✨ Acne Friendly Foundation ✨
I have a light skin tone that is typically normal oily, but due to recently using a topical acne cream from my dermatologist, my cheeks have gotten super dry (where most of my acne is located). My skin concern is acne and masking the redness of it. I expect my foundation to cover up a majority of my redness, yet not be too drying or make me look oily. This is the it Cosmetics - Bye Bye Foundation Full Coverage Moisturizer with SPF 50+ . It’s described as a tinted moisturizer, but with foundation aspects! The finish is on the natural/dewy, but there’s also a matte version out now. It does contain silicones and is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive. Although it does have different essential oils, so not sure if I’m going to repurchase after I use this up, but am enjoying it currently. This is a higher-end brand, about $40 for this but it goes half off at Ulta during some of their sales. For that much, I’d want something that doesn’t have ingredients that can sensitize my skin in the long run. This foundation does give a nice coverage and covers the majority of my acne redness, you can add a concealer for more. This is jus the foundation by itself. The benefits of this product include that it was created to cover and improve the look of skin concerns including redness, pores, breakouts, dark spots, lines and wrinkles. It’s also formulated to not sink into fine lines or wrinkles, so great if you have those! The company also says it’s formulated with 7 key fermented ingredients that work together to increase absorption and efficacy of your skincare routine. I apply this with a sponge whenever I want a more sheet coverage or a brush when I’m looking for more coverage. This pic is with using a sponge. This is the shade light, which the description says is for light skin with more yellow undertones. It definitely looks darker than I expected and does oxidize some, so it’s kind of difficult to find a shade match. This foundation improves your skin because it contains SPF (to help protect it, but you should also apply SPF before applying this and reapply throughout the day), fermented rice, fermented coconut water, fermented sea kelp, fermented green tea, fermented white ginseng, fermented pumpkin, and antioxidants!

Fave or meh?: Glow Recipe
Glow recipe is a clean beauty brand, which uses natural ingredients, cruelty free and free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates and also take care of the environment. It has simple and very beautiful packaging. I have used some of their products and I think some are worth it and others not so much. GLOW RECIPE - Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser MEH Price: $10 for 30 ml. Texture: lightweight gel. Scent: fruity floral. It’s a gentle cleanser and deep clarifying mask that cleanses the skin without drying it, helps minimize pores and combat blemishes and breakouts. Leaves skin soft, fresh and clean. It can be used as a cleanser or as a mask (with dry skin apply a generous layer and leave it for 5 minutes). It is not my favorite cleanser, but the mini is a good option to take on the road. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist FAVE Price: $28 for 75 ml. Texture: ultra fine mist. Scent: watermelon. I love the smell of this mist, it is light and refreshing. Leaves my skin feeling so hydrated but not sticky. I have tried many, even with the same ingredient, but this one made the difference since it doesn’t cause irritation or burning. Softens, refreshes and brightens the skin leaving natural dewy glow. It is definitely a product that I would buy again. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer MEH Price: $39 for 60 ml. Texture: lightweight gel. Scent: watermelon. It is a light moisturizer, formulated with watermelon extract, hyaluronic acid and peony and jasmine to boost radiance and glow. It absorbs quickly and gives long-lasting hydration, smells wonderful and doesn’t irritate my skin. I think it is an excellent choice for combination skin. It’s good but not my favorite. GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask MEH Price: $42 for 15 ml. Texture: rich cream. Scent: fruity. Use slow-release encapsulated retinol to minimize the risk of irritation, it also contains niacinamide and squalane. I didn’t notice a change in dark circles, but it did improve hydration and loss of firmness. This sample lasted approximately 3 months, I would not buy the full size for the price and few results. GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream FAVE Price: $39 for 50 ml. Texture: lightweight cream. Scent: banana. It’s a lightweight moisturizer that doesn’t clog pores that hydrates and calms the skin. I don't usually use cream, but there are occasions in the year when my skin gets a little dry, so I decided to try it. It smells like a banana candy (laffy taffy), it is very lightweight but hydrates very well. My dryness disappeared from the first application, a little goes a long way, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a sticky feeling. I would repurchase. My skin type: combination. Skin concern: dullness, dry skin, pores, fine lines.

