Is the Milk Hydro Grip Primer worth it? weartest

What are your thoughts on primers? Honestly for a long time I thought they were useless. They dried out my skin and caused terrible breakouts. Until I heard ALL THE HYPE about this primer and tried it out! This is my second travel bottle of Milk’s Hydro Grip Primer: Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer
I have pretty dry skin so my main goal throughout the day is to stay hydrated—I hate when my makeup clings to and accentuates my dry spots. So let’s do a wear test, shall we?! Application—8:30 AM: Today is a work day so I’m up and I’m just doing my usual—spot concealing my acne scars and any current redness or breakouts with my holy grail concealer which is Milk’s Flex concealer formula: Milk MAKEUP - Flex Concealer. I am working with the general public still so my face will be covered by a mask, so I’m only concealing—no blush or bronzer or foundation. I dot the concealer on the areas of my face I want it to cover the most and let it sit for a few minutes, then stipple blend it out with a dense foundation brush. The primer is STICKY so the concealer on that side has a little more coverage. You can see in the photo I still have texture, which I wasn’t trying to avoid anyway, but no dry spots! Yay! Note my little pimple on my smile line on the primer side, which is MY LEFT (your right :)). External forces: I still have to leave my house to go to work nowadays, so I have to wear a mask over my face—this subjects my skin to friction. Even more of a test for the primer 😉 but luckily my masks are not uncomfortable so I don’t mind! I don’t feel itchy or irritated on my primer side during the whole day. I don’t feel terribly irritated on my non-primed side either, but I can see the concealer starting to flake off on my cheeks. Wear test complete—4:30 PM: I get home from work to asses the damage. Face mask indents aside, my smile line pimple looks COVERED still! The places where my mask was rubbing have less coverage, but the side that wasn’t primed is definitely more red. My goal was to stop dryness but it helped longevity wise too! Final thoughts: I love this primer omg! If you are a normal to dry skin type with dry acne spots this keeps your skin hydrated and flake/crepe free. It also has a slight cooling sensation due to its cool gel formula and texture. I would recommend trying a mini or getting a sample before purchasing, as always. Rating: 5/5. This is one of the only face primers I care to use that I trust!

This Is The End Friend - Chucky
So excited to be showing this spooky Halloween Look that I did! Chucky is obviously a classic and definitely frightened me as a kid, take this as me reclaiming that fear lol. I made my own scar wax to do this, followed a video online where all you’d need is flour and Vaseline. I’ll be honest it’s a tedious process but the end result as you can see is worth it. I felt perfectly creepy in this, if I’m being honest it came out way better than I hoped. Sfx Makeup is an area that I would love to get better at, and I’m glad to see growth in this look. I bought fake blood and liquid latex from Walmart, I don’t have a full sfx kit yet. But I did also use Milk Makeup products for my base, and if you follow me on here you definitely know how much I love the Milk brand. My 10 minute makeup routine 😘✨
Hi friends, this is the makeup routine I do when I’m in a pinch! No foundation makes for a more natural glow “my skin but better” feel. I don’t mind my acne showing through since acne is normal ✨ My skin tone is fair, and my skin type is sensitive/combination dry with rosacea & it is acne prone. Here’s my 10 minute routine: e.l.f. - Wow Brow Gel this brow gel is my favorite! It’s $4 at Ulta and the gel isn’t too thick but keeps my brow hairs in place all day and gives them an extra “oomph.” 5/5 vegan & cruelty free! I use the shade “brunette.” Milk MAKEUP - Flex Concealer my favorite go-to for evening out my skin tone. I use the shade “fair.” I dot it all around my red spots and any inflamed spots and let it sit for a few mins before blending it out. It’s not too drying, more of a satin finish. Available at Sephora. 5/5 Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush this is a mini I have of the matte blush formula in “grace.” I would much prefer to try the dewy formula—this one blends out kind of patchy if you don’t work fast. Regardless, the smallest amount gives you awesome color payoff and this mini will last me forever. Available at Sephora. 4/5 BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter this is my all time favorite liquid highlighter. I literally use the smallest amount on my ring and middle fingers and dab it out all over my upper cheekbones over my blush as well as on the bridge of my nose. I’ve had this mini for a long time and highly recommend it! Available at Ulta. 5/5 tarte - LIT Chrome Paint Highlighter this is such a good eyeshadow in a pinch. Shade “bronzed.” I take the smallest amount on the tip of my middle finger and apply and blend it all over my lid and crease. Super easy look! Available at Sephora. 5/5 FENTY BEAUTY - Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara a secret hero! I’m using the new merlot shade, I really want them to come out with a brown shade. It gives me more length and volume and doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes. Available at Sephora. 5/5 URBAN DECAY - Perversion Waterproof Fine-Point Eye Pen super easy brush-tip eyeliner pen. A bit expensive, plus it mush be shaken up before using or it applies washy. I usually just apply a super small outer wing to extend my lashes. Doesn’t irritate my eyes. Available at Ulta. 5/5 essence - Soft Contouring Lipliner my all time favorite! This lip liner is $2 at Ulta. I apply it all over my upper lips and around my bottom lips. Not drying! 5/5 FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer last but not least. The classic Fenty Glow gloss bomb. Shade “Fenty glow” the perfect glossy luminizer! Not goopy, and tastes great. Doesn’t last super long but is still a hit. Available at Sephora. 5/5 See any faves? #Cherie Partner

