NEW PRODUCTS IM TESTING!!
Hello all, I haven’t posted in a while and just wanted to update everyone. I’ve been testing a bunch of new products (so exciting!) and I’m just about ready to give my opinion on them so stay tuned for a new post!!
Halloween Spiderweb Makeup 🕸 🕷
Ok this is Cherie so were all in agreement that Halloween makeup is the best part of Halloween correct? I find it so fun to play around with all types of makeup ideas every year. This is a great time to let your creativity shine through and have fun fulfilling your yearly fantasy of being a ladybug, scarecrow, hippie, Disney character, or just be abstract. This year I've decided to try the trendy spiderweb eyeliner look. I feel this look is a really cute Halloween twist to eyeliner and as difficult as it may look can be easily created. I also love that this trend can be completely your own, I’ve seen some people do spider web butterflies, flare their web out past their brow and even do a full lower lash web. To put my own twist on this I’ve decided to do a neon green under neath to make the spider web pop even more! To start this look you will need to first get an idea of how much web you want on your liner. I decided to go simple and create a smaller web branching off of the wing and going into the corner. After you have a stong idea of the look your trying to achieve you will take out a soft eyeliner pencil to start drafting your look. I am only going to draft out the web however if your unsure about your wing you can sketch that out as well. Once you have your draft take your sharpest liner and begin to create the web. I am choosing to do this with my Danessa Myricks liner in shade Electric Sun DANESSA MYRICKS BEAUTY - Waterproof Cushion Liner . After I will take my inglot gel liner and go over it. INGLOT - AMC Eyeliner Gel I recommend using a gel liner with a super fine detailed brush to help mitigate any errors. If you dont like working with gels then find a liquid liner that has a super thin applicator that can allow you to get fine details. I am using my Morphe MORPHE - M160-1/16 Angled Eyeliner Brush I hope you all try this super fun look this Halloween season! If you do please tag me on Instagram so I can see how your personal touch Halloween 👻

Best liquid concealer for a no makeup look
I know a lot of people love it so I was excited to try it. They came out with a bunch of new shades. The one I grabbed is light. It blends amazingly well and looks like I’m not wearing anything when paired with just a powder on top. Doesn’t crease under my eyes and lasts through a long and hot work day. I get a tad bit more oily halfway through the day but it doesn’t look bad if that makes sense. I think this may be my new favorite concealer. It looks natural and blends amazingly well into my skin. If you’ve tried Glossier’s stretch concealer and enjoyed that but hated how oily it gets (and the fact that it doesn’t last) this one may be up your alley.
My Holy Grail
-Even though I have normal skin, the foundation lays on my skin so beautiful. Leaves a nice canvas for me to put on my other powder makeup. Highly recommend for customers who have normal, and oily skin. The price is 34+tax which is really good. I love the formula on this foundation, and the smell is Pleasantly nice. - I use this concealer on a daily basis because it’s very light weight. It can be buildable as well. If you already have a foundation that is full coverage than this concealer would be perfect to correct some dark spots. I use a beauty blender to blend both of my concealer and foundation :))) #FirstAidBeauty #FentyBeauty #slay

