Hair experiment...overnight wet braids?

Alright guys...it has been SO LONG since I’ve done an overnight braid with wet hair. This is NOT a new trend and has been used for years, but I wanted to experiment this technique with a new curl product I have... Here are the steps I took to achieve these tight curls:
Wash & towel-dry your hair! I have dry, thick, curly hair so I used a line of curl-friendly shampoo & conditioner.
Comb a curl-finishing product through your hair. I would normally use a frizz control gel or cream, but I recently purchased the Coil Custard from Briogeo Briogeo - Curl Charisma Chia + Flax Seed Coil Custard
and omg. It held my curls SO WELL and this huge tub is only $20! I only had to use a nickel to quarter size amount to cover my entire head of hair.
Section your hair off. You can make your sections as large or as small as you want to—the smaller the sections, the tighter your curls will be.
Start braiding each section. I personally did not use French braids as I wanted more volume.
To make the sections/braids more manageable, put them in a bun or ponytail. This kept them out of my face until the next morning!
Let air dry overnight. As you can see, my roots got super frizzy LOL.
Take out the braids. The Curl Charisma coil custard really held them together! I’m not super stoked with how they turned out but when clipped back, my hair looks voluminous and I can always add water to my hair to normalize my curls.
Style as you see fit! The possibilities are endless!
Have you ever tried and overnight braid or curler? #CheriePartner

how to spice up your straight hair!🌶
how to spice up your straight hair!🌶
hello everyone! today i am showing you some looks and giving you some tips on how to style and work with your straight hair! these hairstyles may work for curly hair, but the probably are easier to do with straight hair. so, i have extremely straight, fine, and thick hair. it does not hold curls whatsoever, and i dont like using heat on my hair. not to mention i have so much hair that it takes me three hours to curl my whole head! because of this, i opt for leaving my hair straight, but still keeping it stylish. straight doesnt have to mean boring! first of all, i care for my hair using various shampoos. i shower every other day, and have to brush my hair every few hours or its a rats nest. my hair is also very dry, and i found that the only conditioner that really works for it is GARNIER - Whole Blends Smoothing Conditioner With Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter Extracts its literally like $4 at walgreens and works great! other that that, the only other product i use in my hair is ARGAN MAGIC - 10 in 1 Treatment Leave in Spray , which provides moisture and helps with tangles. its good to use a hair mist to help with any frizz or dryness! ive had a tough time finding hairstyles that suit me, so here are some of my favorites! dutch braids dutch braids are a classic! they keep hair from getting tangled and can be very casual or dressed up! they also can curl your hair overnight 🌙 its a little tricky to learn how to do, and if you cant do them i suggest you watch my french braid dupe tutorial here on cherie! the difference between french and dutch braids is that you braid over and in the middle for a french braid, but for a dutch braid you braid under and to the middle. its a little tricky to explain! if you cant do these, you can also just do two normal braids! half up half down half up half down works for everyone, but it looks very sleek with straight hair! it adds volume if you have thin hair as well. in this photo, i did a high pony on the top of my head with a scruncie. the scruncie adds style and class✨ other things you can do are half up half down bun, or a braid, or anything you can come up with! “covering” the band an easy way to add style to a straight head of hair is by putting your hair up in one or two ponytails, then using a smaller strand of hair to wrap around where you placed the band/scrunchie. this “hides” the band. you can hold it in place with a bobby pin. this is also very classy (if not as messy as mine) and can also be done with braids! so, lemme know what you think! how do you care for your straight hair? dont forget to follow and cheer❤️❤️

SLIM A ROUND FACE WITH THIS SIMPLE TRICK
SLIM A ROUND FACE WITH THIS SIMPLE TRICK
An oval face is deemed as the most attractive face shape. Most fall under this category, but if you don’t, do not worry because there are plenty of ways to create the illusion of having one. I achieved a slimmer looking face without having to get a hair cut. In the photo on the left, my hair is pulled back showcasing the round contours of my face. When I want to look more “attractive”, I wear my hair down which creates this slimmer illusion of an oval face in the right photo. The long length of my hair draws the eyes down also taking away from my rounded face. With that being said, haircuts above the jawline can accentuate round features so opt for anything shorter than a long bob. I would love to know what ways you style your hair to take away from a rounded face? ⬇️⬇️

Here's How to Get Voluminous Bouncy Hair 😍😍😍
Are you looking to achieve that just-walked-out-of-the-salon bouncy natural volume style? Somewhere between the huge blowout of the ’80s and the so-slick-it-sticks-to-your-head look of the ’90s, there lies a sleek yet bouncy medium. Many times when we straighten our hair ourselves at home we can achieve a style that is too straight, with no volume and no movement. Luckily, there are a few tricks you can do to give your hair extra volume while straightening it.

Why I prefer middle parts for oval faces
Why I prefer middle parts for oval faces
Why I prefer a middle part on my hair! My hair type is long, wavy and thick. I’ve always had long hair and I often had a slight side part. I decided to change this and I feel like it works so much better! If you have a small oval face shape like me (similar to a heart face shape except with a rounded hairline), I would recommend recommend a middle part. I think the middle part balances out the soft features of an oval shaped face. When considering switching to a middle part, consider what hairstyles you usually wear. If you often wear your hair up, it could be beneficial to have a middle part. For me, when I wear my hair in a low pony I always like to have a middle part. While most of this is up for personal preference, this is just what I recommend and what has worked for me!

How To Pick The Best Curly Hairstyles With Bangs?Look at this!
How To Pick The Best Curly Hairstyles With Bangs?Look at this!
I'm a curly girl with bangs. Recently, most of my curly haired friends complain about how unmanageable their hair is. But on its good days, you can’t deny that you love your curls. We search day in and day out for the perfect hair accessory, only to miss one that’s been right in our face the entire time. Yes! I’m talking about bangs!!! Here I collected some pictures of curly bangs from pinterest to better show how to pick the best curly hairstyles with bangs. 👉For round face If you have a broad forehead, or a round face, then consider these bangs. Your bangs should be graphic, thick and fall just above the eyebrows. The curly bangs will make your face look slim and conceal the length of your forehead. 👉For Long Face If you have a long face, then short bangs are a no-no as they will enhance your forehead. Try long bangs that are either full center or side-swept, and I promise it will look amazing.   👉For Heart Shaped Face A heart-shaped face is the widest at the forehead and gradually narrows down to the chin. Side-swept bangs tapering on the same sides look amazing on heart-shaped faces. Consider feathered shaggy bangs as well. Wispy bangs look incredible on heart-shaped faces. 👉For Oval Face An oval face is angular at the jawline. If you have a pointed jawline, then you have a diamond face. The thing about an oval face is that all fringes look great on it. So, take your pick! It also depends on whether you have a high or short forehead. The way to check that is to see if your forehead is smaller than or bigger than your nose. 🌟Tips For How To Maintain Your Bangs Use a tried and tested shampoo and conditioner that you know works well for you. Don’t change shampoos in between. You can check with a hairstylist on which shampoo and conditioner to use. Trim your bangs regularly. Watch your bangs when you moisturize your face. Make sure you don’t get any cream on your hair. The ingredients you use to moisturize your face might not be suitable for your hair. Hope these tips helpful to you!