Must-Have Products from Sephora and Ulta 🌟
We all have some beauty products that become hard to go without once we’ve tried them! Some of my beauty staples include skincare products to prep my skin and a high-hold hairspray so my hairstyle lasts all day. Here are my favorite products from Sephora and Ulta! Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer This is my go-to primer when I want my makeup to last all day long! It hydrates my skin without turning my face into an oil slick, and it has a slightly tacky feel that grips onto my foundation, just like it says. FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation I prefer the hydrating formula of the Fenty Foundation over the original formula, which I thought was too matte for me, even with my oily/combo skin. This foundation blends out really nicely to a natural-looking satin finish, and I can easily layer setting powder over it without making my base look cakey or patchy. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution This chemical exfoliant is a cult classic for a reason: It’s effective, looks cool, and costs less than $8! I love using it on Sunday nights as a weekly reset for my face. If you follow the instructions (leave on for 10 minutes and don’t use it more than twice a week), you’ll have baby soft skin without damaging your moisture barrier in no time. REDKEN - Triple Pure 32 Neutral Fragrance Hairspray It’s almost impossible for my hair to hold a curl without some kind of product. I love this hairspray because it sets my hair but doesn’t leave it feeling solid or crunchy. The mist is really fine so it disperses through my hair evenly without leaving some parts clumped with product and some parts untouched, which is one of my biggest pet peeves with hairspray. I highly recommend this to anyone who has trouble making their styled hair last more than an hour! TIGI - A Wave We Go Adjustable Deep Waver I love this hair waver because it’s incredibly easy to use. With this, I can wave my lob in literally 10 minutes! You can adjust the depth of the wave too, so you can have anything between a subtle beach wave or some really wild waves. What are your favorite products from Sephora and Ulta?

Don’t Know How to Choose Maybelline Concealer?
Don’t Know How to Choose Maybelline Concealer?
Don’t Know How to Choose Maybelline Concealer? Here Is the Review for You! Hey my gals, you must have seen these two concealers from Maybelline in every drugstore orsupermarket. We love it because of many reasons! You know, I'm an acne prone skin. I swear you cannot imagine what my pimples, blackheads andacnes I'm enduring. I hope every beauty would leave far away from this annoying problem. As a student who doesn't want to spend much time browsing the Internet to find a good concealer. I choose to just walk into a drugstore and pick two concealers from our common knowing Maybelline brand. I have to tell you that these two concealers are different in many aspects. (But both of them are affordable! ) Maybelline Fit Me Concealer This is the thin one. As you can see, it is medium to high coverage. I used an eyeliner to test it's coverage. It claims to oil-free concealers conceal redness, flaws, and blemishes. And it's an non-comedogenic concealer. Fragrance-free. I'm the best person to say it never caused me any more breakouts which surprised me a lot. But it's not so hydrated as it claims. I will not us it under my eyes. It's too dry which will lead to clumpy. Maybelline Eraser This is the big one with a sponge applicator. I like it, it's not dry, not pricy of course and easy to use. But I have to notice you that the applicator is easy to become dirty. This concealer is light coverage. It can be used as foundation with suitable shade. And it do really have various shades. I cannot live without this concealer because i tend to get dry patches in this season. This eraser clams my dry patches and give me appropriate coverage.

