Briogeo Scalp Revival at the Sephora Sale

The November Sephora sale is coming up soon, so I wanted to tell you all about my thoughts on these Briogeo Scalp Revival products. Note: I will not be talking about the shampoo. I really love Briogeo as a brand. Their Curl Charisma line has really helped me bring my curls back to life. However, I have super sensitive skin all over my body and this includes my scalp. I have to treat it right or else I get HELLA itchy and I also get dandruff occasionally. Here are my thoughts and experiences with Briogeo’s Scalp Revival Conditioner and Scalp Treatment Serum:
Briogeo Scalp Revival Conditioner: Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Peppermint Oil Cooling Jelly Conditioner
ok, so you can clearly see that I’ve rated this 1/5 stars... but let me explain why: my hair is SO DRY. It’s really frustrating having to use lightweight products near my scalp, but having to use super thick creams on the rest of my hair. I thought this product might solve that problem by, you know, conditioning my hair a good amount all around. Nope. This conditioner has the same consistency as their shampoo, just minus the exfoliating beads...they describe it as a “gel conditioner” but it freaking lathers dude like a conditioner LATHERING?!?! No thank you. It dried out my hair so badly and did not give me any type of moisture whatsoever. So, obviously, this is not the right product for my hair type, but who would benefit from this? I would definitely recommend this conditioner if you have the oiliest hair on the planet. Like, wash your hair daily oily, no curl, no texture, just pin straight hair. That is the only type of hair I’d recommend this to. I got this in a travel kit (2oz) which I would recommend picking up if this sounds like your kind of product!
Briogeo Scalp Revival Treatment Serum:Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Tea Tree Scalp Treatment Serum
ok, so we are obviously full 180 here. Let me tell you about my lover. My partner in crime. The treatment serum. Oh my gosh. This has SAVED my scalp on multiple occasions. I use it every other time I wash my hair, so probably twice a month. It’s a lightweight serum that treats itchy and dry scalp but it doesn’t make your scalp oily AT ALL!! I love it. I part my hair into sections around the front hairline and crown where I get the itchiest, and apply it while my hair is wet after I get out of the shower. It’s kind of pricey (1oz for $32) but a bottle lasts forever for me. Like, at least a year! I highly recommend this for those with an itchy scalp.
Ok, but why tea tree and charcoal? They have healing and cleansing properties for your scalp without being overly harsh or stripping to your hair. Briogeo’s products are 6-free: no harsh sulfates, no parabens, no silicones, no phthalates, no artificial dyes, no DEA. This supports healthy overall hair. Have you tried anything from Briogeo? #CheriePartner

Hair Care Essentials!
Hi Everyone! So I wanted to make a post on my hair care routine on the days that I do wash my hair because it has helped my hair so much as opposed to my old routine which was the customized shampoo and conditioner that either dried out my hair or my scalp or both. This is such an important time of the year to make sure our hair gets all the right care it needs because the air is so dry. So... let’s begin! First, before I get into the shower I use my Wet brush - Original Detangler to get out all the loose hairs so I don’t have as much of an issue in the shower. Next, in the shower I rinse my hair with just water and then start my shampoo process. I use a few finger globs of the Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo and rub it in with my fingers first. Then before I rinse it out I use the Briogeo - Scalp Revival Stimulating Therapy Massager to better massage it in my hair. I love it because it really gets the shampoo into my scalp and the shampoo foams so nicely and feels wonderful in my hair. After the shampoo and massager, I rinse it out and next I use the Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Peppermint Oil Cooling Jelly Conditioner which is great with everything combined but the one downside is it doesn’t feel like it’s actually conditioning my hair. You really have to brush it with a comb in the shower in order to spread it all through your hair. But hey, it does the job. Rub that in for about a minute and rinse out. When I get out of the shower, I use (second picture) this microfiber hair towel to soak up all the water fast. I couldn’t find it as a product on this site but I got it on amazon for cheap and it does wonders to the drying process of my hair. I would say it’s just as good as the fancier hair towels. Once my hair gets a little dryer but still damp, I part my hair so my scalp is shower in the areas I get dandruff the most and add a few drops of the Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Tea Tree Scalp Treatment Serum right onto the skin and massage it in with my fingers. Next I spray the dpHUE - Apple Cider Vinegar Leave-in Hair Therapy onto my hair generously and brush it through again with my wet brush. After that’s all said and done, I put my hair into a braid and let it air dry. Right now it’s in the process of drying but later I will add the final look to the post. I’m very excited about this new hair care routine and I think it’s doing wonders to my hair and scalp! ✨

