CBD or cannabidiol is the non-intoxicating component of marijuana or hemp plants. It’s extracted from the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant, whose THC content is exceptionally low. It is also important to know that CBD oil is not the same thing as hemp seed oil. CBD oil is richly concentrated in cannabidiol, whereas hemp seed oil only contains trace amounts of cannabidiol. It’s great for sensitive skin (rosacea, eczema, redness), acne prone skin and wrinkles and anti-aging. I bought the set sephora favorites CBD skincare and I have been really looking forward to review them. HERBIVORE - Emerald Deep Moisture Glow Oil

CBD in Skincare: Miracle Ingredient? 🍁
Every year there's new trendy ingredients featured all over skincare - from serums to moisturizers and everything in between! Some of this year's trendiest ingredients are niacinamide, bakuchiol, retinol, and CBD. I've used all the ingredients on the 2020 trendy skincare list, but one has easily made its way all over my vanity - CBD! So why should CBD be in skincare? Well it has a lot of great benefits to the skin, like: antioxidant and anti-inflammatory can reduce sebum and reduce acne soothes irritated skin and can treat inflammatory skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea rich in Vitamins A, C and E rich in fatty acids, Omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9 I use it because it's extremely soothing to my skin during breakouts and when I'm using a retinoid that dries out my skin. It calms redness and inflammation from breakouts and really helps them to heal quickly! Here's some of the products I've used. LORD JONES - Acid Mantle Repair CBD Moisturizer is my daily moisturizer. It's a thick cream full of CBD, ceramides and hyaluronic acid. Even though it's thick, it sinks into the skin and doesn't feel heavy. This is perfect for my combo skin during the cooler months, and wasn't too heavy during the summer either. If you have dry skin I would layer an oil over the top of it! Contains 250mg of CBD and 1.7 oz retails for $75. LORD JONES - Royal Oil Hemp-Derived CBD has only two ingredients, grapeseed oil and broad spectrum CBD oil. This is not only a skincare item but also a tincture, so you can take it orally or add it to drinks. I use this on top of my skincare or as my sole skincare step if I'm in a rush. It's thicker than my other CBD oils so I find it a bit more versatile. Contains 1000mg of CBD and 1 oz retails for $100. prima - Night Magic CBD Intensive Face Oil is a gorgeous oil blend of CBD, prickly pear oil, moringa oil, hemp seed oil, and a bunch of other skin-beneficial oils! It claims to "reveal soft, bright, intensely hydrated skin" and it gives me just that! I use this as my last step in my night routine and it seals in all the steps underneath. Contains 300mg of CBD and 1 oz. retails for $88. FLORA+BAST - Age Adapting CBD Serum is the most serum like CBD oil in my collection. It's lightweight, sinks in quickly and smells herbally like you would expect from a CBD product. This is my go-to CBD product because I can use it on its own, mix it with other products and use it to layer. Contains 350mg of CBD and 1 oz. retails for $77. All of the CBD products in this post I recommend and would repurchase. They do not contain THC. It's great for all skin types and skin conditions! #CheriePartner
Who doesn’t wanna age backwards?! 🤗
My newest purchase is the new Kosas cbd extra strength lip balm and the age adapting serum by flora and bast omg 😳 where do I start? If you don’t have cbd in your skincare or in your life you are missing out on the most wonderful herb.🤓 I can’t live without this combination. I’m so obsessed already I gotta go buy more because kosas cbd lip balm is a limited edition.😩Winged. - Radiance Youth Serum FLORA+BAST - Age Adapting CBD Serum Kosas - Port LipFuel Hyaluronic Lip Balm the cbd extra strength for juicy hydrated 👄 This is my day and night routine. Winged cbd is my all time fav. They can’t go wrong with anything. This youth serum is so gentle for your skin. My skin feels and looks delicious. This is the perfect routine for a fall skincare because of the weather cooling off.

Empties that I would definitely repurchase!