Saved My Oily Face
I’ve always struggle with oily face, mainly around the t-zone. I’ve tried many, many different primera and foundations and my face was oily within 2 hours of applying my make up. I’ve tried the Too Faced line and wow! I mix the primer with three drops of The Ordinary Niacinamide first, I dump my Real Technique blender and I apply the foundation. Lastly, I apply the setting powder with the same dumped blender. This make up line helps my face stay hydrated without getting oily. Too Faced - Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation REAL TECHNIQUES - Miracle Complexion Sponge Too Faced - Hangover Primer The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Too Faced - Peach Perfect Setting Powder ***bonus - I subscribed to the Too Faced email list and I get discounts promotions often. So I buy my products with them at discounted price instead of paying full time at Ulta or Sephora 😉
Great everyday foundation and highlight
Although these products are on the pricer side, I really recommend the Peach perfect comfort matte foundation by too faced, and the becca champagne pop highlighter. I’ve used them for years and I found that I’ve never had an issue with them, even when I broke out and my skin texture changed. They have a great range of tones for the peach perfect foundation and I have found the perfect match. It’s a very comfortable wear and doesn’t cake or become too oily. As for the highlighter, it’s definitely a more universal tone, however mine has broken twice in my makeup bag!!
My Everyday Makeup Routine for a Natural Look
I’m a natural-makeup kind of gal all year round. But, I emphasize this in the spring and summer! The warmer weather is the perfect time to emphasize glowy and dewy skin topped off with a glossy lip. Of course, everyone’s different! This is what works for me, though. I start with this Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot primer. It’s the closest thing I could find to Benefit’s iconic POREfessional! The results are almost identical and it costs a fraction of the price. Then, if I’m using any foundation at all, it’s Maybelline’s classic Fit Me. This formula has served me well since high school. Since I don’t use foundation too much in the warmer months, this is perfect for a quick look. For my face, I love Milani’s blushes. They’re so cute and the color is nearly perfect for my skin tone. I love the way it blends with my NYX bronzer, too. For my eyes, I’m still obsessed with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture palette! It’s super versatile and I love putting Adorn on my lid, Mercury in my crease and Electric in my inner corner. My eyebrows and lips are the easiest steps. On my brows, I usually just fill them in with a light brown eyeshadow very gently. Or, I’ll simply coat them with this Maybelline clear mascara! It works well on eyebrows, too, when you just want a natural look. However, if I’m feeling fancy, I’ll go in with Benefit’s Gimme Brow. It’s a cult classic for a reason! The application is super easy and it lasts a long time! I just don’t have one on me right now. Quarantine life🤷🏼♀️. Even though I’m spending a lot of time inside in my sweats these days, I like to pamper myself with a light makeup look on some days! That’s why I’ve been focusing on using up my drugstore products vs splurging on anything super expensive. But, some exciting stuff is in the works from our favorite brands! I’m soooo excited to review those😊.

Little orange cut crease I did today
I used the darkest orange shade from the Morphe 35B and I deepened up the crease a little with the red shade. I cut my crease with the Elf camo concealer and set it with the white shade from the morphe 35B then packed the gold shade from that same palette in my inner corner.

Just wanted to show my support as well as do a rainbow makeup look with the MORPHE - 35I Icy Fantasy Artistry Palette . Super cute palette. Morphe palettes are my favorite. The pigment isn’t too bold but you can definitely build the colors up which I love. Blending is also super easy since the pigment isn’t bold right off the bat which is great for beginners or even just practicing looks. Also a great palette for both subtle or dramatic looks. Some of the glitters show better when applied with your finger instead of a brush. If you want bold pigment to start I would suggest using a base. For my base I used e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer w morphes translucent setting powder. All around great palette.

So let me introduce to you all another Colourpop eyeshadow palette that’s not only suitable for Summer but also for Autumn.🌺 It’s the Colourpop Sol palette and I accidently dropped it; hence the reason to the tiny chipped piece on one of the shades. The Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation is also one of my most favourite foundations, it’s just amazing! I love the coverage, the healthy feeling it gives my skin and the longetivity! It’s a bit more to the medium to full coverage.🌹 The Lancôme Monsieur Big mascara is just.. not for me. Yes it gave me large voluminous lashes but it crumbled and left me with panda eyes.🐼
Ashley Lee Cosmetics is a Cruelty-free Miami based company. They have some awesome and affordable beauty products! I am loving their Picture Perfect Liquid Foundation, it lasts all day and have a very beautiful finish!! Other favorite of mine is this beautiful Palette Clutch which includes 88 very pigmented shades, amazing! - not to mention the beautiful packaging! And let’s not forget about these cute Ecofriendly brushes, they’re super soft and made with biodegradable wheat straw handles! 🙌🏻
Eyeshadow Primer Potion
URBAN DECAY - Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion Have you ever applied eyeshadow only to sickbed that it’s barely there a few hours later? This eyeshadow primer by Urban Decay helps set a perfect base to ensure long lasting eye makeup. It has a slightly sticky texture which helps the eyeshadow adhere to your lid. I also like that it has an almost white color (easily blendable though) which helps give you the true eyeshadow color vs how it blends with your skin. Have repurchased this several times and will continue to do so!

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