✨take care of yo scalp 💁🏽‍♀️💆🏽‍♀️✨
Hello everybody, here are a couple things (not all but some of my faves) I use to combat some of the issues I have had trouble dealing with over the years. I don’t have a lot of dandruff per day but I have flakes that won’t come off? If that makes sense.. Let’s call what I have mild dandruff with some clogged pores. Here is what I have found to work for me: Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo Yes, the very famous, well known shampoo that everyone and their moms know and love. Yes it is just as good as everyone hypes it up to be. It’s magical, the exfoliating grains aren’t too coarse and the minty smell, cleans your soul. Words aren’t enough, and Sephora is giving away samples as birthday presents. Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Tea Tree Scalp Treatment Serum Yep, same deal with the scalp oil. I tried others but this one gets me all the time! It’s very light weight too, I have incredibly fine hair that gets greasy very easily (yeah my scalp and hair is basically a nightmare on my head, like literally) the oil helps my self esteem but also I have seen a tangible difference in how my scalp reacts when I put this stuff on. It’s a cooling feeling and over time you see less clogged pores (That means you don’t get the weirds scalp acne anymore) SEPHORA COLLECTION - SEPHORA COLLECTION Scalp Massager I brought this knock off because it was 10 dollars, I saved my coins unlike some other people. But also if you can support briogeo so they make more cool stuff, if you can that is. This scalp massager may have just been what I needed my whole life. I am going to buy my mom one too! My scalp feels more relaxed, those sore spots loosened up and I know it’s circulating everything.. that’s kinda the whole point. Good tool to have, i use it in the shower with shampoo but I also use it with serums, oils and any treatments for the scalp (and back of the neck, it’s not meant for your neck and shoulders but it feels so good...) NOT YOUR MOTHER'S - Activated Bamboo Charcoal & Purple Moonstone Restore & Reclaim Scalp Scrub Thought I would like it because I like this brand but it’s not worth it.. it’s a nice conditioner with some wax beads... I guess that’s what happens when you buy hair stuff from the grocery store.. but like it’s a nice conditioner.. Kyn. - Restore Hemp Oil Did a review on this, check that in my feed! sulfur 8 - Medicated Anti-Dandruff Hair and Scalp Conditioner Original Formula Last but not least, the MVP of the whole scalp dealings. Apply this for atleast three hours before washing it off, be generous but also know a little goes a long way. Doesn’t smell good but it will do wonders, it’s like magic, use it with the scalp massager and that’s a double whammy. You just got yourself a new scalp! Aaand you’re welcome!

Mr. Incredible or Mr. Okay?
Mr. Incredible or Mr. Okay?
I received a drybar mini kit a while ago after a blowout a while ago and I liked some of the products, so in my quest for a good leave in conditioner I decided to take the plunge and buy this leave-in. If you can’t tell from the photo, this product is in an aerosol can and comes out in a mousse-like consistency, a lot different than other leave ins I’ve used. It’s recommended on the bottle that you spray it in your hands and then work it through your hair. It smells really sweet, like candy, and it wasn’t irritating to my allergies which was nice! The bottle claims that this is the “ultimate” leave-in conditioner witht a whole host of benefits from softening, defrizzing, detangling and repairing damage. The product is thick and didn’t really absorb into my hair, and gave it a kind of slimy texture. I really just coated my strands and weighed down my curls. After about a month of use, I didn’t notice any change other than a buildup of product and dull strands. Overall it was a major let down. This product is probably better for people with thicker or straight hair, but for this price point, there are way better options. drybar - Mr. Incredible The Ultimate Leave-In Conditioner gets 2 stars for me!

Recent Scalp Treatments
My scalp is always dry and itchy, even in spring and summer! I recently purchased and tried two scalp treatments to try. Because my hair is fine and a bit thin, I chose ones that are pre shampoo treatments to wash out. I hate the feeling of making my hair more greasy than it needs to be with leave-in treatments. First, I tried the Yes To Tea Tree Soothing Scalp Treatment that I got at target for about $10. The comb applicator seemed nice, but was actually a bit difficult to run through my hair. The Pacifica Scalp Love serum smelled great and felt nice massaging it into my scalp. I got this for about $10 at Ulta (it’s also at Target) and ultimately it’s my favorite of the two. I really wanted to love the Yes To Tea Tree Scalp Treatment, but overall the Pacifica Serum was easier to apply and use. Got a favorite scalp treatment? Let me know!! 😁💆‍♀️