Derm Tips for the Ordinary Peeling Solution
The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution The Ordinary Peeling Solution is one of the best products you can buy for less than $10. When used correctly, there are so many benefits to this product! Here’s my review of the product with safety tips first. Safety Tips: -If you are new to skincare, this product is not for beginners. You want to have a consistent skin care routine for at least a month before adding this in -Patch test an area on your inner arm prior to applying this to the face. I’ve seen many people end up with chemical burns from this product -For first time use, use only for 5 minutes prior to washing off with water -Do not apply this on the same night as other strong actives (retinoids, other acids) -For darker skin types, glycolic acid in this product can lead to hyperpigmentation if used for too long. Do not use longer than 5 minutes if you are prone to hyperpigmentation Benefits: -Exfoliates the skin -Improves skin texture -Improves skin tone -Helps fight acne -Improves acne scars -Makes pores less obvious -Improves fine lines and wrinkles -Fades hyperpigmentation How to apply: 1. The Ordinary-AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution
The Boscia cactus water moisturizer is an ultra light weight fast absorbing moisturizer that gives thirsty skin a sip of instant hydration for a soft, smooth, and simple complexion! It can be solutions for dryness, dullness, uneven texture, and loss of firmness and elasticity. The texture of this is a refreshing thick gel that feels so cooling on your face. I have used this for about 10 months and really like it in the summer time because after being in the sun it feels so refreshing to put this on after. I got it in a set with two other boscia items that I also love! It is very hydrating, didn’t break me out, and gave me awesome results with my dry skin! I would recommend this to all skin types and to try out definitely in the summer for the really nice cooling effect! It is worth the $38 for 1.61oz of product that will last a while! The Kiehls calendula serum infused water cream is a weightless water cream infused with concentrated calendula serum! It can be solutions for dryness, dullness, and uneven texture! It is best for normal to oily skin types. The texture of this is a lightweight gel-cream, that feels like a drink of water on your face! I absolutely love this cream but is definitely geared toward oily skin types! I received it as a promo code on Sephora about 5 months ago and it is amazing! It is very hydrating, didn’t break me out, and I didn’t see big results because my skin is on the dryer side and this is geared more for oily skin types! I would recommend this to others because it does have an amazing texture and feeling on the face it also smells so fresh. It is worth the $50 for 1.7oz for people with oily skin! The tatcha water cream is recommended for oily, normal to oily, pores, and anti-aging!! It is an oil-free , anti-aging water cream that releases a burst of skin-improving Japanese nutrients, powerful botanicals and optimal hydration for pure, poreless skin! It works because it is a unique water-burst cream breaks upon application to deeply deliver treatment benefits, hydrating without leaving skin sticky or greasy. It’s powerful ingredient, Japanese Wild Rose, visibly tightens pores and smoothes skin texture!! Also it is, Non-comedogenic, Non-irritating, Non-sensitizing, Dermatologist tested, and Cruelty-free! Additionally, formulated without, Mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, sulfate detergents, parabens, and phthalates!! I love this because it is great for the summer since it does not leave my skin oily or greasy! It is a bit pricey but if you have had issues with pores or any other of its benefits I think it is worth it! It is $68 for 1.7 ounces. It also smells very good and the texture feels very cool to the touch! I think it is worth it, the tatcha water cream is amazing and is so worth the price, they have amazing ingredients and antioxidant properties, and they are always right on there claims! The Boscia is also pretty good and is at a great price point to! That is my second favorite by far! The Kiehls is definitely not worth $50 at all! It is no where near as good as tatcha! It makes my skin feel oily and greasy and just doesn’t do anything good for my dry skin! But the Boscia is an amazing affordable option of the tatcha water cream! boscia - Cactus Water Moisturizer Kiehl's - Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream TATCHA - The Water Cream

Which one should I get?
Hey y’all! Today I will be getting my first product from The Ordinary which I am SO excited about! But I don’t know which serum to get! Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% or Lactic Acid 5% + HA? ✨my skin is oily in my t zone and dry on my cheeks. it is slightly sensitive to physical exfoliation as well. i have some breakouts, texture, and blackheads. i also use amzeeq and tretinoin ✨the niacinamide would help with oil control, my congested pores, and my acne prone skin. i would use this in the morning, but i don’t know if i can use it at night because i don’t know how it would react to my tretinoin ✨the lactic acid would help with the texture on my face, hydrate my skin, and would exfoliate the dead skin cells. i would use this 2-3x a week at night, but i still don’t know how it would react with my tretinoin:( let me know your thoughts down below!! i would LOVE to hear them!!💓💓
