1 week update
thanks to all lovely beauties out there to take their time and add a comment on my last post. I was devastated by breakout, i was having from last 2-3 weeks and nothing seems to be working. Well i guess too many exfoliants was making my skin too sensitive so now i am back to basics. I have started what i was doing in the beginning and that seems to be working just fine. I think i was selfish to have a great skin in no time 🥴. If someone is just curious what i am doing right now then lets go to products. AM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control it has tree oil which is good for acne prone skin The Ordinary - Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ as i have sensitive and oily skin this makes my face matte and oil free. I really like this one for oily skin or combination skin PM: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser sukin - Pore Perfecting Toner Blemish Control The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (only on spots and acne 2-3 times a week) The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA (once a week) The Ordinary - Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (once a week) The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque (once a week) The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane tea tree oil only on spots Even if i have listed so many items i feel i have very basic skin care routine as most of the products are being used weekly or only 2-3 times a week. But in the end this routine is working out for me and i am seeing good progress which makes me happy. Again thanks to all who suggested me before ❤️❤️
Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines pt. 3
Hey y’all! Today’s post is part 3 of 4 of my Reviewing My Followers Skincare Routines series. In today’s post we’re covering @geralorentas and @robynkenner ! Starting with @geralorentas. She starts out by cleansing with theCeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser which costs $13 for 8 fl oz. This cleanser has super gentle exfoliating agents, as well as glycerin and Hylaronic acid which are very hydrating. Next she uses theRENÉE ROULEAU - Rapid Response Detox Toner which costs $41 for 6 fl oz. This toner, as far as toners go, is pretty good. Its main draws are Salicylic acid and Lactic acid which are great for dealing with acne. Next she uses theSKIN GRAMMAR - Super Good Repair Essence which costs $38 for 5.7 fl oz. This essence has Nicinamide and glycerin, as well as a ton of ceramides. Unfortunately it has orange peel oil. Citrus oils a extracts are extremely irritating to the skin because they are acidic, so I have to say no to this essence. Next she uses the RENÉE ROULEAU - Vitamin C&E Treatment which costs $69 for 1 fl oz. It has glycerin, Vitamin E, and Vitamin C, but again it has citrus oils and extracts which make this another no for me. Then to moisturize she goes in with the#Dr. zenovia - Peptide + Ceramide Moisturizer[products]#[FourStars] which costs $79 for 1.7 fl oz. This moisturizer has ceramides and glycerin. Finally she goes in with theLA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Anti-shine Dry Touch Facial Sunscreen SPF50+ which I couldn’t find the price for. It’s a really good basic sunscreen. So that’s @geralorentas routine. For her I would recommend getting rid of the essence and the treatment, but otherwise the products seem great! Moving on to @robynkenner. She starts with a double cleanse, and we’ll talk in a minute about what she’s doing wrong. She starts with the The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser which costs $7.90 for 1 fl oz. The main ingredients in this are squalane and glycerin. A lot of people complain that this cleanser is so gentle is barely cleans, but it seems to work for @robynkenner. Then she uses theMurad - Clarifying Cleanser which costs $32 for 6.75 fl oz. The main draw for this product is Salicylic acid, but again it’s a no because of citrus oils and extracts as well as fragrance. Now I mentioned that she’s double cleansing wrong. Double cleansing isn’t just using 2 cleansers, it’s specifically using an oil based cleanser and then a water based cleanser. (Check out my post on double cleansing for more information) In this case, @robynkenner is using 2 water based cleansers which can be stripping to the skin, and isn’t considered double cleansing. She mentioned she started doing this because her skin didn’t feel clean with just the first cleanse, and I think this might be because the Squalane Cleanser is too gentle. Next she uses theNeutrogena - Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream which costs $25 for .5 fl oz. First off, eye cream should be at the end of a routine. The eye cream itself is great though. Next she usesThe Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution which costs $8.70 for 8 fl oz. I talked about this product in pt. 1, but in short it’s really good. And finally she uses the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream which costs $36 for 6 fl oz. This is a nice super thick basic moisturizer. So in conclusion @robynkenner, I’d try to find a new cleanser, then just add your eye cream after moisturizer instead of early in the routine. That’s all for pt. 3! Please cheer for this post if you liked it, comment below your favorite cleansers to help out @robynkenner, and follow me to join the family and for similar content. -Mae
Curology is the HG of HGs
Let me go ahead & join the chorus of folx singing Curology’s praises because LOOK AT THIS!!! Scroll to see my before, there is 1.5 months in between these photos & it may not look like much to y’all but i have never ever had a face with 0 breakouts at any given time. Right now i have no active breakouts & I haven’t had one pop up at all for a lil over a month (knock on wood). My adjustment to the formula was actually pretty easy, I had a bit of purging on my forehead for about a week but nothing major which is another win! Curology - Curology formula My current prescription: Tretinoin 0.009% Clindamycin 1% Azelaic Acid 9% Now I’m looking for recs for a vitamin C serum that can help with my scarring & balance out my skin tone! If you got some good ideas lmk 🥰 #CherieCreator #Curology
Buh baiiii acne
Neutrogena - Rapid Clear Stubborn Acne Spot Gel This little guy treats and controls stubborn acne. It helps clear acne by reducing the size, redness, and number of stubborn breakouts. It’s texture is a convo between cream and gel which is better that other benzoyl peroxide spot treatments I’ve used, which then to crack and come off. I love this product because it is in fact fast! Whether it is reducing the size of a pimple or completely vanish it, it does work. Plus I tend to like gels and creams over liquid spot treatments. I would definitely recommend it because it’s very affordable and the highest non-prescription strength available in the US. It’s def worth the try! Use it over night or as soon as you feel a breakout coming up.