Worth it? CC cream for dry, acne prone skin❣️
Worth it? CC cream for dry, acne prone skin❣️
If you have acne and have tried numerous acne products, you know that acne products are usually drying! I used to have SUPER oily skin, but after accutane, my skin is now dry/combo. Right now my skin is calmer and stopped flaking due to my new skincare routine, but before, my skin was peeling...BAD! But I still had acne, so I wanted to cover it up! But I’d put foundation, CC creams, BB creams, or even just tinted hydrators on my skin and it’d clump up and peel off! Then, a couple of months ago (when my skin was still super dry) I saw the hey HONEY Trick And Treat CC Cream on Ulta and had to try it after seeing all the good reviews! While the product is not perfect, it definitely does the trick for me! (3rd pic is BEFORE the cream and 4th pic is AFTER) I usually use a hydrating primer, concealer, and a beauty blender to apply this cream, but today I just used the cream and my hand to show how the product looks on its own! Pros: doesn’t leave my skin dry but also doesn’t leave my skin feeling super oily either. It feels matte, yet I look dewy! easy to apply, use your hands or a sponge for light coverage and use a brush for more coverage has honey for hydration and propolis for anti-bacterial properties (so it doesn’t break me out!) as you can tell from my pictures, this does NOT offer full coverage! BUT it’s a CC cream, so it’s not supposed to! It does a good job of making my acne marks (PIE) less noticeable with a natural finish! it’s cruelty free!! Cons: only comes in 4 colors! That’s a huge downside for most people. Lucky for me, I have fair skin and the light blends in perfectly for me. I’d imagine you could mix a darker toner with some moisturizer to dilute the color if you want to custom make your own tone. the price tag is $38. For me, I don’t tend to spend more than $15 on cc or bb creams, but I feel as though this is worth it as you only need a little so it’ll last long. You can also get it from Ulta, which has sales and coupons a lot. you need setting powder if you want it to last all day. While it doesn’t look bad at the end of the day, you can see it settling into your skin a bit. Overall, I’d say this is a great CC cream! It does exactly what it says it will. Does it make my skin look flawless? No, but my skin still has a lot of acne marks, which are hard to cover, so I use concealer for that. If you want full coverage, go for a foundation. However, if you want a natural finish that won’t leave your skin dry and peeling or as oily as pizza, then go for this! It’s also great if you want to hide redness from acne without clogging your pores with foundation. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It's BB Cream Season!
It's BB Cream Season!
Let's be honest... nobody wants to wear full coverage out in the sun when it's 90 degrees! Especially if you have oily skin, wearing a heavy foundation can feel gross and look gross. This BB cream from covergirl has six shades (mine is shade light/medium) and definitely has decent coverage while feeling lightweight and leaving the skin flawless! By the way, tip-apply bb cream with a brush not a sponge. It's not supposed to be full coverage. Some perks it has is that it's: -Oil Free -Won't clog pores -Suitable for sensitive skin -Lasts all day I've tested this product out on several occasions and all though it looks fabulous, sometimes I find it hard to blend because of streaks and it also causes my skin to breakout. Although this product claims to be suitable for sensitive skin, it didn't seem to work out. This Bb creme also doesn't contain any SPF but makes up for it with its cheap price of only $10.00 Drop your BB creme recommendations down below!!!💕💕

