Mask combo I learned from Instagram!

relpixela
Hey guys! I want to share my new favorite mask combination that I learned from Kali of MyFaceStory on Instagram. Note here that I do not use the exact product she does, but I get a similar affect. Kali and I share something in common: ACNE! New acne, healing acne, painful acne....and she taught me that the combination of Cocokind’s turmeric stick along with a chlorophyll mask can help heal up acne QUICK! The products I am using are: cocokind - Turmeric stick
HEAR ME RAW - The Brightener Mask with Chlorophyll+
Let’s go step by step:
cleanse your face
apply the cocokind turmeric stick on your active breakouts and healing acne spots
dab on the chlorophyll mask to cover the areas with turmeric
leave on for 10-20 minutes, rinse gently and continue your routine
Kali says she sometimes leaves this mask on for up to 2 hours, but I’m not sure my sensitive skin could handle that. I use this layered mask 1-2x a week depending on how severe my breakouts are at that time. I notice a real difference in my inflammation and acne stage when this mask is washed off! Mini reviews:
I have already reviewed the cocokind - Turmeric stick
but long story short: it’s $9, available at Target, and has a ton of awesome ingredients safe for sensitive acne prone skin. 5/5!
The Chlorophyll Mask by Hear Me Raw HEAR ME RAW - The Brightener Mask with Chlorophyll+
is definitely interesting. It’s fairly expensive—$42 for the pot, but HMR’s sustainability efforts give them points from me. I do not like using this mask by itself, which kind of pigeon-holes it in this use for me. I received this as a gift, but opinions are my own. I have to rate it 3/5 stars because it’s expensive.
What’s your favorite hack from Instagram?

Cocokind Rocks!!!
These are two pictures I think best show my skin and the condition its in right now, if youd like to see how it used to look you should check out some of my other posts(: Ive started using some new products from CocoKind because Ive been interested in new products lately and I may have had too much to drink one night which lead to a skincare haul online! First, let me say that I did a lot of research on CocoKind before buying and I really loved that theyre Vegan and Cruelty Free. I also loved that all of their products use clean, natural ingredients that are rarely harsh on skin. I used to use a Witchhazel and Apple Cider Vinegar Toner that I make at home but, I recieved their cocokind - Rosewater Facial Toner as a free gift from a promo on line and UHM CAN YOU SAY AMAZING!? Im not even kidding you guys, this toner calms and balances my skin instantly. My skin tends to flush easily so after washing it is usually pretty red. Immediately after washing I use a couple of sprits of this on a cotton pad and my skin transforms into balanced, glowing skin. I then use my Vitamin E oil, acne.org - Moisturizer with Licochalcone , and cocokind - Chia Facial Oil for moisturizers. Lastly, I swipe the cocokind - Revitalizing Eye Cream under my eyes and the cocokind - Turmeric stick all over my lips as a kind of lip mask/moisturizer. The perfect routine for clean, hydrated skin! Please keep in mind that while I did have horrific cystic acne for a certain amount of time, my skin has actively cleared up and my products do not neccessarily revolve around acne anymore. I do make sure to use products that Im sure wont cause new acne to form but I have been trying to stay away from acne fighting agents as I dont really need them anymore. When I do start to break out a bit more I use Benzoyl Peroxide treatments and the cocokind - Turmeric tonic as a spot treatment.

skincare routine update on accutane!
i thought i would also do an update on what products i have been using, since i just added a few a couple weeks ago! *** i do not use all of these every single day! *** night time routine: i’ll start off with the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel , which i have a love, hate relationship with. i love the way it makes my skin feel cleansed of makeup or dirt at the end of the day, but unfortunately it has fragrance, so removing my mascara definitely burns. i then wash my face with the Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser , which i also just realized has fragrance pretty low in the ingredient list, but i still am okay with using it. after cleansing, VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum i use this serum, which has great ingredients in it for controlling the balance of your skin, and also calming it. i just got this around a week ago, but i love how fast my skin absorbs it! after applying serum, i use the Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer , and i absolutely love this moisturizer. i use the fragrance free one (there is one with and without fragrance), and it doesn’t make my skin sting and it feels really hydrating. after this i will apply the FARMACY - Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eye Cream with Acerola Cherry , i don’t know how much of a difference it makes but 5 stars because no fragrance and it feels great :) lastly, i will sometimes use the HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original and Invisible+ Bundle , i like how it helps protect the breakout from environmental factors, but i don’t know how much it actually helps inflammation go down. if my skin is feeling extra dry, i will use The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil , which makes my skin feel great, but i feel like it causes me to breakout around my chin area, so i don’t use it more than 3 times a week. lastly, i will sometimes use the cocokind - Turmeric stick at night and i love, love, love this. it helps with calming inflammation, brightening your skin, and is super easy to apply. my only concern is the fact that the application is stick form, so it may transfer bacteria even if your skin is clean. but other than that, it doesn’t aggravate my skin and all of their products are amazing and i love the packaging and what the company stands for!