Krave - The Beet Shield $20 for 50 ml This is hands down the best face spf I have ever tried! No white cast, no weird sunscreen smell, sits well under makeup, AND spf 50. It dries slightly dewy so if I am wearing it alone I will set it with powder, but if I am wearing makeup it is the perfect primer. Have already repurchased twice SUMMER FRIDAYS - CC Me Vitamin C Serum $64 for 1 oz I have super sensitive skin and it is rare that I find a vitamin c serum that doesn’t irritate my skin at all. This one is super gentle but still has noticeable brightening effects. It is a hydrating serum due to the added squalane, and makes my skin so happy. It smells slightly like cinnamon, but in a very subtle and natural way. Will repurchase once I finish my current vitamin c serum HERBIVORE - Emerald Deep Moisture Glow Oil $58 for 1 oz This oil is so hydrating and soothing and perfect for the winter! I definitely notice my skin is less red when I wake up after using this oil. It has a natural herbal scent but I actually really enjoy it. I’ve gone through 3 minis and will be purchasing a full size very soon SheaMoisture - Red Palm Oil & Cocoa Butter Leave-In or Rinse Out Conditioner $11.19 for 13 oz I have used this both as a leave in and rinse out conditioner, and while it works great for both, I much prefer it as a leave in. Not too sticky and adds the perfect amount of moisture to my dry, curly hair. This paired with a styling gel and my curls are hydrated and defined and so shiny! I can’t even count how many of these I’ve gone through Not Pot - Pineapple CBD gummies ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ $40 for 30 gummies These gummies help me sleep better and feel less stressed through the day. I don’t take them everyday and so I definitely notice a shift in my mood when I do take one. They taste great and not at all like weed. I’ve gone through 3 bottles over the past few months and can’t wait until they restock! #cheriepartner
My favorite lazy nighttime routine - in minis
A good nighttime routine for me has at minimum 3 vital steps: oil based cleanser, water based cleanser, and moisturizer. This simple 4 step routine is my go-to for traveling because it hits all my requirements plus a little something extra! First cleanse: Elemis Pro-collagen cleansing balm This is my absolute favorite first cleanse. It has a jelly like consistency and removes all traces of makeup and spf fairly easily. It does contain some essential oils which can be sensitizing for some people, but has never bothered my sensitive skin. Second cleanse: Youth to the People Superfood cleanser I really appreciate a foaming cleanser that is gentle enough for use twice a day. This is a thin gel consistency that has a gentle lather. I can even use this to remove any eye makeup that was left behind after my first cleanse. Moisturizer: Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask This is such a multi- use product! It can be used as a 20 minute wash off mask, an overnight sleeping mask, or a daytime moisturizer for those with drier skin. It’s full of ceramides to help moisturize the skin. The mask contains niacinamide too which helps even skin tone and visibly minimize enlarged pores. Oil (My bonus product): Herbivore Emerald Oil I love the cbd version of this oil (there is also a hemp one) to add extra hydration and decrease my natural redness. It’s incredibly hydrating, but sinks into the skin super well and doesn’t feel too oily at all. It also has ashwagandha to protect against environmental stressors. #cheriepartner

PR/Gifted // Bringing back to you guys @madeca_derma.us 🌿 Madeca Derma kindly sent me their brand new launch, the Revitalizing Sleeping Mask and I am loving it. Ingredients to highlight: - Niacinamide (I personally love this ingredient, it definitely works well for my skin although it’s not a necessity for me) - Squalane (Love!) - Pollen Extract (Interesting right?) - Propolis Extract (Great ingredient for those with acne prone skin) - Hyaluronic Acid - Honey Extract - Hydrolyzed Collagen The texture of this product is very light weight which is the perfect addition on top of my regular moisturizer (which is now thicker due to the colder months). I am loving the use of sleeping masks lately, I find them to be so great for the skin! The main thing I love about this product is that not only is it hydrating, it has ingredients that target acne prone skin! It’s a two in one! This does contain fragrance, but the smell is very faint. I don’t mind fragrance at all, it doesn’t make a product any less efficient for me. What is your favorite sleeping mask?