bareMinerals Original Powder Foundation
bareMinerals Original Powder Foundation
I grew up with acne-prone skin, so I was always on the hunt for a healthy, soothing foundation that would cover breakouts without causing more to pop up! And thankfully, I found the bareMinerals Original Powder Foundation after a long and exhausting search (and I’m never going back). An Incredible Formula for Sensitive Skin I’ve been using the bareMinerals Original Powder Foundation for nearly ten years, and I can say with confidence that I will use it for at least ten more. The ingredient list is a whopping six words long, which is impressive considering that many other foundation products are ridden with chemicals and fillers that do your skin more harm than good. If you’re looking for a pure, effective foundation that’s gentle on your skin, then you should consider adding the bareMinerals Original Powder Foundation to your everyday makeup routine. Its light, pigmented formula provides beautiful, buildable coverage that looks incredibly natural and healthy. I always joke that this foundation feels like my “second skin”---it’s nearly undetectable, and sometimes I forget that I’m wearing face makeup at all. The bareMinerals line also boasts an incredible shade range, so you’ll have no problem finding one that matches your skin tone. I use the shade “Medium C25.” On top of that, it’s formulated with SPF 15. So, if you’re like me and always forget to apply sunscreen, this foundation will save your skin from sun damage. Talk about the perfect all-in-one product! How I Apply It I’ve heard many people say that they don’t like mineral foundation because it doesn’t provide enough coverage. However, I beg to differ---the bareMinerals powder foundation gives me flawless, full coverage, but there is a specific way in which I apply it. Using a dense face brush (I find that kabuki brush or a flat, dense brush work best), I buff the powder into my face in circular motions. I concentrate on my cheek area first, then I move to my forehead, and finish by blending it down onto my neck. If I want more coverage, I repeat this cycle and build the color in my problem areas. Here’s a closeup of the brush I use. You can see that the hairs are very dense and stiff, which allows me to buff the powder into my skin and achieve an airbrushed look. If you use a flimsy brush (such as a blush brush or an all-over complexion brush), you won’t be able to concentrate the color and achieve the coverage you desire. So yes! Full coverage is possible with powder foundation---you just have to use this technique to achieve it. Do I Recommend It? ABSOLUTELY! The bareMinerals Original Powder Foundation is extremely gentle on my skin and provides breathable, airbrushed coverage. It doesn’t feel heavy on my skin at all, and it gives me a beautiful, natural complexion.

Covergirl Skin Milk Foundation
Covergirl Skin Milk Foundation
COVERGIRL - Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation I know a lot of people got this for PR but I bought this with my own money because I saw it came out and I’ve been using other versions of covergirl foundation for literally years. This is a very very very dewy foundation so I would not recommend for oily skin unless you’re into looking extremely dewy. For my dry skin, it feels so thin and non drying, while giving a totally naturally dewy finish. I personally really enjoy how natural it looks. It doesn’t build at all so if you want heavy coverage this is not it. Best suited for a casual type look. Once again, this didn’t break me out (but CG has never done me wrong here so I was feeling pretty confident). I didn’t notice any smell when I used it so I don’t think they’ve used fragrance in this which I like. Biggest downside is that it does have a tendency to rub off at the slightest touch and as a result doesn’t last that long once it’s on. I’d give it a decent few hours but it is not a longwear foundation by any means. Would I recommend? Yes if you’re looking for a super affordable, easy to pick up, dewy finish foundation. Would recommend for acne prone, dry skin like mine for sure.

The Ordinary serum foundation
The Ordinary serum foundation
I love The Ordinary for their no-nonsense formulations and unbeatable prices. I had held off on trying their foundations for a while because I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get the right shade just by looking at swatches online, but when I was able to visit their store in Toronto a few months back, I picked up one of their serum foundations. Overall, I think it’s a great formula for the price. This is the lighter of the two coverage options, but it covered more than I anticipated. I was also pleasantly surprised that this did not break me out—it contains some coconut derivatives that evidently don’t agree with everyone’s skin, and I’m acne prone. But nope, I did not notice this affecting my acne at all, and it covered like a dream while giving me a natural, skin-like finish. Sadly, even though I bought it in person, the color ended up oxidizing on me and thus looking too dark. This could be remedied by just buying a lighter shade, but it was still disappointing. I also found that it tended to cake slightly around my mouth by the end of the day. I’ve put this product aside for now, as my skin has been doing well and I don’t need this much coverage anyway. Overall, I think this is a good pick for the very low price (around $6!). Be warned that you may need to get a lighter shade than normal due to oxidation, though. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a light to medium-coverage foundation on a budget.