👃 Skin Concern: Pores 👃
👃 Skin Concern: Pores 👃
My skin type is typically combo oily, but lately has been drier to the temperature fluctuations here in TX. My skin concern is the current dryness/dehydration I’m experiencing due to the weather, acne scars along the sides of my cheeks and pores along my cheeks and nose. . I was sent this product from Good Molecules to help with my acne and pores. The purpose of this product is to promote smooth, even skin and minimize the appearance of pores. It target pores, strengthens the skin barrier, and layers well under other skincare and makeup. . I’ve been using this serum for about a month now and have seen an improvement in my pores. They aren’t as dark/noticeable anymore! In the past week or so, my hormonal acne has flared up but that’s normal for me. Random breakouts that I would get haven’t been appearing as often. The pores along my cheeks and nose have also become not as noticeable. Usually products that claim to help prevent breakouts and targets pores usually dry my skin out and make it flake, but that hasn’t happened while using this serum. My face feels hydrated and not dry at all, plus it doesn’t leave behind a sticky feeling. The serum can be a little difficult to get out of the jar since it is thick and hard to pick up the dropper, but that doesn’t bother me. The scars on my cheeks have also been reduced and not as noticeable, giving my skin tone a more even and brighter look. I use it twice a day on my face, neck, and chest using about 2-3 drops for my face and 1-2 drops for my neck/chest area. I use my toner and then apply this and let it sit for a few minutes to make sure it’s absorbed, then go in with moisturizer. I really enjoy this product because it specifically target brightens the skin and helps improve the look of large pores, blemishes, and uneven skin tone and fullness.

𝙄 𝙆𝙉𝙊𝙒 𝙒𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙔𝙊𝙐’𝙍𝙀 𝙏𝙃𝙄𝙉𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂: Honey, it’s been a long quarantine year, but it most definitely ain’t April. True, but with a good skincare routine, your skin can defy the seasons and bloom like a flower in April. APRILSKIN promises: High performance gentle skin solutions. Is it true? Well the first good thing I can say about both: i did not break out and I did not experience any irritation on my skin using either. Note: **𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙖𝙣 𝘼𝙘𝙣𝙚-𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡** APRILSKIN - Real Calendula Peel Off Pack 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙂𝙊𝙊𝘿: 🌼Product goes on clear with dissolving calendula petals 🌼Product dries in 20-30 minutes 🌼 Extracted from 100% real Calendula Flower Petals 🌼 Orange Peel Oil clears up acne, reduces puffiness and redness (plus pore size) 🌼 Goes on smooth with the Aprilskin Jelly Brush 🌼 A lot more gentle than the average peel off mask 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘽𝘼𝘿: ⚡️The smell is the opposite of enticing: it’s strong and smells similar to alcohol (fades once it dries) ⚡️It feels tight after it dries ⚡️ Dry skin? This will only make it more dry ⚡️ It only appears to take off surface oil and dirt, not going deep enough though it claims to penetrate (my skin does feel clean afterwards though) APRILSKIN - Real Carrot Blemish Clear Serum 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙂𝙊𝙊𝘿: 🥕 non-commodigenic! 🥕It brightened and soothes my skin 🥕 It sinks into my skin pretty fast about 3minutes 🥕Contains Hyaluranic Acid and Niacinimade 🥕Faded some of my Hyperpigmentation and acne scars 🥕glides on like silk 🥕Helps with Milia 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘽𝘼𝘿: ⚡️The smell again... not bad but kind of like organic soil in the garden section ⚡️The texture is light, slide-y with a milky white color but before settling has a sticky kind of residue ⚡️ Says that it soothes but contains some essential oil ingredients that could cause irritation **I am happily on my second bottle of calendula peel off mask but I more than likely will not be buying another bottle of carrot serum

TLC Framboos: worth it?
TLC Framboos: worth it?
Is DE’s $90 exfoliating serum worth it? To lots of people—yes! To me, no. This serum is pleasant to use: it has a smooth gel texture, it absorbs with minimal tackiness, and it tingles only slightly for me. I like that it has a blend of different acids to tackle multiple issues. However, it’s not my favorite exfoliant that I’ve tried, so I won’t be repurchasing. I just didn’t see dramatic improvements in either my acne or my PIE, which I was hoping it would help. My favorite exfoliant thus far is Dr. Dennis Gross’s extra strength alpha beta peel pads—they erase my dark spots like nothing else I’ve ever tried.

GAME CHANGER...
GAME CHANGER...
Urban SkinRX has change my life.. As you can see the before and after photos are bananas. My daily makeup consists of only my eyebrows. I've come a long way as you can see. It took me about 4 months to get these results. Dont get me wrong I change my products depending on what my skin needs and the season... but these group of products have given me a more even and radiant complexion. Skin type: Extremely Oily, Acne prone. Remember when starting a new routine the skin must purge all the oil, dead skin, and all the nasty stuff deep undeunderneath the skin.

Good Molecules Niacinamide Serum
Good Molecules Niacinamide Serum
The Good Molecules Niacinamide Serum was gifted to me by the brand but the opinions are my own. This serum is meant to smooth and even the skin, and reduce the appearance of pores. It also claims to have benefits to the skin barrier and helps keep skin hydrated. It is targeted toward all skin types, but especially those with large pores that they are looking to minimize. The texture is a watery serum that absorbs into the skin quickly. It doesn’t leave a sticky feeling like some niacinamide does. I think it feels soothing on the skin and has never caused any tingling for me. I was using this AM and PM for a few months now and have seen good results. The pores on my nose were noticeably smaller and seemed to become clogged less often. My skin never became dry from using this either. I use a few other products for evening skin tone so I’m not really sure if this had any effects on that. I also think it may have helped keep some acne at bay. The one thing about this serum is that it is just niacinamide. It does not contain zinc like many of the other niacinamide serums on the market. I personally don’t think zinc does anything for my skin so losing it wasn’t a big deal to me. I really had no issues with this product. The one downside is that niacinamide leaves such mild results so I wouldn’t buy this if you’re looking to be wowed by results. It does work, but it’s just not something you use once and think is amazing. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who is having issues with large pores and possibly acne. It’s really mild, has no fragrance and is just a bare bones serum which is perfect for sensitive skin. It can work on dry skin which is a benefit for me as many products make dry skin worse. This is $6 for 30ml so I think it is worth giving a try. If you are in the market for a new niacinamide, this would probably be the one I would try based on price and efficacy!GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum
