🥊 Battle of the Pimple Patches! 🥊
🥊 𝗪𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐭/𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬! 🥊 ↖️In one corner corner, we have the Hero Cosmetics 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬, weighing in at $12.99/6 patches, and a whopping 173 hyaluronic acid micropoints. ↘️And in the other corner, we have ZitSticka’s 𝐊𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐊𝐢𝐭, weighing in at $29/8 Killa patches + 8 Cleana swabs. These bad boys sport 24 microdarts filled with hyaluronic acid, salicylic acid, and niacinamide. 🥊𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝟏, 𝐅𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓! Round one is about effectiveness. After using nearly the entire box of Zitsticka and then trying only 2 of the Mighty Patches, Hero Cosmetics came out ahead with more effectively reducing those pesky under-the-skin pimples I’ve had. After feeling a bit let down by the Killa patches, I was blown away by how effective the Mighty Patches were. 🥊𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝟐, 𝐅𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓! Round two is all about the moolah. It’s pretty clear who is the winner here, as the Hero Cosmetics brand is much more affordable in general. I also was able to pick these up at my local Target which is a HUGE benefit! No waiting or paying for shipping! 🥊𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝟑, 𝐅𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓! Round three is packaging. I feel that although ZitSticka’s packaging is definitely sleek, it is super wasteful. Each patch comes individually wrapped inside a plastic case (to protect the micro darts, no doubt) which is then put in an individual foil pouch. Great for taking on the go, not so great for the environment. I like that the Mighty Patch comes 6 to a plastic package, and that it also sports more darts overall to cover more area. 𝐈𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲: In this fight, 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐓𝐊𝐎 over ZitSticka, which I wasn’t expecting! Both products were reimbursable through my FSA, which is a win-win. While Mighty Patches packed a bigger punch for me overall, I think both are worth trying and seeing what works best for you! 𝘏𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴? 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦??
I Tried It All & An Acne Victory Emerged!
Hormonal acne is extremely difficult to completely eliminate unless you treat the cause- which, my hormone fluctuations aren’t going anywhere, so I’d gotten pretty good at controlling breakouts via salicylic acid and niacinamide while I used azelaic acid and alpha arbutin to fade any leftover spots. But nothing has helped minimize my hormonal breakouts quite like Tretinoin 0.05%, a prescription that was previously unattainable thanks to the $200 copay for the dermatologist visit and the $180 prescription cost. Apostrophe doesn’t require you to have insurance- they have a flat rate $20 “visit fee” during which you fill out a questionnaire (including your health history) and send a dermatologist photos of your skin. Then that $20 goes towards your first prescription fill in their pharmacy, which is only $60 the first time and $90 after, though each lotion bottle should last about 3+ months with recommended use. $30 a month for the gold standard topical anti-aging ingredient and clinically-proven acne treatment? Sign me tf up. After just a month using Apostrophe - Topical Formula , I saw a difference in the frequency of my blemishes, though with stress and mask wearing lately I’ve been breaking out again. So my doctor added Clindamycin into my mix... at no extra charge, just the flat $90 cost. For those with insurance, you can have your prescription filled at the pharmacy of your choice (with your insurance if it covers it), making it super convenient for those that don’t want to wait on shipping times, which was only a couple days for me. The entire process, from survey to first product application, took only a week. I didn’t experience much irritation when introducing Tretinoin, as I eliminated all exfoliants and a lot of the products I was using to reduce risk of sensitizing my skin- plus I didn’t (and still don’t, even around six months later) use it daily. My skin is now less oily, less prone to the small colorless bumps that plagued my forehead, and I don’t really get blackheads anymore. For the anti-aging aspect, I’m 27, so I have few signs of aging as far as my skin goes- I have noticed some slight improvement in a crease in my forehead I’ve had since I was 16, which is promising! I just can’t emphasize enough how, while this didn’t cure my acne or the cystic blemishes I get around my period, this lotion has been the best acne treatment I have tried so far. #CheriePartner
ZIT STICKA patches really work!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Hey guys so I ordered this ZITSTICKA - Killa Kit off Amazon as a acne spot treatment and let me tell you these patches really work. I used to COSRX ones before and they were ok but nothing compared to zit sticka patches. I double cleansed before I got started. Step one you wipe your acne blemish-with the included wipe in the kit and step 2 you apply the patch which have these little darts, which you can definitely feel but don't hurt, over the blemish. After applying the spot treatment I then applied the rest of my skincare avoiding the treated area. I went to sleep and wake up with significantly reduced acne blemish. ***swipe to see photos*** I definitely will be reordering these off Amazon!!! Have you tried these?? What are your favorite acne spot treatment??!!
