💊Hydrating Niacinamide Serum💊
Awake - Glow Pill I started using this around June after I got it in an Ipsy bag. That was the beginning of my skin care journey + my budget was tight so I decided to use this since it’s rich in Niacinamide + hyaluronic acid. Ingredients Water/Aqua/Eau, niacinamide, propanediol, glycerin, glycereth-26, 1,2-hexanediol, panthenol, C12-14 pareth-12, carbomer, caprylyl glycol, betaine, trehalose, ethylhexylglycerin, acetyl glucosamine, sodium hyaluronate, disodium EDTA, xylitol, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed sodium hyaluronate, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer, hydroxypropyltrimonium hyaluronate, hydrolyzed glycosaminoglycans, benzyl glycol, tocopherol, hyaluronic acid, raspberry ketone They don’t share the concentration of Niacinamide, but it is listed second so one can assume it will give the benefits one usually sees from Niacinamide. There’s also hydrating ingredients like propanediol glycerin panthenol 4 (maybe 5, can’t tell lol) different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid to penetrate and hydrate at different levels within the skin barrier AND it’s FRAGRANCE-FREE! ✨ 🙋♀️My opinion after using an entire bottle🙋♀️ Awake - Glow Pill So I had kind of high expectations because the ingredients list seemed pretty solid to me. I definitely enjoyed this serum a lot. I applied it on damp skin after cleansing +/or toning. The packaging is really cute ❤️ The texture is super lightweight, a little thicker than water. It doesn’t sting upon application & soaks in well. It is hydrating but Not to the point where I could never use it as a moisturizer (which the brand recommends for oily skin🤯) Results? My skin texture has improved over the past 4 months, but that could also be due to my other skin care products. I don’t think this serum did a whole lot for me. It was something I had & it didn’t cause a negative reaction (TY fragrance-free🙌.) so I guess might as well finish it. I think there are definitely more hydrating serums out there as well as stronger Niacinamide serums that can provide more improvements with skin texture, pores + hydration. If you can grasp it cheap through Etsy or boxy charm I’d say it’s worth a try, but I’m not the most impressed 🙍♀️If it wasn’t $39, I would probably repurchase. Photo credit, Ipsy. I do not own this photo. My camera on my phone broke
💫 layering is essential 💫
One of my biggest tricks for glowing, dewy, clear, hydrated skin is to layer my products. I love to pile on the serums in a way that I can get the most benefit. It’s important to use base serums that have a higher water content so that anything you put on top will have a chance to be absorbed. This glow pill serum is the second step in my skin care routine. After my toner or rose water, which has the highest water content, I love to use this serum. Then follows the thicker serums and the creams and finally the oils. Pro-tip: oils always go last. Anything placed over an oil will not absorb properly, if at all. Always layer from most watery to creams to oils. If you do this, you can reap the benefits of multiple products. This is how you get a dewy, perfect glow ❤️
Sunscreen PT2 : proper application
For me this year has been a year of bare faced and skincare focused. It is rare for me to put on a full face of make up nowadays; I mean I’m not going anywhere other the grocery stores in my pjs so... I have no reason to get dolled up. So now more than ever I been focusing on sun protection— the last and most forgotten step of the the skin care routine. According to the American Academy of Dermalogy theses are some best practices to properly apply sunscreen: ✅Use a sunscreen that has an SPF of 30 or higher, water resistant, and provides broad-spectrum coverage, which means it protects you from UVA and UVB rays. ✅Apply sunscreen 15 minutes before going outdoors. This is approximately the time it takes for your skin to absorb the sunscreen and protect you. ✅Apply enough sunscreen. Most adults need about 1 ounce to fully cover their bod; approximately 1 shot glass. Apply sunscreen to all skin not covered by clothing—Remember your neck, face, ears, tops of your feet and legs. For hard‐to‐reach areas ask for help or use aerosol/ spray sunscreen. For thinning hair, apply sunscreen to your scalp or wear a hat. To protect your lips, apply a lip balm with a SPF of at least 15. ✅Reapply every two hours, or immediately after swimming or sweating. For make up wearer use a make up setting/ refreshing pray like COOLA - COOLA Makeup Setting Spray Organic Sunscreen SPF 30 Clean product: 🌱No Parabens 🌱No Alcohol 🌱No Sulfates 🌱No Nuts 🌱No Oils 🌱No Silicones 🐰 Cruelty Free 🐰 Vegan Some other setting spray with sun protection to check out: MILANI - Make It Last Sunscreen Setting Spray SPF 30 Supergoop! - Defense Refresh (Re)setting Mist SPF 40 Kate Somerville - UncompliKated SPF 50 Soft Focus Makeup Setting Spray All products are 🐰 cruelty free Please share any other best practices or sun care items that I should try below. Thank you! Be Kind, Stay Beautiful
