GinZing Exfoliating Cleanser
This cleanser leaves my face feeling super refreshed after every use. About my skin: Combo, I tend to get oily in the summer and dry in the winter, occasionally break out, mainly in my T-Zone area. My skin is also sensitive! I use this about every 2-3 days, because I do have sensitive skin and it works great for me. It’s very gentle, yet it really gets into your pores and thoroughly cleanses your skin without being too harsh. The smell is amazing as well. ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Scrub Cleanser It has a citrusy 🍊 smell that isn’t over powering. It does tend to leave my skin a bit dry after using it, so I would definitely not skip the moisturizer.
Energize with Ginseng!
This is a great set of products to have to achieve and maintain a healthy glow and naturally “energize” the skin. With ginseng as a primary ingredient in all of these products, you can rest assured your eyes will look wide awake with the eye cream, your face will appear brighter with the face cream, and I love the cleanser because it is also a gentle scrub! Ginseng is a plant known for its medicinal values in energizing, improving focus and metabolism when eaten, so its no wonder it has great brightening value to our skin!
Clarisonic face brush
i have been using the clarisonic - Mia 1 Facial Cleansing Brush for 2+ YEARS now. i have never had an issue with this product and it’s the best thing i wouldn’t go back & recommend it to everyone. my brother actually started using the face brush because he had bad breakouts. he would use the face brush 2x (morning & night) with no product on it just water & his face CLEARED UP. i don’t have that many break outs, but i wanted something to deep clean. every morning i use this, i feel my face is deeply cleaned. i have taken my makeup off the night before and woken up & used this and there makeup on the brush! that made me realize how much makeup product i still has on my face and just thought it was crazy! i started using the product with Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser and i love it! it’s gentle, deep cleans, and i feel like it’s perfect product for the face brush. a few things to know about the face brush: 1. the product has a timer on it, i actually don’t do it for the whole 2 minutes, i do it for however long i feel is needed. 2. there are different brush heads to use with this if you have more sensitive skin. i do find sometimes when i use the brush with a brand new brush head it’s a little rough.
Clarisonic Mia Smart VS Mia 1
Thank you to Cherie for giving me the Sephora gift card that allowed me to upgrade my cleansing brush! So happy to be part of this community and for that program. Thanks to the gift cards, I had received I was able to finally reach Sephora Rouge!!! Words can express my gratitude and appreciation!❤️🤗 Now on to the review! I haven’t yet tried the IT cosmetics products yet. I was able to try out the new Mia Smart. I truly love the color and the presentation of the Mia smart. Super slick, smooth, and classy! In terms of the modes, the Mia 1 also has 3 speeds. Both also have a timer. I believe they both sold these in lavender/purple colors. The differences: Mia Smart: •slim •gentler vibrations and bristles •has some silicon bristles which are great for exfoliation. •Smarter timer system • Charging dock/ stand Mia 1: •the OG •bulkier •no silicone bristles •gentle bristles •timer system I truly feel that the Mia Smart is a great upgrade from the first generation Clarisonic brushes. The Mia Smart were around the same price as the Mia 1 at the time that I bought it. I think I got this for above $100. But this set that I got was $120 with a handful of cult favorite samples too! Really great price! I’m thinking of getting the makeup brush one to speed up getting ready for any occasion... which means more time to sleep 🤗

Skincare Routine. Step 3:Facial Toner! 2/4
A good facial toner is so simple & so important! I have a few toners in rotation currently— that I LOVE! Toner #2 GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner I first read about the Good Molecules brand here on Cherie! I was researching The Ordinary. Glycolic acid toner. And that’s when I found Good Molecules brand and the Niacinamide Brightening Toner. And decided to try this toner instead. This toner does everything it claims to do! And I absolutely love it! If I could only use one toner for my face this would be it! It makes my skin look brighter, feel tight, yet moisturized. I have noticed it minimizes the appearance of my pores, reduces redness and inflammation, and evens my skin tone and skin texture significantly! There is not one thing that I don’t love about this product! It even comes in beautiful packaging, opening it was like a little gift to me, from me 🎀🤗 AND it’s in a glass container! The only thing that would make this product better for me is if it was in a spray bottle. Because I prefer to spray my toner on. But I pour this this in my hands and apply it to my face with no issues.