These are a few of my favorite things 🥰🥰
Hopiping on the new beauty buys trend!! These are some products I have gotten within the past month that are amazing!!!! First up is Nature Lab. - Volume Shampoo & Conditioner Duo I have never been so excited about shampoo and conditioner before!! These beauties are made with 🍎 stem cells and rice protein and it smells better than any shampoo and conditioner I have EVER bought!! I badly need volume because I’m losing so much hair doe to health reasons and both of these give me that even when I use a flatiron! They have a line for every hair type and they are clean and vegan 🌱! All around an amazing brand!! $28 for the duo!! high - High Five Cannabis Seed Facial Moisturizer This moisturizer has a really high level of Cannabis sativa seed oil, certified organic plant oils, high-potency antioxidants and pure plant essential oils. It has a wonderful earthy plant like smell but very faint. I honestly worried about this moisturizer being a bit too heavy for my face on normal days but it really isn’t it’s just a really good nice hydrating feeling. It toned down my redness as well which I love! I think this would be great for all skin types! SAINT JANE - Luxury CBD Beauty Serum This is a seriously expensive serum let’s get that out of the way! It’s $125 for an oz. of serum 🥺🥺 So this will not be a repurchase but it’s really really great! It’s got 500 mg. CBD. Along with grape seed oil and sunflower oil amount a few other things. This is a dry skin HOLY GRAIL without a doubt! I used this on a dry patch I had one evening after probably overdoing it with the skin care products. The next morning there wasn’t a hint of flakiness or that dry spot whatsoever on my face. I’m not sure if I could call it healing but that’s what it seems like to me. This little baby will be held until I have winter emergencies!! Bumble and bumble. - Bb.Thickening Spray I know that this product has been around quite a while but this is my first try using it. Like I said above I’m having a lot of issues losing my hair and it’s almost depressing sometimes. This I have been using if I’m gonna leave the house it gives me that extra oomph that my hair needs and it stays that way! It doesn’t have much of a scent which is totally fine but it’s probably the best thickening spray that I’ve used and I’ve definitely used a lot of them. If you have flat or thinning hair I highly recommend trying this! And finally my newest fall lippie purchase, stila - Stay All Day Sheer Liquid Lipstick in the shade portofino. It’s a perfect fall mauve color and I am in loooove! I love Stila’s liquid lip formula. It’s thin and doesn’t dry my lips out! I normally apply this and then a thin layer of Dr. lips balm and it lasts a really long time! This is one of those colors that goes with almost anything so it’s a great purchase!
✨ Some of my favs ✨
These are some of my favorite brands that I 💙!! Purlisse and Yensa and both owned by the same company and make awesome skincare and beauty products. Skin Script is what I use in the treatment room and both my clients and I are obsessed with everything they create. A newer brand I recently discovered is InstaNatural! Hale and Hush is a very good professional brand if you have sensitive skin. Josie Maran can be found at Sephora, but their facial oils are awesome. Yeouth retinol is very gentle on the skin. Most, if not all, these brands are cruelty free, vegan friendly and free from sulfates, parabens and much more! pūrlisse - Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask + Exfoliant YENSA - PUMPKIN TURMERIC 2-in-1 Radiance Polishing Mask JOSIE MARAN - Skin Dope Argan Oil + 100 mg CBD insta natural - Glycolic Acid Serum #skincare #shelfie YEOUTH - Retinol Serum with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera
Here’s what I’ve been think about the three that I’ve tried so far. Keep in mind that I haven’t been using these for long so it’s really more of my first impressions. 🌟Skin Dope with Argan Oil + 100mg CBD: I’ve said it before, not a huge oil person. But this oil is one that I find incredibly hydrating with only two tiny drops being enough to use. I’ve also used it on other areas of my body to soothe any random itches (I get these a lot for some reason). 🌟Argan Exfoliating Cleansing Powder: exfoliating powders and detox masks are my recipe to get rid of congested skin. This is really gentle on your skin and not too abrasive of a scrub. It’s gentle enough to use everyday, which I prefer to do at night. 🌟Whipped Mud Mask: I use this mask a couple times a week after exfoliating. It really helps clear up any congestion I have around my nose, forehead and chin. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight or dry although it is a clay mask. And when it starts to harden on your face it doesn’t feel like it’s sucking out all the moisture, leaving you unable to make facial expressions 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I chose these products based on the fact that there are no ingredients in it that I know my skin has problems with. I used Skincarisma to help decode the ingredients list before making my selection! If you ever need help reading an ingredient list I highly suggest Skincarisma, it’s like a better CosDNA in my opinion 😊

Kiehl's Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal Concentrate 💚 The cannabis sativa seed oil in here is derived from cold-pressed hemp seeds, and kiehls’ formula, using this ingredient, helps to improve the skin’s barrier, reduce visible redness and relieve discomfort, all the while calming and soothing the skin. 💚 The green oregano oil in this product was extracted and distilled from the flowering section of the herb, and it’s included in here because of its purifying properties. kiehls’ formula incorporates oregano oil to help relieve problem skin. 💚 This facial oil is excellent for many reasons, one of them being it is incredibly lightweight! This is so great since we are heading towards warmer weather, but it’s also perfect for cold weather because it’s very buildable. It leaves my skin feeling calm and happy and looking dewy ✨ I love it!