Sunscreen: SPF and PA+++ PT.1
What’s what: SPF, Broad Spectrum, and PA ☀️SPF (sun protection factor) measure how long sunscreen will protect you from UVB rays — cause damages to the the epidermis, skin’s outer layers. According to the Australian Academy of Science “the number beside it indicates how well the sunscreen protects skin against sunburn— It is not an indicator of how long you can stay out in the sun, rather, it indicates how much longer it takes untanned skin to start to redden with sunscreen applied compared to how long it takes to start reddening without it.” SPF number is determined “by the number of seconds it takes a patch of skin to slightly redden when covered in sunscreen is divided by the number of seconds it takes to slightly redden when there is no sunscreen applied.” For example, if it took 300 seconds for skin to burn with sunscreen, and 10 seconds to burn without it. 300 divided by 10 and the SPF is 30. ☀️Broad Spectrum means the sunscreen can protect you from the sun’s harmful ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) rays. According to the FDA Broad Spectrum products can an protect your skin and helps prevent skin cancer, pre mature signs of aging —age spots, wrinkles, and sagging skin— and sunburn. Main take away: SPF protects your skin from burning where as Broad Spectrum protects your skin from cancer. From what I’ve read in order for a product to have “broad spectrum” claim it needs to be approved by the FDA. ☀️PA is short for Protection Grade of UVA, and protects the skin from (only) UVA rays. The pluses indicate the level of protection available; the higher the pluses, the higher the protection. The rating system is as follows: PA+ = Some UVA protection PA++ = Moderate UVA protection PA+++ = High UVA protection PA++++ = Extremely High UVA protection Stay tune for PT.2 for How to properly apply sunscreen. MISSHA - All Around Safe Block Soft Finish Sun Milk SPF50+/PA+++ I love this sunscreen! It applies smooth on the skin and doesn’t leave a white residue. Like the name it leave my skin smooth, and has an iridescent base for my make up. COOLA - Mineral Face SPF30 Matte Cucumber I mainly use this when I known I’ll be outside or by the pool and not wearing make up. I gave it four stars because it does leave a white cast and it pills... idk why it just does. COOLA - COOLA Makeup Setting Spray Organic Sunscreen SPF 30 This makes it so easy to reapply your sunscreen when you’re wearing a full face of make up. The only thing is it smells like alcohol which led me to believe it has a lot of alcohol— but I’m not sure. 🐰cruelty free Please let me know if there are other SPF/ Sunscreen that I should try below! Thank you. Be Kind, Stay Beautiful

FULL Gentle Hydrating Skincare Routine
This has kind of been the theme of my entire Cherie page since its creation, but I’ve been needing to really hydrate my skin more since the weather’s become colder. Having rosacea means I always need to do extra research on the products I try. So after some experimenting, trying a LOT of new products, and deciding to stick to some old favorites, this is the routine I’ve come up with for myself: AM Routine Cleanser - The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm: A recent switch for the winter from Cosrx Good Morning Gel. I’ve never used a balm before and I have to say, I really like it. It does an excellent job of cleansing away any dirt or excess oils but leaves my skin feeling incredibly nourished. Toner - FAB Wild Oat Ultra Hydrating Toner: Another recent switch. This toner is so hydrating that I don’t need to use hydrating masks or overnight creams as frequently as I used to and it’s very calming. Serum - Peach & Lily’s Glass Skin Refining Serum: This is definitely worth the hype. My skin has been noticeably smooth since using it. Spot Treatment - TULA Go Away Acne: Uses benzoyl peroxide to work on acne which can interfere with rosacea, so I don’t use this on my cheeks but it works well in other areas. Not a repurchase for me. Eye Cream - Cetaphil Deep Hydration Refreshing Eye Serum: I said recently that eye cream doesn’t work for me, but I’m starting to get wrinkles under my eyes and thought it was important to kick up the hydration and attention. This one is quite gentle and pretty affordable. Moisturizer - CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion: Undefeated! If I need some extra hydration I’ll add a couple drops of Leo Oil and mix on my hand using my ring finger. Sunscreen - EltaMD SPF 46 on days with no makeup or ILIA Serum Skin Tint: Both are mineral sunscreens and unscented with protection in the 40s. PM Routine Cleanser - The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm: ...and I’ll double cleanse with my old Cosrx Good Morning Gel if I wore makeup that day. Toner - FAB Wild Oat Ultra Hydrating Toner Serum - Paula’s Choice CALM 1% BHA Lotion Exfoliant or 10% Azelaic Acid Booster: I like to alternate between these two serums. The BHA (salicylic acid) targets pores and redness. The Azelaic Acid Boost contains salicylic acid too, but is more effective at targeting rosacea specifically. Eye Cream - Veriphy 20/20 Eye Cream: Received this as a gift and I actually really like it! Contains ingredients like peptides, niacinamide, and cucumber extract. But it’s wildly expensive and I won’t be able to repurchase. Moisturizer - CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion + Astrologiens Leo Oil: At night I always combine these two if I’m not using my Naturium Sleeping Cream (2 pumps + 2 drops). I have individual reviews on a number of these products, so if you’re interested in learning more about something feel free to check those posts out or just ask a question here :) Most of these products are generally rosacea and sensitive skin safe. I have type 1 rosacea for reference.
Please Help !!
Hi ! I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this is ? I’ve never really dealt with this before, the only time i get acne is the week before, the week of, and the week after I get my period, but this has not gone away at all. I haven’t done anything different with my usual routine, please let me know if there’s anything I should add or change. I have sensitive/dry skin. THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane *Please do not recommend Cerave Hydrating Cleanser or Cerave Renewing SA Cleanser, they both burned and irritated my skin.

Gel face wash for the win!
HERBIVORE - Pink Cloud Rosewater + Tremella Creamy Jelly Cleanser I read recently that gel cleansers are recommended if you seem to be having excess oil on your face. The face wash I was using prior seemed to be stripping my face of oils, which I like initially because I believed it was making my pores smaller, but tbh it was causing over production of oils and more acne. After using this jelly cleanser for the last month I can say I am satisfied. The face wash comes in a lux glass bottle, but the pump tends to give me too much at once. The face wash foams up slightly. My favorite part is just how damn soft it leaves my face feeling. Like wow! Not stripping at all. I feel more balanced using this, but am curious to try other gel cleansers out there when I’m finished with this.
My Picks: Cleansers Based On Your Skin Type
I'm not a estitician or dermatologist but my skin has been through it all. Cleansing is our first step in a skincare routine so what cleanser do with start with??!!! My skin has changed a lot recently and has gone from oily to combination. Now that it's cold my skin is more dry. I have listed my favorite cleansers based on skin type. I have tried all these face washes at some point in my life and these are my recommendations based on how my skin was feeling at the time and their ingredients. Have you used any of these cleansers?? What favorites would you add to these categories?? YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Cleanser Refill HERBIVORE - Pink Cloud Rosewater + Tremella Creamy Jelly Cleanser Kate Somerville - DeliKate Soothing Cleanser BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Elderberry Jelly Cleanser #cheriecreator

Winter fav with FAB🥶
First, follow me for more content like this 💖😘 So if you’ve been following me or happen to see my posts you know I’ve been obsessed with First Aid Beauty lately. Their products have come in super clutch this winter for me because of the amazing hydration I get. So let’s talk about the Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer. It’s a light weight moisturizer formulated with meadow foam seed oil, Shea butter, colloidal oatmeal and avocado oil to make the skin extremely soft and smooth. It also helps reinforce the skins barrier. It gives you kind of a velvet, blur finish. I literally lather this one (you don’t have to I just love it so much). it comes in a 1.7 oz tube and it had a pump. It’s also $26. It doesn’t feel sticky and i feel hydrated all day. My face feels so protected from the cold weather. This is the most important product in my routine right now. If you get a chance please try this this winter. I promise it’ll make your face feel so good and hydrated. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer
hi I struggle with acne and lately (last month or so) it’s been getting a LOT worse but I’m not sure why. I have combination skin and used to only have acne on my chin area and forehead. I would appreciate if there are any products you guys recommend :) thanks a lot <33 night routine: CeraVe - Salicylic Acid Facial Cleanser Aveeno - Moisturizing Lotion FARMACY - Deep Sweep(sometimes) morning routine: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Face Moisturizer Bioré - Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen SPF50+