Good Molecules niacinamide Toner RUINED my skin
This Toner RUINED my skin! GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner 😢 I've used niacinamide, vitamin C, & alpha arbutin (even though this product uses arbutin) all before with no negative reactions, until now. I desperately wanted to like this product cuz I was looking for a good inexpensive toner to use daily. Because of this I probably used it too long hoping the reaction was only purging, not having a negative reaction. My skin was finally starting to look semi presentable, but this caused me to go back to square 1, farther back than phase 1. My skin was so horribly red & anything I put on top of it tingled. I even patch tested it (on my neck, not my face) before I used it all over my face. for weeks my skin was drastically more sensitive when using any product even when I was no longer using this toner. I haven't been able to find out the % of each ingredient they're using (example The Ordinary is 10% niacinamide), which seems 🐟 to me. Just be cautious when using this product.

My favorite pinks
Kylie Skin Vit C Serum — Antioxidant Serum
Function: This serum claims to brighten skin. It contains Vitamin C to make skin look more lively and uses camellia leaf as an anti-inflammatory. It’s meant to target dull skin and “improve overall skin health” with the use of antioxidants. Texture: The texture is thicker than other Vit C serums I’ve used before. It’s a milky white, whereas many others are more clear/yellow in color. It applies more like a lotion, which I actually enjoy because it absorbs fast and doesn’t feel tacky. Thoughts: This is a really solid Vitamin C serum! I’ve enjoyed having it in my routine for the past few weeks. I feel like there was a lot of thought put into this product, from the packaging to the formulation. The container is opaque with a pump — this is important because these qualities protect the Vitamin C from deteriorating (air and light can negatively affect the star ingredient!). There are different forms of Vit C that can be used in skincare, and this one uses the most stable form that is also thought to be the best at penetrating the skin. Also worth mentioning is the fact that the Vit C is the second ingredient on the list, making sure that it is potent enough to be effective. There’s no added fragrance, so you definitely get that natural hot dog water smell that is unique to Vitamin C in skincare, but I’d take that over unnecessary fragrance any day! Overall, I would say I have noticed an increase in brightness and evenness to my skin, thanks to this serum. I’d say this is more of a 4.5 out of 5 stars, just because they could have added another element to this to make it more impressive. But I’d recommend it to my friends for sure, as an entry into using antioxidant serums if that is something that is intimidating! Price: $28 for 0.7 oz
Kylie Skin Walnut Face Scrub
A very controversial product. I’ve only used it twice and I don’t hate it but I don’t love it. I love the light pink packaging and the overall aesthetic of her brand. Physical exfoliants can be very abrasive and leave micro tears which could cause acne, infection, irritation etc. I believe that chemical exfoliants are really effective and not abrasive at all. If you plan to use a physical exfoliant use an enzyme scrub. It’s a physical exfoliant plus a chemical exfoliant all in one and in my opinion is a lot more effective then just a scrub. Like the @katesomervilleskincare exfolikate intensive pore exfoliating treatment, love that product. I have noticed I have some breakouts on my cheeks after using the walnut scrub last night. I will no longer be using this product on my face and for now on just use it as a body scrub. - - *Disclaimer* just because this product didn’t work for me does not mean it won’t work for you. Everybody’s skin is different and needs different things.