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate
I believe the 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 has been a best-seller of Kiehl’s for many years now. The company website claims that the product... * 𝘝𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴, 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯’𝘴 𝘵𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 * 𝘏𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘴 𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘮 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯’𝘴 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 * 𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘮𝘰𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥-𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯 * 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘧𝘵, 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘺𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘖𝘪𝘭 - an effective on skin barrier repair and boosting radiance. 𝘚𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘦 - a botanical lipid that is similar in molecular structure to natural skin lipids. It has an exceptional affinity to skin, and because it’s easily absorbed, Squalane helps restore skin’s natural moisture balance to keep it extra soft and supple. 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠: Product is in a blue glass bottle with a pippette 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞: Lightweight oil texture. It felt quite heavy at first, especially on my T-zone. But I noticed that it absorbs beautifully onto skin overnight. 𝐒𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐥: It’s very botanical and has a strong lavender scent. You’ll definitely love smelling the lavender before sleep! It’s so relaxing! 𝐌𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭: I have been using the concentrate for almost two months now. I don’t think I can speak about long term results yet but I did fall completely in love with it, I can’t skip it on my night time routine! Let me tell you what I like about the product: 1. It’s super hydrating! Makes your skin so supple and plump, it’ll be perfect for winter time. 2. Visibly reduces redness and skin irritations. I didn’t expect it but it has been keeping my acne bay. I can feel the oil working deep down my skin. 3. Makes you wake up to a well-rested and brighter complexion. 4. Boosts skin's defences against environmental damage and the signs of aging. It's never too early to start with either! 5. It lasts a really long time! For anyone who likes natural products or for people looking for a good hydrating and anti-aging serum, I think this will be worth the try! 𝗪𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞? YES 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ *EDIT : this is basically made with essential oils! If you’re sensitive on these ingredients, it’d be best to skip it!
Kiehl's-Midnight Recovery Concentrate
Face Oils: from the first moment I tried the herbivore botanicals lapis oil I was hooked. ▫️Lapis oil contains Blue Tansy which is high in Azulene which helps to soothe dry, irritated skin and reduce redness. It also balances oily skin (which I don’t have and this oil is still perfect for me). Kukui Nut Oil which is hydrating and nourishing (also helps balance oily and combo skin which again, is not me. I’m dry AF). Jojoba Oil which is s great moisturizing oil that is similar to our own natural sebum. Squalane which is an emollient that helps to lock in moisture. It also helps against hyperpigmentation and aging. Also Jasmine Sambac Oil which increases moisture and helps skin elasticity. I use lapis morning and night, but I mix in a different oil with it for each routine. ▫️Daytime: this is where I mix in my Emerald Oil. This oil is lightweight but very moisturizing so it’s perfect for daytime. It contains Cannabis Sativa (Hemp) Seed Oil which is rich in Omega-3, 6 and 9 fatty acids, Gamma Linolenic acids and Vitamin E. It soothes redness and irritation while also preventing signs of aging. It also has Cannabis Essential Oil which is used in aromatherapy to calm the mind. Ashwagandha and Turmeric Root both have healing properties and help fight against environmental stressors. Shiitake Mushroom contains Vitamin D and also helps prevent premature signs of aging. And more. ▫️Nighttime: enter Phoenix Oil which is probably the most nourishing oil I’ve used so far. This oil contains Rose Hip Oil which helps to brighten and even skin tone. Sea Buckthorn and Meadowfoam Oils both help to moisturize and hydrate. Chia Seed CO2 is a natural source of Alpha Lipoic Acid to enhance glow and radiance. It’s also high in antioxidants and phytonutrients to reduce the appearance of aging from sun exposure. As well as Neroli Oil to brighten the appearance of the skin. . . I honestly can’t live without these oils in my routine.🖤

Old vs. New: Sunday Riley CEO Facial Oil
My acne prone skin is always red and it’s so hard to correct sometimes. One product that has really done wonders for me is Sunday Riley’s CEO Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil. I received my first bottle of the product over the summer in a swag bag and my skin loved every drop of it. It lasted me until last week and I repurchased the travel sized version, which is $40 cheaper. I love to use this in the morning since it has vitamin C and it gives my skin a warm glow thanks to its yellow-orange hue. This oil absorbs fast into the skin and delivers a brightening, antioxidant-rich blend of vitamin C and turmeric straight to the cells. It also features ginger root extract, which promotes evenness of skin tone and help to soothe the look of sensitivity – something that’s great for people battling redness. The anti-inflammatory properties of the turmeric and ginger combined have also been a blessing for my acne. They help reduce the redness and size of my breakouts and I think it’s been helping keep major cystic pimples at bay. I’m a fan of this oil for its brightening and anti-inflammatory properties and wouldn’t say that it’s the best for someone looking for a significant boost in hydration. My acne-fighting routine contains a lot of acids and often leaves my skin on the dry side and this face oil doesn’t really help prevent that. Depending on how dry my skin is, I’ll follow up with another hydrating facial oil to really add that moisture it needs or opt for a thicker moisturizer.
