I'm 40+ and fully intend on looking like this for another 40 years. Clear skin. bright teeth and big heart!
TikTok made me buy it!
I used to swear by Black Girl Sunscreen but I hated how greasy I looked afterwards. I saw the Neutrogena Sunscreen on TikTok as one for dark POC. I grabbed it and have been in love ever since. I know that BGS has a matte product coming out so I may try that. In the meantime I am loving this sunscreen. Thanks TikTok!

First Appointment! Laser Hair Removal
Today was my first laser hair removal appointment. The smell of burnt hair and the rubber band sting freaked me out but it's all worth it. I'm so excited to see NO HAIR!! I'm going to a local Ideal Image. Yay to a soon to be smooth face!
Purging or Breakouts
I recently started on retinol and woke up a week later with white pustules on the my chin and cheek area. I immediately started to research and saw a couple if videos about purging vs breakouts. Retinol is actually knownfor this. While I don't want to see them on my face I'm happy to know that my skin is behaving the right way and I am on my way to fresh new skin because of increased cell turnover.
SNS Dip Powder Manicure
I used to be an "acrylic til I die" girl. I haven't had my nails done in YEARS now and decided to go back to doing something for myself. I went from short and square or squoval to a but longer and close to coffin. I LOVE THESE NAILS! I'm so excited to find a shape that I love. I decided against acrylic because of the damage it did to my nails in the past. I usually get white polish, this is right under white and I love the color as well. Excuse the ashy hands. I wash them every five minutes it seems like now.
Consistency is paying off!
This is 42! From oily, to dry to GLOSSY! Can't tell me nothing today. Period! You see this skin? You see it?! I honestly have been complaining about my skin and today I glanced up and saw this. Is my skin perfect? No! Is it glowing and popping? Yes!!! Happy Monday! Wash your face, wear moisturizer and wear sunscreen.
New to Retinol
I'm brand new to retinol and decided to try this super gentle one. Today is day one and I am hoping to see a reduction in the hyperpigmentation on my jawline. Will follow up in a month. Have you used this? Do you like it? Any other suggestions for Retinol?CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum

6 HG curl creams💕Give U the Best Twist Out Ever👏🏾
The key to getting healthy curls is to keep your locks as hydrated as possible. That’s why the best curl creams have moisturizing ingredients. To help you narrow down your choices, here are 6 of the best products for curly hair that will make your type 3 or 4 curls look beautiful. Thanks to these favorite curlers to define natural hair, I can transform a frizzy head into a radiant spectacle of curls. Eden BodyWorks It contains natural ingredients, such as coconut oil, shea butter. This product works great on natural black hair! I did Bantu knots using this product and it turned out amazing!! Shea Moisture This is the only Shea Moisture product that I use from time to time. I don't use it too often because it contains silk protein additions and it can upset my hair's moisture. I tend to use curl definition creams in my shampoo routine, which usually includes a deep treatment. My deep hair care already contains hydrolyzed protein and this curl enhancing smoothie can harden my hair sometimes and I think it boils down to the fact that I have too much protein in my hair. Cantu With such an affordable price, Cantu's Coconut Curling Cream gives students a bang for their buck. Formulated without harsh ingredients, this thick defining leaves hair stylable and visibly brighter. In addition, it smells good! Be careful though, although it has a nice blend of added oils, it also contains protein which can be a problem if your hair is sensitive to it. Camille Rose I use this after applying a leave-in conditioner to give my hair extra hold. On days where my hair needs extra help, I follow up with a bit of hair gel! Afro Sheen I bought this product because I wanted something cheaper than Shea Moisture. It’s very thick and over moisturizes my curls I think it does help to bring them out. AS I AM Definitely worth the price! It is thick and very moisturizing. It doesn’t have to use a lot to get the full effects of it.

What is a twaidout?
I tried a twaidout for the first time in November and have been in love ever since!! Some of you may be asking “what is a twaidout?” You start off by braiding your hair halfway down and then two or three strand twisting the rest. I normally three strand twist because I get more definition! I have a full video of how I did the twaidout on my YouTube channel (link in bio) if you want to see exactly how I did this! ☺️
Preserving My Curls Overnight
This is how I preserve most of my hairstyles overnight! I hear many people complain about how their bonnet or scarf is always falling off their head and ending up on the floor once they wake up, I was having the same issue! That is when I decided to create a wrap that would stay on throughout the night while protecting your curls. I hand make them myself and sale on Etsy (link in my bio) if you are interested! 😊

LET'S TALK GEL MOISTURIZERS! 💧
OILY SKIN FRIENDS THIS ONE IS FOR YOU! I never looked back once I introduce gel moisturizers into my routine. I used to have pretty oily skin but now it's closer to combo, most oils are in the t-zone. I spent a lot of time using products & creating a routine that would easy my oil production. Some things worked, some things didn't, such is life but I'm here to share with you why gel moisturizers are the best & rate a few I have personally tried. Here's some reasons why I've consistently kept this type of product in my routine: Non-greasy & lightweight hydration — Most days wearing a cream moisturizer can weigh down on my skin. I can swipe it on and not feel like I need to blot or even worry about checking in the mirror. They're great for oilier skin types because they absorb QUICKLY and DEEPLY! Oil-free formulation — Free of thick oils that can just worsen the situation, this will be comfortable & can even help maintain your oil. As you can see this is definitely great for keeping comfortable hydration especially in those that don't feel good about wearing anything too thick on the skin. This kind of moisturizer is also great for athletes & warmer temperatures, it'll seep into the skin with ease. Most of all, I can't express this enough it's GREAT FOR OILY SKIN! If you want to control oil production I recommend researching what products (serums, creams, mists, etc.) will help. Not just ingredients! Let's start with ratings.... GARNIER - SkinActive Water Rose 24H Moisture Cream I wanted to love this! Honestly it felt like water but it didn't feel like it was doing everything I needed. Felt like I was using more than I normally do with other products. Also, minor but there was product build up around the edges of the pot like it would dry there? I would clean it off but it was something I hadn't seen before. Simple - Water Boost Gel Cream This was okay but the bottle is TINY! I needed to repurchase way too soon. The texture was there, felt thick but smooth on the skin. I really just wish I could get more. GARNIER - SkinActive Rose Water 24H Moisture Gel I like this WAY better than the potted cream. I don't think the rose aspect made that big of a difference though. I couldn't attach fully to this only because it felt how it should but not above & beyond. It was thicker than the cream by a long shot. I love the matted packaging. Overall, it's okay but we deserve better! Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream TO BE CLEAR THIS IS THE EXTRA DRY EDITION! It contains HA (hyaluronic acid) & it's my favorite right now. I have tried both versions and with this I notice the long term hydration! My skin still feels smooth at the end of the day. As always: What works for me may or may not work for you so DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH! Thanks for reading. 🤍
