Don’t apply too much product. I try not to apply the product directly to my face but instead to the back of my hand. 2. You could use your finger to tap a teeny bit of the product on the desired areas but using a Real Techniques beauty sponge to thin the product out on the back of my hand first (by blotting), then apply to the face delivers best results and is much faster. 3. Avoid applying directly under your eyes, smile lines, forehead wrinkles, etc. If you MUST have concealer on one of these “creasy” spots, go light. 4. Set it! Use a good setting powder to set immediately. For those areas like under my eyes where I want to conceal (even knowing I have wrinkles there) I use a setting powder to avoid creasing. I love the Aisling Organic Rice Setting Powder. Since its translucent it will work on most skin tones. It goes on light and I love the blurring properties it has.

Ilia & Kosas on Sensitive Eyes- hit or miss?
I have very sensitive eyes, and just about every makeup brand (including natural/organic) I’ve tried irritates them; they get watery, sting, and within 20 minutes I have to run to the sink to get it off. I got to the point where I just didn’t want to bother trying anymore. Lately however, I’ve started looking again for that HG product that my eyes wouldn’t hate; I’m tired of looking at eyes that look permanently tired (hereditary dark circles). I did a bunch of snooping online, and after staring at Ilia products and Kosas for awhile, and reading reviews, I decided to spend the $$, so here’s my thoughts! I swatchedILIA - True Skin Serum Concealer and Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer, and ended up giving Ilia’s a try. I picked up their lightest shade, in Arrowroot. My skin leans combination and I wanted something that felt barely there. Kosas concealer is just what it advertises, it’s very creamy and has a very heavy consistency. Their lightest shade also was too dark on me, so I went with Ilia. The concealer itself really does blend seamlessly into my skin, it has sort of this barely-there scent that I can detect if I sniff the bottle, but it isn’t something I’d ding it for. It kind of just smells like a yummy skincare product tbh. It has a super light consistency, if makeup could be serum-ish, I guess this would be it? It’s very light, and it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing anything which is exactly what I hoped for. The verdict? Hit! No stinging, no itchiness, no irritation. I was super pleased, and it held up all through the day without primer. No creasing really either, which I was impressed with. All in all I will 100% continue to use this, and I’d really like to try some of their other products! The price is a bit hefty, at $30.00 if you’re looking for more affordable products. But in this case I feel like I’m getting what I paid for, especially for a product that not only doesn’t piss off my eyes, but works beautifully. As for Kosas - The Big Clean Volumizing + Lash Care Mascara , I’m kind of sad. Here’s why: It didn’t clump, and it did just what it says. My lashes were voluminous, but also looked very natural. And, most importantly, my eyes didn’t hate it. It felt fine, and all day I forgot I was wearing it. The one gripe I have with it though, is that within the first hour it began rubbing off underneath my eyes, which really sucks because I love everything else about this mascara. It proceeded to do so on and off throughout the day, and honestly it’s like most of it faded off. Due to that, l probably won’t continue to use it. I wanted this to be my HG, but it was kind of a miss due to the way the formula rubbed off and faded. I’m glad I got the mini to trial it instead of the regular size, which retails for $28.

Glossier Stretch Concealer
I have not used a concealer in a while because I try to avoid the “too much” makeup look. I usually gravitate towards a lighter makeup look, but when I saw this bundled with Glossier’s Skin Tint I decided to give concealer another chance. I was very pleasantly surprised by this concealer! My favorite thing about it is that I can wear it alone to cover my dark circles or blemishes without having to put on a full face of makeup with it. It blends very easily into skin and does not leave a distinct line. It also lasts very well and never gets cakey or creasey. The packaging is very nice and looks good on my vanity. I would definitely recommend this concealer!!Glossier. - Stretch Concealer
Orange corrector that actually works
There are so many different orange correctors I’ve tried, literally so many. The most expensive one was $50 and it did nothing like nothing. Im not sure why I had this mindset that expensive products are better. Then I finally decided to buy this $5 orange corrector and omg it changed my whole makeup routine. It covers my dark circles so nicely, its good to blend. You just have to be very careful on how much you apply. If you apply too much the orange would show even after you apply your concealer and foundation. Overall if you’re looking for a cheap orange corrector, this is what you need

Favorite Concealer - KAJA BEAUTY
KAJA Don’t Settle Concealer in 03 Mooncake WHAT IT IS? Light-to-medium coverage creaseless concealer PRODUCT TARGET CONCERNS: For those looking for natural, medium coverage. TEXTURE/CONSISTENCY: Liquid formula OVERALL THOUGHTS: This is my favorite concealer right now. Creamy concealers tend to crease on me as I have dry skin so I love concealers with liquid formula. It doesn’t crease, it can be built up to medium coverage without looking cakey and looks very natural. I sooooo love this concealer!! WHY I LIKE/DISLIKE IT: I like the liquid formula and the natural finish it provides. WOULD I RECOMMEND IT ? Yes, if you like natural looking concealers. IS IT WORTH IT? 0.21 oz / 6g/ $19 One of the cheaper concealers that you can find in Sephora. To me it’s definitely worth it. Would buy it again and again even for a full price.

Hello 👋🏾 Thought I’d share here my first texture Tuesday. It was fun to do it ! About the products : I just recently changed my NARS for the tarte and I don’t regret it at all. I would add that I prefer the glossier serum since they changed their formula , felt my skin was left dry when I used the first version of it and didn’t like it, but now it’s way better !
