Perfect match for oily skin!!!
I know these two things, maybe not strange to most of you. Actually, I've tried these two separately before but I've never thought it could be so amazing to use them together. Truely 1+1>2!!! 1. Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This product has very few active ingredients, it is good for the younger skin of up to 30 years old at best, after then you need something more effective, hence the amount and price. One of my friends told me that this was the only moisturiser that she could use with her sensitive break out skin, i doubted it until i tried it by myself. As typical oily and sensitive skin, most of the time I just use some very expensive cream like lamer or lp in order not to irritate my skin and meanwhile moisturize it. Now I should say this one has perfectly done what I need, especially when I use it with what i'm gonna introduce below, plus it is great under foundation. 2.KIEHL'S calendula herbal-extract toner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It is formulated with whole flowers & pure extracts, which can gently removes residue from cleanser or makeup . It has really good ingredients with no alcohol. It soothes skin without drying out moisture. I felt in love with the toner when I first tried the sample at a local Kiehl's store. It's light weight yet hydrating at the same time, provides great control for my oily T-zone. I usually use it in the morning before applying the essence. Dear sis if you are same skin type as me, plzzzz try these two together! I promise they can make your skin fresh and healthy!

My go-to drugstore gel-cream
Can you tell from my picture of empties that I’m slightly obsessed with this moisturizer? I always have a back up of this in my cupboard and I have a big fear of running out. Why gel-cream? I’ve mentioned before in another post, but I definitely prefer a gel-cream for my combo (sometimes oily), acne prone skin! It’s light, gentle and doesn’t make your skin feel greasy. And this does a great job of locking in the moisture but not leaving my skin so greasy that it could possibly produce more oil. I use this morning and night and it works perfectly with my skin type. I love trying other gel-creams like the belif - The True Cream Aqua Bomb but I tend to always come back to the Neutrogena version because it’s affordable and dependable. And honestly, I love to spend money on skincare, but I also feel guilty when I am spreading a more expensive moisturizer all over my face, neck and chest. The key is I always buy the fragrance-free version. Even though I don’t have very dry skin, I honestly feel like my skin prefers the version without the fragrance and it’s still light and gel-like in texture. The good: + The price! Now it’s not the cheapest drugstore moisturizer, but compared to a gel-cream from belif it’s definitely more affordable. + The texture is light and gel-like and glides so easily across the skin. + Oil-free and fragrance-free! + It’s non-comedogenic and won’t clog my pores. + Absorbs nicely into the skin and doesn’t leave it feeling greasy. + Has a couple nice, hydrating ingredients (hyaluronic acid and olive extracts). The not so good: - I really wish this came in a bigger jar because I don’t love all the waste that I’m producing by buying all these new containers of moisturizer. And I go through these pretty quickly now.. like almost one every 1.5 months. - Although the brand always emphasizes how this product has hyaluronic acid, it’s actually pretty far down the ingredient list. So it does make we question just how much is in the formula. Not a big deal for me, but if you do have really dry skin, you might need something a little more heavy duty than this product. Worth it? For around $20, I definitely think this is worth it. Especially when compared to other high-end options. Will I repurchase? I have probably.... 7 times now! And plan to again :) 💕

Face Moisturizer 4 the Gawds
Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer (without sunscreen) Out of all the face moisturizers I have tried, this Aveeno moisturizer is the ONLY one my skin loves. Not too heavy, but not too thin. Good for summer, and good for winter. Won’t clog your pores, but won’t leave you wanting more. Perfect for dry skin, and perfect for oily skin. This moisturizer does it all. Has .5% salicylic acid to keep those pores clear. Evens skin tone and makes skin softer. I use this day and night. It has a light almost undetectable scent. It absorbs into the skin rather than sit on top. I never found it to be irritating. I found it rather soothing after a face mask. It never reacted badly with other skincare products. This one is a mainstay in my skincare routine. I have never found another like it. #bae
Picked Comments: Use the Right Moisturizer
Using moisturizer is a crucial step to amp up your skincare routine, and choosing the right one based on different skin types and skincare concerns is not that easy🤩. There has been lots of Cherie users in our community using and recommodating different types of moisturizer, and we truly appreciate their effort to make these super useful comments🥰. @marijf “The one problem I have with Body Shop is that they tend to formulate with tons of fragrance, which can be irritating. A great cheap treatment for acne, dark marks, and pores is Differin gel: however do research before you use it. Some good moisturizers might be any of CeraVe and La Roche Posay’s. They’re easy to find, and work great for oily skin. In my opinion toners aren’t necessary, but if you really want one, the Hada Labo Premium Gold Lotion might work. But only apply it to damp skin since it contains hyaluronic acid. And you mentioned not wearing moisturizer and SPF everyday, as time consuming as it is, you probably should be. By moisturizing the skin, it won’t overproduce oil (our skins pretty smart), and UVA/UVB rays come through our windows, not to mention blue light from electronics. Best of luck!! @lilig "I always believe that moisture is the key to everyone's skincare routine. But TBH I am willing to spend too much on moisturizers as it only needs to satisfy one simple need. I'd rather save some money and spend more on serum and makeup😂 (just my personal feelings lol). So sis, let me introduce you some of my fav cheaper but EXCELLENT moisturizers! The Cetaphil Oil Absorbing moisturizer is super lightweight, and it has its some sort of magical technology that can help absorb excess oil on the surface of the skin. So it won't be too skicky or oily. And it's only $15!! Buy it sis!!" For other Cherie members, feel free to comment below and talk about your choice of moisturizer. EMPTY! HOLY GRAIL
|| Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel || Targeted for: Dry skin to keep sUpPLe and sOft I LOOOVE this moisturizer and have repurchased this more than 3 times before I decided to venture out into higher end moisturizers. It’s exactly what it says it is - a water gel texture that transforms and sinks in like water into the skin. I have oily/dry combination skin that’s also acne prone and this quickly became one of the moisturizers I knew I could rely on. I’ve recommended this to some of my friends and they’ve also loved this just as much as I have because not only does it get the work done, it gets the work done WELL. This was recommended to me by my dermatologist (via Curology) because it’s non-comedogenic (does not clog your pores) and would react well with the prescription, and it did just that. You can sometimes buy this in bulk at Costco (which is what I did) because it’s kinda? expensive? for a drugstore brand ($21). I think at Costco it comes in a pack of 2 for the same price which is AMAZING!

Oil Control Skincare: Seriously Shine Free!
The product: It uses aloe Vera and bamboo to extract oils from the skin and provide a moisturizer and smooth looking face. It’s supposed to keep you shin free and pores not clogged. Oil Control Skincare Review: Face moisturizers are pretty expensive and my face gets dry during the winter so I wanted to try a decently priced moisturizer. I have oily areas on my face so I decided to try this one. And it’s a miracle because this for such a nice price, it works really well! The smell is nice and light, it literally smells like what it’s made out of: aloe vera and bamboo. The moisturizer has a smooth medium thickness texture, it is shown in one of the pictures. When putting it on my face, it went on very gentle and smooth. My face felt cool and refreshed/hydrated after. It left my face soft and moisturized. It did not irritate my skin and there were absolutely no breakouts from this! The results were really positive. Throughout my day, I had absolutely no shine from oil on my face. This product did really well regulating the oils. I would definitely recommend this product since it’s a good moisturizer and oil controller for such a nice price! Ulta regularly does sales on this brand, I bought this for around $4.00. Since then, I’ve been using it everyday and it’s been working extremely well!