Kylie Skin - Walnut Face Scrub
Kylie Jenner could probably sell me a snow cone in a snow storm. I’m not ashamed to admit it. Again I’m a sucker for good branding and packaging and tell me there’s a more powerful brand out there outside of anything the Kardashians/Jenners touch. What helps is when they actually put out good products. This facial scrub is something I half picked up because it’s Kylie Skin and this packaging is a real aesthetic and half picked up because I love a physical exfoliator and walnuts are delicious so..... anyway I had heard mixed reviews about this. A lot of people loved it and a lot of people were worried that the walnut exfoliant would be too rough and would tear skin. I have to say that I really like it. I only use it once a week (and not every week at that, rotating with a chemical exfoliant instead) and I find it fairly gentle. As gentle as you’d want a physical exfoliant to be I suppose. It has a subtle nutty smell from the walnuts that’s actually kind of refreshing in my opinion. It’s nice and thick and spreads well. Really want to try more from the brand!
Exfoliation series part 1
As I’ve touched on before there are more than one ways to exfoliate your skin. In this series I sill go over a few of the ways with product reviews of each! Starting with physical exfoliation Physical exfoliation consists of a product that literally physically exfoliates. Made of small somewhat rough particles you rub over skin to buff away dead skin cells. Pros- it buffs away rough, dry and dead skin. Leaving behind fresh and soft skin. Cons- sometimes these exfoliants can be too rough and actually damage the skin, by pulling on and being too abrasive causing micro tears in the skin. dr. brandt - Microdermabrasion Age-Defying Exfoliator microdermabrasion is a more intense exfoliation. Tiny rough particles you scrub at the skin with to buff away dullness. Supposed to help with wrinkles and fine lines as well. This one if very fine which is good but I still am apprehensive to use scrubs like this all too often FRÉ - Purify Me Hydrating Facial Cleanser This cleanser has tiny particles that aren’t rough at all, they’re also few and far between. It isn’t packed with exfoliants but it has enough to leave the skin feeling soft and fresh. Not harsh at all! Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser this is one of my favorite exfoliation cleansers! It’s very gentle, not rough or overly abrasive at all. Leaves skin feeling very fresh and clean without feeling damaged or over exfoliated. In general I enjoy the neutrogena hydro boost line!
Neutrogena-Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser
My special routine for mask.
Many people just put on their mask directly on cleansed skin and I used to do that as well. Not saying that’s wrong, but I find out a better way to make the most use of the mask. Personally, I like to add different products to a traditional routine to boost their efficiency and I am really amazed by this method I came up with mask and I have to say this changed my way to put mask a lot. Step 1: Cleanse and exfoliate—Clarins On-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser It is known to cleanse our skin with nothing leaves on before the mask. I prefer to use an exfoliator to pre-cleanse my face by scrubbing it on first. My concern is acne and oiliness; this scrub cleanser from Clarins is quite gentle yet effective with tiny particles removing dead skin and oil and also easy to wash away. It doesn’t strip my face at all and the orange scent is so refreshing. Step 2: Fav Booster—The Ordinary Lactic Acid 5%+HA This water-like serum contains 5% lactic acid which is an alpha-hydroxy acid(AHA) famous for gentle exfoliation. It is super lightweight and does not hinder the ingredients from the mask at all. I actually experienced brightening the most from it and it is quite mild for me. So I apply this as a serum right before the mask. Step 3: The Main Course--Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask This pink gel mask is so cute and caught my eyes for the first sight. Surprisingly it does work for me. It uses new technology to blend rose stem cells, rose extracts and rose water altogether to address problems like dehydration and dullness. I always store this in the fridge and it gets so cool and quenching that way. With scrub and lactic acid, the nutrients from the mask can be better absorbed and my face looks brighter after washing it away. I use a mask about twice a week, and I apply in this way every single time. This may not be everyone’s cup of tea since we all have different skin types and concerns, but why not letting our products show their full potential when possible?

