Smaller Looking Pores!! 😱😱🤩🤩
Is this the real life, is this just fantasy 🎶 Cue Freddie Mercury because my pores haven’t looked this good in soooo long!!! 😍😍😍 The first picture is my skin journey log from today and the second is the from the start of my skin care journey last June. This is the first time since my first log that my pores have been in the green!! It’s incredible!! (If you want to know the products I use, check out my last two posts.) Yes, I know, my acne isn’t the best right now. That’s because my chin is in the process of purging. I’m using a lot of new products and ingredients and my skin needs a little time to adjust. I usually get pimples on my chin so this is a pretty normal behavior for my skin but hopefully within the next few day, the amount on my chin will decrease (if I would just stop picking!) ❌ Other products that I have been trying out lately are The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutionand PETER THOMAS ROTH - Masking Minis 5-Piece Mask Kit which I will do more posts on later as I use them more. I’ve only used each of the masking minis once along with the peeling solution once, but so far I’m really liking the black mask and the pumpkin mask! Follow me for more posts about my journey and comment below anything you want to see me post about! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 What helps you when your skin is purging? 🤔 Looking for tips and tricks! Thanks, lovely people!! 💖💖
Glass Skin > Ordinary Peeling Solution
Okay so a few weeks ago I made a post on how I changed my mind on The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Originally I was ready to bring it right back after trying for weeks but apparently I was keeping it on for too long and it was just making my skin worse. For the longest time, I was thinking that my skin has been so desensitized by products that I need to wear products for double the time they suggested (with hydrating products this sometimes works) but DEFINITELY not for this one. I started wearing it for 8-9 minutes rather than 10-15 and definitely seeing more improvements so I gave it a good review, but now that PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum has come into my life, I may have once again changed my mind. This is a serum that claims to smooth your skin and even tone using peach extract, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and peptides. Below I have provided Ulta’s notes on it! RECOMMENDED FOR: • Dullness and uneven skin tone • Rough skin texture • Wrinkles, fine lines, sagging • Dehydrated skin • Redness, inflammation WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU: • Peach Extract: full of vitamins, minerals, and essential acids to help keep skin resilient • Niacinamide: helps quell inflammation, brighten and provide antioxidative benefits • Asian Mountain Yam Extract: helps to reduce flakiness • Madecassoide: helps curb inflammation and stimulate collagen production • Hyaluronic Acid Complex: blend of short-chain, medium-chain and long-chain hyaluronic acid molecules that moisturizes every layer of skin, leaving it hydrated, plumped and radiant • Peptide Complex: proprietary blend of peptides that signals collagen production, helping fill fine lines and deeply-etched wrinkles, while firming skin for a smoother, glassier appearance Verdict: After using this serum ONE TIME I noticed a DRASTIC change in my skin that I was expecting from The Ordinary Peeling Solution and didn’t get after using for almost 6 months. Slowly it started to show results, but nothing even CLOSE to Peach and Lily. With Peach and Lily, not only do I see a total lack of acne and scarring that I had before, but the redness that normally shows in my skin is almost nonexistent and my face is finally the same shade as my neck. This is definitely one of my top 5 products I’ve ever used. How I Use: Morning: Wash my face with THE BODY SHOP - Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser Top with serum and a moisturizer with sunscreenCeraVe - Hydrating Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50 Night: Wash my face with either the tea tree cleanser or bliss - Micro Magic depending on how long I wore my Covid mask that day (Micro Magic seems to help with maskne) Saturate a cotton pad with Fourth Ray - Waterfall Gentle Toner and rub it all over, let it dry and top with CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator

First Impressions Aztec Secret Clay Mask
After reading so many good reviews, I bought this today at Target for $7.99. I used water to mix with the powder in a bowl. I tried mixing with my fingers but you definitely need a spoon. I couldn’t get the mix just right at first so I ended up making a bit more than I needed. I layered the mask AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay thick on my face. It felt nice and cool going on and was easy to spread. Since I had so much I used the rest on my neck, chest and my feet. I kept it on for 20 mins. At around the 10 minute mark the mask starts to harden and pull your face tight... A little bit later it starts to “pulse” on your face. Once I washed it off, my skin felt really clean and everything was so soft. I didn’t have much redness on my face immediately after. My pores were slightly smaller after this first time. I definitely can’t wait to continue with this mask! I will update once I use this mask for a while. Second Impression: Since I still had so much of the mask left, I put it in a ziplock bag and decided to try it again the next day. This time it was a little more intense on. I did wear it for about 5 or 10 mins longer. Right after removing the mask, my face and neck were red all over this time. The next day, my face was very soft and seemed to be less red & clearer. I can’t wait to continue this mask weekly.
Just another journey
Natural hair chronicles.👩🏽🦱 Based off research & experience I’d say my hair is either high porosity or a mixture of both. Furthermore, I have multiple textures when its wet. Therefore, I still don’t know exactly how to cater to my whole head just yet & I’ve been natural for years. Protein overload 🚫 Ahhh, I realized recently that almost every product i’ve used had some type of protein in it.😳 My hair is very strong but doesn’t retain moisture like it used to. Consequently, I have to change my entire routine to products that don’t contain any protein or coconut oil. ⚠️Current Routine: Shampoo: SheaMoisture - Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo. I’ll be alternating withKinky-Curly - Come Clean, Natural Moisturizing Shampoofor clarifying. I’ll also incorporate AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay when necessary. Conditioner: aussie - Miracle Moist 3 Minute Miracle with Avocado for Dry Hair Repairfor detangling. Deep conditioner: SheaMoisture - Raw Shea Butter Moisture Recovery Treatment Masque Packette Styling: (not in order) SheaMoisture - Raw Shea Butter Extra-Moisture Detangler Kinky-Curly - Knot Today, Natural Leave In / Detangler #Camille Rose - Fresh Curl Revitalizing Hair Smoother[products]# #Curls - Creme Brule Whipped Curl Cream[products]# SheaMoisture - Sugarcane Extract & Meadowfoam Seed Silicone Free Leave-In DIY hair butter for sealing. I know my hair care needs some tweaking, if anybody could recommend any products that don’t contain anything that’ll contribute to my problem, please do!
Affordable way to tame oily skin and acne
Some acne honesty: Just want to say first, that when I was seriously struggling with acne after going off birth control I know this helped, BUT this wasn’t a product that actually cured my acne. I think this mask is great and is an affordable way to treat oily skin and shrivel up blemishes, but for me it provided more short term relief. Just wanted to put that out there and be honest. I would describe this mask as a mini detox for your skin. Anytime I’m feeling like my skin needs a pick-me-up (feeling congested, noticing some blackheads or see a blemish starting to form). And I do see results almost instantly after using the mask. The good: + The salicylic acid does help tame clogged pores, acne and keep excess oils at bay. You will notice a difference almost immediately after and the next morning. + Doesn’t irritate the skin. + Provides some mild exfoliation, which leaves the skin smooth but not irritated. + AFFORDABLE. Gotta love it. + Easily accessible in Canada. We have a couple stores here where we can get the Ordinary products. Or you could just order from Sephora. + While the mask does harden after about 8 minutes, it doesn’t crack or get uncomfortable. + My skin feels clean after but not too tight or “squeaky”. The not so good: - I find the benefits to be fairly short-term (days / a week). - This won’t magically make your pores or acne go away. But it definitely helps! Worth it? Totally! It’s affordable, does its job and gives me an excuse to put on a face mask and watch a million YouTube videos. Would I repurchase? Yes, especially since it’s so affordable. PS The pic was supposed to be a play off of “mask and chill”... I tried 😅🧖🏼♀️

Great gentle exfoliating mask
I’m a long-time fan of The Ordinary, so when I saw this new mask in the Deciem store during a recent trip to Toronto, I snapped it up! I‘ve used their acid peel in the past and although I loved the results, it was very strong and stung my skin every time I used it. I was hoping this mask would be a gentler alternative, and thus far it’s lived up to my hopes. This mask claims to target lackluster tone and texture, including large pores and acne blemishes. The product is a creamy consistency, and a little goes a long way—a very thin layer is all you need. The mask dries to a matte finish within a few minutes, and when I wash it off it feels like there are some physical exfoliants—maybe the charcoal? Either way, it doesn’t sting my skin at all, and I think it’s really helped calm down my current breakout. This mask is more expensive than the acid peel, at $12 for 50ml, but it’s still very affordable. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a milder exfoliating mask that targets acne, large pores, and texture. The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque

The Ordinary 2% Salicylic Acid Masque
The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque I’m usually a big fan of the ordinary products, since most of them are super affordable and effective. I’ve only been using this mask for about 3 weeks but I like it so far. The consistency is like a thick black cream, that’s really easy to apply with fingers or a brush. I used it all over my face the first time, and even though I only left it for about 8 minutes, it felt a bit drying on some areas. A couple of hours after using this, my blemishes really got to the surface and disappeared faster than usual. Now I only use it as a spot treatment or on areas that I have blemishes, because it can be drying. It works very well and is really effective for the low price. I recommend applying a thick layer or washing it off after a couple of minutes to not dry your skin out. I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t irritate my skin that way. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a effective affordable spot treatment or mask for blemishes! 4/5 stars because it can be a bit drying.

Face mask options !!!!
The first mask is glow recipe: when using this mask I normally do it overnight. You can only do it for about 10 minutes as well. This mask is supposed to smooth and prefect your skin overnight. The ingredients are pillow proof and I can agree that they are and haven’t noticed anything on my pillow. This leaves my skin super soft and glowing in the morning! Rise off when you wake up. The Aztec Indian healing clay: I have really bad pores and sometimes they are noticeable, and it is one of my biggest insecurities. This mask wipes them literally away!!!! I wouldn’t say to use this mask if you have sensitive skin ( I have sensitive skin and I still use it and it works just fine for me) I do recommend trying because everyone’s skin is different and you don’t know what will work best for you until you try it. I mix this with apple cider vinegar and some parts water so it’s not that harsh. You will feel your face pulsate which is normal. When you take it off your face will be red which is also normal and will go away within a couple of minutes. The ordinary: I haven’t used this one that much but so far I do like it. It does sting for me pretty bad and I heard it’s normal. Make sure you put on sunscreen after this mask or it can darken up your dark spots even more. Overall, so far I like this mask and will keep you updated but sometimes the stinging sensation can be a little much. Overall, my go to mask is the Aztec healing clay just because I’ve never seen something make so much of a difference on my pores. Also when trying new skincare products be patient!!!! Results take time so give something’s a chance unless it is really bothering you skin. Listen to your body treat your skin right!!! Hope you guys are having a lovely day.

does aztec secret work?
So i look a little crazy with this mask😂 but getting beauty isnt always beautiful. I have been using this mask for about a month now. I get very few zits, but the ones that I do are very big and deep under the skin so they leave big dark spots. this mask has actually helped taken them away! i have also noticed it has reduced oil on my face, and smooths my skin. the only issue is it doesnt shrink my large pores at all. I mix one tablespoon of it with one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar because water makes it too chunky. truly, this is a miracle mask! AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay

Biore on frontline against blackheads and sebum
Biore Pore Strips are designed to unclog pores that cause blackhead and also remove blackheads they have seen the light of day. I have used the Bioré - Nose + Face Deep Cleansing Pore Strips , but I prefer the Bioré - Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips since it was formulated with charcoal for oily skin. It also allows me to see the gunk that comes out better. 🤮 How to use: After washing your face, thoroughly wet your nose — or forehead or chin if you have the combo pack — and place the pore strip. Let dry and harden for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then carefully remove it by peeling the edges. (I pull upward.) Rinse the area to remove the residue. Note: I don’t think these should be consistently used — especially if you have sensitive skin. They are something I use as a last resort because I know that it isn’t good for my skin in the long run — after all the skin on our faces tend to be about 20 percent thinner than our bodies. WARNING: I don’t recommend using this the days after you have used retinols or and exfoliant since your skin could be more prone to tearing or sensitivity. Price Walmart: Charcoal strips (18 strips; $14.44 and 6 strips; $7.25)/ Target: Charcoal strips (18 strips; $13.99 and 6 strips; $7.99)