Curology my Savior!
So for the past couple of months I’ve been struggling with getting my skin clear...again. After dealing with what people have told me, rosacea, I started paying attention to the ingredients of my skin care products more. They were all alcohol-free yet it’s not doing its job enough to clear out my rosacea. I had cute little pimples popping here and there on my face and I would cry days over it. I couldn’t handle it!!! Until finally, I gave in to Curology. I tried its trial set and wow after a week the redness of my cheeks started to fade away!! I was so happy! The second week it was absolutely gone! I gave in, I subscribed to Curology and ever since then my skin has always been great. I’ve been using Curology for almost 2 months now and my skin has never been better. Don’t worry about if you have to drop the current skin care products because you STILL CAN USE them! Simply follow the instructions provided by Curology in order to slowly ease your way into using your favorite products + Curology! I currently am using the products and formula prescribed by my personal provider from Curology + the Innisfree Olive Real Skin care set + Boscia Rosewater mist witch hazel. Combine all of these equals a dewy face and my skin never looks stressed anymore. It’s as healthy as it can be :) Review on products: Moisturizer- I have the rich moisturizer and it does not have a sent at all. It does leave some sort of sticky feeling to the skin but a couple of minutes later your skin feels great and healthy. Cleanser- the cleanser is smooth and a bit foamy once you lather it with water. There is no scent too! I can probably compare this to Cerave’s hydrating cleanser. They’re quite similar so that could possibly be a dupe for Curology’s cleanser. Formula- everyone’s formula is different. Mine contains: () 2% of Azelaic Acid which unclogs pores, acne, and inflammation () 1% of Clindamycin which puts out breakouts () 0.25% Zinc Pyrithione which fights acne-causing fungus and bacteria —all of these are explained by your personal physician assistant-certified provider. This formula works on me!! The rosacea is gone AND the minor break outs. THANK YOU! The last three pictures are my skin now after 2 months of my own customized formula. It’s the real deal, I’m not disappointed. If you’re still having trouble with your skin, I personally recommend trying Curology. They have a free trial first, so do not get too nervous that you would have to pay right away. They also have you take a survey that focuses on the things you want to fix on your skin before you get started on your treatment plan. It’s all easy and understandable. You’re one click away, get your glow on girl! Your skin journey, I’m here for it✨ Curology - The Moisturizer Curology - Curology formula Curology - The Cleanser
XL Acne Patches?!
Do you love what acne patches do for your pimples, but wish you could cover a cluster of pimples? This is the perfect product for you! What is it? - Avarelle XL Acne Patches are created for people who suffer from troublesome skin or blemish issues in order to lower the unwanted stress levels and to boost your confidence for a cleaner, happier skin. Avarelle is made with Tea Tree Oil, Calendula Oil & Hydrocolloid Dressing. Simply apply Avarelle whenever you see unwelcoming acne coming up. - They are available on Amazon for $8.50 for 8 patches! What’s in it? - Tea Tree Oil: skin-soothing properties and antioxidant. - Calendula Oil: skin-soothing and antioxidant properties. - Cica/Centella: source of amino acids and has soothing properties. - Hydrocolloid Dressing: thought to work by drawing out sebum, absorbing excess oil, reducing inflammation, and significantly reducing the size of blemishes. How to use- - Cleanse & Dry Area. Before applying toner/lotion/etc, peel and apply the patch overnight or desired amount of time (minimum of 6 hours). My review- - I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. I started getting an increased amount of acne, especially around my chin/jawline. I had previously used the traditional small, circle acne patches, but found that I needed something bigger to cover the clusters of pimples that I had. I searched on Amazon and found these amazing XL acne patches! - I have used these patches a couple times now, and they are so effective! They stick so well to the skin. I typically wear them overnight since even though they are almost clear, it’s still visible on the skin. I find them to be the perfect size, but you can cut them to fit your face better. - They really do suck all the sebum out of the pimple and make them clear up so much faster. Plus they prevent you from picking at the acne, which is helpful all by itself! I definitely recommend trying these out!