GOOD MOLECULES Niacinamide
Hi!! 💕 New skin gal here. I used to have a basic/non existent routine but since getting a few professional facials I’m now finding it fun to learn about all things skin. My skin is pretty regular. I get oily patches, dry patches and acne on occasion. My first problem to tackle is going to be my pores. They look larger around my cheeks and nose and I’ve always struggled with blackheads. After searching for solutions I’ve landed on GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner& GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum. I was needing a new toner anyways and was looking into Niacinamide as a serum so I’m just going to go full speed ahead and try these out together. Wish me luck! My PM routine as of now - oil cleanser: I just use sweet almond oil I got off of Amazon. My skin friend told me about this so I just do it lol. I’m told oil sticks to oil so it’s good to start with this also to get your makeup off cleanse: I have a random collection of old cleansers that I’m using up but planning to switch to TULA SKINCARE - purifying face cleanserwhen I finish off my Neutrogena and etc 😉 exfoliate: I use ARCONA - Brightening Gommage 3x a week to schluff off the dead built up skin. I got this from my “Skin Studio” a few months back. I really like it but it’s pricey (over $50 I believe) so I’m going to try out cheaper alternatives when I’m out. tone: used to use THAYERS - Lavender Facial Toner which I liked mostly because of the smell but it wasn’t actually beneficial to my skin. I’m excited to use GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Tonerand see what difference this switch makes! mist: tbh I honestly use this at least 2-3x during my routine. I just love the smell and I can use the hydration. HONEST - ELEVATED HYDRATION MIST is the only one I’ve tried but I don’t care to try anything else - it’s THE BEST. serum/mask: this I rotate every day. I’ll post a picture of my “rotators” but today I used The Ordinary - Retinol 1% in Squalane I love the way my skin feels after I use this - soft and hydrated . I haven’t seen much of a difference quite yet. I’m still going to use it 2-3x a week and wait if I see any improvements. TODAY: GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum!!! I don’t know when to use this quite yet so I’m putting it here 🤷🏼♀️ directions say before creams! moisturize: I’ve used CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion my dermatologist acquaintance that said it’s the only thing he will use or recommend (to be exact, the AM is what I used to use twice a day. But now a friend gave me PM for nighttime but I don’t notice much of a difference other than texture). oil: gotta seal it up. I use 100% cold pressed Rose hip oil from Amazon. I don’t think brand really matters as long as it doesn’t have BS added ingredients Any advice appreciated!! 💕💕
B*TCH SLAP UR FACE WITH DERMALOGICA & PRP FACTOR
THE GOAL: To DEEPLY NOURISH, REPAIR, AND MOISTURIZE by using POWER-PACKED serums and skin-absorbing vitamins. They will penetrate deeper because of the Scaling Gel. (The gel combines well with ANY Dermalogica product to INTENSIFY its effect.) AND for Circulation, Recuperation, Lymphatic Drainage, and Sinus Relief, using facial massage and patting. (Due to limited word count on this, I will not be able to explain how to massage. Please see YouTube.) GLASS INSTEAD OF PLASTIC: *Use a glass bowl for all mixtures. *I recommend glass for everything, but ESPECIALLY for beauty treatments because of the Microbead scare which occurred in 2014. *Microbeads are tiny pieces of polyethylene plastic that were regularly added to health and beauty products: ESPECIALLY THE INEXPENSIVE STORE-BOUGHT EXFOLIANTS! *It freaked me out, so now I avoid plastic like the plague, even though they passed the The Microbead-Free Waters Act of 2015. But how can we be certain other countries aren’t still using them? *Dermalogica was launched from Carson, California in 1986 and prides itself on pure effective ingredients: ‘Our formulas are free of artificial colors and fragrances, mineral oil, lanolin, S.D. alcohol, parabens and MICROPLASTICS’ -Jane Wurwand, the founder. MIXTURE: *Glass bowl and beauty brush. *One pump of Pro Multi-Active Scaling Gel *One teaspoon of Skin Prep Scrub. *Konjac Sponge. Massage circularly for two minutes. Rinse. (NOTE: The Prep Scrub is DISCONTINUED so be careful if you buy it on EBAY.) *If you are uncomfortable doing that use: DERMALOGICA DAILY MICROFOLIANT. They both do their job: Polish, Brighten, Smooth, and Remove Debris. DO NOT USE DERMALOGICA DAILY SUPERFOLIANT WITH THIS TREATMENT! I feel that is too harsh and that’s not the purpose. CHEMISTRY TIME! 😃🧐 -1 teaspoon of Vitamin C serum. (Here, I used TruSkin C 20, E, and Hyaluronic Acid Serum). -1 teaspoon of Skin-Pro Medical Grade PRP Growth Factor, Epidermal Growth Factor, HGF, and IGF Facial Serum. -1/2 tsp of hydrating cream. (I use Replenishing Hydrating Cream by Skin Medica.) MIXTURE APPLICATION: Once it’s all mixed, take a gloved hand to spread. Massage into your skin for five minutes. Massage with konjac sponge and water until it’s gone. PATTING AND PRODUCTS: Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner. Wait one minute. InstaSkinCare Vitamin C serum. Wait another minute. Super Rich Repair and Intensive Eye Treatment. Start pats. YouTube Video for facial massage, pressure pts. & tapping. SkinPro PRO Growth Factor HGF, EGF, and IGF IS AN AT-HOME VAMPIRE FACIAL and highly recommended by SkinCare International.com! EGF: signals cells to produce collagen by paracrine signaling, which is communication from cell to cell. Basically, it’s bringing in fluid to that area which in turn plumps the skin. HGF: stimulates peptides which act as building blocks for collagen, elastin and keratin. IGF: is an insulin like growth factor that in high levels reduce wrinkles and grows back hair.

Skin care routine
After countless hours of research I found my current skincare routine. As mentioned in my previous post I have pretty oily skin with large pores and texture issues being my biggest skin problems. I discovered an app called Think Dirty that breaks down the ingredients of different skin care, beauty, and household products and gives them as rating based on how good the ingredients are for your body as well as the environment. HIGHLY recommend checking it out but be prepared that you may find some of your favorite products really aren’t that great... As for my routine: In the mornings I wash my face with HONEST - Gentle Gel Cleanser which I love as it is super gentle but still feels like it is really cleaning my face. It has super clean ingredients and smells nice. Then I use the GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner This toner is fairly gentle. I had been using the ordinary toner which is a lot stronger and always made my face burn so I like that this one is a bit more chill plus it has extra ingredients like niacinamide and vitamin C. After that I apply the HONEST - Hydrogel Cream since I have oily skin I wanted to use am oil free moisturizer and I’m obsessed with this one. It is super light weight but really feels like it hydrates. If I am planning to go outside I use the alba BOTANICA - Mineral Sunscreen, Sensitive, Fragrance Free, SPF 30 I chose this one because it had super clean ingredients and I am sensitive to normal sunscreen so I had to find a mineral based one. It’s not greasy and doesn’t leave a white residue or anything so I’m super happy with it. In the evening I again wash with the Honest cleanser and apply the good molecules toner. Then a few nights a week I use the GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment I’ve only used it a couple times so I haven’t noticed a huge improvement but my skin seems a little less uneven texture wise so I think as I continue to use it it will really help. I gave it 4 stars because it does burn a little but that’s expected for most exfoliators... At night I also use the GOOD MOLECULES - Discoloration Correcting Serum and GOOD MOLECULES - Squalane Oil both of which I like so far! The oil makes me skin super soft and I think with continued use both will show good results. I then use the honest moisturizer and head to bed. When I want a little extra exfoliation I use either the The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution which I really like and has definitely help my texture or the AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay (not pictured) which is my savior for my pores. I recommend doing a half water half apple cider vinegar mix because it can be a bit intense with straight vinegar. I highly recommend all of these products so feel free to comment for more info!!!