When I was on vacation I took full advantage of my trip and indulged in some treats that I enjoyed but my skin did not. This week I'm treating the last of a few stubborn breakouts left over. One of my favorite ways to treat breakouts is masking and the Therapeutic Sulfur Mask from peterthomasroth has been my go to. This mask is formulated with 10% sulfur as well as kaolin clay, bentonite clay and aloe. Sulfur has always been a very effective ingredient to treat my breakouts. This mask helps to dry out breakouts quickly while not over drying my skin. When I’m breaking out I like to use this mask 1-2 times a week, the mask dries very quickly and is easy to wash off with just water. I also like to use this mask as a spot treatment for a few minutes in the morning if I get an unwanted visitor over night. I do work with PTR but this mask was purchased by me and it will always be a repurchase.

Detox Water for Clear Skin
Recipe for Alkaline detox “tea”. Benefits: - helps flush toxins from the body and liver. When the liver is functioning properly we have healthy, glowing skin. - helps break up mucus in the body -helps removes toxins that can build up in pores and cause breakouts - supports alkalinity. sickness cannot thrive in an alkaline environment - provides a dose of over 90 minerals needed by the human body. - improves energy, stamina, digestion and thyroid function. - improves metabolism. Recipe: 1 cup hot water 1 KEY lime (seeded) 1 tablespoon organic sea moss gel organic Cucumber skins Add a few cucumber skins to a mug. (When cooking I often peel some of skin off of cucumbers and save them for things like this) Squeeze whole key lime into hot water 2-3 minutes after boiling the water (if the water is too hot it will burn off the minerals from the key lime). Add 1 tablespoon of sea moss gel to the water and stir. Once sea moss is dissolved, drink and enjoy! Best done first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. 2-3 cups at least is best. Has a very a mild taste so even the pickiest of people can try this!
New Brand 🚨
DR ROEBUCK'S - ULURU Tried a new to me mask from @drroebucks , it’s the Uluru Purfiying Mask. It claims to draw out impurities, control congestion, and absorb excess oils for a more balanced, clear complexion. My thoughts, I genuinely enjoyed it! It mattified but didn’t strip, it also didn’t dry into a cracky clay like most similar masks. It was so easy to remove with just my hands and warm water unlike others. The only gripe so far is that it did stain my mask brush with a tint of burgundy but that didn’t bother me. It can also be used for spot treatments, and it did help alleviate a giant swollen zit I had!
SUNDAY RILEY SATURN MASK🌿 • HOLY. GRAIL. This mask changed my life. Hands down the most effective product I have ever purchased. • When I was struggling badly with cystic acne, this mask was an absolute life saver. Listen up.⬇️ • ONE dab of this on a deep, sore, cystic pimple before bed. Wake up, and the spot will be drawn to the surface with a whitehead. Believe me when I say, I had DEEP, sore, inflamed cysts on my chin. Nothing could tackle them. This mask drew them to the surface, so I could lance the whitehead with a sterilized pin and drain the huge spot. It would then heal over the next day or 2. • It lasts f o r e v e r. I have used it so many times and the bottle is still full. Although my cystic acne has healed up, I still get the odd pimple and it’s always deep in the skin. I immediately ATTACK! with this spot treatment, and that’s the end of that. • I would highly recommend this product to anybody who struggles with cystic acne specifically, or any acne at all. It is such an incredibly effective mask. I have also tried Eradikate spot treatment which is 10% sulfur, and Saturn blows it out of the water. (spot test Saturn before using overnight). • sundayriley Saturn Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask 60mL - $55 USD at sephora
SUNDAY RILEY-Saturn Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask
SUNDAY RILEY - Saturn Sulfur Acne Treatment Mask Saturn is a mask designed specifically for acne. It has 10% sulfur to help treat acne and prevent any future breakouts. I definitely think this helps to get rid of breakouts but it’s not ideal for continued use as it’s very drying. I have been using this product as needed for about 3 years now and it does help tremendously when I have bad breakouts. I do not use it all over my face but more as a spot treatment. It has a fluffy marshmallow like texture which sometimes makes it hard to spread, another reason I use it as a spot treatment. I bought this because I love the brand and needed something just for breakouts. $55 for 60mls is a really great deal and will last you years. It will probably expire before you go through the entire bottle. I recommend this to anyone that has moderate acne breakouts, I don’t think it’s the answer for extreme acne. 4 out of 5 ⭐️ because it smells really bad and is hard to spread.

Great for blackheads and acne
The dermalogica - Blackhead Clearing Fizz Mask is incredibly helpful for my blackheads. It’s a cream substance that you apply to troubled areas and after a couple minutes it starts to foam up. Then you wash it out and I’ve noticed it helps to not only reduce my blackheads showing up but also clearing the ones I have but in a less harmful way than the nose strip masks. I really enjoy using this when I see an acne spot popping up and will immediately apply it and I’ve noticed it reduces my time of having the pimple. The one draw back that prevents 5 stars is its slightly drying but I just make sure to follow up with a good moisturizer. I will repurchase and would definitely recommend.