Best Daily-Use Conditioner For Medium Density Hair
Best Daily-Use Conditioner For Medium Density Hair
I have thick strong hair, but it was relatively loose yet hardly manageable. I don’t really see very noticeable problems with my hair, but I keep gradually losing hair because my scalp gets dry very often, even in the summertime where I tend to shampoo too often.   For the hair type like mine, average hair with medium density, it is important to give it decent care very often. When it comes to daily care,  my personal favorite would be Kiehl's Amino Acid Conditioner. It is very gentle but more than enough for what your hair needs every day.   My experience with Kiehl’s Amino Acid Conditioner is that, it does not give you many instant improvements overnight except for making it smooth, but it does gradually improve both your hair and scalp health over time.   Kieh’s Amino Acid Conditioner is one of the most gentle conditioners that I have used, with a rich creamy texture and very subtle coconut and wheat scent. Unlike most conditioners, it does not make your hair extremely slippery when applying it on your hair, and it could all be rinsed off your hair. So there is no fake instant effect. But over time, say 2 months, it restores the shine and smoothness of your hair and maintains it manageable all day long even if you forget to bring your conditioner or any conditioner on your trip.   Most importantly, this conditioner is designed for both hair and scalp. So don’t worry that you have to avoid it from your scalp; instead, it moisturizes and soothes your scalp, and works particularly well for dry scalps. Although it is not a loss prevention conditioner, it does help to reduce the problem and would work very well for medium density hair type as hair loss is often caused by scalp problems.

Girls with fine hair cannot miss this conditioner!
Girls with fine hair cannot miss this conditioner!
Kiehl's - Amino Acid Shampoo Kiehl's - Amino Acid Conditioner Kiehl's amino acid shampoo and hair conditioner are hyped for a long time ago! I've heard about it for a long time, but I haven't bought it at first. After being strongly recommended by my friends, I finally bought the size of 500ml at a discount and then fell in love with them quickly! So I bought a size of 1L directly this time. It will last for at least 1 year. I am too lazy to check those ingredients, so I’ll just talk about my use experience. First of all, my hair is so smooth after washing that it even look like a little elastic. In particular, this conditioner, which I particularly recommend today, works well with other shampoo products, too. Just a little bit of it can make your hair look super healthy and fluffy. It helps create more volume on my hair. Also, after using this product, you can go many days without having to wash your hair. I don't like to wash my hair, unless I have something important to do the next day. Since I used this product, my hair can be maintained for several days fresh, not greasy, not collapsing and itchy. So washing your hair once a week is totally OK. When you realize, well, you don't have to wash your hair tonight, it feels so good! Finally, it can increase the amount of hair which is also my fav point! The water here is very alkaline. I was not used to it and my hairline has receded. Then my friend told me that “Your hair care product is not right, plz choose those containing moisturizing factors.”so I bought this set of products, and as expected I no longer lose hair. What's your fav conditioner recently?

How to treat dry scalp for medium hair? My answer is...
How to treat dry scalp for medium hair? My answer is...
Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo This is rather worth it and in my own opinion it is awesome for my head. I have medium, blond, fine, wavy hair and dry scalp, which requires a lot of conditioner or hair mask. So, this product is great for a scalp treatment and to get all of the products out. I use it on mine once a week or as needed. I have dry scalp, so if I purposely waited a few days to let my scalp get greasy to put this stuff through the paces. I "scrubbed up" twice and liked the cooling sensation it had on my scalp. The texture is jelly-like and fun to shower with. It wasn't too abrasive, but it took a bit of work to rinse all the product out of my fine, wavy hair. It leave my hair so soft and smooth and I haven't had any dandruff since I started using it. I love it to cool my scalp when and if it gets a little dry and flaky. I also use the charcoal oil from this like to treat my scalp after. Sometimes I use them together. My usage:Step1 Apply 1-2 walnut sized amounts to wet hair. Step 2 Vigorously message into the scalp, through to the ends of the hair. Step 3 Rinse and repeat,if necessary. Step 4 Follow up with your conditioner or other treatment. This shampoo smells amazing. Its minty and amazing. I also noticed a slight medicinal odor along with the mint chocolate fragrance. After rinsing, my scalp felt refreshed. I took a point off for the medicinal smell, thesomewhat difficult process of rinsing out all the scrub, and the consistency of the scrub. However, my hair and scalp feel clean and refreshed, and helped calm the flakiness of my scalp better than any product and it doesn't have the weird smells that many dandruff products have. It leaves my hair smelling great and my scalp in great condition.
