New Skincare Routine!
I started the classic skincare routine made of CeraVe and The Ordinary. As a black female with dryish combination skin and trust issues, this purchase was risky. Now, i did my research. I saw which products would be good for my skin type, asked friends, read various reviews, and even took the extra precaution of making sure none of the ingredients were super similar to the ones that usually break my skin out. This is the routine i’m testing: Morning (Serum): The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Night (Toner, Serum, Mask): The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Both (Cleanser, Moisturizer, Serum): CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin CeraVe - CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG I’ll make weekly updates on how it works for my skin! I have confidence that it’ll show good results and that it’ll make my skin glowy and perfect. Wish me luck fellow skincare lovers!

My Skincare Story
Hi! I’m rein, i’m new and this is my skincare story! As a young kid, i’ve always been obsessed with skincare. My skin was always the ‘demonstration’ skin for all the people around me of what their skin should look like. I have a normal combination skin type and usually i would be invincible to any type of acne but that changed over quarantine. I’ve been stressed, overheating, and probably not on the best diet at home so a few days ago, i decided to pick up a routine. This is my current routine: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Cleanser e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream Clean&Clear - Persa-Gel 10 Acne Medication Spot Treatment N°7 - Beautiful Skin Day Cream for Normal/Oily Skin and i might just be impatient but my acne has has halfway-to-almost disappeared. Although, i have an area (my bottom right cheek to my bottom right chin) where there are bumps. A lot of small bumps, like goosebumps that never go away. Also, i’m trying oil cleansing today and this app has brought me to this one specific project that i think might better my life. The product: The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA I need advice, opinions, and a bit of knowledge 😌

Back Acne: How To Get Rid Of It
Unfortunately, pesky pimples can pop up anywhere on your body at any age—including your back. Back acne, or bacne as it’s more commonly referred to, can be debilitating and embarrassing but the experts are sharing how to get rid of bacne once and for all so you can feel fresh and confident.
This Is Why I Hate The Hype..
Being on social media such as Instagram and Snapchat means being faced with a hundred-n-1 advertisements for a wide range of products varying from clothes, to jewelry, to even skincare. I am sure everyone of us on there has seen an ad for Curology. At first, I couldn’t be bothered to stop and read about it, but over time, and after seeing SO. MANY. sponsored posts, I was drawn to it. I had to see for myself what the hype was all about, and if it could cure my acne. Eventually, about two months ago, I caved. As Curology - Curology formula is an online business, I had to answer their mini quiz online, post pictures of my skin to them, and wait for the delivery of the “holy grail” that it was marketed to be. Before caving, I did do my research and read that it helped most people if they waited patiently for the results. So, when the product finally arrived with ingredients tailored “perfectly” for my skin (Clindamycin 1%, Azelaic Acid 4%, and Zinc Pyrithione 0.25%), I was beyond excited! The packaging was really aesthetic and minimalist, which I thought was a pro. The product itself is cream-based and thin/light, which I liked on my skin. The best part is that it cost me $5 for that first bottle! I started that very night, and I was sure that I would wake up with picture perfect skin, although that was quite optimistic on my part. Needless to say, this was not the case the next morning, but I figured it would take consistent usage and some time to get me to my desired end result. So, I waited and waited, then I waited some more. My skin, after 1.5 months of using, had NOT reached what Curology had promised. In fact, the texture of my skin was a worse than before, and it was drying out! Even more, the product in the bottles is so little, and I had to reorder the product within the 1.5-month timeframe despite the fact that it was meant to last 2 months, so I ended up spending more (it costs $40 for two months after the initial $5)! I finally decided to stop using it, very dissatisfied. I guess I won’t be swayed so easily anymore.
Black Light Fun 🤯
Just a bit of black light fun with my Instagram nails. Ive been getting my nails done at this little place called Professional Nails (11 N Summit Ave STE. A, Gaithersburg, MD 20877) and they have been doing a phenomenal job. I absolutely adore my nail tech Jason and he has done a fantastic job in creating any look I bring him or come up with on my own. The whole staff is amazing and does amazing work! I can’t wait to go back again for my SnapChat and Facebook Nail design I came up with. I may just come up with a Cherie nail design for him to do on my nails! Stay tuned for that lol 😝!

hello white teeth!!
Want whiter teeth, but don’t want to use whitening strips?? This is for you!! I found this product while looking for a way to whiten my teeth without a bunch of chemicals- spoiler alert!!- it worked! Claims: whitens teeth and helps remove plaque My thoughts: After using this product for 4 months my teeth look so much whiter!! (Way more white than I had ever gotten through a Colgate toothpaste) If you are looking for WHITE teeth, this won’t get you there, but will definitely help your teeth look way cleaner. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to whiten up their teeth as naturally as possible!

A fenty gloss bomb dupe! ✨✨
Guys! Gals! We’ve got a dupe! I recently purchased the MAYBELLINE - Lifter Gloss With Hyaluronic Acid from target. I was seeing really good reviews for this gloss so I purchased the shade Topaz as it looked the closest to my favorite gloss FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fenty Glow. It’s an incredible dupe for the gloss bomb. The shades are almost identical. The main differences between the two is that the fenty gloss definitely has a thicker consistency than the maybelline gloss, which is thinner and more viscous. However, my lips never feel sticky and I haven’t gotten that weird white line while wearing the maybelline gloss that I’ve experienced with other glosses. (In the swatch video, fenty is on the left and maybelline is on the right) Fenty gloss is $19.00 at Sephora Maybelline gloss is $6.99 at target