MY MOST USED “NO FAIL” AM ROUTINE
The products you see have been products I’ve been using time and again for two years, around the time I got serious about my skincare life. These steps I never skip although I have added others or tried different brands. I will say again that I have used a more expensive version of Hyaluronic Acid and while it truly felt soft and comforting to my face, I don’t feel this is where my high dollars need to be spent. INDIE LEE - Brightening Cleanser best cleanser around! You can even leave it on longer and use it as a mask! This helps target dull, uneven textures, dark spots and pores. It’s a gel like texture. I am all about products that brighten my skin. INDIE LEE - CoQ-10 Toner next up is to tone and what better with one that will hydrate, soothe and protect your skin with the antioxidant coenzyme Q10 and Hyaluronic Acic! Plump that face up! I like to splash just a few drops of water on my face first then come in with Co-10. All we can do to help seal that hydration 💦 THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serum Then comes HA to really lock in that hydration. So may find it hard as people claim it can be “sticky” or “tacky” but I go right it after spraying my Co-Q10 and do a quick rub and then immediately tap it in. Then let it completely dry. If you don’t, you can have your following products pill, and believe me, that’s not fun! I believe everyone should have HA in their routine. There are so many variations out there at many different cost points but if you do your research and are comfortable using what works for you, go for it. Mine costs me $6.80 a month. I use it both am & pm. FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry depicted in the picture as the cute little 🍒 is VCB. I am currently out and my order is taking much longer than I’d like. But I have probably used almost 10 different brands of vitamin C (in comments) and I’ll still be goin back to Farmacy. I love the light scent and I had seen results pretty quickly, never any side effects. TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream I have a handful of creams I do adore and I could really probably spend less than dear ole Tatcha, but oh I do so love this cream. It just makes my face so happy. It’s a bit richer but my mother who has oily skin loves it! If I am hanging inside - tbh that’s 90% of my life - I do a light amount and then follow up about 10 mins later with sunscreen. Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 I do wear sunscreen indoors although I’m never near direct light. Life of a migrainer! 🤯but I figure one can’t aver be too careful. Plus I have ones open unfinished from the summer. But it is my stance that, yes, you should weat sunscreen indoors. It’s your best line of defense! Unseen Sunscreen makes me feel as if I have nothing on! My most used, never fail AM routine! ❤️ @cheriefam 🍒
Shop Sephora - Favorite Serums
I could go on and on with so many serums/treatments but I figured I’d cover just the basics. To me, personally, I feel a good skincare routine should have vitamin C & retinol in it. The retinol I use is from Medik8 - Crystal Retinal and hands down is the best I’ve ever tried. I also feel a routine needs Hyaluronic Acid in it and you can’t go wrong using Niacinamide either. First up I always apply a toner after washing and INDIE LEE - CoQ-10 Toner $34 has been my favorite since discovering it over a year ago. I love how hydrating it is. This just leaves my skin feeling calm and refreshed every time I use it. I always keep a mini in my purse which is wonderful during the hot summer months. 😰 THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serum $7.99 Hyaluronic Serum is always my next step. I want to keep my skin super hydrated and lock that hydration in! I’ve used a handful of HA, some on the pricey end and while I can feel a difference, I don’t feel this is where I need to spend a large amount of money on. I feel more money needs to go into the targeted areas of treatment (vitamin c and retinol). The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% $5.90 I skipped out on this for a few weeks after I had been using it for a full year and let me tell you, I could see a difference. My face just looked dull. And I had been doing everything else except keeping up with my Niacinamide. Once I added it back in my skin responded favorably. It can be a bit “soapy” so I have to just let it settle a bit before moving too quickly onto the next step. But I really find it essential in maintaining a balanced face. FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry $62 Ok, again, I have a personal beef with Farmacy but I gotta say I’ve tried a lot of vitamin C’s out there and this one has been the best. I’ve used three bottles and been out for awhile now and really miss it. I’ve been using Perricone MD - Vitamin C Ester Serum and am not impressed so far. Personally I love the light cherry scent of Farmacy. Perricone has little to no scent so that is always a plus too. But I really did see changes with Farmacy so I will most likely go back. If you have any questions about any products I have not listed that you are considering purchasing let me know. I have tried out a lot or may know someone to direct you to that can answer them. Also, I HIGHLY URGE YOU TO DO YOUR RESEARCH! Please don’t just purchase something based off what I use as it may not work for you. Put in the time to do some leg-work and research the product. Anytime I am considering purchasing a product I always check out a few sites for reviews (not just the brands as they are bias) and look into the ingredients. Cherie is one an amazing source! The reviews on products are growing by the day! Much love 😘🍒

It can be hard to find a toner that fits your skincare needs, so let me help you! I have recommendations for all skin types, but I personally believe that even if you have very oily skin your toner shouldn’t be stripping so all of these have hydrating properties. I have tried all of these toners and these are my favorites! GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner 🌼Oily and Combination Skin🌼 Because this toner has exfoliating acids in it, it is very beneficial for those with oily or combination skin. It can help those who struggle with acne and blackheads as well (no matter your skin type). It gently exfoliates the skin while still providing hydration. I love the thick texture and the scent the watermelon extract gives it. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner 🌸Dry, Combination, Normal, and Sensitive Skin🌸 This toner is AMAZING if you are looking for hydration. It has so many amazing ingredients including colloidal oatmeal which is actually considered an skin protectant by the FDA due to its effective soothing properties. Because of this it can be listed as an active ingredient. This toner has a watery but slightly thick consistency I really like. peach slices - Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner 🌼All Skin Types (Especially Dry)🌼 Out of all of these toners this is the one I think would work for pretty much everyone and is my personal favorite! It has acne fighting properties, it is SUPER hydrating (due to snail mucin being the first ingredient and addition of hyaluronic acid), there is no fragrance, and it sinks quickly into the skin. cocokind - Rosewater Facial Toner 🌸All Skin Types (Especially Combination)🌸 Rosewater toners are great for the skin. It is soothing, calms redness, and helps balance PH. This one in particular is my favorite. It uses one ingredient (rosewater) unlike other popular rosewater toners. If you have any tried any of these products or have any recommendations please let me know in the comments!
🍉Downsize those pores🍉Gentle PHA + BHA Toner
GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner Glow recipe gets a lot of hype! I mean a LOT! And yes I admit it I’ve jumped on the bandwagon 🙋♀️. But only after trying products and enjoying them and having good experiences. Yes their packaging is SO cute but what really matters is the ingredients, cause b***h they don’t lie! Ingredients: Opuntia Ficus-Indica (Cactus) Extract, Citrullus Lanatus (Watermelon) Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid, Gluconolactone, Sodium Polyglutamate, Betaine Salicylate, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Lactobacillus/Watermelon Fruit Ferment Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugarcane) Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Paeonia Suffruticosa Root Extract, Brassica Oleracea Capitata (Cabbage) Leaf Extract, Ipomoea Batatas Root Extract, Sorbitan Oleate, Levulinic Acid, Sodium Levulinate, Fragrance/Parfum ⭐️Key Ingredients⭐️ 🌵Cactus Water: being the first and most prevalent ingredient in the formula, this makes this toner not dry the s*** outta my face! Contains electrolytes and amino acids to help skin retain moisture. It also gives it that satisfying goopy gloppy texture. 🍉Watermelon Extract: Amino rich - hydrates, soothes, + improves appearance of fine lines + wrinkles 👩🔬Gluconolactone - a PHA - helps to resurface and smooth skin, while also removing buildup of dead skin cells. A very gentle gradual exfoliant that is great for sensitive skin types. 👩🔬BHAs - The formula includes 2 types of BHA: Willow Bark, a gentle, natural source of BHA, as well as sugarcane, birch, + royal azalea tree-derived Betaine Salicylate. One of the most effective ingredients for decongestant pores and reducing appearance of pores + blackheads. 💦Hyaluronic Acid - this helps deliver + lock in hydration so the formula is not drying or stripping to the skin This does contain less than 0.5% fragrance** 🍉My Experience🍉 I honestly love this product. I have been using the 40ml bottle (smaller one) since the begging of august and still have about 40% remaining. I use this am + pm because it’s gentle enough to do that for my skin (unless you’re using another strong exfoliating treatment or strong retinol). I have seen improvements in the texture of my skin + it has decongested my face a lot. Being someone that hasn’t taken care of their skin for, well, like 26 years out of my 27 year old life, there’s a lot of texture + gunk built up + work to be done. This is not a product that will fix your skin in a week, but I am confident that it is something I will keep in my skin care arsenal as it is good for my skin, it is a great preventative treatment to reduce the chances of pore buildup in the future. I am a strong believer in SLOW, consistent results over immediate results that can have negative consequences sometimes.
My quarantine skincare routine - simple and short. But mostly just trying to finish up products before buying anything new 🙃 My routine during this quarantine hasn’t gotten elaborate or anything it’s probably just gotten more simple bc I’ve completely stopped wearing makeup unless I try a bit on here and there. These are some products that I’ve been enjoying and going for a lot lately! ☁️@versed cleanser- this is a great everyday cleanser for any kind of skin! It’s gentle, effective, takes out all the dirt and makeup and feels good on the face when washing. Has a nice light minty smell too! ☁️@versed brightening toner- I have dulll skin die to my hyperpigmentation and acne scarring. This toner instantly gives me brighter loling skin with a glow. I use this almost daily! ☁️@dhcskinare - this is a great oil based cleanser to remove any impurities and makeup. I use this to get out all my makeup and it works great. Even for eyeliner and waterproof mascara. It’s gentle and leaves your skin feeling fresh and clean! ☁️@peachandlily glass skin serum - still continuing my daily use with this serum. The biggest difference in seeing with this serum at this point (3 weeks of use) is my pores look less visible and acne has calmed down ☁️@herbivorebotanicals pink cloud moisturizer - I’m almost out of this one.... but I’ve been using this one daily for the past month and it’s just a great everyday moisturizer for any kind of skin. It smells lovely too ☁️@ohiibeauty get fresh toner pad (brighten) - this was a random buy! These are great of your feeling too lazy to wash your face 🙋🏻♀️, for on-the-go, take to the gym etc. easy and convenient and they do a good job of cleaning and exfoliating your skin. Just use moisturizer after!

Pretty in Pink 💖
A roundup review of some pink products I’ve been using! ACURE - Seriously Soothing SPF 30 Day Cream This SPF moisturizer boasts niacinamide and blue tansy to sooth and even skin out in addition to being a moisturizing mineral SPF. I gotta say I’m not a huge fan of moisturizing SPFs in the first place but this one looked nice to me. It’s got a thin consistency coming out the tube but as you spread it on it’s pretty thick and heavy feeling. In about the middle of the ingredients list is coconut oil, a very occlusive and comedogenic oil, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who is oily or acne prone, but it hasn’t broken me out at least. It’s not my favorite SPF I’ve ever used, but if my skin is super dry or sensitive I’ll use this over my others. fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash I love this cleanser! I use it twice a week for some nice exfoliation. I’ve always preferred physical exfoliation over chemical (I know I’m in the minority here) and this one is super gentle! The sugar granules are small and dissolve pretty quickly, and the cleanser itself is a non-foaming jelly, plus it smells like a delicious strawberry smoothie. My skin doesn’t feel dry or tight at all after using it. I will definitely be purchasing the full size when I finish this! FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry This is the serum that changed my opinion about serums! I used to avoid them because I hated the sticky feeling they would leave on my skin, but my skin had been lackluster and I wanted to add a vitamin C to my routine. This serum is amazing y’all! It’s only 15% vitamin C derived from cherries, so it’s gentle and natural, plus it has 4 different derivatives of hyaluronic acid. It just smooths over my skin like butter, I love it, I use it as needed for extra hydration or if I just wanna feel extra glowy, plus it smells so good and sweet! I’m glad I took this plunge, I highly recommend it! ORIGINS - Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay I’ve only used this mask twice but so far it’s been really nice. I am a masker, always have been, and while clay masks aren’t really my go-to since I have dry skin, I’m glad I have just this one. It really tightens up my pores and my skin just feels sooo smooth after. It is a bit drying after washing it off but after serum and moisturizer it’s not an issue, and when I wake up my skin feels smooth and clear. Overall i think it does what it claims to do very well!
ORIGINS-Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay
💛BEST HYALURONIC ACID SERUM EVER! 🧡💙
Myth: Only dry skin can be dehydrated. Wrong! Normal and oily skin can be dehydrated as well. Dehydrated skin is skin that lacks water content, while dryness refers to skin that lacks oil . In fact, oily skin tends to overproduce oil to compensate for the lack of water. This can lead to breakouts and enlarged pores. Other signs of dehydration include tightness, fine lines, dullness, and increased sensitivity. 💛Let’s Talk Hyaluronic Acid🧡💙 Hyalruonic Acid is one of the best answers for dehydrated skin. It’s a humectant, an ingredient that binds to moisture. It has the ability to hold 1,000 times its weight in water! This results in hydrated, soft, plump skin! HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion contains FIVE types of hyaluronic acid as well as sacaran algae known for its moisturizing properties. Hello hydration! 💦 💛Review🧡💙 (Swipe to see texture pic) This product is a serum with a thick milky consistency. It’s formulated WITHOUT fragrance, dye, or mineral oil.Since this product is a humectant, it’s best to use this product when the skin is wet. I currently use this at night. After I cleanse my skin, I immediately put this on and tap it into my skin. After it fully absorbs, I follow up with my moisturizer. This J-product product beats all of the overpriced HA serums in Sephora! Not only does it keep my skin hydrated, soft and plump for hours, but within 10-15 minutes of usage, the appearance of my enlarged pores are gone! This will also be a lifesaver when my skin becomes dry and sensitive during winter. This is a new constant in my routine. I got mine in an Asian beauty store but you can find the product on Amazon and YesStyle! It’s only 15 dollars!! Can’t wait to try more products from this brand! Happy Hydration! 💦

Today, my post is dedicated to some products that work really well for my skin (combo-acne prone, mature). One is a newbie (but made it to my top), the rest have been tested for months or at least a month. ☺️ . Glyco 10 Overnight Treatment* by skinceuticals I have only incorporated this in my routines this week (4 times) and I am extremely impressed with how well this is formulated. Combines Glycolic acid at a 10% concentration with Phytic acid (great for acne & melasma), Salicylic Acid (awesome for acne & oily skin) and soothing agents. To be honest I was expecting some sort of dryness in the am, but it never happened. I did apply a decent amount and still my skin was soothed in the morning. Will keep you posted, this is only first impressions for this product. . Multi-active Toner* by dermalogica 💖 it appears that my skin prefers western brands when it comes to toners. This is by far my absolute favourite. Extremely hydrating, I can add multiple layers if needed, no stickiness at all, I cannot do sticky at all. I always take this in my bathroom as I like to apply it straight after showering (sometimes I double cleanse in the shower), I feel it keeps my skin extremely balanced. Try this with your fave mist, makes a huge difference. . DEJ Eye Cream by revision I have tried several creams, but I am hugely impressed. Only used it for a month and a week, results seen at week 3. Extremely soothing. I only have dehydration lines, but this really smoothes them out, while providing hydration. Somehow makes my skin so smooth that I don’t feel the need to add any kind of concealer or powder. Notable ingredients: Vitamin C, Amino Acid Copper Complex, Peptides, Goji extract (amazing antioxidant). Purifying Cleansing Gel by alumiermd , I have lots of cleansers I love and enjoying using. However, when it comes to removing makeup and SPF in the same day, this gem draws out impurities like a magnet.
